Best hotels & accommodations in Cantabria Autonomous Community

We enjoyed our time staying here, the hotel is in the most amazing place. We find that the not being able to get food between 4 and 8.30 in the evening in Parador Hotels not very customer friendly. After a long journey from our last hotel all we wanted was a snack and to relax in our room but this Sevice was unavailable. We found the staff, although very nice a little ...

The hotel is situated about a block away from the wonderful clean clean Sardinera beach with its small selection of bars & restaurants. Our room was small but perfectly adequate and was clean and quiet. Breakfast is NOT included in the price, and is in the the basement which is however well lit. It ranges from the basic €3 coffee (from an urn) & pastry through to an €...

Really could do with a refurbishment, had a very grubby feeling to the whole place. Constant banging of doors by children running riot so I couldn't get any sleep. I booked the room via agoda as it said it had parking, only to find that I had to park my motorbike in a garage around the corner. Then in the morning I was told I had to pay for this when nothing was ment...

The host was super friendly and welcoming, she explained everything in the apartment and told us how to find her if we needed anything. We were very comfortable for 2 nights and the region is beautiful to explore. A good location if you have a car, Potes not far away, less than 10 minute drive. Our 2 bedroom apartment had 2 bathrooms, a washing machine, iron, oven...

i was visiting my daughter who lives in santander and this hotel was recommended to her by friends who also live there. it is right in the heart of the town with easy access to shops and cafes etc but our room and main hotel reception areas were quiet. the hotel is exceptionally clean and i am very fussy! the bedrooms are spacious with large bathrooms too and good heat...

this is a standard 3 star hotel that is reasonable value for santander. the room was basic but clean and it was quiet. The location is good - 5 mins from bus station and train station, and there are bus stops serving the beaches just around the corner. The bathroom was clean but a bit dated with an average shower.

The title of theis review only works if you're a Brit, but says it all really. A fabulous hotel at a budget price, obviously not five star in terms of facilities, but everything else was fab. Secure car park, great location near town and ferry and, best of all, really friendly, helpful staff. Some dimblebrains have given this place bad reviews - what do they expect, a ...

Good hotel, but we booked this for the sports club and we had huge problems there. First, to use the pool you have to have a swim hat - the staff were very hot on this, even though some of the regulars seem to be able to swim without one. My son was not allowed in the gym - minimum age 14. My wife's experience in the steam room was just dreadful - ladies only, which pr...

We enjoyed our brief stay here. Disappointed with the restaurant for evening meal. Service was good but meal mediocre, one main course went back to be heated as only just warm.Lacked atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent with wide choice of buffet foods. Fruit, cereals, cold meats and chesses, bread, rolls and pastries.

We found bedbugs in our bed and we ( my wife and me) have nasty itchy bites from these insects. Now 5 days after we still have to take medicine to get the itchy spots down. It harms our trip through Europe. The place of the hotel is not in Santander but about 20 minutes driving by car to get into the center. I would not recommend this hotel for people interested in...

Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Room clean and comfortable. No refridgerator or air-con, however windows open and air is clean. Location very quiet and plenty of parking space. PLEASE NOTE: there is NO LAN, only wireless in public areas, no internet service to rooms. Breakfast is minimal. No shops within walking distance, however there is large Carrefour jus...

Be warned the floor boards are creaky and walls paper thin, to be expected for a house of this age. It didn't bother us too much (we had earplugs!) and we really enjoyed out stay here. Great staff and would certainly recommend. Secure parking out back for cars and motorcycles also very handy.

I thought I was booking a hotel in Santander. As it turned out, it was 25 minutes exactly from Santander by train in a very small village called Saores. The hotel was small and perfectly adequate for my needs - I actually wanted a quiet time after hiking in the Pyrennes but I was surprised that there was no mention of the fact that the hotel was not in Santander. Oth...

the hotel is in a good position at the beginning of the walking & eating area of the city, near to the plaza the toros too. the rooms are big enough, clean, the bath is comfortable too, the wifi works satisfying and the included breakfast is ok, you get a coffe and a juice and a piece of pastry or a pincho. the rooms could look a bit more modern but for a 3 nights stay...

A great little hotel on a hill just up from the main city center - which is nice, since there is almost no noise at all. We had a fantastic time here - the owner makes every effort to make sure you are comfortable, is bright and sunny. Free WiFi is a bonus. Breakfast was simple and nice in the morning. Overall, very happy with our stay here - outstanding value. For ...

We stayed here for 2 nights. The staff were very friendly and encouraged my daughter who was learning spanish to only speak in spanish (perfect English was spoken by some staff). The room was very clean and tidy and the maid very friendly. The location was great to some degree being very central, however with young children the bars were loud quite late. If we were wi...

Put it this way. The door lock didn’t always stick, the mould. Was only between the shower tiles, there was still some pant left on the skirting boards, a tiny room is easier to clean, and perhaps you could join in next doors conversation, because you can hear every word. And it is indeed a novelty to flush the toilet by pulling a chain, and the toilet only smelled a...

What stood out was the peace. The area is named for the Pas River, but it should be named Paz, for peace. The couple who attend to the house and the nearby restaurant are very attentive and friendly. The only problem was something completely not under their control. There were sheep on a hill in front that stayed out all night. They all have bells. One moved, the other...

Having just come off ferry from Portsmouth (about 5 minute drive), this was an ideal 'budget' stop for an overnight stay before heading off on travels. Parking outside hotel, not too much round about though. Staff very friendly. Wifi not working as it should, but think this was bad luck on the day. Breakfast very good - excellent choice and take as much as you wish....

What a find! A charming English speaking hostess and her talented chef partner make this chalet style small guest house in a delightfully quiet lakeside village a real gem. Polished wood floors, tasteful soft furnishings, piping hot shower and a super-comfy bed - bliss - after a long drive or 24 hour ferry crossing from UK. We guests, a young Spanish couple and 3 Eng...

This hotel is a hidden gem. I wish I could stay there more than one night. It is situated in a 300 year-old building, immaculately restored. I staid in the cheaper rooms downstairs, the ones upstairs have a balcony and supposedly are even better. It is family-owned, and I was served by one of the co-owners. She is extremely friendly and accomodating. The hotel is surro...
