Friuli-Venezia Giulia hotels & accommodations

I was travelling across Europe by motorcycle and only needed an overnight stop. I used one of the few parking bays right outside the hotel door but there is another car park under the building if you're worried about vehicle security. Clean room with private shower facilities and free wifi which was all I needed. Breakfast is the usual affair of meat and cheese, cereal...

This hotel us well situated close to public car parking which is reasonably priced. A tip is to make sure you get a room facing the street as the first night we had a smaller room facing the back. We had to move as it was too small and the room did not get enough natural light. Breakfast good and staff outstanding.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms are spacious and very nice. The city is beautiful and the hotel has a great location. The parking garage is a walk from the hotel and difficult to maneuver .

Except for the reception staff being a little abrupt which is not surprising, given that this is Italy, the hotel ticks all the boxes. Location, cleanliness, big room, breakfast, parking. A little old from the outside but don’t judge this book by it’s cover. Don’t depend on the WiFi.

On arrival we knew had chosen the right place to stay. Everything was of the highest standard with a warm family feeling that made us feel like a home away from a home. 90% plus were Austrian or German returning guests but this was no problem for us English only speaking guests. In our opinion this hotel was faultless.

we stumbled upon this hotel by chance. lucky for us. the hotel is maximum five minutes from the railway station and in the city center. yet providing a very good nights sleep located as it is on a small back street. excellent beds add to this. other furniture have sober yet exciting design. we stayed one night on way out and booked a room for return journey while still...

A quaint and beautiful agriturismo 10 minutes away from Udine. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and the food is unbelievable. We had a 4-course dinner (extremely reasonable priced) and the included breakfast, both which were great, and all with local food and local specialties. The rooms look over lavender fields, it's very picturesque. Only negative was our room sm...

It was lucky to stay in this hotel. All of the staffs i met is so nice and warm and breakfast is nice. I'm gonna stay in here next time i go to Trieste!

This is really a generous room with private bathroom in a shared apartment. You do have access to the kitchen and breakfast is excellent. The house is in a beautiful garden and the bikes are in excellent condition. but no lights so walk out for dinner. A decent walk from the station.

the hotel room was up to a standard, although we have booked a room with balcony we ddnt have one. other than that the hotel staff was very nice and helpfull, spoke good english and had all the info we needed. there is enough restaurants and bars around the hotel, but its quite far from the city centre

...ok Hotel-Apartment, but.. we booked a 2BR appartment for a overnight stay so that our kids could share and my wife and me can share a room. When arrived it turned out that on BR was just a single-bed and the 2nd BR had 3 beds inside.... and no international TV

Trieste has some hazards and at breakfast there was a lady hotel creeper, as there had been elsewhere in Italy, but the food was excellent, the location was in a funky multicultural inexpensive shopping district, the rooms were quiet, everything was sturdy and historic and secure. I was so happy to be out of Italy and in Trieste for a couple of days, I extended my stay...

Very central position far from loudness and traffic; just a few minutes walking distance from main turistic sites as Piazza Unità and San Giusto Castle. Very good breakfast with choice of sweet and sour buffet. Courtesy and professional staff. Confortable rooms with big bathrooms; hanged at the wall hairdryer need to be changed with normal ones. The rooms and common a...

After spending a few weeks in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and experiencing great hospitality, we arrived at this hotel and were not greeted at all. Just told "passports"! We obediently handed over our identity cards and then went to our room. Same can be said of the restaurant staff, unfriendly, unwelcoming. The room was ok. Small shower with little pressure...

We arrived here for a lovely night in Trieste. On arrival we could not find the hotel and a lady arrived on the street telling me that they had overbooked and suites la saline had booked us a room in another hotel of similair or better standards. The concierge at this "better" hotel proceeded to take us to again a different place on the other side of the street which w...

Big room with a small kitchen, though I'd never used it. Clean and tidy. Nice location with short walk to the historical center of the city. Breakfast was simple. But coffee was great with variety of choices served with breakfast. All staff were so nice and friendly.
Cheap places to stay in Friuli-Venezia Giulia

The courtesy of the manager was exemplary and deserves SIX stars. The room was large and well appointed. The building is located in ancient Trieste and is very old. The floors creak, the hot water sometimes gets hot, the lift is not for the faint of heart, et cetera. I tried to stay a few more nights, but they were fully booked.

Giulia the owner is so wonderful and will go out of her way to help you. She makes it worth the stay alone. The rooms are large and clean and bathrooms are a good size too. I stayed here by chance as my bus was delayed but I'm so glad I got to. It was a wonderful stay there.

price-efficient. The host was kind. I had to push the ringbell several times to call the host to open the gate before I can access the hotel as the hotel was located on the 3rd floor of the whole building. The hotel is very near from the train station and bus station(the train station and bus station are next to each other)

On arrival, we found the Lataria to be closed. Fortunately a kind lady led us to the other facility, the Gelindo, where the office/reception is for both places. We were told we could stay at the Gelindo with the same comfort. As the Lataria's restaurant would be closed for the two days of our stay, this was a fine offer. Both the room and the restaurant are very fine a...

The hotel was initially difficult to locate but one found was iseal. The staff (Anna) was extremely friendly and could not do enough. The family as wellas running the hotel ran a restaurant bar literally across the road. One two evenings the chef and his wife cooked us a 'local' 5/ course meal off menu and very much to order for a very reasonable price. One downpoint....

this was my first time in trieste and this hotel was a happy choice - good location to be able to walk to all that trieste has to offer. it was a little more expensive than i prefer to pay (about 120 euro per night) but very comfortable. room a little compact but bathroom was adversely larger. i would stay here again.

This hotel is way too expensive for what it offers. It is old, very badly maintaned, with no direct access to the beach. You need to walk 4oo meters to the beach. At the crappy swimming pool the bar refuses to give you coffee even before closing time. I have seen much better breakfast at 2 star hotels and I can't understand why this is not rated as a 2 star hotel. I he...

We arrived with another party and checked into our rooms. Our room smelled of mildew, very small and the AC was not working. So i went down to the front desk and a lady with dark hair pinned up said there is nothing we can do. So i went back upstairs and i saw that my 1 year old was sweating. I said a prayer and went back downstairs this is my 3 time now. And again she...

the HOTEL is not renovated in years, you can clearly see that everything is already damaged (blanked with whole, furniture with many scratches, bathroom - disgusting). the BREAKFAST offers convenient scrambled eggs - NO go! the rest is not of high quality and the range of products is very small! the PARKING is NOT for free, although if you read the add and check the ...

We loved our stay in a beautiful Junior Suite. The Metropole is located in the best possible area of Grafo with view on the Marina, the service was excellent and the hotel was - although not entitely modern - in very good and clean condition. We would always go there again.

This place is by far one of the best places I stood at. Beautifully located between the wine plants and very nicely decorated. The breakfast was outstandingly good! The offered foods and beverages are from highest quality. And the Host, Dino, does a perfect Job. From welcoming to giving Tips what to do and where to eat and being very attentive. Grazie Mille to the ...

Luxury hotels in Friuli-Venezia Giulia

A really comfortable stay - though the room was just a shade small. Great bed, responsive staff - and while the menu at Harry's Grill is not huge the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. And its a great place to watch people on the Piazza Unita d'Italia.
