East Nusa Tenggara hotels & places to stay

We stayed in Bintang Flores Hotel for 4 nights and it was a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is actually a bit of distance from Labuan Bajo city centre, as in Nov 2018 there were not any restaurants or shops around. To walk to the city centre, it would take 30 minutes, you can book a taxi through the hotel and cost Rp.50,000 each way and that can cost quite a bit if you go and back a couple of times each day. I would suggest renting a scooter from the hotel. Breakfast is buffet style with quite a good option but a lot of flies while we were there, they said it because of Mango season. The staffs are friendly & helpful, I could tell they might have short of times a couple of times but they did the best they could. Maybe the best part of this hotel is the pool area which is adjacent to the beach. The beach can be a bit dirty in the afternoon especially after rain, I believe the hotel staff cleans it out but rubbish comes in from other areas, You'd see rubbish

Smack in the middle of town, next to all the dive shops, tour agents, shops .. however once u enter the hotel, u leave all that behind. Room n hotel are different from the rest., in a good way. Hanging garden , that is pure inspiration. You can eat at the rooftop restaurant with the view of the Harbour that is within walking distance. Or just find a space to hangout while talking to the people around about their dives, the dive shops to go with n activities for the day. Or just chill. You won't be stranded somewhere far, or need to haggle with Drivers to go somewhere.. staff here are also accommodating, even if this is Indonesia, they do their best to respond .

First the bad news: It's a little ways out of town (which is good news, because it isn't much of a town). Taxis and bemos tend to overcharge around here. But the hotel was very accommodating in either providing transportation themselves or arranging it. All the rest is great news: Hotels in Malaysia tend to be friendly and helpful, but the manager and staff at the Puri Sari are truly exceptional. They seem to take a personal interest in you and your wants and needs. We were actually sad to say goodbye to everyone at the end. The restaurant and room service were excellent. It is the best restaurant in town, and very reasonably priced. It can take a while to cook your supper, so we chose to have them bring it to our nice room. We arranged tours with the manager, and got fine service and value and perfect convenience. We also burdened them with solving our difficulty of multiple trips to the airport to complete flight plans. Bottom line is that when you stay at Puri Sari you will be happy with everything except for saying goodbye. Incidentally, there is a good convenience store and also a laundry within easy walking distance on the main road.

My friends and I (a group of 5) were traveling around Indonesia for 3 weeks and we have seen a lot of different types of accommodation in Indonesia and Sylvia resort is by far the best place we stayed in during our trip. The staff is very kind, welcoming and will go out of their way to answer any question and provide the best service. The rooms are cleaned daily and our towels were changed daily as well. The resort includes a lovely private beach that you will have just to yourself. There is shuttle transport service to the airport and the port daily free of charge. We ordered room service quite often and it was very fast and reliable. There is a small gym which we never used as we were going to excursions or just chilled at the beach or the pool which was in front of our rooms. The resort is very relaxed and quiet, there were mostly families with children and couples. We still had our fun though. :) If you're thinking about staying anywhere in Labuan Bajo, think no more, this is the best place for a very reasonable price!

Although a discount, we paid the price for a quite high quality standard (160 Euros/night for a couple incl. breakfast) but we got very poor services. It was a scam. Food (lunch and diners) are to be avoid but you need to take the boat escort to reach Labuan Bajo and they make the fee expensive. We are used to travel a lot and this is the first time we see such a poor quality. We were the only customers during the 4 days of the 1st of May week-end break. It's a pity because the location and the bungalow are fantastic.

cozy place, friendly staffs, the provide pick up from airport to hotel and return not every hotel had this facilitates for free, my room in the lower hill it mean the street view, but that enough for me, not to busy and can see a wildlife in the morning like monkeys and birds. the hotel near Pura , Church and Mosque but the terrain lil bit up hill heehehe. for me if i had a groups to Komodo Island i will booked here. and for OJEK 25RB ILLEGAL CAB 50RB from hotel to ujung baru- harbour- market- night life- and back to hotel actually not to far but enjoy u r stay in labuhan bajo this hotel i recomended

while the centro bajo is not in the center of all of the activities going on in this small city, it is close enough to walk. what the hotel offers is a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. the staff is very friendly and while some of them struggle with english they all tried their best to assist in solving any problems. on the downside is the lack of hot water in the shower. after trekking for almost an entire day, i was looking forward to a nice hot shower and instead almost froze my manhood off.

I have to say - the hotel staff is the best I've ever met, everyone greeting you and smiling at you. The first night I got a suspect dog bite and the hotel manager drove me to the hospital and sent me back too, and they even followed through and cared about me so much, so really appreciate that! The location is great, 10 minutes drive from the airport and the view is amazing too, especially in the morning having breakfast and enjoy the sunrise. Also, the day tour to Komodo (by East Cruise) recommended by the hotel staff is AWESOMEEEEEEE! Overall, I give 10/10 to this hotel although it's still under construction but definitely recomment it!

