    Violated our SAFETY, SECURITY and PRIVACY”

    PLEASE HEED MY WARNING!!! IF YOU'RE CONCERNED OF YOUR SECURITY SAFETY and PRIVACY - PLEASE NEVER BOOK A ROOM NOR ANY SPECIAL GATHERING/EVENT in The Ritz Garden Oases. Earlier today (Jan. 26, 2020) between 3:00AM to 4:45AM Philippine Time, the Manager, named Paul, together with one of their Housekeeping Personnel (Brix), opened my room (Room 405, 4th Floor) WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and let somebody in then took one of the 2 bags left inside the room. THEY claimed that the person knows me, confirmed my full name and the room number so they've assisted the person and let him/her in. Please note that I was out during the said time. The room was locked using the hotel's unique Powercard/Keycard. I have the card with me while I was away. No one called me nor informed me, not even asked my permission, that they'll let someone in. I've asked the hotel's Manager (Paul) WHY? He said "we have this process based on our Policy. If the person wanted to get inside the room, so long as he/she can confirm the Full Name and the Room Number for which the Guest booked, they'll let that person go inside the room." IS THIS FOR REAL??? Please also take note that I have recorded our conversation. I've made a follow up question, can I have a copy of your Policy in Black and White? Paul's answer is "We don't have that. It is our SOP and the usual SOP for most Hotel/Inns." WHAT???? HOW IS THIS A POLICY THEN BECAME JUST AN SOP??? Please see the attached pictures for reference. Where is the Hotel's Policy/SOP for our SAFETY, SECURITY and PRIVACY??? I'll update this post from time to time.

    the house keeping staff stepped in without being lwt in. there was no reason for them to do so. at times i felt that since they freely go in and out the room, there was no security. it bothers me to know we left the room for a number of hours with all pur valuables there.

    great swimming pool area, rooms have fridge,safety boxes,not well furnished but ok for this price. all staff very friendly.aircons are working well,occasionally a problem with hot water supply can occur.

    Cold and unfriendly staff”

    We arrived with lots of luggages but none of the staff standing at the lobby lifted a finger to help. They just stared at us as we struggled to retrieve our luggage’s from the car. They have a luggage cart but none of the boys moved to get them to us. My wife had mobility problems but only the lady guard at the door seems to care. The hotel itself is nice but THE STAFF GIVE THE HOTEL A BAD IMAGE AND UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE TO ITS GUESTS. We have planned earlier to extend our two nights booking but decided to move to another hotel where we fell More comfortable and welcomed. The management should change their staff or put them into a retraining program if they wish to stay above their competitors. With all the hotels sprouting in Davao, this hotel would easily decline behind its competitors. YOU ARE IN A HOSPITABILITY BUSINESS SO YOU MUST LEARN TO BE HOSPITABLE!!!!

    Pros: Great facilities Wifi on rooms seems decent Clean One ride to Gaisano mall Relaxing place Almost no cable tv channel Cons: Some staffs needs more training. Specially on the pool area. No hot shower. Rooms seems old, specially the CR.

    Misleading rooms”

    We booked a suite room with balcony but when we get to the hotel they gave us a small room without a balcony. As per the hotel, that was the room redoorz send them. Good thing the hotel was sympathetic enough that change our accommodation much better than what we were suppose to have. I will be wary of booking again with redoorz.
