Stranded in the cold”
We recently got stuck in Dallas they canceled our flight home because of some freezing a** cold weather! We didn't have another flight until the next night late in the evening so I needed a room for at least one night but maybe two so I booked two because of the great deal on a price thanks Agoda! I read the reviews on this place and it sounded great. Nope! First of all, the rooms were on the outside of the Mo-tel and they were old and dank smelling even in the cold. Once we sat on one of the beds the air that came from it smelled of urine. We checked out the other bed for bedbugs and urine stains which we didn't see any signs of so that's the one we used for the few hours we did stay there because the next morning at 7a I was ready to go! I called the airline and informed someone that I needed an earlier flight at any means necessary it worked out and we were checking out by 8a. So I called Agoda to ask for a partial refund not expecting but just maybe they'll be nice she was and said that if the Mo-tel would give me a waiver she would definitely give me a credit for that night. So I asked the front desk guy to just accept the deal give me the refund since we're checking out before checkout and we don't need the room so they have plenty of time to resell. He was such an A- hole and wouldn't answer the phone for Agoda then told me he's not losing his job for me. I've had several front desk people to accept the waiver and do a refund and never been fired from their job. It's an option that helps out the customer because you are going to resell that room that day anyway! They did not refund me any money and it was the worse room I've stayed in in years of traveling. Their was hair all over the floor we never took our shoes off the bathroom and sink area could use an upgrade and the mattresses felt like they were older than my son and had been flipped so many times it was like a water bed. I would not stay here again because of the unacceptable rooms and the rude morning front desk guy. The overnight guy was great though.
