All the staff was extremely friendly, warm and efficient. My check in and check out was super duper fast. Best ever encountered in my entire life. The facility was superb and location was perfect. I love IBIS Cambridge and eventhough it’s simple with basic facilities, it’s the best experience I had compared to other more renowned hotels. Kudos to the IBIS Cambridge staff and management. Keep up the good work. You’re the best.

The Hilton is the perfect Hotel for a break in Cambridge. It's location is central to everything. We were greeted with a warm welcome and asked what was the reason for our visit. When we told the receptionist it was our Wedding anniversary she upgraded us and sent a lovely bottle of red Wine up to our room. Our room was immaculate and spacious. The Hilton's prime location for exploring. It's literally located in a quiet street just around the corner from all the hubbub of the main shopping streets and river Cam. The hotel has a fantastic bar area and although a Wedding was taking place on our first night it didn't interfere with our stay at all. The Hotel is so spacious, airy and light. The breakfasts on offer has something for everyone too from Eggs Benedict, full English, to a good selection of fresh fruits and Muesli. I am wheat intolerant and was impressed that they had a gluten free selection too. The staff were helpful and friendly. The Hotel has lifts and escalators for those who cannot do the stairs. Even though the fitness room was closed due to refurbishment I have absolutely no complaints at all. It was the perfect Hotel stay and can highly recommend.

I traveled with a group of 2, and resided in a Family Room. We had made a prior request for early check-in (because of our flight arrival in the morning) as well as a request for a room on the lower floor. We were aware that the requests could not be guaranteed. However, very much to our surprise, the Staff at Arundel accommodated our requests and allowed us to check-in at about 10 in the morning and gave us a lovely room on the lower floor at the reception level. The room (No. 108) was very clean and neat, and importantly, comfortable - just like a home away from home, and the Staff was warm and friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. We have nothing but praise for Arundel and will certainly recommend Arundel to those traveling to Cambridge, London. On my part, I will surely return to Arundel whenever I visit Cambridge. Arundel - A 5 Star Hotel with a 5 Star Staff !!! Best Regards to Arundel !

I did initially have difficulty finding the hotel. I came over from France and rely on my satnav to get me to my destinations. Due to an incorrect postcode it didn't show up on the list of possible hotels but once I had found it, it was easy to drive back to. A605/A1m junction. In comparison with hotels of the same level and value it stood out as a good choice and I will certainly use your hotel group again when visiting the UK. The staff were friendly, had time to chat and make the customers feel at home even at 3.30 in the morning when I left. Did it for me guys and gals. Thanks for a good experience. Phil

When my husband and I arrived here, they told us that they had no booking from us and that the hotel was full... My husband rang the company Agoda and told them what was going on, after speaking to the company, the hotel got a phone call, then 5 minutes later they said to us that the booking was 'right under their nose' and they didn't see it before.... We'd booked a standard queen room, it was two single beds pushed together. The room was comfortable, however there was mould on the bathroom roof. The room was warm, had a lovely view outside and was in a good location. Overall, the staff performance was lacking, good low budget accommodation if it's just place where you base yourself and travel from there.

I was a lone traveller, although I met a friend staying at the hotel. I was given a warm welcome on my arrival and although I arrived early hoping to leave my luggage I was told that if I waited just a half an hour my room would be ready. My friend and I had coffee and as promised within the stated time I was able to check in. This helped a great deal with my arrangements for the rest of the day. I was impressed by polite and helpful attitude of all staff and found the hotel to be of value for money. I would certainly stay there again.

Whilst I agree that the hotel has a lovely outlook, is clean with friendly staff and has very good facilities, our whole experience was marred by, after booking with Agodo, for a very good rate, we were given a tiny room almost attic like.at the furthest part of the hotel. There was only room for a double bed in the room, the window was tiny and had a broken blind and the heat was overwhelming. Opening the window didnt help and only let in the noise of a nearby highway. The carpet near to the bathroom area was also soggy but no sign of water coming from the bathroom. We did speak to reception but hotel was full apparently. It seemed that as we had paid a discounted rate via Agoda we got the least appealing room, dedpite it not being a last minute booking either. Finally there was only 1 set of towels in the room possibly siggesting we had been stuffed into a single travellers room. We checked next morning instead of the 2 nights we had booked. It was a shame as hotel did seem nice.