The stuff was very helpfull and polite and we could leave our 2 big boardbags there when we did a boattrip.. we rebted scooters in town to be fully free and we could travel around and explore on our own.. the room was amazing with a lovely bathroom.. we hung up our hammok on the balco y and had the best view to the bay from there! Also the kitchen is really delicious.. So chilled out and good! I could recomend this to everybody who just wants to relax a view days from crowdy Labuan Bajo doing nothing or also a good hideaway place, but then you better rebt a scooter to be mobile.. thank you Eden, you have been good to us!

The best thing about this hotel is location right in front of the beach. Bookings through Agoda and travel agents get rooms facing the road, not the beach. But I think they had overbooked the city view rooms, so I was fortunate to be given a beach facing room. The view was fantastic. Just the view made all the difference. I would highly recommend taking a sea facing room (maybe you can't book it through Agoda). Breakfast spread was good. Staff were friendly, but then again that seemed to be the way in Kupang. One point to note though, West Timur is absolutely not tourist friendly at all. You should be prepared for tough travelling, poor tourist information, bad roads (or none at all), etc.

The rooms are tiled, spacious, mine had aircon, twin beds, local tv, a desk, space for your clothes and belongings, a modern bathroom with hot water, and a terrasse with two chairs and a small table facing a garden. Everything was super clean, they clean the room , change the towels everyday, and give you two small bottles of water a day. Breakfast is included. It is very quiet. The only bad point is it is faraway from the center BUT they provide for free a car or minibus any time you want to go anywhere you want in town for free . They took me several times to the immigration office (I extended my visa) and in town. From town, just call and they come in five or ten minutes to pick you up. The owner is always present to help you to book your bus or next hotel, in all an excellent stay and I highly recommend this hotel!

It's OK for the price offered for the superior room. But for most of the hotel in Labuan Bajo are fully booked anyway, so you might found the price more expensive than Bali for this kind of hotel quality. Does not have wi-fi and the breakfast option quite poor compare to other hotel with the same rate which located within walking distance. The staffs are helpful though.

Definitely the best Place to stay in Labuan Bajo! Walking distance to the town (15 minutes to the center of Labuan Bajo, 20 minutes back because of the hill and me missing fitness...), silent place to sleep, spectacular view, especially from the upper (a little bit more extensive) bungalows (our was Nr. 10), good breakfast (great banana pancake). Absolutely worth the money. Nice and clean pool, you can easily spend a day at the hotel. For us, the cleanliness was most important. For Asia it is very, very clean. And the Mosquito net is made of cotton and protects from mosquitos and to cold air from the AC ;-) I recommend this Hotel to everybody who wants to visit Labuan Bajo! Only booking a Tour is a little bit cheaper in the town.

We really enjoyed our stay at capa maumere hotel. It was my boyfriends birthday on the date we arrived and all the staff greeted us singing happy birthday with a guitar, gave us a birthday cake and welcome cocktails. The location was lovely and the views were breathtaking. The pool area was gorgeous too, perfect place to relax watching the sunrise over the bay. The hotel was very clean and the rooms too. The room was big and had a nice bathroom. The hotel itself was very quiet and so felt lacking in atmosphere, it felt more geared up for business than tourists/travellers, the only thing it missed was somebody available to give us information on the local area such as things to do, places to eat, snorkelling spots, diving etc.... It's a new hotel ( only a month old) so perhaps this will still be developed in time. I'd recommend the hotel for a peaceful, stopover for a couple of nights of rest and relaxation! The food was okay, tasty, but overpriced in relation to the local area. Our other complaint were the portion sizes were small. We both ordered the same chicken dish and both got completely different siZed portions (both small) Apart from that we really enjoyed our time here. It's a bit pricier than anywhere else in the east of Flores, if they Improved the prices of the food or the portion sizes and had staff that spoke English to offer local tourist information then I think it would be well worth the money. So definitely give it a try!

Kawasuri has been the best hotel I have been in the last past 3 months traveling thru Asia. It is a new hotel, very clean, spacious room with balcony and breakfast is included and they bring it to you in your room so you can have breakfast on your balcony enjoying the view. As soon I arrived I knew I was going to like it and I did! The atmosphere is amazing, it is not just a hotel as i felt like i have been part of a community/family. I had the chance to meet other people while been in the common area located close to the kitchen. And you can even use the kitchen to cook your own food. Abdul (son of the owner) is an amazing guy, very nice with a good english and very friendly. He came to pick me up and drop me off from/at the airport and helped me twice to book my flights because i could not use my credit card. He has been very responsive every time I tried to communicate with him via emails. Nacer the owner is also an amazing person very welcoming.Thanks Abdul, Nacer... for your hospi

I stayed in this hotel on my transit to Jakarta and I enjoyed it. I particularly love that all foods only a minute a way, they even have a nice coffee shop next to lobby, which I can enjoy food and drink and work until late (I left about 10pm and I dont know what time they closed, 11pm maybe? Forget to ask). Overall the room is okay. I wished the staff in restaurant, especially the egg station during breakfast can be more helpful. They need to learn how to request guest to line up when order and remember whose order is which.

