Where to stay in East Java
East Java hotels & accommodations

I think the hotel’s room need to redecorating. This hotel uses old decoration. I guess this hotel uses semi traditional java for every single room. Yesterday was my third experience stay on this hotel. My first was pretty well, polite staff. My second was good, not different than my first.

Pros : 1. Wide parking space 2. Great variety of menu for breakfast 3. Enough playground for kids 4. Instagrammable garden 5. Friendly employee 6. Enough room ammenities 7. Really comfortable bed and pillows 8. Great view from my hotel room Cons : 1. A little bit small room for 5 stars hotel 2. Far from any city event 3. Far from parking lot to room 4. No snacks in min...

Let me just say, This hotel deserve more than 5 stars review!! From the very beginning we were checked in with the guest relation (Lala) then waiting in the executive lounge and got a very warm welcome from Made (Executive Lounge Manager) and the rest of the executive lounge staff for example Indah, they were all went above and beyond their duty to showed a tremendousl...

This hotel price was quite expensive for an area of East Java. But it is going to be worth it since all of the hotel facilities and staff are very pleasant. We had an amazing trip and my children loved the hotel so much especially warm water pool. Keep up your good work!

I was having a great stay here. The hotel is cheap for a 4stars hotel, staffs are very kind and friendly, and also the bedroom is large enough and have awesome view. I came to the hotel on 10 am and we didn't have another destination until 2 pm. So we only took a seat at the hotel lobby. Lucky me, on 11 am, the hotel staff opened a room for me! They said it was empty a...

Excellent is all areas that I would like. Room is not grandeur like a 5 star but good amenities for room and very clean with plenty of towel supplies. Entry at lobby to check-in at reception to room service to breakfast to check-out and even assistance at lobby for my own transport was excellent! Of particular interest were the service from the hotel staff; somethin...

My first impression about this hotel began when the security in the lobby opened our car's door and greeted my nephew who had just woken up with friendly gesture, "ah, ade masih ngantuk ya (trans: ah, little boy are you still sleepy?). The friendliness and hospitality of the staffs continued throughout our stay. They were also responsive. When I called the housekeepin...

i was checked in to a room on level 22. nice spacious room. happy with the room, shouldve requested a non smoking floor. breakfast was nice... good variety.. u get to taste east java cuisines make sure u book in advance coz this hotel is very busy. lounge area is not very classy, need to instal electricty sockets near the bed.

overall we really like this hotel, for a "zoo" hotel and not under a big hotel management, their really shocked us with almost everything... no bad small at all even they have so many animals there, and the best is about their cleanliness, superb like a pro! so it's impossible for an early check in coz they really clean up the room so perfectly, hard to find any dust e...

Excellent location, within walking distance to shopping mall, stores, Monkasel etc. Easy to find foods, even East Java traditional menus are available near by. Helpful staffs (we came too early but it's no problem to find us available room, the room was even upgraded). Breakfast is good and they serve many option. The hotel is getting old but it is well maintained, and...

Everytime I went to hike a mountain in East Java, I ended up the nights in Tugu. Tugu is romantic place, I loved to looking around hotel and admired the paintings. The wine is chill and the pool is bright too. Every staffs is friendly. One thing if I can give suggestion : twice, my friend want to get taxi in dawn, and the hotel can't help. Maybe next time, this fa...

the hotel is located at darmo, which is a central of the surabaya city. in front of the hotel there's so many native foods of east java and we enjoy it. surrounding is crowded by night especially saturday night because the 'taman bungkul' is like a hangout and rendevous place for youngers

The Hotel Ciputra World Surabaya was above my expectation. Everything in the hotel is above average and in fact even the rest rooms as a "wow" factor. Everyone was very friendly from the honest security guards to the hotel General Manager Ms Christiane Wasfy who was herself very outstanding after meeting her personally during her rounds in the hotel. The hotel is in ti...

The best thing is the facilities which are very complete; swimming pool outdoor, indoor, sport arena (basket, badminton, futsal, volleyball), library, karaoke, jacuzzi, sauna, etc, so much worth the price, be sure you have enough time to enjoy all the facilities. The location is also great, 5 minutes walk to jatim park 1, from there you can have shuttle to other jatim ...

