Good value for money, great location, helpful staf”
I was in Dubai for only 18 hours, I was looking for reasonable priced hotel for my short stay. Found Regent Beach resort on Agoda with some good reviews so decided to try as well. The only problem was the fact that the taxi driver had no idea where to go, so instead of 20minutes, the trip from the airport took over 45 minutes with extremely high bill as well.. To save money and time It's god to let the taxi driver know to go towards Jumeirah open beach, near Ali baba restaurant in the near area between the Mosque on Jumeirah road and the petrol station. The hotel was clean and very cozy, the staff was very helpful and assisted with any issue I had. Great location, right at the beach, but also quite near to the city - burj Khalifa and Dubai mall, but also to Deira, which only costed 18aed on the taxi. The only down side is that the hotel is not near the metro station, but getting a taxi is not a problem at all. Will Definitely consider staying there if I'm in Dubai next time, especially for single traveller.
Small,pleasant and charming”
Arrival at the Regents beach hotel was a friendly affair , we were whisked to a waiting comfy sofa and furnished with cooling fruit drinks.A mix up with the room regarding an extra bed in the room was sorted out promptly with much apology and efficiency. The reception area was pleasant as was the staff manning it.The room had a free mini safe and was spacious with a table, two chairs, tea making facilities and mini bar of soft drinks and some gifts to buy.The room was fully carpeted too, clean and well maintained with a spaciuos bathroom with shower and bath. Both themed restuarants, indian and middle eastern were good value with entertainment on offer. The pool area whilst small was pleasant , well maintained but could have benefitted with sun shades.Next to the pool area was a small but well appointed gym, both modern and clean. The hotel was generally well maintained and had a nice feeling of intimacy and came across as very family rientated. This 3 star hotel is very pleasant and good value for money enjoying a location next to the beach that would be the envy of many a five star establishment. An evening walk along the beachwas very nice and the eateries of the main city were only 5 minutes by taxi. This hotel gets our vote , we will return for another stay for sure.
Cheap and cheerful. V friendly right on the beach!”
Cheep and cheerful hotel which is very clean and tidy. Good air con in rooms keeping them cool. Excellent location for a beach holiday and traveling around Dubai. No frills hotel!! PLEASE NOTE. When arriving at the airport ask the taxi driver to got to Ali Baba resturant Jemaeria 1 as no one knows whr this hotel is. Beaches. Very clean excellent facilities. Parasol 10AED Sun bed 15AED. Shop on the beach very cheap. Get water here for 1AED, this is the cheapest place to get water and drinks. Water in resturant and hostels cost upto 10AED. Eating out can be expensive you can spend upto 200AED per person. BUT there are good cheep places nearby. TGI Fridays, Fuddruckers. Here you can eat for 100 to 150 AED for a couple inc drinks. Other places Subway McD Burger King prices similar to UK. Travel. Get a tourist ticket 24hrs for 16AED or normal month week ticket 20AED Will allow you to travel anywhere. The palms about 30min bus drive away. Lifeguard on beach all day and night. Sea hotter than a leisure centre pool in the Uk. Weather fantastic every day. Great holiday. Down side. Friday and Saturday is the weekend. And all the Bangladeshi men come out and tend to stare at you. Can be off putting but just learn to stare back. Muslim women will also stare at you. Me and my wife blond with blue eyes they find it odd I guess. No one will hasel you though. Religion. Respect there culture. But in Dubai it is very relaxed. Bikini on beaches ok and just cover shoulders at night. All very relaxed.
