        Hidden charms of Swansea”

        Yummy breakfast and fantastic host

Gail is a fantastic hostess with warm friendly smiles and had done a wonderful job to Redcliffe. The place is very nicely decorated. The house is surrounded by fragrant herbs and flowers. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are very clean and fresh. Breakfast is yummy with fresh ingredients. WIFI is available but reception is average. The place is only 5 mins drive from Swansea town centre but do make sure you head there by 8pm during summer or 6pm during winter if you want to grab a bite. Everything closes early in this little town. Will visit Gail again when I head to Swansea next time.

        A great house, delicious breakfast

We stayed here because we were travelling from Cradle Mountain to Freycinet then towards Hobart, and Swansea is located in the mid way, with a reasonable price cheaper than those hotels located in Freycinet. We arrived late at night and luckily still be able to locate the house with our GPS, dinner at a great pizza place just 1 min drive from the house. Swansea was pitch dark at night, the room was good and warm, after a long sleep, in the morning, then we came to notice how beautiful the house was! The house keeper Gail and her husband had kept many ducks, chickens, sheeps, flowers, dog etc... and we didnt want to leave in the morning, took many pictures! And the breakfast was delicious. Nice surprise!

        Friendly, relaxing retreat

Very friendly proprietors went out of their way to make us feel at home in their period colonial accomodation. Beautiful location with well kept gardens, handy for exploring Freycinet, Swansea and the Freycinet wineries. We only stayed one night but could have stayed longer. Breakfast cooked to order. Highly recommend.

Lovely room, nice owner and fabulous garden and decor

We stayed there for one night and wish we have planned for 2 nights instead. Everything is perfect - the owner was very friendly and she upgraded us to a larger room after knowing that we did have a lot of lugguages. The room was so beautiful and there are lots of flowers in the garden. It was a very plesant stay and we did enjoy a lot. Really recommend anyone who visit Swansea to stay in this hotel.

Delightful hosts in a beautiful home”

Nigel and Gail are delightful hosts and they've thought of everything. Their home is beautiful and and each room is carefully appointed and private. Our room, the Wisteria room, was light, airy and spacious, with a double and single bed, two comfy tub chairs, a coffee table, cabinet with small fridge and TV, and a nice ensuite. For me and my teenage daughter, it was perfect. The gardens around the house are lovely for private contemplation. They also have an extensive video library, puzzles and a lovely, friendly border collie. The breakfast was hearty and delicious and set us up well for our activities on the stunning Freycinet Peninsula. Highly recommend this lovely House and wish to thank Nigel and Gail for your warm, thoughtful and friendly hospitality. We would visit again.

Loved the old colonial style bed and breakfast stay. There were two cute dogs Teddy the Golden Retriever from next door and Meg the gorgeous Border Collie that greeted us the moment we stepped out of the car. Nigel and Gail were wonderful hosts and they make the best full English/Aussie breakfast with homemade toast. They have a lovely home and it's a very comfortable stay overall.

Location, very friendly owners, great breakfast.

We stayed in the Garden room for 2 nights which had a comfortable four poster bed, spotlessly clean and had tea, coffee and even port to drink in the room. Bathroom was small but serviceable. perfect hosts, made us feel right at home and part of the family. Wonderful gardens to sit in and soak up the sun. Molly the dog and Bobby the sheep kept us company. Breakfast was wonderful with a lovely cooked breakfast ( scrambled eggs were really yummy ). Would recommend to everyone for a perfect stay.
