I usually stay at this hotel when my husband is in town for a day but this was horrible. The desk clerk informed me that the power would be out from 10pm until 7am the next morning. I was ok with it as it was not supposed to be an uncomfortably hot night. However, I was awakened at 3am by my husband weezing and coughing trying to breathe. Luckily for me I had a hand fan and kept fanning him until he was able to breathego back to sleep. We had to open our door which was not a comfortable position for us to be in at 3am. It was my mistake for checking in and thinking it was going to be ok. The clerk also let me know that there was no refund once I checked in. I looked up the street from the hotel at 3am and there were lights, not sure why there were none on the back side of the hotel. Next time I will stay somewhere else.

Overall, it was ok. One of the 2 rooms was not ready at 3 which I check in time. One room had a shower with the prior guest's hair on the walls. The other bathroom had the prior guest's dry wash cloth still hanging from the shower rod. The rooms are obviously not well cleaned or sanitized between guests. There was dust on the back of the headboards. The room looked fine big picture but the devil is in the details. Only one of the 4 outlets in the nightstand power strip worked. One of the room keys did not work but was replaced. If you or someone you're traveling with is disabled it may not be the best choice. The only rooms that are wheelchair accessible have king beds which doesn't work well for family travel. The wheelchair could not pass the first of the 2 double beds so I had to carry my 13 year old to the bath and back. They offered to change rooms but we had already unpacked and would not have been able to have other rooms next to each other. They are also cheap with extra towels. 1 room had 3 occupants and only 2 sets of towels. When I asked for extra towels for the 2 rooms I was given exactly 1 set of towels.. there is nothing extra about that. It's the minimum we need. That what this hotel is-the minimum you need. It is an ok hotel. I could have paid more and now I wish I would have to have a better experience

The first room we got was dirty, hair on the comforters, dust all ovee the ground and the bathroom looked barely cleaned. We got moved to another room which was acceptable. Penny (peggy?) At the front was very helpful. Location is good right next to old town. Elevators were dirty. It wasnt great but not terrible either

For the least expensive hotel in the DMV it has a fridge, microwave and hot water. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are clean. Walking distance to Walmart. I'll stay here again.
