British Columbia hotels & accommodations

Frankly to say, I have traveled to Vancouver so many times and stayed in so many different hotels. Atrium of course can't compare with higher class 5 stars hotels....but as value for money, Atrium tops them all! Very good booking price vs good services, clean room, breakfast and underground very secured parkings. I will pretty sure I will book Atrium again for next tra...

As a family of 4 including 2 kids, we stayed in the Hyatt Regency Vancouver for 4 nights. Great hotel facilities and extremely convenient location with easy access to the Royal Center (with Staples (business/stationery store), supermarket, food court, fast food stores, Starbucks etc.) as well as other shops/cafe/restaurants within walking distance. Friendly, polite and...

Me and my son's first trip to Vancouver. My husband took us there for New Year's Celebration. Hotel is fantastic with great breakfast. The room is very clean. It has comfortable 2 queen beds with lots of soft and comfy pillows. We had an amazing view of the water, mountains and some part of the other city. The best part was, we had the view for the Fireworks. But the ...

We stayed at River Rock Casino for 2 nights in June 2019. Free parking; we could not find parking garage in the same building as our hotel but parked on the other side of the property. Bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. Convenient location. Night Market was within walking distance (although we did not attend). We only wish the lighting in our hotel rooms was...

I'm almost afraid to write a great review because the next time I'm in Vancouver I'm booking here and I don't want this place to start getting expensive or too popular. The hotel staff kindly upgraded us to a suite on the 24th floor during check-in. The suite was newly renovated and had a 5-star feel, yet I paid about $130 total per night after tax. You can't do bette...

My husband and I booked a last minute trip to Vancouver and were having a hard time finding an affordable hotel that would be reasonably far from the city center. We went with the Comfort Inn in North Vancouver and were pleased with the accommodations. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The room, as well as the hotel itself, is a bit old, but the room was clean...

Congrats to all Trump International Hotel's staff. You are the best! From the check-in to the check-out, everything was perfect. The cleanliness was spotless, the guys from valet were extremely efficient and friendly and of front-desk were very thoughtful.

It is an oldie but a goodie. All was comfortable, the bed etc. shower was ok but not five star. View was sensational with snow capped mountains. Car park free and absolutely no hassle. Airport shuttle was fine and free. Breakfast was free continental but not five star ... toast with white and whole meal thick sliced, bagels, cornflakes, rice bubbles, apple and orange j...

I come to Vancouver about 5 times a year for meetings. Although I may be required to stay at other properties depending on the location/nature of the visit, when I get to book hotel myself, the Hilton is always my first choice. For me it is the best example of the increase in quality that one can get for a bit more money per night. The rooms are modern and clean. M...

excellent hotel with very confortable bedding. Perfect location on the bay. Ideal to have a good rest. The swimming pool is very welcome with a hot tube to have both cold and warm baths. The staff is very friendly and not too present which makes the stay in this hotel nice, pleasant and calm. The buffet on Sunday was OK for $21.95 but don't go around noon otherwise yo...

Okay, this is now officially my favorite hotel. Our room and the amenities provided were fabulous for a family travelling together. Will a full kitchen and two bathrooms in our suite, this suited our family of 5 so very well. The price was extremely reasonable, and the location second to none. The amazing hot-tub sized two-person tub in the adjoining bedroom was so lo...

The Best Western Plus Regency Inn and Conference Centre was very well maintained and very friendly staff! Never had such a wide selection of breakfast foods staying anywhere else! Amazing!! Very good as well! The bed was very comfortable comfortable! It was very modernized! I will definitely be staying here again if I am ever out this way!!

I have stayed in several mid-range hotels but nothing beats this hotel. It's not because of the free upgrade we got from a twin room to a suite. But it is for the dedication the customer service staff puts in to ensure you have a smooth stay. They are well trained in tackling every situation, resolve any disputes displeasures be it monetary compensation or immediate as...

We picked this hotel because it was walking distance from the Waterfront train station. Arriving from the airport by train allowed us to avoid the traffic on the freeways coming into town. Fast, easy, friendly check in allowed us to start exploring Vancouver right away. The only issue was the amount of homeless/drug user/vagrants in the surrounding neighborhoods, but t...