We have had a fair amount of experience on what to expect from Hotels and I thought the price was quite high for the location when I booked, but then again there really are not that many 4 Star UK hotels that have Gym, Pool & Spas, so as I had settled for Cambridge for this two days of activities, Quy Mill Hotel also had good reviews, so I booked (pay at hotel with Agoda!). Closer examination of the pictures and on arrival, second impressions were (first was great, a long winding private road leading to the Hotel!) oh no, wooden buildings, going to be small and drafty! We parked in a huge FREE landscaped car park (shouldn't they always be free outside the city? you will be amazed at how many put you off with this extra charge!) and took a brief stroll to reception. That was very nice, bright and modern with lots of awards pasted on the walls, immediate attention, warm friendly staff, nice and brief and off we went to the first of the outbuildings with our key and were delighted to find a thick walled, modern, bright warm room. Ensuite was great, TV, Great bed, room small but very cosy. Little touches were what you got for your little extra money. Changed, straight into the next outbuilding 10 steps away, offered clean towels, large changing room and off we went to the upstairs Gym that was surprisingly very large and well equipped. An hour later, another change and greeted by a large, modern, warm and bright swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Steam Room, sun loungers, sun room, shower and Sauna, the facilities were really excellent, clean, first class. After hours of pampering ourselves, out for Dinner and back to the bar for Sky Sports and a cocktail. All the staff were excellent (usually always find one, but honestly, all were great), the breakfast and all food choices you can tell have been given great care, great quality and cooked to perfection, staff are really well trained, and another unusual thing was the trust and personal space you were given, never both

* The big shock when you arrive at the Ashley Hotel is that THERE IS NO RECEPTION - you have to walk 10 minutes to the Arundel Hotel to check in! Then if you have a problem (eg a room key doesn't work), someone has to travel from the Arundel to help you. I eventually found this information in the 'small print' section of the booking information. Surely this essential information about reception should be highlighted on the main page of the booking information, so you know that you need to drive first to the Arundel to get your key. * The weather was warm, and there was no way to keep the room cool - a fan would have been very useful. * There is no shelf in the shower for toiletries. In spite of these problems, we enjoyed our stay. * The location is good - only 10 minutes walk to the city centre, and it's wonderful having free parking. * The evening meals at the sister hotel, the Arundel, are excellent. * The full cooked breakfasts in the Ashley are good. * The staff at the Ashley and Arundel hotels are very helpful and efficient.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. It is easy to get to and we nabbed one of the few parking spaces immediately - it would be hard to get a local parking spot otherwise . The location is excellent for a visit to almost anywhere in Cambridge. We hired bikes from the cycle shop next door £10 per day after a small degree of haggling. The small niggles are Our room was very small but comfortable. The weather became warm and the absence of airconditioning in the room was potentially an issue. The shower is definitely not a power shower as the water pressure is low on the second floor. Breakfast was good. You should visit the botanical gardens (£5 each unless a student when it is free) and the Fitzwilliam Museum (free) both of which are within 300 metres of the hotel. We did not use the Spa or the small hotel bar. Lots of decent restaurants within half a mile. It is excellent value for a short break. We would use it again

I loved the whole stay. I had a marvelous superior room with a rain shower and a Victorian bath in the bedroom with lovely products supplied. The library room is decorated and themed so well providing an academic atmosphere so suited to the proximity of the Cambridge colleges. Stayed for New Year's Eve together with a friend and the food was superb. Had tender Venison with a lovely sauce and ordered the good very dry house champagne to toast in the New Year. A definite place to stay at least once

I came to stay with a friend. Our room was beautiful, with a balcony overlooking the gardens. We paid extra for this but it was worth it. The spa, classes and treatment were fine - busy in the day, but we used the spa facilities in the evening, when it was quiet and blissful. We booked the secret retreat, it wasn't as special as I would have liked. The food at the restaurant was delicious, particularly if you ordered the Italian options, and the bar was pleasant. The whole place spacious and light, surrounded by beautiful cultivated gardens. What made the Lifehouse extraordinary and different were the gardens, acres of paradisical lakes, with waterlilies and ducks. Ancient trees and beautiful walks. These wonderful grounds were quiet, and changed the whole experience beyond a reasonable spa in a nice building, into a blissful retreat. I would go back especially in Spring when there are bluebell woods, and Autumn.