I stayed at L Bajo Hotel Komodo for 4 nights whilst holidaying in Labuan Bajo. Room 408 was a simple room on the 4th floor with a great view overlooking to harbour edge and out to the nearby islands. I got an amazing sunset photo from hanging out of the open window at sunset. Most staff had only a little English language but I can speak pretty good Bahasa Indonesia so this was definitely an big advantage, as it was in the whole of Flores, Labuan Bajo and the Komodo islands. The room was adequately clean, the bed was very comfortable & clean and the air con worked very well. Bathroom was clean, simple and suitable too. I had a try of operating the in-room safety box but couldn't on my first try; after a trip to reception the best english speaking staff member helped me learn how it worked... it was a little different to the instructions provided. Everything was kept safe here during my stay here. Simple breakfast was provided which I did not use at all while staying here but good food places within 10 mins walk so not an issue for me. Also a well stocked, seperate convenience mart next to reception level was a bonus. L Bajo Hotel's best attribute for me was it's closeness to the harbour strip with all the dive and tour shops, restaurants, warungs, bakery, laundries, bike rental shops and marts. At the end of Jalan Soekarno Hatta was the fish market and the nightly Pantai Kampung Ujung, with about 15 different stalls selling fresh fish & seafood that they will cook for you with rice and veg. There are also stalls selling fried tofu & tempeh, fried veg & fruit and sweets and drinks. Marts across the road sell beer and other drinks too. Best tip about LB I can give is to hire a motorbike and travel north out of Labuan Bajo to around the Waecicu bay area for excellent sunset photo opportunities... just keep going on the eventual dirt road to the tip of the peninsular for the best view!

This was the most beautiful and most perfect hotel where we have stayed in whole South east asia! The room is like a dream come true and everytime you come in again you feel a little sprak inside. The staff was so friendly and the rest of the resort was super super clean and beautiful! We can’t imagine a better resort, expesially in maumere. Treat yourself and book this resort! You won’t regret it!!!! For this money it is insane what you get! Just do it!!!

this hotel is a 1 star hotel, pretty impressive for the service and running by family, i assume. they are fully service oriented and super polite. Location is not in the city center / nor harbour, but they provide you driver for picking up and drop off. (in my case, after done with my 3days cruising trip, i called them to pick me up at meeting point that i wanted, then they came in 20mins) Noted : start at 21pm, you need to pay extra for driver service. Room Facilities, Air con is working as normal AC, not noisy or water dripping. just perfect! Bathroom, water is not so weak also not strong push, toilette also works. what need to be improved is the light bulb need stronger Watt, brighter. Internet wifi is strong except in my room (right at the corner, so everytime i need internet, either i hangout in front office or sitting on next room's chair. the lady at the front desk, correct me if i am wrong, her name is Veronica, she is really helpful and nice person.

When you arrive with the boat it is easy to find just few yards from the arrival. The checking is at 1 pm the staff is ok friendly , the room on the first floor are ok , a large bed, clean bed shits, the bathroom has cold water but my experience traveling in Indonesia if you don't spend money in a luxurious hotel you get only cold water . The hotel was quiet I think if you want something cheap and good enough it is a good stay . Situate just near the food night market next to the town center. Good enough thank you .

We loved our stay here, although we didn't use the restaurant - the prices seemed insanely high (e.g. 91,000 for a big Bintang when service charge and tax is taken into consideration). Room had a fridge though, so it was easy enough to buy beers in town and store them in our room. A scooter is useful for easy and convenient transportation to Labuan Bajo (5-10 minutes drive away), although the hotel does offer a free transfer to town and the airport which was useful on the final morning. Pool area and loungers are lovely, the beach is deserted with great sunset views. The hotel complex is kept clean and the beach appeared clean too although we didn't swim in the ocean (no need because there is a pool). Wifi signal was very unreliable throughout the resort although this could be a local area problem rather than specific to the hotel. Overall our room was high quality and excellent value, but best eat and drink in town to avoid paying the very high menu prices.

We initially booked for 3 nights but extended to 4. After making a mistake on our second booking Kadek kindly helped us to fix. Kadek is an asset to the hotel. Her kind and friendly smile and help made it a haven for us to return to after big days trekking or snorkeling. The location is so central to the heart of Labuan Bajo to go downtown and enjoy the freshest fish or squid for dinner. The air conditioning is the best we have experienced in Indonesia. The area is quiet and peaceful. The hotel is so clean and tidy. All other staff are also ready to share a smile and offer help. Kadek also arranged airport transfers for us to leave Labuan Bajo. I highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast was always wonderful. One morning we had an early start and Kadek organised breakfast in a lunchbox for us to take at 5am. Nothing was too much trouble. The only downside is that the wifi is very weak in the rooms and even on the balcony.
