Attiki hotels & accommodations

I had stayed in the original hotel as a child when we traveled with my parents to Athens, and the hotel was called "Diomia" in the 60s! Returning after many years was a wonderful walk back to my youth. Hotel has been renovated and rooms are clean and very well maintained. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. The rooftop bar with views of the Acropolis ...

Very good location. Hotel staffs are very friendly and acommodating. I have travelling a lot and book in differ type hotel, from 5 stars to inn and first time to experience this type of hospitality. Very warm and helpful. Breakfast is good but have same foods for two days. Room is clean and nice only if they can do some with the curtain, you can’t open the curtain peo...

Initially booked Athenaeum Grand but was redirected to Athenaeum Palace, which was equally fantastic hotel located just about 150m adjacent. Location is very convenient with bus stop just outside the hotel, 24hrs convenient store and metro is just 3 stops away. The room was awesome!! New amenities and also comes with a handy which is VERY useful for tourist not having...

So far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Europe. Their service was exceptionally GOOD. I lost my passport on the first day I arrived Athens, the hotel receptionist helped me out to contact the embassy and assisted me to the nearest police station. Fortunately, three days later, someone from the Ministry of Culture in Athens has found my passport, however I couldn’t co...

After some complications with our room - we had booked a Spa Suite, which was no longer available. The staff did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They compensated us with a complimentary dinner in their own restaurant, which I must say was one of the best meals we had in Greece - and one of the best Views of the Acropolis. Staff in all...

Do you want to be in the HEART of Athens and be able to snoop 'til you droop or shop 'til you drop and not pay so much for your room you have to shop only the flea markets? Is your destination Athens or a hotel? If you want Athens and all it offers, book a room at the Arethusa Hotel. If you want frills to keep you in the hotel and off the streets, go to Las Vegas. Do ...

the hotel is newly renovated with bold colours. the receptionist are very friendly and speaks good english. the hotel is about 5 storeys high and has a small lift which is adequate for big luggage. the rooms are spacious with a nice bathroom. remember not to drop toilet tissues in the toilet bowl as this is a requirement in most greek hotels. you have to put them in th...

Fantastic location! The view from the rooftop phenomenal! Very close proximity to all the major spots in Athens (e.g., Plaka, Acropolis). You can see the Parthenon straight ahead from the rooftop! Beautiful! We even managed to see all the New Year’s fireworks over the Acropolis simply by walking out of the hotel, turning around the corner and standing on the sidewalk. ...

I planned to stay 2 nights at Ares Athens hotel, but ended up staying for 7 nights! I immediately felt home and safe in this hotel, because of the 24 hour reception. Nikos, who was there almost 24/7, is very friendly and helpful. Although, they don't advertise breakfast, there is a small area where you can have tea or coffee and a chocolate croissant every morning as a...

Kostas, the front office manager took very good care of us , He was gracious and helpful. The breakfast staff were efficient, professional and very nice, I took off 2 stars for the hamam which is a steam room and was not working well For our time there , but management made it up to us. The layout is a bit odd and the sauna a bit tight. The pool and rooftop deck are b...

I did expect that The Golden Age of Athens would be a pleasant hotel but the hotel, its staff and services have surpassed my expectations. The help desk was truly helpful (Thank you Eleni!!!) The rooms were spacious and very neat as well as modern and the breakfast was one of the best I've had on my travels. Thank you!!!

Booked into the hotel for the final two nights of our trip to Greece. The rooftop pool was a real drawcard as we were looking to relax prior to the pending long flights. We, and other couples (and their children) were unable to enjoy the pool area due obscene language and unacceptable drunken behaviour by a group of young males and females. The staff did nothing about ...

Great stay. Out of the main city yet in easy walking distance. Amazing Views of the Acropolis by day & night. Large swimming pool on top balcony. Fine dining is also available. Walk down too up market shops & cafes, easy access into Central Athens. This Hotel is rated 5-stars so your are paying for it. No Breakfast allowance & no free in room internet is a little dish...

We got on the train from the airport and got of at Syntagma station where the hotel is just about a minute walk away. Syntagma is the best place to stay and Astor hotel is one of the good price hotel. Since we arrived about 8am, the room was not yet available (we have the impression that this hotel is always fully booked so better book early). Check in staff was very f...

