I booked two nights at Laaroussa after just 10 minutes of hotel research for Fez because of its glowing reviews. No regrets! And I shall add another. Friendly staff Rajae, Karim, Anwar and Mr Porter - they were ever so helpful. Fatima, the chef - oh my, best meal I had in Morocco for sure. I don’t like lamb and I finished every bit of her lamb tagine. The riad is gorge...

Noordien welcomed us so warmly and maintained the friendly, helpful and professional service throughout. Thank you again Noordien. The setting was quite breath-taking....the fountain, plants and trees in the courtyard as well as the beautiful authentic decor created a typical Moroccan experience for us. The breakfast was substantial and delicious. Thank you to the k...

The hotel for the price is good, nothing luxury but a comfortable bed to sleep in a clean room with tv and light breakfast is served (nothing fancy, but it does the job for a start to the morning)....hot eggs on request, bread, tea/coffee, yogurt, juice........cutlery is normally limited and refreshed every few minutes. I thought booking with Agoda meant everything is...

Our stay was superb in a hotel converted from a palace. The most wonderful moment was being hosted by the owner, Mr Driss & his family, during our last night. The famous Moroccan hospitality was displayed by all the staff in their service in every room in the hotel. The breakfasts were excellent, diverse range of foods. Our dinner on the terrace was divine. The signa...

I arrived late at Fez, so this hotel is very practical as it's situated besides the main train station (in new town area). However if you're looking for authentic Morocco experience, you have to try riad. although, from this hotel, u can take a taxi (20dh) to old town, in 15min. Still, most convenient place to stay if you're looking for short stay and using the tr...

this hotel is absolutely amazing, nice bed, clean bathroom, hot water shower, air con, hair dryer are all great. Restaurant is great with local food. Helpful staff, very polite. not to mention very well decorated. easy to get to medina, excellent location.

We loved everything about this place. Our room was beautiful, the water was hot, the air conditioning worked very well. The staff was friendly we had so much fun with them. The pool was clean and refreshing, unlike other hotels we stayed at in Morocco. Breakfast was delicious, traditional with pancakes fruit honey toast. The view from the roof was lovely. I would reco...

We've chose this Riad as is our first holiday in Morocco so me and my partner want to enjoy the moroccan experience and I'm so glad we did. It is down on a quiet little street and is beautiful inside and has a lovely roof terrace. We stayed 2 nights and Mbarack couldn't have been more helpful. He is speaking excellent English(and many more:Italian,Spanish and many more...

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed, it is absolutely beautiful everywhere you look. The staff are helpful, extremely kind and make you feel relaxed and as if it is your home. The food was by far the best food we tried in Fes, we were lucky enough to meet and dine with the owners who were very welcoming, shared incredible stories, gave lots of help and ad...

Pros are location and there is a restaurant on site a gym and an outdoor pool and bar. The bed and room were comfortable. The restaurant had nice decor as did the lobby area. Cons are despite being 4 star spa staff cannot speak English properly; lifts are really slow; there are no irons available and staff are entirely unapologetic about this; food was not particularl...

It is really close to everything in the Medina. It is obvious that if you are going to stay in the Medina you have to walk a little bit from your taxi to the hotel through the Zoaks about 200 meters. The hotel has a services to help you with your luggage from the main street (taxi delivery) to the hotel (don't panic is really close and the hotel worths every euro)

Near the Blue Gate, just 1 minute from the entrance to the medina. The hotel staff is very kind and nice ,the service is very awesome and the breakfast is very intimate. Very satisfied with staying at this hotel. Everything all the best this hotel.

The place is bautiful and clean. Location is good, around 10 minutes walk to the Blue Gate (with budget restaurants) and taxis and stop right in front of the hotel. The staff and the owner/manager, which is the best part of our stay, gave us a map and introduced us to the Medina. They also recommended and arranged Hammam massage, local tour guide, and a dinner for us w...

This hotel is near Médina and it’s easy to find it. Sana and Hasna, they are staffs there, have amazing hospitality! Rooms are clean, shower is good enough even in winter. And we can get welcome tea and good breakfast! Actually I really like it. When I come back to Morocco, I’ll definitely stay here again!

Riad Le Calife was our FAVORITE riad in our 10 day trip through Morocco. The attention to detail and the design of the hotel was amazing! We loved the owner, Fatima - this riad truly seems to be a labor of love! The location is ideal - a great place to return to after the craziness of Fes. All of the staff is very helpful. We stayed in the Amethyst room, and loved...

I can't express how much we enjoyed the Riad Anata. The place is of course extremely beautiful and done well but I must praise especially the team who looked after us. Mustafa and Samira were incredibly gracious, accommodating and all around lovely people. I travel all the time for work and rarely have I experienced so charming hospitality. We were made to feel like f...

Very friendly staff who helped organised an excursion for us (though do try and haggle as they make commission) to Merzuga and the Sahara which was amazing. Very close to fez blue gate and allows you to explore the medina, the room had air conditioning which was great. Overall 4/5

The hostel is in the medina and you can access to any attracting spots quite soon. The hostel is simple and good place for taking a rest without special facilities, but it is very awesome for this price. The thing is it costs you only this price, and you will find the place is comfortable and warm, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Also, the Moroccan breakfa...

We had a very nice stay at Dar Naima. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price was excellent value. Although there are not many frills, the room was very nicely decorated with a great Berber carpet and had an incredible view over the Fes medina. Breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts, with a hot tajine of fried eggs accompanying some traditional Moro...