While this place was clean and central, I had a very mixed experience with the staff. Some of the members (Alberto, the male barista, the cleaning staff) were kind and lovely, but some of the other members were sort of cold and corporate. After checking in in the evening, I requested a bed in a different room because the lockers (fewer than there were beds, for the record) were all being used. When I made this request, I was coldly told that there were no other beds, and that I could pay to keep my valuables in the common lockers. I sensed that the manager was being dishonest, and went online to see if I could still book a bed, or if they were, in fact, sold out. Sure enough, virtually all of the room options, including mine, were still open and available to book. Why this woman lied to me is beyond me. I hadn't used the bed, nor was I requesting an upgrade. This experience, along with a few other interactions with sort of condescending employees, really colored my stay here.

Our room was on the ground floor. As soon as we opened the fire door to go down the corridor it smelled like a damp basement. Unfortunately this smell was also in our room. The room was unbearably hot, we turned off the heater and opened the window, but as it was a fairly mild evening there was no relief of cold draught into the room. We had to shut the window to go to bed and we had a terrible night sleep. This is such a shame because I was pleasantly surprised with how clean the room was, excellent value for money if it hadn't been so stifling and smelly. Will not risk staying there again.

We booked this hotel as myself partner and little boy were visiting friends.. the outside of the hotel doesnt look very special and quite budget hotel but inside looks like a bespoke 5☆ hotel, really impressed with the quality of service and facilities for a budget/mid priced hotel.. there was a wedding on but our room has in a quiet zone and we didnt hear any noise... little boy was poorly over night staff were amazing offered complimentary drink sheets..overall very impressed we are staying in leeds tonight and noticed there is a novotel hotel my stay has made me more likely to book at a novotel hotel in the future :-D

We stayed there for just one night and had requested a quiet, airy, non-smoking room with lots of natural light. The room we were given on the first floor of the original building ticked boxes 2,3 and 4, but the noise from a bouncy castle generator was very intrusive. At about 2pm very loud music started up from a speaker on the terrace about 4 yeards from our room. Time to move! Our next room on the second floor of the new wing ticked box 1, but was stuffy with lingering tobacco fumes and only a small window that could only be opened about 4 inches. Third time we hit lucky, on the first floor of the new wing - a larger window that could be properly opened and no residual tobacco smoke. The staff did help us resolve the problem, but a little more attention to our booking request would have been nice.

Stayed here only 1 night. Room was excellent - huge in fact with a two seater sofa. Great to not have to sit on the bed to relax at the end of a day to watch to to unwind. Onsite parking if bays available for £7 per 24 hours. Full English and continental breakfast available for £10 per person. Toilet is separate from the bathroom which has good deep bath and in bath shower. Mini bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, in room safe, hair dryer, iron and ironing board all in room. Staff on duty when we checked in charged us again for our room even though we prepaid via Agoda. Said she didn't have our booking and there was nothing she could do until her supervisor was in the next morning. All was sorted even before we checked out.

Our venue didn’t have accommodation so we are thrilled we got an e executive double room at a reduced price, staff were very friendly and hotel is just beautiful. Lovely large room was very clean, comfortable bed and they had put rose petals on the bed to welcome us to our room which was a lovely touch to make it more than just s normal room. Breakfast was delicious, cooked lovely and nice and hot, lots of other choice to. Would highly recommend.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions and have never beed disappointed.The staff are brilliant. The cleanliness of the rooms is faultless and amenities offered very good. If one is looking for the ultra modern then this is not for you, however a quiet country break on the river Stour in an old market town offering character, service and hospitality is what this experience is all about and this hotel works hard to be at the top of it's game. Brilliant!

Comfy beds, clean room, multiple jacuzzis and pools to choose from, relaxation rooms and a laconium which i’d never been in before and we’ll worth a try. Dinner options were varied and breakfast was a good European affair. Bela the waiter stood out as being a fantastic member of staff within the dining team and the hotel as a whole, he was polite and attentive and stood out from the rest for making us feel welcome. Service in the terrace cafe was slow and the lack of menu was frustrating - so well worth improving this area. Otherwise we had a fantastic stay and will be back next year!

This is quite a nice hotel with comfortable modern furnishings but is a considerable distance from the centre of Cambridge and there is very little in the immediate area around the hotel of interest. Breakfast was included but only basic and we had to wait at least 15 minutes before anyone gave us our coffee which was the only thing we had brought to the table as everything else was self serve. We were affected by some very warm weather for which the hotel, like much of England, is unprepared. Our upstairs room was too hot to have a comfortable sleep as it was cooled only by a desk fan. Fire doors in the corridor had to stay closed which which made it hotter inside than out. I didn't think this was good enough considering the cost of the room. A doownstairs room may have been better