This hotel needs to seriously have an upgrade on its linen, pillows in the room were disgusting, yellow and stained had to get new ones, there was no way I was sleeping on them. The bath mat was in threads, and all mats were like that everyday ! The shower curtain needed replacing it was covered in pink mould and black spots of mould. The shower leaked so badly that...

If you are traveling to Athens to see the sights, two days is perfect. I highly recommend booking The Athens Gate hotel. Generously sized patios, unbelievable views of the Acropolis and Athens Gate, and the best rooftop breakfast in the city is what you will find! It is right next to the main hop on / hop off buses and many affordable restaurants and the Akropolis trai...

What a gem this place is. Perfect location for exploring Plaka, Monestraki flea market and the Acropolis. Just steps away from the main shopping street. Rooms are modern, really nicely appointed & beds are reallly comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served in your room. The hotel also has a lift so getting to your room is not an issue. One...

Location--central: near Syntagma Square, city center, and airport drop off. Fantastic view of Acropolis. Less than 5 minutes' walk to Plaka Cleanliness and comfort --spotless and new. Though the hotel decided on whether the airconditioning or heater was to be used, you could adjust it. Had bathroom amenities Wifi--good reception in our room (511) Breakfast -- many choi...

Excellent, fantastic service, luxurious rooms, great food at the roof top restaurant, a great location right in the centre of Athens, best views of the city skyline and the Acropolis. It is truely a great hotel, you could not ask for better. The Grande Bretagne hotel rating should be SIX STAR.

I wanted to take my time with this review and not just rush into it. I read a lot of reviews about the hotel and the area it is in. I arrived very late to the hotel, around 10pm, the gentleman on the receptionist was very nice and pleasant although there was a strong smell of smoke coming from the lobby which was off-putting. The room itself is basic but very clean ...

A great boutique hotel with a friendly relaxed vibe in the midst of a lively restaurant and bar precinct. Easy to walk to the main attractions of Athens - and the flea markets in the neighborhood are brilliant. Our room in the hotel was spacious and well set up. The mobile they provide for (free!) use is an amazing bonus.

+ close to metro and touristic area + very good breakfast + nice people that are working there - in the evening, you don`t feel safe on the streets near the hotel - the area is quite noisy, there is a bus parking place in front of the hotel Overall, I recommend the place for a weekend in Athens, good value for money.

It's been a wonderful stay in Holiday Inn Athens Attica Avenue Airport Hotel. Actually, I was deciding between a hotel just next to the airport and Holiday Inn when I was booking a place to stay for the night before my flight. And I choose Holiday Inn because it's much cheap (it's like 70 euro cheaper), though it is not so close to the airport. It costed by 20 euro to ...

Nothing was too much trouble. When we arrived at 0600 with drenched luggage, staff were very helpful. We were dry again and checked into our lovely room by lunchtime - 2 hours before the earliest check-in time. Location is great - within easy strolling distance of Plaka, without the high prices and crowds. We will book here every time we come to Athens.
Cheap places to stay in Attiki

The accommodation is really nice. But we had our problems checking in, because the owner didn't send us the check in code and so we had to stay at an other hotel for the first night. In the morning we got an email from the owner and so we could check in. So if you are not getting an email with the check in information, please send an email early enough to get them be...

The family that runs the Kythereia is incredibly sweet and genuinely cares about taking the very best care of you during your stay. I was there during the high season, and their rate was very reasonable in comparison to the other hotels in the area.

The hotel is well located near Askeli beach but a bit far from the town and the port, consider renting a scooter or a quad that can also be used to visit the entire island, especially the places high in the mountain. The manager is very nice and responsive for any request but just remember to keep the hotel's phone number in your contact list in case you arrive at nigh...

I stayed 2 nights and I think the price of 22 Euro per night for a single room by myself is worth it. I even have a mini refrigerator in the room. The location of the hotel is near Omonia Metro station. There is even a bus stop in front of the hotel. The place is clean. Some hotels don’t even have lifts and I have to carry my luggage up to the 3rd floor. This hotel has...

We choose Agia Marina region for its closeness to Afaias ancient temple region. We do not regret staying there cause it was a comfortable and accessible city. However I don't recommend taking a car. There is a ferry to Agia Marina so it's easy to go from Piraeus port, Athens. George's appartments were in a quiet, yet close to the main city road, region. Everything from...

well... i arrived at filoxenia hotel and they up grade me in a tree stars hotel, five minute walking from there, more close to omonia square. lucky!!! the new one was really clean, fantastic breakfast and all the people spoke english. hotel's staff polite and gentle ready to apply your request... what's else???