Staff were very friendly. Communication was good. I arranged a ride to and from airport. It’s close to many things and easy to navigate Medina with map or google maps on phone. Neighborhood seemed safe enough, and it’s not far from good food! Breakfast comes with the booking! When walking Médina, I suggest keeping to yourself, and learn to say la shock run = no thank y...

We stayed at this Dar for 14 nights during the period of the Fes Sacred Music Festival. We chose this Dar (house) for its location and proximity to the festival venues and its good ratings, all well deserved. We found that many dars and riads increase their prices during the festival period however this Dar did not. Our room with ensuite was spacious, very comfortable...

We spent 4 nights here and it was great! Rachid and Fatima are both lovely hosts and Rachid in particular went out of his way to make sure that everything went smoothly for us, including arranging 2 excursions, helping with taxis, finding a restaurant for us and accompanying us around the medina (in the rain!) so that we didn't get too lost. He found a heater for us an...

This is an amazing little Riad and Ahmed and especially Mehdi are very good. They were helpful throughout and were able to take us to local Hammam and within a couple of days we were able to navigate our way around most parts with their help! The Riad is very close to Bab Guissa so taxis nearby to take you to New Fes (McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc) at will and very cheap. ...

After a week of traveling in Morocco and feeling like nothing but a walking wallet, this guest house made us feel better about our time in Morocco. They walked us through a few of the scams, told us where was safe and where was not safe and when. They had an amazing breakfast for us, which was greatly appreciated after a week of every guest house tour group and hotel g...

For a first timer in Morocco, we did not know what to expect. The place was more than we could have asked for. It had renovations done that gave a feel for Morrocan architecture. The staff was great! A bit hard to find, that's the only drawback. Be prepared for quite a walk from the blue gate. Won't mind coming back.

I stayed two nights at Dar Rbab. Finding this place by myself was impossible so i had to ask people and they were really so kind to take me to the riad, twice! (I admit i'm not very good at finding places in Medina). The staff was really helpful and kind, even took me to all the way to Bab Guissa in early morning when i left for Chefchaouen. The room itself is ...

I have to give dar lalla bouchra an excellent review because after many hours of travel from Zagora with my sick husband, my 3 year old and myself expected to arrive in the morning and were hoping to leave our bags at dar lalla before we could check in but we arrived at 0230 in the morning. We knocked on the door waking up everyone and even though the guesthouse was fu...

The manager told me that there was electricity problem with the hotel and I was sent to a hotel nearby with a room without window and it stink. I wasn't happy with it but was told that it was only room available. So I had to take it if that was the best he could do. He was saying that it was just for 1 night but 1 night is 1/3 of my stay already. However, the next day ...

This riad is centrally located in the medina, so it's perfect for wandering around. The owner is always smiling and we were warmly greeted with mint tea. The room/bathroom we had were spacious and clean. The roof terrace is really nice for sitting, reading, etc. Very much recommended for couples or friends as there weren't top many solo travellers I think.. they help y...

Hotel Tomboukto is conveniently located just outside the Medina and is near the tanneries. Since the hotel not in the Medina, it's easy to find and there's no need to go through the Medina's winding alleys to reach it. I liked that it's accessible by taxi, which is very convenient when you're lugging around a big and heavy backpack. The room was nice and airy, and ...

The staff took me to another riad from the same owner called Riad El Pacha which is located near the car park. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good and is served by the staff with bread, juice, jam, and coffee. Yet the wifi connection in my room is not quite working.

wonderful place to stay for few days. Very clean and well kept RIAD , the owner is very fine Lady , very very huble and supportive and welcoming. Great price for such a wonderful time and at such a beautiful place. Recommend to all who looks for best places.

First and foremost, I would definitely recommend staying in a Riad over a hotel when in Morocco. It's such an experience and it's such a unique atmosphere! This hotel was easy to find only because we had a taxi driver who was familiar with the area that this hotel was in. It is right outside Fez's Medina and kind of tucked away. When the taxi driver got there, someone ...

When you come inside you find yourself in a very charming place: nice design, nice architecture. Rooms are ok, staff friendly, breakfast (everyday the same) ok, View from the terrace very nice. And one thing abut the terrace: the riad is tall and maybe little on the elevation, so during sunsets on the terrace was windy :)

It's a very good Hotel, it's So Clean, the rooms are so big, the staff are lovely, they try to please us as much as they can. If when we extend the room for two more nights, they let us keep the room before they receive the new amend. I Recommend it to any traveller to Fez, I consider it the best Hotel in Fez, with a great Location.

The hotel is a bit old and they should renovate it. The breakfast they served is very poor in respect to the stars they declare. They provide snacks, corn flakes, bread, tea/coffee, scrambled egg and only one juice. No fruits or even no chicken and meat, no vegetables. We are really disappointed. But the stuffs are very friendly and cooperative. They are very amicable...

I wish I could recommend this Riad. Unfortunately, none of the details have been worked out. Having staying in much cheaper Riads for the previous 2 weeks, we decided expected more. The place is obviously not busy, and this may be part of the problem. Bathroom floor was covered in long black hair upon arrival. Asked them to clean it again, but they didn't do a good job,...

It was not full on the day we stayed yet they gave us a corner room with no windows. Also they misled us that we had paid for breakfast but charged us at check-out. Other than that, the location was good, very easy to walk to the medina and up to the hill for sunset. You can also walk to the bus station where you can catch a bus to Chefchaouen.

We love staying in riad more than in a hotel and it's especially a great experience to stay in Dar Anebar as it was once a house of a local family and now renovated to a lovely riad. From the photographs and the introduction by the manager, we could feel that this house is an heritage. It might not have fancy decoration, but it's clean and uniquely furnished, with some...