All in all good hotel”
Reasonably good correlation of price and quality. This is literally the only budget option in Dubai if you want to stay right in front of the beach but don’t want to splash out on 5 star hotels or JBR. (From other budget hotels you have to go by shuttle bus or taxi.) Stayed there twice. Nothing luxurious, good 3 starts: clean, edible food, staff is nice, AC works fine, nice mattresses and bed sheets. Most rooms don’t have any views, but don’t envy those two rooms with sea view, they also see the restaurant roof and hear restaurant entertainment at night (not every night though). The pool that most people complain here about is really not impressive, but honestly, why do you need the pool so much? You mostly stay in that hotel because you want to go to the beach. There are plenty other options with nice pools if you need it so much. Location is also good, lots of places to eat and supermarket close by, Dubai Mall is not far. Some disadvantages: 1) Not many taxi drivers know the place so you need to make sure you can explain the location. But that’s pretty much the case with most Dubai hotels and taxi drivers. 2) Stay away from public beach on Friday!!! It’s a day off in Dubai and it gets really crowded and a bit scary there. Seriously, book some activity like aqua park or whole day excursion for Friday. But again that’s also mostly Dubai issue, not hotel’s fault. 3) Finally one problem actually with the hotel itself. There is some smell in all rooms. Don’t know what this is, either old carpets and walls or some chemicals for cleaning or for insects – no idea. But it’s really there all the time. I’ve been to several different rooms. In the end for me it was sort of ok, I don’t even say the smell is that strong. But it is there. My mother is very sensitive to smells, she felt bad most of the time. So if you are allergic or asthmatic or very sensitive, think twice. Other than that nice hotel, pretty much recommend staying there.
One of the best hotel stays”
I was a little concerned by other reviews about noisy nights due to night club. But we didn't had any such problems but had a very pleasant stay. We single family of 5 booked 2 rooms, was luckily allotted with very conveniently-located rooms which were just opposite to each other. This was a real understanding move by the staff upon our request to provide adjacent rooms which was highly appreciated. Now about the service. Breakfast: 4 out of 5 stars (Nice variety, tasty and fresh, live cooking and serving of omelette which can be customised. only one blackmark - have seen few flies around the food which was the only black mark) Swimming Pool: Again 5 out of 5 stars. No danger at all for letting the kids swim on their own since there is only one standard depth. Sufficient size and always lively and hygienic with fresh water from the pump. Rooms: 5 out of 5 stars. Rooms were surprisingly big, clean and comfy for such a 2 star hotel. Staff: 5 out of 5 stars - Always cooperative and welcoming. Altogether we really enjoyed our stay of 2 nights. Only bad remark is beach front was closed due to ongoing construction work hence we had to take long alternate route to go to the beach. Looking forward for the next stay probably after the opening of front-side beach area.
Lovely room and services”
excellent hotel services, Good value for the money. nice beach and easy communication to Dubai City Center. The disadvantage is the costly Wi-Fi. I would recommend it for any visitor to Dubai
Great Price & Service Un believable”
I had a early morning check out at 4:30 AM.. and they served me my Free Breakfast.. Have never seen a Hotel do this.. Free shuttle to the beach and close to Dubai Mall
Night receptionist messed up my stay!!!!”
Its a clean place the room, bathroom, lobby and swimming pool were all clean and tidy. Worth the money we paid. Location would be SUPER great if Jumaira open beach was open! BUT unfourtenatly it was close for some constractions! The nearest open beach is called " Kite Beach " its about 15mins walking or a shuttle can be taken from the resort as scheduled! swimming pool is pretty good but itsnt a 5star one! All the staff at the hotel were SOOO friendly and nice spacially the receptionist in the day shift ( Phillipino i think ) was very welcoming, respectful and smiling all the time at the guests. HOWEVER, there is another receptionist ( indian i think ) in the night shift was VERY unprofessional! He was sitting all the time feeling not to do anything! Not ready to help! Never smile! Looking bored and sick all the time! Truth has to be said.. thid guy MUST quit this job and train very hard till he actually be able to help & deal with gustes in a friendly, nice and polite way!
I did enjoy my stay at the regent beach hotel due to its location ,near the beach. which was across the road. there are two small shopping malls near by and a mcdonalds. within walking distance thier are good quality restaurantsand coffee shops.Jumeirah 1 is the location, here you will see more locals arabs. The Burj al Arab7 star hotel you can see from the beach and also Burj al Khalifa the worlds tallest building is clearly visible. enjoy dubai on a budget with this hotel.
Nice stay at the Regent Beach Resort ”
Very good 2* hotel, room big enough, clean, quiet, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. No metro or bus around but taxi available from reception after 15-20 mn wait and 10 mn away from downtown Dubai (price between 17-24 AED according to the traffic). Overall a very nice experience in this hotel!
