Traveling to China? Find Hebei Province hotels

Hotel belongs to hotel chain Hotel located at business centre, floors from 5 to 7. Reception is on 5th floor. On floors 1-4 is shopping mall. Next building is another shopping mall with TESCO. Big choice of cafe. Night club is opposite. Ticket office (including railway) is between entrances to the hotel (only 5Y surcharge). I’ve booked room through Agoda. At reception girls were unable to find reservation (seems this was the first booking from Agoda). After 30 minutes their conversation with back office they proposed me a room and requested deposit in amount of full accommodation. I had booked room for Y including service fee) and I found this room too small for 2 guests for a week. I changed room to bigger one. including service fee). Room equipped with bed 2*1,8; desk; wide windowsill; 3 pegs instead of wardrobe; chair; 2*bedside table; Cattle + 2 caps; mosquitoes fumigator; air condition, LAN cable with free internet; hair drier; Flat TV with Chinese TV; 2*sleepers . Mosquito screens on a windows. Laminated material covers floor. No refrigerator, No deposit box. Towels are changed daily. Iron is under request. 2*0.5l of water, 2 bags of green tea, fumigators slice; shampoo + shower gel are for free. No breakfast. The bed is very tough (very comfortable for me). Cleaning is so-so. I bought sponge with detergent to clean some surfaces. There is a noise from outside from 6AM (car horns). Earplugs are helpful. Bed lining, towels are like new white and without halls. No smelling. Hotel staff is helpful despite the poor English. I recommend using Google Translate. (there is the PC connected to Internet at reception area). Me with wife were booked this hotel to go to a beach for a week and we are fully satisfied with our choice. QinHuanDao is cheaper that Beidahe, Beach opposite Safari (Wildlife) park is more comfortable and cleaner that Beidahe. Probable is better to book hotel

None of the people speak English, so it is horribly hard to communicate. I think this hotel is more for locals (or at least, people that speak Chinese). The staff is very nice, the place is nice (however, there's lots of places that smell like cigarettes, as a non-smoker this is something that I do not appreciate at all). Thankfully my room did not smell at all, thus I have given cleanliness 3 stars.

We booked a family room with a long bed and a single. The room is huge with enough space to host a yoga class. The linen and restroom was clean. The bathroom door could use a little more privacy since it's just a piece of glass with parts in the middle frosted but it's not that big of a deal for us. The only thing missing in the room is a mini fridge where we can store some cold beers. Super close to the beginning of the Great Wall, about a 10-15 yuan taxi ride. It was a pleasant stay.

We read a bunch of reviews before we came here. They said bad food, smelly rooms, mosquitoes, and unfriendly staff... so we expected that. No other choice though, not many places take foreigners. The room we had (3 beds... we have a big family) was actually quite nice, and they upgraded us to a nicer (double room suite) at no cost. Rooms were nice, pretty safe for kids. Staff moved some furniture around for us to put two beds together so our kids could all sleep in one big bed. There was some occasional bathroom drain smell, but not always, and not too bad. No mosquitoes. Staff were super friendly... the hotel manager went and fetched some Band-Aids when she saw our son's knee had taken some scrapes. Thought that was really nice of her. There's a restaurant right on the street the rents property and name from the hotel, but is not associated with the hotel. Food there is "meh." The hotel has its own restaurant it owns though, and food there is not bad. Good hotel!

We did not stay at Jinjiang Inn Shijiazhuang North Shengli Street because according to the staff there, our hotel is actually at Jinjiang Ping'an. We wasted some taxi fare just to locate Jinjiang Inn Shijiazhuang North Shengli Street (which was as stated in the Agoda voucher)and then had to transfer to Jinjiang Ping'an. We had planned to go Cangyan Scenic Area but the run-around and the time taken to clear up the situation made it not possible to visit Cangyan and return on the same day. This was the only hiccup we had on our 18-day trip to China.

