Where to stay in Fukuoka Prefecture
Fukuoka Prefecture hotels & accommodations

My stay at Best Western Fukuoka Nakasu Inn was very great since the hotel location is really strategic ., close to subway station, many restaurant, convenient store and also walk to Tenjin (shopping arcade) about 15-20 minutes., if you love to explore nightlife in Fukuoka ., Nakasu area is one of the best area to see that. Friendly and helpful staff ., they are willing...

We only had a short stay at hotel nikko fukuoka. It was a nice stay. Good size room, comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and nice. In front of the hotel is a bus stop. Convience stores are just a couple steps away. Only 5 mins walk from hakata station. Best hotel in fukuoka. We will defenitely stay again at this hotel.

From Gion train station, take exit 6 to take lift if you have heavy luggage. Its more convenient to take bus from international airport to Fukuoka bus terminal/station rather than taking shuttle bus to domestic terminal & transfer to metro. The public bus service at hotel door step is very convenient to go Fukuoka bus terminal/train station, only 5 -10mins. Saves the h...

I stayed or 5nights in May this year; making Fukuoka as my base to surrounding cities. As I had previously looked up the place on Google map; I somehow managed to find the place from the Hakata Station. Hotel was nice and clean; as usual and room was reasonable as I chose the twin room bedroom. Breakfast area was a bit squeeze; as place is small and with many guests; y...

It is a new building and great location, the room is a standard size same as another hotel in Japan. The staff on day shift don't have much smiling, but it is still ok. We can't park our bike in front of the hotel, that makes our trip very inconvenienced. Riding bike is very common in Fukuoka, they should have a place for parking. Nearly the hotel, has many good places...

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Rooms are on the larger range of Japanese hotel rooms and as large as many rooms in Waikiki yet small by American standards. However, what you get is all clean, neat and comfortable. I am a light sleeper so I worried about a hotel in Fukuoka (a beautiful city, by the way. However, the bed and sheets/comforter were good q...

I absolutely loved my 6 nights stay in a double room in montan. This place is awesome and you are made to feel right at home the moment you step into the hostel. Staff are very friendly, helpful & best of all they speak English. Very conveniently located - about 450m walk to Higashie-hie subway stn. It's only 1 stop on the subway to Fukuoka Airport. It is about 1k...

I stayed for 5 nights. The hotel is 2min walk from East Exit 6 of Hakata station, which makes this hotel's location very convenient, as I was doing some day trips from Fukuoka to other parts of Kyushu. The room size was comfortable enough for me. There is 24 hours free coffee and lemon water. The breakfast was delicious and light - choice of juices, coffee, bread and ...

If want to be in the Fukuoka nightlife/foodie scene, great location. ~10+ minute walk to Kuko/Orange/Airport subway line. Staff is friendly and hotel feels modern. Rooms are typical-big-Japan-city size (snug/small), but clean and minimal; though, there was some noice "leakage" from walls and door.

This hotel was no more than a 10 minute walk from Hakata station which is convenient since Hakata station is essentially the hub for JR trains for Kyushu and the subway for Fukuoka and its airport. Thought the staff was incredibly kind and helpful and cannot thank them enough for their awesome service. I chose to have breakfast included with every day of my stay and ...

1)thank WBF staff and 宮田さん for their great support when my flight is cancelled by weather caused. they still try to satisfy my request even they're busy in check-in from continuous room guests. I believe and felt Japanese/Chinese/Korean staff have a good communication with most foreigners. 2) room is very clear and everything is new because hotel is new open. 3) Locati...

I will def stay here again if i visit fukuoka again. The room was small just like other Japanese hotels but it was so clean and the staffs were nice and good in English. I didnt get to have chance to have breakfast but they smelled good. The room were cleaned everyday and amenities were renewed everyday as well. I dont know if there were no people staying on the same f...

