British Columbia hotels & places to stay

Frankly to say, I have traveled to Vancouver so many times and stayed in so many different hotels. Atrium of course can't compare with higher class 5 stars hotels....but as value for money, Atrium tops them all! Very good booking price vs good services, clean room, breakfast and underground very secured parkings. I will pretty sure I will book Atrium again for next travel!

As a family of 4 including 2 kids, we stayed in the Hyatt Regency Vancouver for 4 nights. Great hotel facilities and extremely convenient location with easy access to the Royal Center (with Staples (business/stationery store), supermarket, food court, fast food stores, Starbucks etc.) as well as other shops/cafe/restaurants within walking distance. Friendly, polite and helpful staff towards our requests / questions. We stayed on high floor with beautiful city view. Truly lovely to see sunset from the huge window everyday. We parked our rented car at the hotel using day pass - very convenient and more economical than looking for metered parking in downtown. The Burrard skytrain station and bus stops are located across the street so if you are not driving but relying on public transport, this hotel is also well-located.

Me and my son's first trip to Vancouver. My husband took us there for New Year's Celebration. Hotel is fantastic with great breakfast. The room is very clean. It has comfortable 2 queen beds with lots of soft and comfy pillows. We had an amazing view of the water, mountains and some part of the other city. The best part was, we had the view for the Fireworks. But the only thing is missing is a bedroom sleepers which I guess not expensive to offer to a guests who paid $1300 for only 3 nights. I would recommend this hotel to traveller who won't bring a car . Restaurants and shops are accesscible even the food court has an access from the hotel.

We stayed at River Rock Casino for 2 nights in June 2019. Free parking; we could not find parking garage in the same building as our hotel but parked on the other side of the property. Bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. Convenient location. Night Market was within walking distance (although we did not attend). We only wish the lighting in our hotel rooms was brighter. Regardless, we had a pleasant experience at this hotel. Thank you.

I'm almost afraid to write a great review because the next time I'm in Vancouver I'm booking here and I don't want this place to start getting expensive or too popular. The hotel staff kindly upgraded us to a suite on the 24th floor during check-in. The suite was newly renovated and had a 5-star feel, yet I paid about $130 total per night after tax. You can't do better than that in downtown Vancouver, trust me. Hostels will still run you $100 before tax, and the next level-up hotel called Blue Horizon ($150+tax) isn't even better than Century. Trust me, I did hotel research for months before finally choosing to book with Century.

My husband and I booked a last minute trip to Vancouver and were having a hard time finding an affordable hotel that would be reasonably far from the city center. We went with the Comfort Inn in North Vancouver and were pleased with the accommodations. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The room, as well as the hotel itself, is a bit old, but the room was clean and had everything that we needed. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, so we were able to easily use public transportation for most of our travel throughout the area.

It is an oldie but a goodie. All was comfortable, the bed etc. shower was ok but not five star. View was sensational with snow capped mountains. Car park free and absolutely no hassle. Airport shuttle was fine and free. Breakfast was free continental but not five star ... toast with white and whole meal thick sliced, bagels, cornflakes, rice bubbles, apple and orange juices, milk and water, yoghurts, hard boiled eggs, philly cheese, coffee, tea, fresh oranges. Enough for me to be happy. Swimming pool small but swimmable. Spa hot but not bubbly enough. Staff friendly and helpful.

I come to Vancouver about 5 times a year for meetings. Although I may be required to stay at other properties depending on the location/nature of the visit, when I get to book hotel myself, the Hilton is always my first choice. For me it is the best example of the increase in quality that one can get for a bit more money per night. The rooms are modern and clean. Metrotown Mall is close by if my family comes with me. There is an Earl's restaurant within walking distance, as well as a Subway (sandwiches), a liquor store and a grocery store. This is a property you can book with confidence.

excellent hotel with very confortable bedding. Perfect location on the bay. Ideal to have a good rest. The swimming pool is very welcome with a hot tube to have both cold and warm baths. The staff is very friendly and not too present which makes the stay in this hotel nice, pleasant and calm. The buffet on Sunday was OK for $21.95 but don't go around noon otherwise you may not find everything.