When you book into a Shangri la property you expect quality and this one in Surabaya lives up to the brand. I stayed for one night only and did not have enough time to experience all the hotel has to offer. It is truly a 5 star hotel with several restaurants, huge pool and large spa with sauna steam and jacuzzi. The Gym was impressive as well. The room is well appointe...

I think there is not much to say except that I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. I've been to worse 5-star hotels! Nothing to complain about, the restaurant downstairs was really good, live band just nice (not too loud). Too chilly to swim when I was there so didn't try the pool but it definitely looked nice. The staff is really nice as they went out of their way t...

This is a very old Hotel but the staffs are all polite & very friendly. Chantika (The receptionist) upgraded our room when she found out we were travelling with a 5 yrs youngling and made us a member of Marriott Bonvoy so our daughter can have a free breakfast. Due to Tika initiative - making us a member of the Marriott Bonvoy - we cancelled our hotel in Jakarta and b...

This one of the best value for money hotel I have stayed in Surabaya. The staff is so friendly, I have requested a quiet room and the hotel gave me the 9th floor and I wasn't disappointed, it was not only quiet but had a great view of the city. There was so many eating places just outside the hotel and in the evening there were rows of warungs just behind the hotel. Th...

The room is Classic, best facilities in the room is they have Bathtub that you hardly find in any similar hotels with same star rating. Breakfast is really delicious, room service menu available with soooo many choices of food. WiFi speed is fast, location nearby Tunjungan Plaza & Hokky Supermarket.

Hotel Aria Gajayana is ideally located in the heart of the town of Malang, East Java, Indonesia, only 5 minutes walking to shopping center, sport center, entertainment center and public services as well as a business center and leisure place. This hotel offers its customers exclusive and privacy. Hotels that have this modern building in his room deluxe and suites to de...

Was surprised to have found such a gem in East Java. All well maintained and clean. Easy access to the Parks, need to drive thou... foods are plenty to choose from, no issues. Remember... if u look for something closest back to nature, this place has it all. Keep it up and kudos to the hospitality. Thumbs up, two that is... 👍👍

Nice room with good in room amenities. Used the washer dryer to clean clothes after climbing all week in east Java. Lots of restaurants nearby and breakfast served onsite. Basic gym facilities and pool. Staff were brilliant. Room was a bit run down and could have used a fresh coat of paint and tidy but was otherwise great for a night before heading to the airport.

A five star hotel is basically not just the number of rooms and the high end facilities provided for guests. The most important is the the personal touch provided by the amazing, friendly and helpful staffs. Not many 5 star hotels offer this and focus on making money only. What i experienced at Wyndham Surabaya was the capability and the excellent service rendered by ...

The Royal Orchids Garden Hotel is nicely located in Batu, Malang, East Java. Although this is an aging hotel, its maintenance is quite ok hence its condition is still deemed acceptable. Rooms are spacious, with beds and furnishings that are ok. So is the food. While nothing is spectacular, there's also nothing wrong. Its main attraction would be, I'd say, its pool. I...

After spending 2 nights enjoying hill-side entertainment at Batu, we spent 1 night at Malang, City. A Bali style hotel with excellent Bali hospitality. Some customers might be disappointed by the location but we love it for the various food stall during night and it has distances from main road. Pool is great, various good breakfast, and it does have spacious clean roo...

Great location just opposite Tunjungan Plaza the biggest plaza in East Java. I stayed here a couple of ninths with my two young daughters and they loved it! The pool was always quiet and the perfect dept for them 1.2m (they spent most of their time here swimming. The Buffet Breakfast was excellent with great selections from traditional Indonesian to western food. The ...
Cheap places to stay in East Java

The family here was very nice and friendly. They took me to the ATM, to get juice, and to the laundry services for no extra fee. Great place, clean, they have their own store out front, and even have street food vendors. They have the best price for the Ijen tour guide, too. It was a pleasure to stay here, and would definitely stay again!

The price is very cheap compared to the quality. The location is the best where you can walk 1 minute to the Grand city mall. The bunk bed is very private with curtain and it smells nice. I love the most that there is a rule of no noise, no food inside the bed area. Most guests here are respectful. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. I appreciated very much when they...

