Good enough for an affordable stay”

For an outdated looking place, it was a pretty good stay. Staff is friendly and took care of us during our few weeks there. Hotel stayed clean and was semi quiet. The room had the essential amenities and nice big screen tv. The bonus for me was it’s a walk from the heart of downtown. Aside from the old aesthetics, the downside of this place is the lack of amenities outside the room. The cafe is only open for a few short hours each morning and is buffet style with limited options. Also the place attracts a few undesirables here and there, but nothing major. Overall I would go back.

Nice rooms halls need remodeling ”

The location seemed ok for the most part. There were a couple people without homes walking around, but they don’t bother me. Plus they didn’t ask for anything. The rooms were nice, wooden floors. The hallways had carpet from God knows when. That needs to become wooded floors and get remodeled. Breakfast was a buffet and either came with your room or you had to pay $7.00. In my opinion. It was worth the money. I would stay again.

The only thing is be aware when you first walk in your room (mine at least) there is a closet with a full length mirror facing the door so it looks like someone is in there already! Scary. Also the tv was on. Weird!

Tangible plusses and superficial minuses”

Definitely showing its age, but not unlivable. Decent basic accommodations with a mini-fridge and microwave. Toilet was slow to flush, but great water pressure in the shower. Comfortable bed that's not too soft or hard. Variable AC that worked well but it's a little loud at higher settings. Decent TV and channel options. Overall a workable middle-of-the-road option.

Staff are the best, room was horrible ”

Fantastic reception at check in and check out. But the room. Fan was noisy out of date. No carpet with bed on wheels. Either would be fine, but with this combo, I would slide and fall backwards between the headboard and bed if I sat up in bed and leaned back on the pillows. Hair and soap scum in the shower. Gross. My room was also next to elevator and ice machine. Bed too soft. I was sore getting up in the morning. Beautiful Television.

I think Red Lion is a really nice hotel very clean very professional but what made me angry this time around when trying to stay here because I've stayed at this place a few times in the past was the that they were wanting me to pay $200 deposit just to stay I only had enough money for my hotel for one night I didn't have enough for the deposit as well I think it's ridiculous they would charge that much money especially to people who don't really have much money as it is because of covid-19 trying to stay motels so my kids are in the shelters are sleeping in our car and they want to go and charge people that much money last time I stayed here was last summer and I never charged any of that and now since January of this year they changed their policy that's ridiculous who wants to pay $200 for accidental fee that you'll get back at the end of your stay and you don't even get it back right away it takes a few days

Confused”

This hotel is a 3.5 star hotel? Why? Because they have a ballroom and a semi Fitness room. There's No Business Center there is no pool no hot tub. The furniture in the hotel lobby looks like the original Furniture purchase when the hotel opened in the 1970s or 60s. A homeless shelter has purchase half the hotel so only have the hotel is available for business Personnel the other half is for homeless people. The breakfast in the mornings is identical every single day with no difference. And cost $7 there's no complimentary breakfast which would not be a big deal if everything else was up to standard.

Hotel is at a good location for medical personnel traveling to St. Lukes downtown. However, there technology is out dated and charged my checking account 224.00. Not So Clean and Sometimes Hospitable”

Hot tub pool area not cleaned regularly. Some Highlights: Table covered in smashed chips, cigarette butts on the ledge of the hot tub, a chunky film atop the water in the corner of the hot tub, dirty towels strewn around surrounding patio area. The room was a little better: Clean counters. Great toiletries. Really nice front desk when we asked for two more towels. There was hair on the pillow case. The fridge/microwave cabinet and tub grout was in bad need of repair. Upholstery on chair and foot stool looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in some time. Housekeeping skipped us, though we were only there two nights, some more shampoo

Acceptable”

We had to switch rooms twice. The first time was because the air conditioner in the room was barely working in 90 + degrees weather, just blowing warm air. The second time was because there was no shower curtain in the bathroom built to accommodate someone with a disability, (so there was no bathtub). We stayed in the 3rd room we were moved to even though the air conditioner did not work that well either. All in all a disappointing stay!
