The host kept on calling for the advance ...the host daughter was so rude might be smoking or something they even took way blankets for extra money she keep on saying icant take cheap people like u we have foreigners she should first learn respect her country people and we are doctors she sent us way in the middle of night at 2 oclock

One of the best homestay in Fort Kochi”
Stayed for a couple of days during February 2023. Felt like in home. Melisha and her mother Mariam take utmost care of guests. 5/5 for the loocation and cleanliness. A handfull collection of literature about India / Kerala / Kochi is available for reference. All the tourist places like sea front, art galleries, churches, Mattancherry palace, synagogue, ancient hoses of Portuguese/Dutch/English/ Jew town Strees and Veg / non veg restaurants are at walking distance. Delicious breakfast is available, but no lunch or dinner facility. Stay was quite comfortable. Will recommend visitors to Fort Kochi to avail Reds Residency homestay. Melisha has designed a Fort Kochi map, and she personally explains complete information about Fort Kochi Area to all the guests, through that map.

Hidden charges”
The charges mentioned in the agoda app is different from what we had to pay. Hidden charges and breakfast is pricey. No water facility and u require to knock the owners everytime for water. The lady owner was rude to us and forecfully justified the extra charges. The location is not good as its on the main road and u can hear vehicle noise while sleeping. Overall not recommended at all

We never expected such bad standards from this homestay . Even the room lock was not proper or in a broken condition. Staff was not professional. If you are coming with family, i would recommend this homestay.

The outstanding thing about this homestay is the friendly and attentive owners/hosts. I was here alone for a week before my husband met me. Maryann and Phillip were always looking out for their guest, making sure they ate enough for breakfast (which, by the way is very good) and suggesting things to do and places to go. we would highly recommend staying with this lovely family.
