Superb location., easy access to almost everywhere”
I could say that Hotel Regent, Munich is just perfect as it is .,,, no matter the hotel is quite old and some furnitures are still lack of furbish but it is not cuch a point since it's really clean also ;) Breakfast is excellent .,, Wifi is kind of slow at sometimes ., Location is really strategic .,, you might not need to take S-Bahn or U-bahn to any sightseeing place since it's probably walk just about 10-20 minutes such as Marienplatz, Hauptbahnhof (very close), Kaufingerstrasse (Munich Shopping Street), Munich Old town, even Theresienstrasse, where an Oktoberfest is located also. Staffs are very friendly, professional and service minded. Elevetor of this hotel is really small.,, sometimes you need to wait for at least 5 times to get in!! Anyway, I would recommend this hotel since the price are affordable with great location like this :)
good value for money in convenient location”
We had stayed at the Regent Hotel 2 or 3 times in the past and repeated because of its attractive prices and convenient access to and from the airport. We had notified the property in advance that we would arrive early in order to request considerarion for early check-in after a long journey. Unfortunately no rooms were available, and the staff at reception kept our bags for safekeeping while we went out to tour the city. When we returned to go to our room, we were very pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a suite. We stayed in very nice chambers with a TV room and small refrigerator. All the furniture was in top shape and seemed brand new! The bed was very comfortable. We we impressed by the bathroom with double shower and double sink! Most staff members speak at least German, English, and Spanish. They were friendly and competent, and we truly appreciated the gesture of the upgrade! We will definitely consider the Regent Hotel again when we return to Munich.
Affordable Hotel Next to Munich Hauptbahnhof”
Regent Hotel was a nice hotel next to Munich Hauptbahnhof. Rooms come with 2 single beds (pushed together or separable) or 1 double bed. There is no safe in the room, but it does come with free wifi and breakfast. This is a perfect location for exploring Munich since it is right next to the historic city center or for day trips out of Munich because it is next to the central train station.
Perfect Hotel for Leisure Travelers”
Regent Hotel Munich next to the central train station Hauptbahnhof is the perfect location for a leisure traveler seeking to explore Bavaria or the suburbs of Munich. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main station, which has S-Bahn services to suburbs of Munich, which is a very sprawled city. Also, with a Bayern Ticket, groups of up to 5 people can travel for 1 day anywhere in Bavaria, such as the beautiful Neuschwanstein Castle. Stay here for your next vacation to Munich!
Great clean room, easy walk from Hauptbahnhof”
My stay was great at the Regent Hotel, the buffet breakfast was nice with lots of hot options. The location was amazing because I needed to travel in and out of Munich on business and this was a very quick walk to the central U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and Rail station. Very friendly staff, when I need information they were quick to reply and had loads of suggestions for where to go and quick places to grab a bite.
convenience and comfort in one place”
The place is located beside the munich hbf and is literally just a walking distance to the stations of both metro and regional trains. So getting around munich is very easy and convenient. The room is big which is good for family with a toddler who likes running and playing around. The only downside is that the room has no AC which can get pretty hot during summer. We stayed in the hotel in early june so the temp is around 25-30C. When we requested for an electric fan, they immediately delivered it to our room which was a pretty good thing. The staffs are helpful and accomodating.
FANTASTIC location, staff and breakfast ”
The staff at this hotel were awesome. Spoke fluent English and were extremely helpful. Check-in took less than 3 minutes, as did check-out. The breakfast couldn't have been better, it had everything you could possibly want and more! The town was less than 10 mins walk away from the hotel, as was a good supermarket and some basic restaurants. Would definitely recommend the Regent Hotel! Great value for money.
very good value for money in a convenient location”
We have stayed at the Regent Hotel various times in the past because this property offers good value for money and is conveniently close to the central train station, so we were happy to return. Our standard room covered all our basic needs (closet, mini-bar, TV with international programming). Over time, we have realized that the size and quality of the room may depend on the fare paid. On this occasion, we opted for the most basic offer and were still pleased - breakfast was not included, and it would have cost us a very reasonable 10 EUR per person if we had taken it. As always, all staff members were very charming and fluent in English. The surprise that we enjoyed most and truly appreciated was that our room was available for us already when we checked in at about 9:30 AM (as requested when we made the booking). After arriving from an intercontinental flight, the chance to rest a little is always a significant advantage! We look forward to coming back again as soon as we can!