I have been to Surabaya from Yogyakarta by train. This hotel is very close to the train station. Eventhought I hurt my leg that time but I can easily arrive by walking just a fews step to here. The dorm is very clean and equiped with very comfortable bed. The spacious inside is big enough and the aircond is cool enough in the room. I like the morning break...

A great hostel, but its not popular yet among the tourist. I suggest to stay here when you visit malang. Best hostel in malang probably! Clean and quite dormitory room, friendly and cheerful staff, cozy and relax ambience, and the cleanliness of the toilet is on point! Its also close to anywhere in the downtown area of malang, you can walk anywhere. Minus point from me...

Before we getting here, Thailia was so nice and helpful to help us find the way to get to the homestay. Also, they tried their best to teach us about the transportation after arriving to Bali, the room was nice and the bed was so comfy. Although there was no hot water for shower, it was still fine to me as we were just staying for one night to Mt. Ijen. Btw, they als...

When we arrived and checked in, we were given the room near the lobby which I thought nice at the first time after confirmed to the staff that this hotel is quiet. The room was clean and nice, we got garden view. No aircon, you don't need it. Its really cold at night time! The bathroom is clean. But, in the morning time around 6 am, there were a loud voice from the lob...

Breakfast was simple but really good. The rice had a great flayvor. Next door live the owners parents. A really friendly couple who also speaks a bit English. For 900k (For 2) the owner offers Ijen Tours to see the blue fire and sunrise. Afterwards you can jump under a waterfall to wake up again. If you need to do laundry ask for. His wife offers it! We will come agai...

very friendly staff and clean room, the breakfast is delicious . I forgot and left my passport at the Homestay and went to Bali, my passport totally slipped my mind. Then the owner sent me a gmail and informed about it and kept my passport until i went back to get it. I highly recommend this place for backpackers.

Lovely staff and nice accomodation with good views. Breakfast was a simple but tasty toastie with some fruits we've never tried before! Only stopped here for one night in passing but it was a good stop, and very cheap! Only negatives were the lack of a mosquito net as the design of the room included open windows with no meshing, and also no hot water in shower. Overall...

I stay for 6 days total (1 day + 4 days + 1 day). I can recommended as best value hotel in mid town. Surrounded by local and chinese food restaurant. Surabaya city night live just one step there, I can hear their music from my room (at weekend only). Hotel's cleanliness is above average, all staff are friendly and ready to help although with limited english. All room...

The owner is friendly and helpful. The location is opposite the train station. There's stall in front of the homestay. You can buy drink, snack, toiletries and even food from the stall. You can also rent motor easily because the shop is just right beside the homestay. Convenient! Cheap and clean room, friendly and helpful owner, convenient location, what else do you ne...

Nice hostel in a really conveniant location. Only a short walk from the train station and moments to Alun Alun park which was nice to sit and eat lunch. The hostel was comfortable, met some nice people here. The lady on the front desk was really helpful with sites and information and gave a history lesson about Java which was nice. Would be great if they had some food ...

Small room, bathrooms are shared, no towel provided (Agoda indicates they do), Rooms are barred using mosquito nets but the door was opened when I checked in so mosquitoes are already in. Was trying to ask for spray but no one was around... During check-out I just left the key on the door and simply drove off.

It’s not so far from the train station and the staffs there are really really really nice .They gave me so much help during my stay .Yudha helped me to buy train ticket and even gave me a ride with his motorbike to visit a little bit around the city, introduced me good local food .We walked around the square close to the hostel with another good guy from Korea. When I le...

With Agoda just paid 250.000 for Room Only. Really the best price compared with other channel booking. And the surpise still going on. after got the best price, I Got the Upgrade to Superior Room which is really Big room and super comfy bed with Hugh pillow. thanks to Agoda and CitiHub for my exceptional stay.

The owner and his wife were really nice and helpful, but we didnt ecpect no flush and no sink (not even thinking about such basic things) for that price!! But the room and bath were very clean, same as the whole accomodation! Theres a Gate that lets You feel safe! The bed was horrible uncomfortable soft and hard pillows, but that depends on what you like! After a sleep...