This hotel truely rates. The customer service is the BEST we have ever had at any hotel and we have stayed at lots of very nice hotels/resorts around the world. They greeted us by name, when they seen us leave or arrive thoughout our stay they again always greeted us. When departing they walked us to our vehicle and gave us bottled water for our drive. It's all the lit...

Cute little old styled hotel. My room was quite small but as a solo traveller it doesn't bother me too much. I like it that I'm able to open the windows. Location is fantastic, 5mins walk to the waterfront and Canada Place. Within walkable distance to Granville St and Robson St. Subway and bus stop nearby. Concierge staff also very helpful and friendly.

My husband and I had a great time in this hotel because of the staff especially Greg he is very helpful and friendly. He answered all our questions, help us with our BC coach and ferries booking and help us to carry our luggage. We definitely come back to this hotel again and recommend this hote to all my friend and relatives.

Had a wonderful 3 night stay. Booked a suite which was on the 11th floor. We were visiting Vancouver as tourists and found the location to be excellant for sightseeing. The suite was very well appointed and comfortable. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would stay again. Compared to other chain hotels was very good value. I would raate the property as a genuine 4 st...

our connecting last flight of the night to kelowna was delayed costing us to forfeit a night at the best western. we arrived early the next morning and with no fuss we were not charged our first night and still given our breakfast vouchers. free wifi and business centre was very useful. location was great- bus stop outside to get downtown, 10min walk to orchid park sho...

Room size was OK but I was travelling alone. Bathrooms are small. Lighting is poor. Drapes needed cleaning. Complementary breakfast was good. They even had a "Go" bag for travellers who have to check out before the continental breakfast opens which was great! But the best of all was the Reception Staff who went above and beyond. That's what sets this hotel apart.

We were on a world tour. We happened upon this hotel, and were very lucky to do so. Vancouver was a new destination for us. Downtown hotels were stupidly expensive.. We booked in at the Ramada Richmond. The staff were just fantastic, reception, room service and particularly the Lady who ran Breakfast. She was just so nice, she prepared everything to order, ensured EV...

We stayed in #804, which featured a king-sized bed (good mattress, 4 basic pillows plus 2 other pillows) in an otherwise standard room. The facility is 100% non-smoking. The room style is intentionally minimalist but we had what we needed and everything was in good condition. A/C was easy to use and not overly noisy. The bathroom features a heated, combination toil...
Cheap places to stay in British Columbia

We had 3 people staying in a family room (2 bunk beds). It's better than a hostel. There were young families staying there. Room was very clean. Downstairs has a huge communal area plus kitchen. There's even a commercial size fridge with sections (labelled) for every room. Golden is also a lovely town.

North Coast Trail Backpackers far exceeded my expectations in all categories. The location is incredible! Centrally located with a short walk to the water and an incredible view! Anne and her staff love what they do and it shows in how organized, clean and well run North Coast is. If you're thinking of staying here, don't hesitate!

Breakfast is what you would find at a regular motel, juice cereal fruit coffee, of course you can cook your own. I bit on the warm and muggy side as the window is small and it is difficult to air out the room. I received bad advice to walk to the aquarium. It was too far and the signs inadequate to find it once inside the park. Best to take the number 6 bus. Otherwise ...

The room was really comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a simple continental and we didn't find it a hassle at all to collect it from reception. Only downside was the noise from the road but it wasn't too bad if you're used to some noise, e.g. towns/cities anyway.

I was positively surprised, the front-desk staff is super friendly, the room was large and had been recently renovated with new floors throughout, new paint and new bathroom fixtures. Everything was very clean. The breakfast is basic but sufficient with cereal, bagels, fruits, muffins, orange and apple juice. They have their own covered parking. Location is very close ...

the bed was hard to sleep on, I could feel the springs on my back and the sheets didn't feel fresh. the bathroom was unclean; in order to take a bath I had to wipe it down myself. It had stains and there were little fragments of hair along the sides of the tub, when standing in the shower to take a shower the bottom of the tub felt unstable, like the center felt like i...

