Excellent hotel in a lovely setting right on the Nile - beautiful views - we could see the pyramids in the distance from our bed! Many of the restaurants, bars and the pool are right on the river's edge. Breakfast was the best we had in all our travels in Egypt. The suite was very spacious and comfortable with top quality amenities and two balconies overlooking the river. The club lounge was a great facility with drinks and snacks throughout the day and lovely views. The staff were always extremely courteous, friendly and helpful and even arranged a very early check on our first morning due to our very early arrival.

Reception staff told me to book through website because it cheaper then .. they told me that still they didn’t get the information from reservation desk .. after more than one hour of complaining i found out that there reservations desk close @ 6 pm .. i was arrived 7:45 pm .. even though i was giving them the recipe i got it from Agoda through my email .. very rude staff every single time i told him what happened with the reservation he goes inside without word

I spent a weekend in Cairo and wanted a bit of comfort. The Conrad has all the luxury of a five star hotel if location is not a priority. It is about 10 blocks from the Egypt Museum and the centre of town. The hotel is right next to the Nile and the "Nile view" from your room is spectacular. But you would have to take a taxi to any of the major tourist sites in Cairo. The neighbourhood where the hotel is a bit run down, so it would be difficult for a tourist to wander about. The hotel itself is super luxurious and the food was out of this world. They have an excellent Lebanese restaurant as well as a Chinese restaurant within the hotel. The buffet breakfast was super and the staff were always helpful. The Sauna and Massage area was very clean and well organised. In conclusion, everything was wonderful except for the location. If that is important, than the Ritz Carlton may be your only choice but that will be double the price. Conrad Hotel is highly recommended.

This hotel is located right in the center of Cairo. Forget the news reports: It was very safe to be right next to Tahrir Square as of December 2013, and frankly, as someone who has been to Cairo many times, this was the most quiet I've ever seen the city. Now is the time to visit. There was literally no sign of political unrest while I was there. About the hotel: It is a great 4-star hotel with particularly good restaurants and a very well-equipped (but slightly dated) gym. The hotel also has a very clean hot tub, dry and wet saunas and massage. Everything was immaculate, and the service was attentive. I was upgrades to a club level room. I've stayed at this hotel 10 years ago, and it is better today than it was then. Both the renovations to the lobby area and the staff have made this hotel a fantastic experience. Highly recommended, particularly for the current price......

It is remote and feels far from everything and hotel feels gloomy and dark. Tge furniture is old and worn out. I ended up booking at the Hilton for 1 of the 3 nights I booked even though I had a place to stay for 1 of the nights at al masa hotel. It's also lacks vibrancy. The ambiance in the Hilton was z lot more vibrant and lively. Will not think of staying here again.

I had sooooooo much trouble looking for the hotel. The local taxi drivers (not just one of them but a few of them) have no idea where the hotel is... One of them kept telling me that there is only two hiltons in Cairo, and we had to go to all two of them before we've finally arrived at the right one, the Cairo World Trade Centre Residence. When we arrived at the other hilton (the wrong one), the hotel staff gave direction to the taxi driver already, but unfortunately he still sent us to another wrong hilton... when we have finally arrived at the residence, the hotel staff helped us negotiated with the driver over the taxi fare(we suspected that he intentionally took us to the wrong hotel). Anyhow, after getting back the "extra" money which were supposed to go to the taxi driver, we gave them to the hotel staff instead as they were of great assistance and very professionally mannered.

overall a solid hilton hotel. everything is up to standard and what you expect for a 4 star hilton hotel. breakfast good except the lack of real bacon(same thing all over egypt, pork a bit of a no no). as a swede i especially enjoyed the smoked salmon which was really good. staff really nice and good as you would expect, the only nice people i met in whole of egypt. the hotel is good in all areas, except maybe a quite noisy aircondition in the room. get room with nile view, really nice. alot of guards all over zamalek island, feels very safe.

I booked nile deluxe room and when came to the hotel I was told that my room is not nile room, it is madina room and that what Agoda had booked for me. I showed the reception my online booking confirmation but didn’t work the hotel advised me to contact with Agoda. After contacting Agoda customers service which is for justice very cooperative and helpful but slow and still haven’t solved the problem. In that time I had to stay somewhere else and didn’t stay in Kempinski cuz the whole travel had been supposed to stay with nile view. Kempinski said that was not our mistake and we’re fully booked and Agoda So far Still trying for the error to be solved with Kempinski for a refund and Iam waiting for this. Only wished that Kempinski were cooperating and understanding and helped me that time in reception.

I was in wrong impression that cairo dosent have good hotels to stay... i was wrong... the place was the best... The apartment was fully equipped with the latest technology ...Very friendly staff...One of the best part was the connectivity to mall and other hotels...Very lively place to stay.. In the evening time they had Refreshment food which was dam good... Really a good place to stay...

Hotel has the best location, I strongly advise to chose a room with view to the pyramids. Breakfast was very good, as well as dinner. Overall ambience is nice and relaxing. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Our daughter got sick and they allowed us to stay until 15:00 (check out is 12:00) so she could sleep it out, without any extra charge. Kids pool was a bit too warm, it was quite much warmer than air, which was already +38.

among the few hotels in 6th of october, novotel is relatively inexpensive yet it location is superior in comparison. 15 min walk to mall of arabia & 10 min away from local shops if you want a true egyptian buying experience. as will most hotels there, internet cost a lot. about daily. you can bring you laptop to the lobby if you want free wifi though. the free breakfast is good. again, i am comparing with other hotels in egypt. there is a wide selection of bread and fruits. lesser on meat products. i would always get the chef to fry me an egg. the rooms are slidely small. this makes it manageble for business travellers like me. remember to lock your balcony door before leaving the room as the balcony are common to a few.