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a really nice guesthouses. Everything was clean and comfortable. There is not hot water in tge shower but it is not too cold, really nice temperature. 4 stars Hotel with perfect location, just beside Tunjungan Plaza 2. Spacious room with hot tub, hot shower, cable TV (not all channel have clear picture), and a small fridge. good hotel, good room, great breakfast. will come to this hotel again. located in the city of malang. the location of the rooms are a little bit confusing. malang is in east java. you can fly a direct flight from jakarta w/ garuda and some other airline. the airport is a little bit small, still under construction, but it serves its purpose. good luck !

I book two rooms and as I remember I asked special request via agoda for a room in upper floor and face into swimming pool, and I get it. It is a large room and we have connecting room each other. What a nice thing . From our rooms we can see the mountain from balcony. The beds are comfortable, and it is not difficult to get our rooms in 2nd floor because there is a lif...

The hotel is new, so as expected it's clean and smells good. It's close to a shopping mall (Around 10 min walk) and not far from the city centre. There was free WiFi, although the signal was weak from my room, but it wasn't too bad. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was a little small, but clean. Overall, the hotel was nice and cosy and great value...

Room was quiet small but very clean. Lighting was good. Aircon was well functioned. Location is very strategic in jember city center. We can go to the legendary Mie Rama by walking. Should improve: - Kind of welcome drink. They gave us ice tea as welcome drink, while other 4 star hotel gave juice / infuse water - Trashbin with foot pedal better than without pedal. - Sh...

we have stayed as a family back then when our kid was 2.5 years old. by that time it was an excellent hotel (i think the best there is in batu at the time). two weeks ago, when our daughter is already 24 years old, we went back to the same hotel to meet with some family from different city. we were hesitating since the hotel would have been quite old by now, but mos...

The Hotel absolutely very clean, surrounded by Hills, I think this one the best view so far I stayed. The all staff was so friendly, and my driver got morning tea and breakfast at the Hotel for free. We spent 3 days and 2 nights at this hotel and it was very nice. Front Desk attitude was great. I forgot my ID card at the lobby and they went to my room to give it back. Variance of food was awesome. Both local and western food are available. They served JAMU as well! The sad thing only for the pool. It was too small for 4 star hotel but overall, We do really satisfie...

My friend recommend me to stay at Illira and it was the great decision that i’ve made. I stay at the top floor and the balcony are facing the ocean and coconut/palm trees. The staff super friendly and room service is at the good price. One minor: the water is smell when u open the tap for first time. but maybe it typically water facility problem. All in a, i’d say stay...

Rated 5 star, it doesn't match the standards. When we arrived by taxi, no one would pick up our luggages to reception. No warm welcome provided. English is barely spoken and we had difficulties to be understood, except with one friendly lady working morning shifts. The landscape is magnificent and the chalets in the middle of the nature look fabulous. But the decoratio...

Surrounded by good food and also places to hang out. We booked this hotel twice before and after our road trip. Travelling with a toddler and baby, the room is spacious to roam around. Definitely back to this hotel again. Do note for exclusive pumping mother, the fridge not so cold.

trust me you need to stay at this hotel when you're in Surabaya, the staffs are amazing (they even surprised me a birthday cake on my birthday), the services are amazing as well ,not forget to mention they provide a baby crib ,the room have been comfortable and immaculate, best location trully 5 stars hotel stayed september 2015, travelled as a families with baby

Stayed for 3D/2N in late Okt. 2017 for a working holiday with my family and our entourage. Booked 3 rooms through Agoda for 990 each, as the hotel website prices are outrageously expensive. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful in upgrading one our Premiere room to the Royal Suite (don’t expect much in the Suite btw). Rooms were classy, clean and cozy. Bathroom...

LOCATION: Newish hotel in a residential street. Parking will be challenging for anyone who isn't comfortable using reverse gear. Gave my booked room to someone else just because i didn’t call to reconfirm my booking personally. Eventually got a replacement room but didn’t get the keys to the room because when i called it got rejected so many times up until i gave up.