First thing to say : for 33 euros including a decent breakfast in Athens it's a good deal. Rooms are nothing luxury, but they are clean, the bed is correct, AC is working well, there is a small balcony. The reception is quite dark and the overall hotel would need some decoration refresh but if you don't plan to stay in the commodities the whole day.. Wifi is very low i...

we had a double room which was clean. we were offered a choice of room the ones at the front have balconys with a view of the ships for the islands, but are over the road. the rooms at the rear overlook another building and therefore quiet. we chose a room at the back for a good nights sleep. the hotel has a bar with a balcony. the bar has computers for internet acc...

Perfect location, close to beach and rock entrance where you can swim, also close to restaurants and bus stop to ferry port. Our sea view room had everything we needed; plates, cups, cutlery, fridge, stove, air dryer, towels. We used our balcony a lot, it was perfect for eating take-away and watching the yachts go past. Eva was so friendly and helpful which made the st...

Everything you would expect in a 5 ⭐️ Hotel, Beautiful lobby upon arriving, indoor/outdoor dining room with a wonder view of the town across the bay. The bedroom was modern and very clean, only the shower head was there a problem, with but functional enough. Swimming pool was nice, but cold in the afternoon due to the shade, 5 minute walk to a quaint beach with ba...

I arrived at midnight from train as I was catching 7am ferry. Reception guy was super friendly good English. And the cafes around the corner open for 1am dinner. Theres a few disco bars around but it was Wednesday night quiet enough. Balcony room ok aircon worked well

i don't know where to start!!! we had just finished a great greek island cruise and had 5 days up our sleeve to return to an island of our choice. a lovely greek couple we met on the boat suggested poros as we wanted somewhere closer to athens due to all the striking action going on. what can i say, this hotel was comfortable, clean and in a handy location but the rea...

You felt safe and secure in this clean, attractive hotel. Breakfast was the best and plentiful. I stayed a week and enjoyed every minute. Check in and out was fast and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The owner of this family run hotel was on the premises and ready to help with advice and interesting information about Greek history and culture as well as pra...

the hotel is situated within walking distance to the town which has numerous bars and cafes. it is also close to the port for those wanting to take ferries the room i had was clean with a small bathroom the water was always hot . the only thing in room to complain about was the shower head mounting on the wall was broken.. the breakfast was more than adequate . the ...

I suggest that you book from booking.com cus we booked from agoda and it didn't send us any information about the property (only address) so we just got there at the property and couldnt check in(we thought the owner lives next door..). No contact number and email to contact the owner from agoda. Ended up waiting for two hours .. we then booked from booking.com to ...

Some people need to get a grip when writing reviews. Did you read the one about the lift's being too small? Well, the sizing is very typical of European lifts. I'm sorry you couldn't fit your kids, husband, prams and the kitchen sink into it, but perhaps like when people move in and out, you could rent a conveyer belt for your convenience and go through the windows...

From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. I had got the public bus from Aegina Town, which was very easy and the hotel was a 1 minute walk from where the bus dropped me off. The hotel was an easy walk down to the beach. My room was simple but very comfortable and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony from my room which have a nice view of the ...

We selected this hotel as to it closeness to the port. While not perfect it was in a retail area for local shopping. It was a struggle with the bags going to the ferry ( we got a taxi there from the bus stop (from the airport) All the ferries were cancelled our morning and we checked another hotel in case we had to stay the extra night but the Niki (also called NIkh) w...

Great place to stay and excellent value for money. A+ accommodation in one of the best residential areas of Athens (next to the US embassy). Suites in great conditions, and great service. Well connected by public transport: Five minutes from the Megaro Musikis metro stop. Well connected to the airport (metro or x95 bus), and the city center (two metro stops to Syn...

When we stay in Athens this is our favourite hotel. The staff are outstanding so helpful and pleasant. In all the hotels we have stayed in the staff in this hotel are the best! The hotel is just at the city center and easy to walk around. If you have only two days. You no need to purchase any metro pass. All around this hotel has many restaurant. It only take you 5 mins walk to Acropolis and Acropolis museum. I like this hotel with clean room, good service and great breakfast. If I return to Athens again. I will not hesitate to book the same ...