We had just completed a 15 day trip across half the continent. I would have to say this little place would be one of the best. It is a dated business but spotless and little perks the big boys do not take into consideration. Glass not styro/paper cups...wine glasses and even an opener! Spacious room with lots of lighting. Most hangers I have seen ever. Yes, well worth...

The room was okay. Bed and bathroom was clean. The sofa was scary and a bit stained. I made sure to not touch it or let any of my stuff touch it. It was adequate for a night's rest. Breakfast was basic with mostly carbs. Juice, milk, coffee and tea. I recommend it because it was really good price, but if you need exceptionally clean with no stains and no burn marks...

By looking at the previous comment of this hotel, i have less confident. This hotel received a lot of negative comments few months/years ago. However, they amazed me. i found that they did a lot of improvements in terms of cleanliness, breakfast and etc The front desk staff is professional, friendly, helpful, and considerate. My room was upgraded and i was given a r...

We would have taken a place that was warm with a bathroom and bed, but we got so much more. Kitchenette with bowls, plates and utensils, lots of warm water and big tub, two fridges, tv, thermostat, couch and coffe table and fast wifi. A BBQ area was also available, though we did not use.

I traveled to Vancouver with my 85 year old mother, and 12 year old granddaughter. We were treated with great respect, consideration, and kindness. My mother has significant mobility issues and our Host volunteered a special parking privilege. The suite exceeded my expectations, and we would happily book there again! Many thanks!

We took the ferry to Nanaimo for a quick 3 day visit before our cruise. We were in Nanaimo for only one night to rest up after traveling from Toronto all day. The location was very close to the waterfront and many good restaurants. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast the following morning was a very ample continental breakfast with more choice ...

The room we stayed in was 117 - standard queen and the beds were really comfy. Although a smallish room, it has a table, TV and a fridge. The bathroom was clean and neat but mind you there is no window. It also comes with very basic but totally organic and natural toiletries - shampoo, conditioner & soap. (didn't use any of them as we are against the use of plastics) F...

Read some negative reviews on this place and after staying I'm wondering why. Room was super clean. Updated. Everything you need was there. I do think my room phone may have been on the fritz though. Not one complaint, I had a wonderful stay. Didnt get a chance to eat the breakfast so I have no opinions on that.

our stay at this hotel was accidental since most hotels are fully book on that day. we tried agoda to get a hotel booking around 830am because we have transfer to from another hotel. this hotel is centrally located and a short distance by cab to the nearest skytrain station. in 15 minutes our booking was accepted by this hotel and even accomodated us to a two queen bed...

I'm not too sure about the standard for a 3-star hotel, frankly. So my comments below are based on my own experiences and expectations. > no toothbrush / toothpaste provided > no cup/glass in the bathroom, so I have to use those in the mini-bar when I need to brush my teeth > complimentary water? > slippers? > bathrobe? > as driving is very popular & essential there, ...

They gave me a standard room which is i did not book. I always book in Best Western for there good service but this one in Radium Hot Springs they had a bad customer service. I even told them about my booking but they didn't do anything about it. I have a friend who booked in a motel on same time and they only paid for $79 but they have all the amenities they need in ...

The staff there , especially a young man named Genesis were Exceptional . Our first time to Vancouver and to Canada . We stayed there a Couple of Days after a cruise to Alaska . It was my Wife’s Birthday and they Made It Very Special for her. Vancouver is a Very Friendly, and and Safe City . It has some of the most beautiful parks we have ever seen. Genesis helped...

This is the third time at this property but first time as a Hyatt. 4 pm Check in has always been chaotic and each time almost two hours before room is ready! Each time hotel compensate for the inconvenience. Otherwise the property is top notch and staff professional. Even though not lakefront, it has a beautiful lake view and walking distance to beach and water spo...

Breakfast per person 23dollar however we booked 4people together First day at breakfast ,the waiter was kept asking about bill like we are theif and we didn’t know that there were some coupons to get from reception which was there fault to inform us during checkin, hotel is booked for 4adults but food is for 2only seriously ?more expensive breakfast than anyone Nev...

Thought the waterslide and pool would be better... rooms satisfactory and kind of dodgy around the neighborhood at night. definitely lock the car doors. Had construction workers in the hall using the "f' word every other sentence, drunk and waking the kids. Not too polite, all kinds of people I guess. On the good side Great breakfast for value, but crowded. Staff f...