I am a female solo traveler exploring Fukuoka and the hotel was in a nice location, close to convenient stores and restaurants. It was really safe and the staff did their best trying to understand me. The tricky part was getting off the subway and from Exit 4 (Tenjin Station), turning into this little alleyway to see the hotel beyond. I made a huge block turn thinkin...

I would say Forza Hotel is THE hotel to stay for a Fukuoka or North Kyushu trip. It's just 1 min walk from the Hakata JR station, having 2 Family Marts right next to the hotel, with the bus terminal just less than 5 min walk, plus you can shop and dine till late at the JR Hakata City just next door. That's so convenient for everything, what else you would ask for more?...

I traveled alone in Japan for sevelral time but this is my first time in kyūsyū. This hotel is really good for me. Location is extremely impress me because it’s in the center of Fukuoka, nere by Hakata staion for5-10mins walk. There are varities of convinient store, drug store and also the restaurent. Moreover, I can walk just a few minute to canel city; the popular de...

Rarely there is a hotel which I would like to go back again, but Nishitetsu Inn Fukuoka will be my first choice if I am going back to Fukuoka again. Situated between Nakasu-kawabata and Tenjin stations, it is very convenient to go to both directions. Also very close to restuarants and stores. Rooms are clean and neat, price is reasonable, staff are friendly and helpful...

Stayed here on our last 2 nights in Fukuoka and we were very impressed with the staff's warm hospitality and the entire customer experience received from this hotel. Location is about a 10 min walk from Hakata station and close to eateries and nearby malls. Room is of decent size and there's a back massager in the room as well! The breakfast spread was acceptable and t...

I was most impressed by every single staff and how attentive and nice they are. Either the hotel’s training is superb, or they hired all genuinely kind people. (Seriously, everyone stops whatever they’re doing to say good morning to you). The hotel’s location is amazing. Beach side, water view, spacious room (even for non-Japanese standard). We paid the same price h...

Our stay was excellent. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and attentive and most could speak English well. The hotel is not close to any subway, but the bus stop is located right at the hotel for easy transportation. It has good views of the Fukuoka Tower or the Fukuoka Yahoo Dome. Within walking distance to the Hawks Town Mall and Fukuoka Tower. Has it's own F...

I stayed here before my flight from Fukuoka Airport. Since the hotel is at the center of Fukuoka I can enjoy my nightlife in Tenjin. From the hotel to the airport take about 30 mins due to the traffic jam about 8.30 am. But if you have time and not a lot of luggages like me you can use the subway.

I like this hotel. Very recommended for all people traveling to Hakata area, Fukuoka. The hotel is very clean, great staff, value for money, a lot of features, breakfast with the Japanese style. Get a room in upper floor, because Hakata area is busiest area and u can hear train coming to the station. A few step to the Hakata station, and you can get plenty of shops and...

The location of this hotel is probably the best in Fukuoka. Connected to the Tenjin station, we arrived from the airport directly on the subway. The hotel is in the most popular shopping area in Fukuoka and there are lots of restaurants around. It is also just next to the Tenjin bus terminal.

This hotel is situated about 15-minutes walking distance from Hakata Station. This hotel offers several good things e.g. good quality of breakfast, calm environment, separate spas (ongseng) for men and woman (if you like it), and fast internet connection. The price of rental room is very acceptable, even cheaper compared to similar hotels in Fukuoka.
Cheap places to stay in Fukuoka Prefecture

Overall is very good. Highly recommended. I'm very impressed with staffs, they are friendly, nice and helpful. The staff help to book a taxi service to pick me up at hostel to the airport in the earlier morning. Even if my friends whom stayed in another hotel where is no receptionist stand by and my friends can't speak both English & Japanese when I asked the staff her...

Pros: 1. Fairly close to Hakozaki station, 10mins walk -the neighborhood is nice so you wouldn't mind walking 2. Host is very responsive 3. Is close to a convenience store - just need to cross a bridge 4. Easy to locate - we arrived 9pm in the neighborhood, you just have to save the location number from the agoda receipt 5. Complete with amenities - shampoo, conditione...