Great location, 10 mins walk (exit Station and turn right) from the Rail station. Good hotel, but remember it's a Chinese country hotel. You can expect hard beds, a shower that isn't separate from the toilet (no cubicle or curtain) and a breakfast that you eat with chopsticks. But if you want Chinese prices this place is more than adequate. They won't speak any English. If you've survived the train experience, then you'll be OK with this hotel.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and the location is excellent. WiFi was good. We just walked to the main Imperial Palace entrance. The issues we encountered was that our shower drainage was blocked so the water from the shower area overflowed and flooded the toilet area. Later problem solved when we called and the maintenance staff removed the metal piece in the shower area. The other issue was that early in the morning housekeeping staff were quite noisy chatting with one another at the corridor for both nights that we were there. This disturbed our sleep a little. Other than those all is good and I would recommend you to stay here if your plan is to visit Imperial Palace - the main attraction in Cheng De.

The hotel provided pick up at both terminal 1 and 2, but have to call them first. I used Chinese so I don't know how good their English is. They also provide shuttle to the nearby hi-speed train station. One thing to watch out for is that they may release the reservation on Agoda if it's not paid for already on Agoda. I had to call Agoda to cancel my reservation that wasn't paid for and then rebook on Agoda by paying for it. Then the hotel said they would hold the reservation. Strange! Decent for the price. I came in at 11 pm, and they were still willing to pick me up which was great!

Really enjoyed my three nights at this hotel. The room was as nice as some rooms I've had in other parts of the world for literally 1/10 the cost. Great location within the Wanda Plaza complex. Everything you need within a short walk. I don't speak Chinese save for a few words but the staff was very kind and helpful. But i advise you have your translator app handy if you're not a Chinese speaker. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

this is a very excellent hotel that really meet 5 stars standard, however, i arrange with the hotel to get me a car to beijing, this is the whole problem, the driver whose name is "yan lian" is a total mob, talking on the phone while driving, smoking inside the car, exchange toll ticket to save toll money, and the worst is when reach beijing, he told us the car with the other state plate can't go in beijing town center, we have to get another cab to go in, when we have arguement, this guy is in total ganster mood, so pls don't get the hotel to arrahge the transport for you to avoid this problem, strongly suggest the hotel management to loook into this problem!!!

I used the Agoda app to find this hotel. My thinking was that I would hop onto a proxy server, view the site from outside China, and find a hotel that was capable of providing its services to non-Chinese. I found several rooms that said Chinese only. Then I found this room with no restrictions. We hopped in taxi and made our way to the hotel. At first the front desk tried to flat out refuse us service. Then they tried to say we needed to pay more money. I don't know exactly what was said in Chinese between my wife and the clerk but the argument sounded glorious. Eventually, the clerk relented after calling his boss. Then after having my passport inspected more thoroughly than by a customs agent at the airport we were able to take our room. The room was fine but I wouldn't recommend going to that hotel unless you are a Chinese national.

very courteous hotel staffs whom speaks fluent english greets you at the reception. the check-in was smooth and efficient. you will then be led to your room, you don't have to worry about your luggage as the hotel porter takes care of that for you. upon entering, you will find spacious room with study desk, tea-drinking table, chairs, lcd tv and a nice soft bed. wifi is available free and in a while, they sent in a nice platter of fruits and desserts. what more can you say?

I stayed for 2 nights on business and the hotel was one of the best in SJZ(though old). Check in was quick and swift. Rooms are huge and spacious and most importantly, clean. It's location is convenient and you can find a convenient store just across the hotel and McDonalds is about 3 minutes walk away. For those taking high speed train to other cities, you may purchase train tickets from the hotel(you will need to collect from the station) or you can head to Eaka 365 hotel next door where they will issue the ticket immediately once you purchase it. Front desk staffs are helpful in assisting with directions around the hotel. Booked through Agoda and got a good deal, worth the money paid.

It is located next to the Wanda shopping mall, and near a couple of other malls & attractions. Tangshan city center is not very big and this area is probably the busiest. I have no problem looking for proper restaurants. Despite that the city is quite polluted and cleanliness may not be a concern for many, I do appreciate that InterCon is maintaining its reputation and services at 5-star level. Good job and keep it up.