I am glad that i chose this hotel as i was hesitated to chose between the next door hotel.i arrived at 9 am in the hotel and the front desk gave me my room even i before 2pm.it could be because on monday, if on weekend i might not have a chance.the room was fine, i did not expect the room to be lavish even it stated 4 stars. It was expensive due to the location as Zamalek is for rich egyptian.i booked the city view as the nile view faced non interesting part of nile, because this hotel was located at the west bank. The fancy view during night was on the hotels located on east bank and facing the downtown Cairo.Zamalek is an island, where the embassies and colleges located.i got the top room and i did really need the quiet area, less hearing the car honk.the room service was good, even during my 9nights stay they did not change the bedsheet but they never failed to provide the toiletteries and fresh towel.The breakfast was mixed western and local breakfast.there was snack bar which served local dishes at reasonable price, pharmacy, money changer and metro supermarket just next to the hotel. It was convenient. My return flight was late at night but the hotel gave me room to be used to ease myself before i left for airport.even for couple of minutes but it worth. It provided the cab service at fixed price but the taxi driver still asked for tip. I had a pleasant stay in this hotel. I was concerned about the safety, and location near British Council, and this hotel is not really suitable for people who want to experience the other life of egypt night life.

I stayed for a total of 6 nights. I took a cab from the airport. I was charged 250 EGP. I suggest getting online and booking an Uber ride (it costs less than 200 EGP). You can buy a local SIM card at the airport for 200 EGP. Well worth it as it is cheaper to take Uber than regular cabs in Cairo. Everything with the hotel was fine-- strategic location, good (changing) breakfast, competent and responsive staff, good security, good amenities and facilities. The only complaint I have is that I tried to book an airport transfer to the hotel upon arrival and sent the message through Agoda. I never got a response (nor the transfer).

I chose the Golden Park Hotel because of its proximity to Cairo International Airport. It's a budget priced hotel ten minutes away by taxi or Uber. The room was decent: not too small, and the air conditioning worked well. Satellite tv afforded a number of options. The breakfast buffet on the top floor with the outdoor veranda was quite nice. The neighborhood is safe if not exactly enthralling. Staff were kind and spoke English. In sum it's a good option for a budget minded traveler who is coming in late from CAI or has to catch an early flight.

The Le Meridian has a lot going for it. Beautiful location overlooking the pyramids, a great pool and spa facility, and easy access to the pyramids. They were also helpful to let me leave my bags there overnight when I went camping in the desert (which request they initially refused). The dinner buffet was average at best and unremarkable in any way. However, our stay was overshadowed by the very poor wifi connection which they provided in the lobby. The charge for wifi in the room was exorbinant, so we relied on the free signal in the lobby. But the signal was totally unreliable and frustrating. Even worse, when I complained to the manager, he took zero responsibility, and said that he couldn't do anything about it, because it was a 3rd party service. Sorry Le Meridien, you have to take responsibility for the services you claim to provide. I would have to think long and hard about staying here again, simply because of the wifi access.

I stayed here 5 nights and it was good value for money! * The hotel has a boutique style charm - it’s basic but very comfortable. * My room was spacious and clean - I would recommend a room with a balcony. * Location is great - 5 min walk to the museum, 10 min walk to the Nile. * Staff are very friendly and accommodating - they helped me organise all my tours over email before arriving and checked up regularly during my stay to ensure I was happy with everything. * Airport pick-up & drop-off was well organised * My tour guide (Abdul) & driver (Kereoles) were the BEST - they made my time in Cairo very enjoyable :) THANK YOU! * Prices for room, airport transfers & tours were reasonably priced. * Check-in and check-out was simple and easy If you’re only in Cairo for a few days, spending most of those days out and about, and all you need is a place to sleep and shower...I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. We stayed at this hotel on the first and last night due to our flights next day. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to & from the airport however should you wish to be fetched from the airport, the hotel should be contacted directly (this needs to be improved as there was no communication from the hotel in respect of early check-in, pick up etc despite me sending many emails). There is 2 parts of the hotel i.e. newly refurbished and the old part, both that I stayed in. The newly refurbished part is worthy of 5 star, exceptionally clean. The old part needs to be upgraded to give the entire hotel all 5 stars. There is a sparkling pool, restaurants and good buffet for breakfast and dinner. Free storage of my luggage. Although away from central, I chose to stay near the airport for convenience of my flights. I travelled into the city center, traffic is hectic.

The shower flooded instantly, but they fixed it. I'm still surprised the cleaning people weren't aware of it. Can schedule airport shuttle in advance or wait for it at the airport. There is a Kiosk at the airport. Lots of restaurant options- foods from different parts of the world. Egyptian restaurant outside with live music--order the grilled pigeon- not the stuffed. Free shoe shining though its really just wiping it clean. Perfect for one night, but too far from city, pyramids, and NOT walking distance to downtown heliopolis. Great airport hotel. Huge Hair salon inside too.

Fantastic hotel, attentive staff, amazing breakfast! we stayed here for 2 nights and the close proximity to the pyramids was extremely handy. The hotel has great facilities and the rooms are amazing with views of the pyramids! it was the best value for money hotel I stayed at throughout my travels of Europe and the middle east, so much luxury for such an amazing price! hotel security is also tight which made us feel very at ease! oh and there is a great pool bar!