Propose of Stay: JR Travel + Enjoying Tenjin area in Fukuoka Very convenient location to enjoy Tenjin area in Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan. Near Tenjin station- Fukuoka Subway Kuko Line, easy access to FUK int'l airport, many shopping locations, etc. Plus, only JPY 100 is needed to take bus to or from JR Hakata station. Only one thing: mattress was quite too thin. Otherwise...

The location for visiting Fukuoka isn't very good but the price for Fukuoka standards definately makes up for that! Especially if you don't mind a short walk. Never saw the host. All contact was via mail, she offered to do and did our laundry when we were gone though. The accommodation is a little bit hard to find. Make sure you download the mail with description and p...

I have been to different cities staying in a wide variety of hostels in Japan. This hostel is absolutely the best in terms of its cleanliness. I read the reviews and the staff took the advice given by the reviewers on board and purchased two electric kettles. That’s why I was able to enjoy my cup coffee every day. I guess it’d be even better if the hostel provides so...

when i come to here there are not so many customer so it was easy to use toilet and shower room. and laundry machine service was really best. but if there are many visiter, i guess all the service will be little hard to use. ah, it have personal electric fan for each bed of casule. i love that really.

Stayed here for three nights. Owner is extremely responsive, always answering questions within an hour or less, and he messaged me in perfect English. Check in and check out was super easy and we arrived very late at night which he was able to accommodate without a problem. The room itself seems small but is actually bigger than any Japanese hotel room I’ve ever staye...

The location is perfect, walking distance from Tenjin and the nightlife of Fukuoka, nearby bus station and subway connects you to everything else very easily. The cafe and bar downstairs, and the common room upstairs, are a great place to meet other travelers or locals if you are traveling solo. The whole hostel gets cleaned everyday so bathrooms and bedrooms are spot...

I stayed here for a few days while visiting Fukuoka. The rooms are basic but you hlget what you pay for. The lobby makes it feel more expensive than it really is. Felt they could have labeled the location a bit better. The sign was hard to see unless you walk right past it and turn your head. Friendly staff and close to some shopping centers.

If you are visiting Fukuoka for the first time, this location is arguably the best place to be. The area is very cosy surrounded by cafés and bars, and it is very close to the train station. It has similar vibe as to Tokyo's Omotesando area which is very nice. Though it is surrounded by bars, the area is not noisy. The only downfall with this hotel is that it is smalle...

Since this is a hostel, do not expect amenities like hotel. But most hotels in Fukuoka (or Hakata) does not have lots of amenities too. Hana Hostel is an amazing hostel that is located in Kami Kawabata Shopping Arcade, near to Canal City and Nakasu Kawabata Station. During my stay, you can see many other tourists/backpackers went out till (very) late! I stayed in a 8-...

A very stylish hostel located slightly outside the Fukuoka city centre. It’s about 5 min walk to the nearest subway station and from there, you can have easy access to the city centre and airport. It has the basic amenities that you would expect, and cleanliness was well-maintained. The common area is located on the second floor, where there is also the kitchen. Ther...

You can start you Fukuoka odyssey at this cozy place. Decorous lounge at 9F: full of books along with maps marked with recommended restaurants and attractions to visit. They have provided kitchenware so you don't need to bring your own stuff (and you can surely cook over there, if you are saving money for buying souvenirs :D ). Don't worry about the shower rooms, they...

My stay at First Cabin was perfect. The underground train is right under the building of the hotel. There is a supermarket in the same building of the hotel too. Surrounding area is very colorful with bars and restaurants, but it's kind of convenient to me. I love the shared bathroom with an onsen pool. Once get back to the hotel I could enjoy hot bath and relaxed. Def...

This was the first time I have stayed in a guest house. I was not expecting it to be this clean, convenient and friendly. The location is very close to the subway. The mixed room that I stayed in had a total of 8 beds tightly packed into a small area. Each bed had a curtain to provide some privacy, but your experience here will be mostly based on the other guests i...

