Best hotels & accommodations in Gwangju City

I never write reviews but I felt the urge to for this hotel because it was just too good to be true. I usually stay at Ramada Hotel but the price went up in the last couple of years so I decided to try this relatively new hotel and I have to say this hotel was better than a 6 star hotel. So clean and spaciou. I visit Gwangju once a year and this hotel is the choice. Ev...

The room was very spacious, clean, and good restroom. And good service. But if you are not Korean, I recommend you to use google translator. Staffs are not good at English. I didn't use my car at this time but Parking lot is very good(3 of parking lot) This Hotel is located south of Gwangju city. If you don't have a car you" have to" use taxi or local bus. 10~20 min. a...

We greatly enjoyed our time there. It's clientele seemed to us to be mostly national, which was fine: that gave it a far more authentic flavor. Above all, we found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. I can't say enough about them. By the by, Gwangju is a fantastic place to visit, filled with history and culture. This was the center of the Baekje kingdom, and ...

I live in Gwangju, and this is the best valued hotel in the city in my opinion. You can't beat the location, it's 3 minutes from the ACC, and 5 minutes to Dongmyeong-dong, which has a tonne of awesome restaurants and bars. Room itself was small but very comfortable, soft bed, great shower, no complaints other than the futuristic toilet was hard to flush :)

Located only a subway stop from the center of Gwangju. Dorm is spacious and very clean, and the mattress extremely comfy. Bathroom is brand new! Towels and bedding also very nice and new. The owner is friendly and will help you with absolutely anything you need. There is also a coffee shop and a gym available, but I didn't use those facilities so I can;t recommend them...

Great host can speak English n guide you to point of interests, find bus route for you as well. The owner is a young guy who run his guest house by himself from a-z yet manage to cook rice himself for his guest in the morning, making sure his guests have good breakfast of toast eggs cereal milk fruit sausage juice coffee tea etc. All Rooms with ensuit private toilet sh...

The hotel was quite old but room was spacious and clean. The manager was really kind and greeted us everytime he saw us, ready to help if we need anything. They have elevator in the building. Hot water dispenser in the room. 2 min walk to the nearest subway station. Downside was they dont have kitchen/pantry and we need to cook during our stay in gwangju. They said th...

This was my favourite hotel for my entire stay in Korea. Best value for money. The room and toilet is spacious and wheelchair accessible except for a 3 inch kerb at the toilet door but it was still manageable. The bed is heated great for cold season. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Thanks Queen Hotel will definitely stay there again when im visiting Gwangju .

Taxi driver didnt know the hotel so o suggested to tell them Ramada hotel which located just next door. The hotel decoration was old style but luxious and clean. The heater in the room worked well and they provided everything in the room even lotion n hair spray. It tool around 15 mins to walk to metro but the taxi in Gwangju is cheap and friendly. There were clubs, lo...

We stayed at the hotel for one week during the universiade games. Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised to find a clean hotel with a pleasant family run atmosphere. Located to the North west of the city it was within a short taxi ride of the city and other tourist spots (taxi fare typically 10000 won- top tip when returning to hotel ask for Hotel Mida...

that was the 1st time i stayed in a guest house. that was a fresh and great experience for me. the destination is near ktx station and mtr station. we came to gwangju for jekki concert. the bus station was easy to find .And not far away from GwangJu women university. BTW, the facility of the guest house was good .the owner is a nice man and warm guy. we really...

Even though I stay here for only a night, I feel really welcome and feel too bad cause I can’t stay longer. The owner is very kind. He doesn’t speak English but really willing to help you find your way if you wanna go somewhere. The room is quite spacious. They also cook for your breakfast. About the location, it’s exceptional. Located right in front of the Asia Cultur...

Oasita guesthouse is probably the most beautiful guesthouse I have stayed in Korea! Located in the quieter residential area, it is about 5 minutes walk away from the Asia Culture Complex and the subway station. Even a shorter walk away is the cafe street, on the way to the subway. The main shopping street, known as the Myeongdong of Seoul, is around 10 minutes away. ...

This hotel was a perfect place to stay. The location was great—right on the bus and subway lines through Gwangju. There were several good (basic) restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean, with great WiFi, AC, showers, and a free toiletries gift bag. Breakfast was very basic but a surprise as it wasn’t advertised. Espresso coffee on demand. Great value for your money—wou...

After a 10 minute walk from the train station I walked down a dim lit alley to find the guesthouse (don't worry though, this is typical for some places in Korea). After entering the guest house I was pleasantly greeted by the owner who gave me a tour and offer me some hot chocolate. She offered to give me a private room and a free upgrade just because it was available,...

This is a large and old hotel. It's relatively well maintained, but designed for a different time - grand entrances, with a old cars parked in the lobby. The rooms are clean and large, but a little musty. It's at the foot of a large mountain - which is great if you want to go hiking - but not walking distance from the city, though cabs are very cheap (4,000 won should ...

Pedro is such a sweet host who makes a killer breakfast every morning! He was also very friendly and helpful if you have any questions about travelling in gwangju and outside, even providing a travel guide book with directions in the living room. The place was cozy like a house, but during summer when I went, I got many mosquito bites. During down Seasons where there a...

Hostel's manager was really kind. I stayed only one day for a job interview. So i had to wake up very early morning. Also, i don't know where the bus stop and other information. But he told me so kindly. Also this hostel is very clean. If someone find clean accommodation. I recommend this hostel.

I say decent because there was a mix up with my reservation where I had to switch guesthouses for my second night because they hadn't received my booking via Agoda. That was a hassle since I was in Gwangju for such a short time and had to go back and move to another place. That said, the host was kind, spoke English and provided another guesthouse for me to stay in (wh...

The city of gwangju has a lot of options but this place is great because its clean, has breakfast, and he is a nice guy who speaks English to help you out. Location is close to the bus terminal but hard to get to so make sure your taxi driver knows where to go before getting in

Great place, really nice and comfortable. The staff of the hotel is great, they really make my stay, but also my work there much easier, because there is not a lot of people who speak English in Gwangju. So they were there to help every step of the way. And I was staying there for 15 days, during the World Aquatic Championship. The owner of a hotel is a nice lady, alwa...
