Traveling to Ireland? Find Galway County hotels

The Galway Bay Hotel is a lovely place to stay. Our room was very comfortable and clean, with excellent bedding, towels, and amenities. The free broadband internet and the pool/fitness center were also very nice. Our only complaint was that the people at the front desk were not helpful in that they did not know Galway very well and gave poor advice about driving, parking, recommendations for food or entertainment, shopping, laundry, etc. If the hotel would hire people who knew the area and were helpful, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The other issue is that the hotel is not located close to the city centre and you will be required to either walk a distance or hire an expensive taxi.

Sitting in the Canadian Hot Tub looking out to the Arran Isles accross Galway Bay was a truly memorable experience Sitting in the Restaurant eating a leisurely dinner with an excellent pianist playing all the old favorites. Sitting the the well appointed rooms with views out to the Bay. Responding to all the staff who made sure our stay at the conemara Coast Hotel was the best experience ever. And the best bit - the Agoda Deal Price that made it possible for us to afford the trip.

I have been traveling around Europe for 3 months. This is one of the best hostel in Europe so far (from my experience). I mean over all the best. Friendly staffs and service mind. The room is good size and the kitchen maybe small but it's ok. The location is awesome because it just right at the centre. The restroom is enough The night shift man is so kind to me as i have to leave early morning and i am going to missed my breakfast so he just went to the kitchen and packed me some breakfast.SO kind. because some place they don't care but this is what is hospitality business is all about. Caring, service mind and flexible to make your customers have the best experience with you. Thanks guys.

The room was great! Comfy bed, TV, big bathroom, sofa, coffee table and a tea and coffee station. The hotel was really easy to find, close to the Eyre Square (shopping mall with supermarket etc.) in the heart of Galway, bars and restaurants clos, and so was the main bus terminal, only a 2 min walk away. The staff were very bellicosity booking a day tour to the Cliffs of moher (highly recommend seeing!!) We highly recommend staying here, we will definitely return!! Thank you so much for a comfortable stay!!! =)

Balcony House A and B Galway No one will be giving Balcony House A and B an award for best design or even least offending design. Basic comfort at a very basic price is the best that can be said about these accommodations that are at least located within close proximity to some of Galway’s tourist attractions. Set your sights low and don’t expect anything fancy in the rooms, the cafe or the services and you won’t be disappointed. If you’re wanting anything better than that in this historic city, best go elsewhere.

Inspired by the breathtaking views in the movie "Leap Year" with Amy Adams, I decided to explore the locations in Ireland. I got off the ferry, looked up. And voila! The hotel is right there at the end of the pier. The room wasn't ready when i checked in but that's ok, I expected that since it was before noon. Left my bags at the check in, and walked to the bike rental place. From the hotel as I walked towards the pier, i went to the bike rental to the left "Aram Bike" (apparently though its' the same owner as the 1 to the right). I met the most pleasant and helpful gentleman who gave me the map and told me of the places to visit and the landmarks. Unfortunately the signs were awful (which were acknowledged by quite a few people including locals so i know it's not just me! so ended up exploring many beautiful off-path areas. I did bike over to the Dun Aonghasa stone fort. When I finally checked in, I was very much happy with my room. It's spacious and have the gorgeous view of the pier and the sea. Dinner of fresh local fish was very tasty. The full irish-breakfast that was included was also very good. And the view from the restaurant in the morning was just breathtaking. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay. In case anyone wonders how to get to inishmore. I parked my car at the car park of the ferry terminal at Rossaveel (when you drive in from the main road, the car park is the 1st one on the right). Parking costs euro5 per 24 hours which you pay when you pick up your car. I bought the ferry ticket online, but you can also buy the ticket for the ferry at this car park (Website also provides the ferry's sail times. Google aran island ferries). The ferry sail time was about 45 minutes.

The apartments are in a great location if you are wanting to be in the heart of the city and close to all the action, however; it came with a larger price tag for this location and we had a few issues. It was great to have a secure parking space provided with the rental but navigating the parking garage is not the easiest task. We also had zero hot water and therefore couldn’t shower and washed our hands in cold water. Overall it was an okay stay but might look somewhere else if we were to stay in Galway again.

Was passing through Galway on a driving trip around Ireland and thought it best to stay outside of the CBD area. Found the lovely and charming Lynfield Guesthouse, where I could park my car and easily walk (or catch the bus) into the city proper. Stayed in the very large (three beds) and clean attic room, which was more than enough for me travelling by myself. The owners/family were so friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was also delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I booked this room when I was traveling with my dog because I mistakenly thought it was pet-friendly. It was not, and it was not something the owners did wrong - it was a problem with the booking site. However, the woman who I met with to check me in was rude, aggressive, not helpful, condescending, and only cared about making sure I understood it wasn't their fault. (I found a pet-friendly place outside of town while she was berating me about how bad dogs were.) This was in addition to the fact I called twice to confirm if the place was pet-friendly and no one answered, and I had to wait for 15 minutes outside with all of my luggage because she stepped out. The worst hotel experience of my trip so far.

the apartment is a little old, but it is well equipped and parking is super easy. The location is a little off the city centre, but not unreachable. It is also opposite a nice esplanade for walks or runs. The layout of the apartment is not great with 1 room facing the corridor (so passerby can look in) and the other facing the main road, which is really noisy. The sound from the roads are very loud so you have to close the windows. The check in was easy & uber friendly and with elevator, easy to bring your luggage up.

my stay was great and peoples very helpful and friendly. the rooms are great with the only exception that i like cold room temperature and the room was too warm. my room was just over the kitchen, possible reason for the temperature control issue. if window open, lots of noise coming from the kitchen. i will go back again but will ask for a room further to the front.

The staff was wonderful, was very clean and the design/decor was very cool. For a hostel, it wasn't that noisy either besides hearing your neighbors come home at night, but otherwise it was fine and got quiet again after they settled in. Also a wonderful perk was free breakfast with coffee and tea every morning, they had a great spread!!! My husband and I stayed in a double en-suite studio which was very clean and adorable. Our only word of caution perhaps, is that the room was so small the bathroom was literally right next to the head of the bed and the door to the bathroom doesn't close completely (leaves about an inch of space as it's a sliding door). So, you get REAL up close and personal when your roomie needs to use the toilet. It was actually pretty funny, but if anyone has concerns about that maybe ask the staff ahead of time if there is an en-suite room that's a bit more spread out. Overall we had a wonderful stay!!

i liked the hotel. rooms were well kept and pete the caretaker was nice! stayed here during the ironman galway and it is the perfect location to get your bike down into the transition area. being asian however it was next to an irish bar and there was an unfortunate incident where some old drunk irish people threw some wet tissue at me but other than that, the hotel was great.

The hotel was great value for money. Check-in was quick. The rooms were spacious. The bar is nice for a quite drink. The gym and the pool were of high standard. Great selection for breakfast; a choice of cereals, toast, brown bread, tea, coffee, orange juice, yougarts, fruit, full irish fry-up.... The location is good for sightseeing but if you want to shop the drive into town can take a while with Galway traffic. But you save in the cost so paying for parking isn't so bad. Overall, a good stay and great value with AGODA!!