Central Location and Large Room”
The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from platform 28-30 of Munich HBF. You could take S1 from Munich HBF to the airport, which is a 40 minutes ride. Being next to Munich HBF allows guests easy access to anywhere in Munich, Germany or even train services to other European countries. Room size is huge with good buffet breakfast. WIFI connection is also strong in the room.
We stayed for one week. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. The location, across the road from the Munich Central Railway Station, was handy and an easy walk to the old city or the numbers 16 and 19 trams would get you there quicker. I would stay at the Regent again and recommend it to others.
Good Location hotel close to Munechen station”
Though we had a short stay at the hotel, its easy to know that its a good hotel option for anyone wanting to be in a central easy acess location. Everything in munich is walking distance and is you are arriving by train you need to just walk for not more than 7 - 8 mins and you will be there. Very pleasant and helpful staff, free wifi, and good clean rooms and bathrooms most importantly. Not really a budget hotel but absolutely worth the price that u would spend
Great location, Big Room, No Cold Water in Bathroom”
Regent Hotel was my choice when I was in Munich this mid July. It has great location, very close to Munich central station, 5 minutes by walk. I was surprised with the triple room. Very huge room, it has bedroom, living room, and bathroom. But no coach in it's living room compare to other room (I booked 2 triple room for my parents and my brother). Also we were surprised because no cold water in bathroom. I did told to the receptionist before breakfast. We did not expect anything at that time because we should went to Airport quickly. I hope it is fixed in the future. In the other room everything is okay, no complaint from my mom. I will recommend this hotel and will stay again in the future.
Regent Hotel's amenities were basic. Hotel forgot to provide us with drinking water and we had to pay for it. Hotel location is near Munich Hopbahnhof train station (less than 10mins' walk) and metro station (5mins' walk), which is perfect for travellers. However, families with kids might want to take note that the surrounding of the hotel. Breakfast buffet selection was wide and good.
Great location with clean but aging room ”
Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Room and bathroom are a bit old but well-kept and clean. Wifi is free and good at the lobby area (not in the room though). Receptions (especially females) are ok and speak good English. The hotel is only 2 stops by tram to Karlplatz and 2 stops by subway (U1) to Marienplatz. Walking from the hotel to the station is about 3-4 minutes. Airport bus is also there on the same side (10.5 Euro one way). Net, if you are looking for no-frills and convenient hotel nearby the Central Train Station in Munich, this can be one of your choices. Cheers!
Convenient and Quiet”
I had good experience with the staff at the reception and dining place. Although the hotel did not have any electrical flask to boil water, they provided a flask for me to get hot water from the kitchen. The hotel was very near to the pick-up point for the 1-day tour by City Discovery company. It is also 5 minutes away from the famous Augustine beer garden. The room was clean and my wife noticed that they changed the bed sheet at least once during our 5-day stay. The staff at the reception counter were friendly and helpful. Overall, I was very happy with our stay in Regent hotel.
Hotel was very nice Location near thr main central station and near city center. Staff were very friendly and adviced for tourism tours. Check in and check out was fast. Rooms were clean and well equiped with main things. View from window was opposite the station. Recommended for staying in munich
First of a kind experience.”
My wife and I had a nice stay at the hotel. We enjoyed the room temperature of the environment. The hotel is clean as a whole and the restaurant serving the breakfast is wonderful, from the furnitures to the mouth-watering sausages, then the yogurt and coffee. We were given free WIFI access, unlike the other hotels that charges the guests for access to the WIFI. The bathroom is equipped with infrared light to keep you warm and comfortable when the temperature is going down. The hotel entrance and lobby is comparable to the big hotels but more exquisite, for me. Thank you Regent Hotel.
Good hotel nearby the old city centre ”
We had a pleasant stay in the Regent Hotel though it rained a lot during our days in Munchen. Because of the summer heat, there was a fan in our room which we needed through the night. We could easily walk to the old center of Munchen but recommend to visit the area of Schwabing and Maxvorstadt. You can walk or take the train or a tram, the 'Hauptbahnhof' is a 5 min walk.
Nice hotel, good service, clean rooms”
I stayed only one night, the room was perfectly clean, spacious and well furnished. The service desk is nice and professional. The hotel is at a walking distance from Munich central station, and near several shops and restaurant while being quiet.
An excellent place near HBF”
We stayed at Regent Hotel for 3 nights, the breakfast is excellent and the staff is so helpful. They introduced 2 excellent restaurant nearby that we really enjoy a lot.
