Comfortable hotel with a superb location!”
Osaka Floral Inn Namba was an excellent place for my husband and I to stay during the 3 days we were in Osaka in June 2012. The location in Namba is unbeatable as you are close to great shopping, entertainment, and most important to us, FOOD! The rooms are small (which seems to be common by Japanese standards), but very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and spoke some English. Check in and out times are a little inconvenient (late check in, early check out), but the hotel will allow you to store your bags with them so you can go out sightseeing outside of the strict check in/out times, which we appreciated. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again!
Awesome hotel right in the middle of the action in Namba”
Could not have asked for a better hotel right in the heart of Namba. Everything was a couple minutes away. Room was quiet and while it was small (which is expected for hotels in Namba), the location could not be beat. I will definitely consider these guys again on our next trip to Osaka. Staff were friendly and attentive with our requests and our room was clean and tidy. Free Wifi was excellent for us (so not sure why people were leaving negative reviews about it) and free bottled water everyday during our stay was a nice touch. Thank you Red Roof Plus Namba Hotel for our great experience.
First stop, travelling with 2 young children.”
Booked a 3 night stay for my first stop in Osaka. Room: Room was a double bed room. Amenities are sufficient and convenient, with many plug points for charging my wifi router and 2 phones. I like the toiletries that came with the room. plentiful and useful. Shower toiletries was pleasant smelling and seems to be same brand across the board with the different hotel we stayed in Osaka/Kyoto. Double bed is definitely not spacious enough for 4. Had to upgrade to a twin room the next morning. Parents with children do note, book a twin if you are a party of 4. Staff: Pleasant staff who were very helpful in my request for an upgrade, brought me to view a twin room as well. Mr KT Kim was able to converse well in English and was very helpful in helping me upgrade my room in my 3rd stop at the same hotel 4 days later. Location: Nearest exit is Namba Walk Exit 22 if you have a pram. If not, exit 24. Do NOT exit at subway exit 24, its exit is inside Namba Walk.
Great find!”
It's our first time in Osaka and after much research on which area to stay, we found this hotel. What we like: + hotel is walking distance from Namba Station. Our flight was delayed, so we missed the Nankai Express. We took the airport limousine bus to Namba Station. With the help of Google map, we were able to easily (we felt safe walking the area around 1:30am) find the hotel. + Namba Walk (exits B22 & B26) is just right outside the door. Plenty of shops and leads to Namba Sta. + there is a Family Mart right beside the hotel entrance + Dotonbori is just behind the hotel. From hotel door, turn left and in the corner, you'll find the grilled "fish" with bean paste (sorry I don't know what it's called). Turn right, and in the next block, there is melon pan (yummy ice cream sandwich) + there is a currency exchange machine, luggage weighing scale
Good location!clean hotel!”
This is our last night at Osaka , after Kyoto , Nara and Kobe. We stayed one night at red roof plus . Easy to find, it's just opposite the electronic store 'Big Camera'. Most important that it's very close to Nankai Namba station, they have express train to kansai airport! The room is decent renovation , with very powerful water for shower, which I like it very much! The room is quite small , hard to find a place to put the luggage . The room is small but with very big and nice tv! The hotel just beside 'sennichimae' shopping street( full of bars , restaurants), and walking distance to dotonbori and shinsaibashi. The Namba walk just in front of the hotel. ( exit B26).
Good hotel that we would come back”
the location is superb. very convenient to travel around kansai area. easy to reach and find even for the first timer. to get to the hotel, you just take the nankai train to its destination. no train change. get off the station to the ground level and after a 5-10 minute walk, you reach the hotel. we travelled around kansai area: osaka, kyoto and nara. the location of the hotel made the travel plan easy. namba is the junction of 5 railways, and you can go anywhere easily in kansai from here. there are two things that might let some travellers down. 1. the room space is tiny. that's normal in japan especially in a big city like osaka. 2. the hotel is on the second floor. the escalator runs only one way. it runs down in the morning and runs up in the evening. if you reach the hotel in the morning, you will have a good excercise carrying all the luggages over the stairs. other than those 2 complaints, the hotel is great. we will be definitely back.
