Filthy hotel, poorly maintained, mattress smelled”
The room I was given smelled and the odor may have come from the mattress. The mattress was badly stained, torn and had no mattress cover. During the night I received numerous bedbug bites. Someone should report this hotel to the Texas board of health. It is my understanding that this hotel is a franchise, so the owner is definitely not maintaining the Red Roof quality standards.

BEWARE- BEDBUGS ”
I have notified Texas board of health and taking legal action. When I pulled the sheets off the bed the mattress was dirty and torn and thus a breeding ground for bedbugs. I was seriously bitten 20 times resulting in infection. The Plano Redroof Hotel is a franchise and I can only assume the owner is negligent regarding sanitation and cleanliness. Stay there at your own risk.

Sneaky staff”
I paid for 7 nights which was 376. I go to room and check my balance which went from 997 to 175. I was furious and went to the front asking them if they did a mistake, the guy kept insisting that there was no error on there part. I called my bank and they saw that the hotel had charged me twice for the one week. I went back and talked to the manager it seemed like and all of a sudden they spot the error and promptly fix it. Now in fighting to get my 50 dollar deposit back. And in top if that they put me in a room with no fridge or microwave. This place sucks.

The room I had was huge. Very bare bones, so if you have a lot of luggage to bring inside with you, you'll have plenty of room. A few downsides to it being bare bones is that you should expect to be eating out more, or eat exclusively non perishable foods, as my room didn't have a fridge or microwave. Other than that, I was grateful I was able to bring my cat with me. The price is very similar to getting any other low end hotel, usually having my cat put in a hostel is $25 a night, so I saved myself tons.