It is not a beach resort ”
Very small hotel.. very small lobby. which originally was a two-story villa house . My room was very dark. When I pulled the curtains to have some lights there were other villas. The hotel is not directly on the beach, u need to walk trough resturant, go out , then cross two streets to reach the beach.. When I got to the beach i had to pay 180 AED for the beach bed and umbrella !!! ( u need to rent). The gym was very small comfortable to 04 people and the air was not fresh for exercise. Small pool as well. Small lobby .. The receptionist were nice and helpful. They should remove the beach resort title from it as it is not a beach resort. Agoda and booking.com should do surprise inspection not by their Dubai staffs but by their overseas staf When we think resor it comes to our mind that we can enjoy walking around in the hotel , Have a nice pool and some trees or a garden around to have a nice cocktail to refresh but this place does not have any of this Discription..!!
Straight to business hotel, good beach front place”
Hard to find with a taxi driver, be prepared before you hop into a taxi. The hotel is right on the beach front, so get off the main road at the cross street, which is numbered. The hotel staff is good and friendly. Small items such as an espresso or small bottle of water are charged a fortune, and I mean more than what a five * would. This is a clean, straight to business 3 * place. Internet access should be free but it is not. Breakfast is not the best in town, but acceptable. Very good massage place, top of the bill, one special expert. For what you get, it is still a quarter overcharged in terms of value for money. But if you are looking for a good bed in a tranquil environment, with easy access to the beach and a few shopping malls just around the corner, go for it. Local brasserie on the premises, and if you look for international cuisine, walk 200 m down the road to the neighboring hotel with at least ten restaurants including drinks you will not typically get here.
Friendly staff and good food in the hotel.”
The first time me and my wife stayed at the Regent Beach Resort was okay. Unfortunately, our recent stay was a nightmare. Our room (Room was near the restaurants with band playing that we were not able to sleep properly for 3 nights. Our room was not cleaned on time due to lack of hotel staff.
Good nice hotel”
Hi I would give this hotel 9/10 , if it were for the aircon temperature control, which did nothing. Aircon was blowing too cool and made noise, would prefer to have set it on lower setting.. Hotel is 2 minutes from beach which is excellent. I did not try gym, pool or food , so cannot comment on that really. Will probably stay there again until I find something similar where the aircon control works also. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Taxi drivers do not know where the hotel is , so be sure to print out a map or find a landmark nearby..other than the beach.
Great Location but not all rooms have a sea view”
The hotel is very nice and staff very helpful and friendly, however we booked 3 rooms with sea views as advertised on the internet. We received very nice clean rooms at the back of the resort looking into a wall. We live in South Africa in a city where there is no sea and when on holiday we really like to have a view of the ocean.
Great location but medium size rooms good for 2 ”
We stayed 1 day and 2 nights in transit at dubai and were looking for a cheap hotel with great locations. This was the perfect answer. The hotels is excellent in all aspects except the AC has no control unit in the room and you will have to contact the front desk for control. the beach is across the road and you can walk to shopping and eateries. There is s TGI fridays located 3 mins from the hotel location.
Good value for money ”
I mean, for the price this is a pretty darn good hotel. Its definitely 'no frills' but its clean and comfortable. Its located directly across from the beach. The breakfast buffet was pretty gross. I went to eat at 9:30am and the food was cold and stale and hard to get down. That being said, it could have been delicious if I had gone when it opened. I would come back and stay here again.
Rebook the nice hotel”
Due to the nice hotel, I have rebooked my stay in this hotel. If you like the beach, you can swim until 4am. You can see many people picnicking on the beach till dawn. There is a massage center just in front of the street. Very convienant after a long walk or sightseeing.
Regent Beach Resort”
perfect hotel to stay for a few nights. staff was very friendly and helpful. for a shoppingtrip to dubai is this hotel agood location and very quit.
Regent Beach Resort”
It was the best experience. the place was not fancy, but the location is pretty good. It will take you 10 min max to downtown . open and new beach was a 1 min walk. the rooms were clean, staff were nice and friendly. I will definitely come back again.