Okay, this is now officially my favorite hotel. Our room and the amenities provided were fabulous for a family travelling together. Will a full kitchen and two bathrooms in our suite, this suited our family of 5 so very well. The price was extremely reasonable, and the location second to none. The amazing hot-tub sized two-person tub in the adjoining bedroom was so lovely after a day of walking the town. I love this place. This is the second time we've been there, and we will definitely be back. Thank you for the memories!

I have stayed in several mid-range hotels but nothing beats this hotel. It's not because of the free upgrade we got from a twin room to a suite. But it is for the dedication the customer service staff puts in to ensure you have a smooth stay. They are well trained in tackling every situation, resolve any disputes displeasures be it monetary compensation or immediate assistance. Despite a couple of hiccups which resulted in me requesting for help (i hardly do that), they managed to resolve them in minutes. The cleaners are very very friendly too. I had a good stay.

We picked this hotel because it was walking distance from the Waterfront train station. Arriving from the airport by train allowed us to avoid the traffic on the freeways coming into town. Fast, easy, friendly check in allowed us to start exploring Vancouver right away. The only issue was the amount of homeless/drug user/vagrants in the surrounding neighborhoods, but they pretty much kept to themselves. Inside the hotel there were all the amenities that one would expect from a well run establishment. Breakfast was included and the room was spacious enough for us to spread out.

This hotel truely rates. The customer service is the BEST we have ever had at any hotel and we have stayed at lots of very nice hotels/resorts around the world. They greeted us by name, when they seen us leave or arrive thoughout our stay they again always greeted us. When departing they walked us to our vehicle and gave us bottled water for our drive. It's all the little things that make this hotel stand out from others. The rooms were very comfortable. We did upgrade to a suite which for an extra $50.00 we had a seperate bedroom and larger square footage. Our bathroom was amazing, huge walk in shower, seperate room for the tolit, a huge bath tub with an electric mirror ( tv within the mirror) Pretty cool, to say the least. There was a latte/cappichino machine in the room as well as a fully stocked bar. The ammenities were awesome, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, razer, shaving cream as well as all the other extras. Nice soaps, shampoos, ect. Would return in a heart beat. Location is also prime, minutes to Robson Street and Pacific Centre mall. We WILL RETURN. :)

Had a wonderful 3 night stay. Booked a suite which was on the 11th floor. We were visiting Vancouver as tourists and found the location to be excellant for sightseeing. The suite was very well appointed and comfortable. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would stay again. Compared to other chain hotels was very good value. I would raate the property as a genuine 4 star.

our connecting last flight of the night to kelowna was delayed costing us to forfeit a night at the best western. we arrived early the next morning and with no fuss we were not charged our first night and still given our breakfast vouchers. free wifi and business centre was very useful. location was great- bus stop outside to get downtown, 10min walk to orchid park shopping centre and there are plenty of cheap food options, clothing store and walmart behind the hotel. we didn't have a car but there is ample room to park a hire car if u have one. breakfast was basic and average but we filled up late morning and didn't have to eat until dinner. the food is organized through the bar next door and not directly through the hotel. i would definitely recommend the best western kelowna especially if you need accommodation to or from the mountain as a stop over.

We were on a world tour. We happened upon this hotel, and were very lucky to do so. Vancouver was a new destination for us. Downtown hotels were stupidly expensive.. We booked in at the Ramada Richmond. The staff were just fantastic, reception, room service and particularly the Lady who ran Breakfast. She was just so nice, she prepared everything to order, ensured EVERY Guest was cared for, she could tell you where to go "off the chart", how to get there, what to see ........ and literally gave a hug. This place is in Richmond, with a twice the hour Airport Shuttle, which is brill. Richmond is beautiful, and peaceful. We Lucked out here, seeing Downtown Vancouver, The Ramada and its environs were great.

We stayed in #804, which featured a king-sized bed (good mattress, 4 basic pillows plus 2 other pillows) in an otherwise standard room. The facility is 100% non-smoking. The room style is intentionally minimalist but we had what we needed and everything was in good condition. A/C was easy to use and not overly noisy. The bathroom features a heated, combination toilet/bidet. We chose this location for our staff Christmas party, but otherwise tourists will find the location "good" but not excellent. If you don't mind a bit of a walk (500m) to Robson Street, then I would recommend this to someone willing to trade-off location for value. As locals, we would certainly stay here again .