We stayed in two different hotels while in Athens. I think Grand Polis was better in term of location and value. Staff are helpful and kind. Breakfast provided. Best of all, they provide free wi-fi, which was accessible from my room at level 5. The room had no good view, but looking at the surrounding of an old city like Athens, this would be common almost everywhere.

We stayed at Airotel Alexandros hotel at 15-17 and 18-20 july 2016, hotel is located not far from city center, at very calm and clean region of city, near by the Unityed States Embassy in Greece. Staff was very good, helped as they could at everything. Room was clean, we stayed with 2 adult and 1 child, they charged extra money as the hotel does not allow to stay with ...

Amazing find. We liked it so much that we came back after our trips to Santorini and Naxos to stay another 5 nights. The staff are very friendly, helpful with lots of tips and advice. The rooms are big, bathrooms are large and even the balconies are spacious. Location is excellent within walking distance of all the main sights, museums, excellent restaurants, bakery,...

I went during winter which is a low peak for tourist visit in athens during that period. But it was so difficult to get sleep due to the noisy streets and the noise from next room. you can hear other guest talk or close their room door because the room wasn't sound proof. There are also no toothbrush, tooth paste or bottle water given. Upon my checkout I was being ask...

It was very pleasant!! We came to Athens not for holidays but to have appointments and meetings with friends a several other people. The location is just perfect. Close to the metro station and the biggest Athens' shopping mall called The Mall. However, it is also in a very calm environment. The staff was very friendly and helpful, speaking great English. The staff is polite and helpful, the facilities (pool and bar) and very nice in a garden with pine trees. The value for money needs improvement. Breakfast is fine but there should be better quality fruits for breakfast. The hotel is located on a busy street with traffic.

Booked this hotel as the others in Piraeus looked very basic. We were not disappointed. I booked the cheapest room but we were given a magnificent suite with a balcony. Only here one night pre cruise and was only sorry that we were not staying longer. Hotel arranged limo transfer from the airport for 60 euros and also arranged a taxi to the cruise ship for 10 euro The...

We are an older couple traveling as tourists in Athens. Friend recommended the King George. It's location is xcellent for walking Athens and it is only a short walk to The Metro. The room was delightful and very clean. Service is impeccable. Slippers and robes and lovely towels are provided. The rooftop dining room was fabulous with its view of The Acropolis at breakfa...

5 day stay at hotel booked via agoda. - best rate. Confortable well appointed room, 5 star standard with faultless amenities. Pity rest of hotel probably only 4 star. Bar / restaurant upstairs very expensive (as always). Roooftop pool really a paddling pool. Free internet for 30mins a real bonus. Located right next to hilton in a quite but nice part of town. 30 ...

We took this hotel because of the indoor pool, but unfortunately it was only for age above 16, so our children (5 and 12) couldn't use it, SPA center was expensive-25 euro for a day/ But the people are very useful and pleasant , breakfast was not bad at all, a lot of restaurants in the area, the hotel is 15 minutes from the center of Athens

Beautiful surroundings very Hollywood style of hotel. Private and luxurious. The spa was excellent for treatments perfect for 3 or 4 guests but you do have to book to use the indoor swimming and steam/sauna facilities because of the limited space. The outdoor pool is ice cold which is great when it’s hot weather. The food is lovely but the menu doesn’t change on a ...

This is the best hotel in Athens. Extremely clean with superb staff, a very nice buffet breakfast in the morning with an awesome view of the acropolis. In a safe area with good dining options such as Nolan right next to it! It's very well located, so much so that we for the 3 days that we were in Athens, we did not need to take the metro at all!. The airport bus stop...

The hotel was beautiful and very Grand, the view from our room was spectacular, but we found the hotel staff at breakfast and even at the reception counter, very stuck up and some were a little rude. We were disappointed that for a 5 star hotel there was no complimentary water in the room or tea and coffee making facilities, these are quite standard in Aisa, so perhaps...

I chosed RB Park because of its location first and then its value for money which.is higher than for other similarly starred hotels. It looks apparently far from Monastiraki and Plaka (THE touristic areas of Athens) but in fact they are just 18 mn far by walk or 2 metro stops. the green line serve Piraeus port (if you arrive/leave from there) and connects with blue lin...

Stayed here for one night & paid extra for day use. Fantastic location to Syntagma Square, best shopping in Athens and walking distance to everything. The room was super comfy. This was the most cosy and intimate and best located ever accommodation I had from all my vacations (and I had quite a lot of them, all over the world).