If you have the top bunk near the window, the curtains around the bed can't be closed properly because of the air conditionner (right above you). The bathroom was not very clean, even when I was the first to use it. It's ok for a couple of nights, but I wouldn't recommend this place for a whole stay in Fukuoka if you plan to stay for a long time (it is quite far from t...

+ve Cleanliness: Relatively clean. The building and guesthouse is not very new but it is kept clean by staff everyday. Baths and showers are clean. Lounge area is cozy and clean. Facilities: Wi Fi in room. Showers are shared only within the dorm itself. Lounge available for cooking and eating. Washing machine for free!!!! Space to dry clothes on the rooftop. There ar...

Location is very good for backpacker around 1 km from Hakata station to far but pretty good street view a lot of convenience store family mart 20 step from hostel, staff speak English very well, in hostel you can cook, take a rest in big living room but have only 1 bath room. if you need to rent bicycle they have 3 units. Bed time is very quite, smooth, individual mult...

This is hands down the best guesthouse I've ever stayed at. The facilities are very clean and modern, with a kind of playful urban style. The beds are roomy, come with their own privacy curtains, and each have their own light and outlets to plug in your devices. The amenities include a large bathing area to soak in if you want. Also, at the front of the guesthouse ...

Guest House Naraya doesn't have it all, but, if you want a clean place to stay for a good price, this is it. This is one of the cheapest guest houses to stay at in Fukuoka, aside from an internet/manga cafe. I stayed at Naraya in august, a very hot and humid month. I slept in the male dorm room on the second floor. So, I can't speak for other rooms on the main fl...

Nice and quiet place. We enjoyed our 5 day stay.in this property. The guy who was in charge, mr. Soc, was very kind and tried his best to communicate to us in English . Will recommend the place to our friends and we hope to stay here again next time we go back to Fukuoka.

stayed with them only for a night since i arrived in Fukuoka 6pm and have to do a half-day trip to Hiroshima on my way to Osaka/Kyoto the next day. The hostel is near the Nakasukawabata Subway Station (direct link to Fukuoka Airport) and just within the roofed shopping street. Rooms are quite small though bed is comfortable enough. they do not have elevator so request ...

I am a single backpacker, my first time visit Fukuoka to try going Japan trip alone. Location:When I booked the hostel, I already knew the location not near the subway, & i accept it. I mainly use the river as the landmark to guide my direction. Once i reached the river, i found it. Moreover, I can see the Canal City easily from there. View: I booked the 4-single bed...

Location was good for me to go parks to see cherryblossoms. But If you visit Fukuoka for other reason like just toursim, I recommend Hakata or Tenjin where are good for transportion. Staffs were open minded and greatly welcomed me ,specially Marie(?) was really kind. She speaks English little. Bedroom was clean and all bed has curtains so I could feel relaxed. Show...

This was a great location while visiting Tenjin & Hakata areas with subway very close by. We are English speakers & it was fairly easy to navigate around and hotel staff were able to communicate with us. Rooms were comfortable with flat entry to bathroom, other Japanese hotels have a huge step up. Hotel also accommodated our group of 3 to a room. Other hotels require...

Excellent hotel that looks a lot more slick than what you pay for. Compared to other Fukuoka hotels, this had a good location, centrally placed between nakasu and tenjin. Rooms were clean with nice enough facilities. Staff were friendly, courteous and unobtrusive. The best part was the frankly lovely roof spa that was open all night and free for guests. Having a soak i...

We were so happy with our stay at the New Otani Hakata. The staff was warm and helpful, and my children were delighted by the bags of goodies they received at check-in. Our room was just big enough for the three beds, but it had everything we needed including a small refrigerator and electric kettle. The location was excellent for getting around on public transportatio...