I have Platinum Status with Marriott+Starwood. Didn't feel acknowledged by front desk or anyone else. The hotel does not have a feel of hospitality. The good thing is the Lounge on 25th floor. It was a good experience with good food and service. There are probably much better hotels in the area.

Staff was very friendly. Parking not too expensive for a two night stay. The best part thought was that the hotel was walking distance from anywhere you wanted to go. If you go down Howe street, it's very close to catch a water taxi to take you to Granville Island and shopping on Robson street is only 5 blocks away. For restaurants, Yaletown is just down the street and...

I stayed at the Coast following a late flight arrival. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in was fast and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast menu is comprehensive I like that they have half serves of many of the dishes on offer. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel has a history going back to the 1950's and has undergone several renovations. Our room was small, but clean and the beds were comfortable. The room we had was on the s3rd floor, directly over a high-traffic street and it was quite noisy. Although the room was clean and odor-free, the hallways smelled quite musty. There were insufficient parking spaces during...

Stayed at O Canada House for two nights and the service was impeccable. Breakfast was excellent - very tasty. The pantry was available at all times with drinks and cookies, etc. Yum-Yum! The location is very convenient - close to shopping and restaurants. I loved the hose dog - Sophie. Definitely worth the stay and will return.

The location is outstanding, with a view of the very pretty harbour and small islands from the bedroom. Right in the heart of the village. Perhaps not so convenient if you are a surfer as it is a short drive to the beaches but for shops and restaurants excellent.

My sisters and I stayed for 3 nights at Fairmont on our stopover from Anchorage. We were immediately impressed by the service standard of the hotel as soon as we checked in at around 9+pm. Jeff made the quick call to Chambar to enable us to enjoy our late dinner there and he even drove us ! We also got to enjoy the bikes provided by the hotel to ride around Stanley Par...

The owners of this B&B are so kind and hospitable. From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left it felt like home. The room we stayed it was the hideaway, which was small, but really all we needed. Next time we will go one room up for the jacuzzi. Great quiet location and within walking distance of the town center!

This has been one of my favorite hotel experiences over the past few years (though hotel is not the right term for Middle Beach Lodge). The ocean side view from our room was absolutely beautiful and nothing compares to falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. We stayed in late October, but the weather was really nice and walking along the beach was wonderful. The room...

Really nice view, clean room and great breakfast. Please update your guest policies to indicate children are not welcome:) 4 reasons I would not stay again: 1. We called to ask when check-in was. She could not initially find our reservation. She thanked me for calling as otherwise double bookings can occur. Then she said check-in was between 4 and 6, although she was ...

Experience was exceptional from check in to check out. King suite. Fireplace. S'mores in the courtyard. Wine tasting in Sidecut. Superb service across the board. Ski Concierge was simple and smooth. Shuttle service [almost] round the clock. Anything requested was provided. Spa was divine. Stunning location with superb views from the room. One of the best hotels ever st...

We just returned from our stay in Room #2 and think they deserve a 10, not a 9.7. It was perfect. Our room was gigantic, spotless and sumptuously decorated, including tastefully arranged vases of fresh flowers, a fireplace, a gigantic tub and fluffy robes. Breakfast was fantastic and different every morning. In addition to fresh fruit, yogurt, fredhly baked scones and...

We stayed just one night but had such an amazing stay! The rooms look directly over the inlet, our room was beautiful and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast brought to our room in the morning was a treat! Such a gem, we can't wait to come back!

Spectacular setting, beautiful townhouse with views of the Purcell Mountain Range. So nice. The kitchen was well provisioned, the bathrooms were very well stocked with towels, soap etc. We used the Bar-B-Que a couple of times. So nice, the only change I would make would be too allow local Television. We were very busy and just wanted to check the news and sports f...

We had an amazing experience at this boutique hotel, far exceeded our expectations. Each room had a different theme, and the finishing touches made all the difference. From the TV which is set up with Netflix, to the large soaker tub / jacuzzi and large private outdoor patio looking out over the vineyard, we felt like we were in another world while only five minutes...