It's a good choice”
We have enjoyed our stay at Osaka Floral Inn. Our 5th day was fully booked so we ended up booking to a nearby hotel,if not, then we would gladly stay heretil our last day.Very basic, but it's value for money as it's location is very good.Hotels very close to Dotonbori-it's right next to it in fact. Go down from the hotel, walk to your right, you'll see an alley(on ur right)right after Sunkus (convenience store) then voila! You'll find everything that you need(ramen, yakiniku, takoyaki, shopping ctrs, name it). You'll find starbucks as well and the famous Don Quijote (discount store) by the river where you can buy things that you can take home all tax-free (dont forget to bring your passport and *pls check on the min cost of items first thats covered to save you the hassle of lining up).You can't also miss taking a photo of Glicoman☺ from the bridge(in front of starbucks-ull see it once you're there). So I would i really suggest you booking this hotel. From Shin-Osaka,take the subway to NAMBA Station. From the station, exit towards the NAMBA WALK(you'll see that on the signage where you can see all other exits). The most convenient exits for us going to the hotel will depend if you have big luggages or not. First, exit B22 (left side exit -which we wished we could have found out first as we have big luggages) you can either take the stairs or better yet, take Round One's(amusement center-but dont know how early it operates though) elevator and if you do,go up and select 1st floor.Go out to your left and walk straight you'll find Sunkus convenience store, look up then you'll find the hotel then go up the narrow escalator (it's a very very short walk-less than 5 mins). Then next would be exit B26 (left side exit still) - it's quite farther but at the same time you can make few stops to shop, you can find a money changer along the way as well.So when you found the exit,go up to the stairs(no escalator nor elevator) the you can already see the hotel as you exit the subway.
Cute hotel with all the needed requirements”
The hotel entrance is a little hard to find, but once there, its very cute inside. Great for women to stay at too. The rooms were surprisingly big for Japan standards, lots of space around the bed and the bed itself. Generally clean and nice, also tries to be environmental by choosing to not change the sheets for you if you choose to, but will definitely still change your towels and throw out the trash. The location is great, close to the shopping arcade entrances by Dotombori and also the south side of Namba where there is more shopping arcades and Namba Parks. If you catch the Nankai Namba train from Kansai Airport, its only a 5-10 minute walk from Nankai Namba station, or Namba station. Friendly service, although limited english, they are always pleasant and friendly. Cold A/C, all basic toiletries, and tea pot for hot water. Overall, great business hotel to stay at.
Fun stay in osaka”
Our stay in Osaka Floral Inn was an enjoyable one. First is the buffet breakfast, which has a wide variety of choices, different foods and drinks. Second, the accommodating staff. They are knowledgeable and well-versed in the English language that we did not encounter any problem communicating with them. Third, is the cleanliness of the hotel. Housekeeping staff even fixed our messed things, for it to be-in place. The hotel is also located in a shopping district. Which means, outside the hotel, you can already walk to Namba walk for anything to be bought, cellphones, clothes, to sports wear. It is also near the iconical, the glowing glico-running man.
Great location, clean, friendly”
if you do not need to be close to a jr station in osaka, go for this hotel. a bit bigger than most japanese business hotel room with fast internet. everything else is just like any other japanese business hotel. it is close to namba subway and namba nankai. so, it is easy to get in and easy to take the nankai rapit to kix. osaka is a food city and this neighborhood is no exception. will stay there again.
Good Place To Stay In Namba”
The hotel's location is perfect for people who want to shop at Dotonbori and Shinsaibashisuji Shopping Street. It is 2 to 5 minute walk to both locations, since they are close to each other. The room was very clean and spacious. I stayed in there one room 3 twin sized beds. The room was big enough for my two friends and I. The bathroom was a standard size with the shower having a door. The staff was very friendly and they answered any questions I had. The hotel was kind enough to hold on to our luggage after check out, while my friends and I shopped a bit more before going to the airport. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to Namba station and the closest subway exit is B22 at station Nippombashi. The exit is on the basement floor to Round 1 Bowling and Arcade. The hotel is 30 minutes away to Universal Studios Japan by subway. It is also 20 to 25 minutes away from Osaka Castle. The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom door was a sliding door, so that means that if someone was by the bathroom door they can hear what you are doing.
helpful staff and amazing experience in Floral Inn”
Stayed 1 night on November with family. As most people said, the location is great, just a few minutes away from Dotombori area and Namba station. The room is fine(we booked 3-single-bed room) and the bed is comfortable. I would like to thank the hotel staff for their professionalism and their help, especially Mr. Bamba. My daughter's passport was lost and we found out somebody had returned it to Kansai airport police. I was contacting the airport police but the people on duty don't speak English. It was Mr. Bamba, who explained to them, made a few phone calls to make arrangement so I can pick up it from the airport before I left the country. He was patient and extremly helpful. He made my last day in Osaka happy and memorable. I picked up the passport at 14:30 and we boarded the plane at 17:00. Thank you again, Mr. Bamba! I can imagine this lost and found experience could happen in another country, and we really appreciated the hotel staff's help.