The location is the main winner. You can explore 2 sides of the city divided by the Naka River. It’s right beside the scenic canal which is right across Canal City in Nakasukawabata area where a lot of shopping and food crawls can be done. The hotel is also walking distance from Tenjin area where there are more poshier shopping and food. ACROS Fukuoka with its cascadin...

caveat: were in the "red light" district here. however, this is a japanese "red light" district, which is to say mostly quirky salaryman-oriented hostess bars, from what i could tell. that means there are plenty of decent (sushi) restaurants & things going on at night. nothing particularly seedy to keep you at bay. the hotel itself is nice. comfortable rooms of a go...

Pros: the best view in the town. And the town itself has a beautiful classic environment that makes it so special. Transportation in train is very close and convenient as well. Cons: all tourist guides and maps are available only in Japanese, then for us were not useful at all. Google search was the only english info-source, however more precise and detailed informati...

We had booked a triple room for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. All hotel staff are professional, well trained and very helpful. The service is one of the best we have ever seen not only in Fukuoka, but also other cities in Japan. There is a 7-11 shop just beside their entrance, it only takes 10-15 minutes to Tenji on foot. We highly recommend i...

I had an issue my room that was severe enough that I had to inform the staff. Upon talking to the staff the director of rooms came to my room and was overly apologetic and wanted to move me to another room. I didn't think it was so bad but wanted them to be aware of the hole in the wall. I was too tired to change rooms so said I could stay. Although the director insist...

Great for us and our three young children (under 4), the cot was free so saved me putting up a travel cot again, the space is big for Japan too. Staff were brilliant, really helpful when we were moving places. The wifi in our room was poor, the swimming pool was extra and expensive, sadly one of the main reasons we booked the hotel, so if that is a big draw make sure t...

We stay here for one week. Superior room. A family of 4 with 2 little kids. Room is nice and homy. Clean. Big beds for twin bed. Toilet is very usable. The breakfaat is special, all tastes good. The executive chef is nice. Friendly and helpful hotel staffs. Memorable stay. And will be back again to stay while in Fukuoka.

Had a great stay here. Used it at my "base" as I traveled around Kyushu for work. Hotel is well presented and has a bit of an "old world" feel, but with new-ish, well maintained facilities. Everything was very clean and looked great. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was great and didn't have any signs of aging, mold or disrepair. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful from ...

Good to stay in a well located hotel like KKR in Fukuoka. Close to bus and underground stations! Behind the hotel, you can have a good access to the famous cake shop called 16-Ku. There you can enjoy one of the best quality cake, sweets and confectionaries which are not available in other cities.

Clean and Spacious rooms, considering other Japan hotels. A bit expensive, but equipped with facilities - laundry, ice maker, Iron, steaming equipment. Restaurant at lobby. TV with a few foreign channels. Overall a good place to stay at a slight premium price.

The place is near hakata station. The place is clean. Very helpful staff. They let us put out baggage before the check in time. The staff is honest, no stolen from our baggage. We literally just give the cleaning staff our baggage while he still cleaning the room. The room near train station so there is sound of train passing by but it is bearable. You mostly tired aft...

Really nice little hotel in the Tenjin area of Fukuoka. Close by to many good restaurants and shopping. Also close to Subway stations and Bus stops. Walking distance to Yetai stands and Canal City. Staff is very helpful and kind. Would stay here again.

I came to Roppokan Ryokan with my mum (we didn’t travel with any children, but the above field doesn’t have the option to choose “Family without children”). We both had amazing time and are very impressed by the friendly staffs, the room and the facilities. I would highly recommended to friends and family.

An excellent Fukuoka city view. Very nice staff provided the best service. Relax & deluxe environment inside hotel including a hot spa. The location was a little bit inconvenience and there were only 2 shuttle buses on weekday. Overall is very good.

This property located approximately 15 to 20 minutes walk from the Hakata station, with many convenient store, bakeries and restaurants along the way. We found it was easier to search for "accord hotel" (located in front of this place) using google maps. About the accomodation, we truly enjoyed our stay here. the staff was friendly and helpful, he teached us how to use ...
