Dear Guest. I appreciate your positive feedback about our hotel. We do take pride in catering to our guests’ needs the best way we can. If you’re traveling to our area again soon, don’t hesitate to call us.
evening front desk receptionist was very welcoming, overall room is clean, breakfast was what you would generally expect from a 3 star, ony setback was the slight caved in mattress. a recommended hotel in the Torrance area.
Very Good, but some layout needs improvement”
Very nice and clean hotel. Geared towards Japanese travelers and those that want to experience Japanese life. Japanese style breakfaster, deeper Japanese type bathtubs, and Japanese style fancy toilets with bidet and water sprout to clean your bottom. The areas that need improvement are things like 1) light switch for bathroom is by the sink, so person has to walk in semi-darkness to get to the light switch. 2) Curtains above the heater / cooler is in the way of the vent opening, so it stops some of the heat and cool to get out into the room. Need a simple solution to keep curtains from hanging in front of the heater/ cooler vent. 3) Bathtubs and showers do not have shelves to place soap, shampoo etc. 4) Few other similar situations which made a person scratch their heads. Overall very good experience.
3 nights, 2 rooms, enjoyed the stay.”
I switched rooms since I only had day-to-day reservations due to a flexible schedule. They were very kind and helpful. Nice hotel and would stay again. I definitely saved $20 or more per night using the Agoda site.
Great stay overall!”
The staff were nice and the rooms were comfortable! There is a Japanese influence to the hotel, which made it an added experience! I would definitely stay here again!
The hotel is not that big but neat, clean and decent. The location is just perfect not so busy .”
Their restroom is the one that I appreciate a lot. I have been to big hotels and casino hotels but I havent experience the most comfortable restroom that they have, that “little machine-that pampers” us ladies.
Excellent hotel. Have stayed here before and the service and accommodation are always great. The rooms are clean and well kept.
Stay at Redac Gateway Hotel”
My room was upgrade from regular room to suite since I personally known president of this hotel. However, the water pressure of shower was too low and some offensive odor comes from sewer pipe. This room wasn't rehabbed yet, so eventually it will better, but these are few points that I had concerned. Otherwise, the stay was present and I would like to book this hotel again.

If you’re a woman you can be fined”
Ok staying (if you’re ok with centipedes, smell of weed in your room once in a while - both of which because the space between entrance door and floor is like an inch and some spots on pillow cases). But be prepared if you’re a woman then you might be fined just to be one. I guess bleeding (which happens with every woman in a childbearing age), makeup (specially waterproof) and having red hair is forbidden in this hotel. Never happened to me before that I was fined $100 for “staining” 3 towels with a vegan semipermanent dye in my hair. Somehow any other hotels and myself at home were able to do laundry and get rid of that “problem” but not this one. Oh and I guess women also not worth their attention when you’re trying to call them. The person at the front desk politely told me that this issue can be dispute with the front desk manager and she’ll send me information how to do so by email but I guess I’m not worth it as 3 days later still no email from them.
reviews were misleading and disappointing ”
I only booked it cause of the reviews and i think its some kind of scam when the hotel is not of a major chain. pros: - front desk staff - free parking - free breakfast that the good thing to have is serial, coffee and mini bagels cons: - location is so far from everything, i spent gas money to make up for the difference in room rates with others - bathroom is so small, it is ridiculous, the sink and mirrors are outside the bathtub. - safety deposit box not working and they said it is not been setup for all the rooms - towels are plenty but few times found stains. - everything else in the hotel was just ok,
Passing through ”
Didn’t know it catered to Japanese tourist but it made difference. The room was very clean, big too, nice bed and charming staff. Breakfast catered to the jananese taste but plenty of choices for me.
Awesome hotel ”
Nice, clean, convenience hotel. Great service. :)
Dear Chia. Thank you for your review and for choosing our hotel. I’m pleased that you enjoyed your stay and I’m looking forward to having you again as a guest in our hotel.
Money could have been better spent”
I found this hotel through Agoda and it was listed at a 3.5 star hotel. I spent seven nights there. The room was okay, as it had been updated, only had a small issue with ants. The lobby was fine, but the hotel halls and elevators are dated and needs some work. My biggest issue with the REDAC is, I paid $110.00 per night to stay there and only received house keeping/room cleaning once in the whole seven days. And to top it off, it was not half way through my stay. The day my room was scheduled to be cleaned, I only had two days left on my stay. All in all, for $110.00 per night, I would have done better going to a Comfort Inn or something similar. I will never stay there again.
Overrated service and room condition”
My stay was barely adequate. Though it is a quiet and secure part of town near some major international corporate offices, this hotel is old and it shows. The mattresses were the thickness and comfort one finds in bunk beds in the prison system. Just terrible! The WiFi was a constant problem. My laptop could not connect, although my cell phone could. The signal was weak. The room was old and musty. The hotel is undergoing overhaul and there is plastic covering the floor path to the elevators. This is to enable the construction workers to haul wheel barrows of cement up to the rooms via the elevators to refurbish the bathrooms in the rooms that are being overhauled. It's a piecemeal project. The staff at the front desk is exclusively American-Japanese and the hotel seems to cater to mostly Japanese business people. There is no diversity in hiring which I found odd. Don't be fooled by the name. This hotel primarily caters to Japanese clientele. They are not very welcoming to people of other nationalities. I will never stay there again.
Dear Guest We do apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. If you’re traveling to our area again soon, don’t hesitate to call us.
No worth it. ”
Ok for the price. The hotel tried to show a modern feeling, but not successfully. Underneath the new paint and remodel it’s a old building, that looks like it was “flipped”. The quality of bed sheets and towels were not good. The bed sheet looked clean, but was stained. Hotel had chipped paint and hole on the walls and door frames... it could’ve been remodeled more carefully. One thing that really bother me was that the shower had almost no water pressure at all. Totally gave up trying to wash my hair. I did found these things to be good: staff were very friendly and professional; Japanese toilet seat and large and comfortable bed were great.
Everything was perfect but only can hear the footsteps from the room above me all the time.
Nice clean room with good customer service. I enjoyed my stay
Most pleasant stay. ”
Bummed that breakfast was a $14.99 separate fee...But was worth it.
Good location with really courteous Japanese staff ! Floors or walls soundproofing are abit thin though as one might hear other guests if they are not mindful
Location, staff services and price was met our expectations.”
The buffet breakfast was worth the money, simple but very good.