Bargain hotel in the bustling center of Namba”
Overall the stay at this hotel was quite pleasant. Located just minutes away from the subway systems, we could get anywhere in Osaka and beyond conveniently. Better yet, it is a brief walk away from the Namba area, and right above the Namba Walk underground shopping strip. Great restaurants and shops are moments away. With that being said, your experience may vary. In our party, two of us had a nice stay and one was miserable. The disparity? The floor. A higher floor will basically ensure you have a relatively quiet stay, while a lower floor will mean you hear all the hustle and bustle of Osaka well into the small hours of the night. Highly recommend Agoda travelers to request a higher floor if possible. Another minor issue is there is only one escalator going up to the hotel, meaning you have to take the stairs up/down depending on the time of the day. Suitcase ramp is also poorly designed, resulted in a very heavy suitcase tumbling over the side and shattering; it is difficult to envision handicapped visitors having a good stay here. The entrance to the hotel is by far the worst part of the building and holds the hotel back. Hotel staff was par for the course in terms of Japan's stellar service, had good English skill, and cleaning staff were courteous and nearly invisible. Not much in terms of amenities, but that is expected going in. Overall would recommend for the convenience and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Great location!”
If you want to be i the middle of everything and close to transport this is the place to stay! Literally around the corner from the famous Dotonbori area. Great for dinner and night life! Namba train station is only a 7 min walk under ground through shops etc very easy to access and work your way there. Rooms were small, but don't expect anything bigger around Osaka. They were clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Staff were friendly and it was easy to check in and out. Would highly recommend this hotel
Osaka experience”
Well I would like to commend Red Roof Plus Osaka for making our stay comfortable. Although the room was so small it didn't make trouble on us. Only the internet connection was very slow. My iPhone couldn't connect to the internet... that's the only problem I experienced during my stay. But overall I would say I'm contented. You can easily access Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi and many other locations within namba. Just a few walk you can go down easily to Namba Walk. And the train stations was also close to the hotel. I will surely check in again to this hotel. And many thanks to all who made our stay happy and comfortable...
Osaka is good for shopping, having nice foods”
It's much better than we thought. It's clean where staffs came to clean our room everyday making me surprised with their service. I didn't expect much because of the price. The bed is bigger than I thought. My bed was bigger than usual single bed. The twin room I stayed can surely takes 3 people. It's very close to major shopping area namba city & 0101 shopping mall. It's also very close to nice restro. If I come back to Osaka, I will pick this hotel again.
Best location”
The location for Red Roof Namba is really superb. Located right at Dotonburi and Namba Metro Station, you can simply travel anywhere and everywhere, be it out of town or within Dotonburi, everything's literally a stone throw away. The rooms were also huge for Japan Hotel Standards, not to mention in downtown. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely revisit the next time we are in Osaka.
Great location, Clean rooms and Good services”
Location: Very close to Subway stations, Shopping center (Namba, Dotonburi, Shinsaibashi). Restaurant: Mini-mart is just next to the hotel. Many local food restaurants are located around the hotel. Staff: Friendly and have well communication skill. Food: I did not try any meal in the hotel Room: Small but clean. Full of amenities in shower room You may leave the languages in the lobby before check-in time or after check-out time. I enjoy staying in this hotel for 3 days that i was in Osaka. It's a good choice for those who love shopping and try local food.
Very happy 2nd stay at Red Roof Plus Namba !”
The hotel has been refurbished exceeded my expectation ! Very happy stay, location was fantastic, between Namba and Nipponbashi stations (the latter is nearer) Dotonbori is just a few mins walk away, convinience stores downstairs, down the street and opposite the road. Separately shower room and toilet room by the middle section sink and mirror is brilliant ! Wooden flooring is much cleaner than carpet and comfy bed and pillows ! Definitely will recommend and will stay again if returning to Osaka !!
Very recommended for regular stay in Osaka”
Great stay, I wish I could stay at this hotel the whole week I was in Osaka (but that weekend was full-booked, so I had to move to other hotel). It's value for money! Nothing fancy, but it is just all I need for a comfortable stay in a hotel. The room is clean and spacious enough for Japan standard, completed with in-room Wifi, also equipped with complete bathroom amenities and ion hair dyer! This hotel is strategically located in Namba area, very close to Big Camera, Dotonburi and Nipponbashi subway station, within walking distance to the Shinsaibashi Shopping Arcade. In front of the hotel is exit 26 of Namba Walk (Namba underground shopping arcade that connects to Namba subway and JR station).
