The food was superb - the best Indian food we have ever had, and we have eaten in many places. The room was large, airy and had an amazing view of the plain below. From the top of the hotel you can see the snowy Himalayas. The pool was a delight and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would love to go back again. This is a peaceful place to pop into McCould Ganj from.

Food quality was not up to the mark though this hotel can be one of the best hotel if it pays some attention towards variety of foods served in buffet and some additional things like music system and some entertainment games can make this hotel as best hotel. I enjoyed stay at hotel and owner was very nice and supportive including staffs also . I wish them all the best . Hope to meet next year

Staying at Old Manali is must-do for traveller visiting Himachal. If you want to stay at Old Manali, then Banon Resort is best option. We love this resort, the owner, the manager and the staffs! They do extra miles to make our stay at Manali a blast. They take care of us like family and I can't even say more about their hospitality and kindness. Thank you, for making our stay memorable.

I had stayed here with my youngest son, during our golfing weekend at Naldhera Golf Course. The location of this hotel is one of the best that I have stayed at. Right on top of the ridge, one is afforded a view to both sides of the valley. The room is clean and also has a kitchenette. The room service was great and the food yummy. It has become my go to place for Naldhera hills.

First things first . The staff and location of this property is amazing . If you are looking for a place away from the gustle bustle if the city . These 2 factor alone makes up for any cons in the property. Property is a refurbished old house and has maintained its certain element . It still has lots of picture depicting old times There arent many cons but compared with other Mahindra property this one isnt that big The food quality specially the ala carte one is ok , considering the steep price. Buffet spread is good and has decent variety. What definetly needs improvement is its heating mechanism . Specially during peak winter the property is just too cold to keep you comfortable . We had to ask for extra heater in the room The lobby was very cold too . So i say hotel needs to spend a bit towards insulation and heating. But all an all a great experience and lots of things to do at funzone in the hotel We stayed there for 4 days towards end of february and enjoyed our stay.

The hotel provides facilities as it states. Staffs were very well behaved and prompt in service. Check in process was proper and smooth. Central heating system make my stay very comfortable as it was too cold. Food in the Restaurant is acceptable, can be considered as area of improvement. Not actually within walking distance from mall road but its much better than the hotels of mall road. Its worth taking auto/ taxi to the hotel. Its close but away from the crowd. Had a pleasant stay.

A quick tip for people who want to drive into McleodGanj using their own car (without a driver), make sure you confirm that your hotel as parking space. Thankfully Deodar Villa has an arrangement with the temple management for using their parking space which is complimentary for it guests. its located very a stones-throw distance from the HH Dalai lama temple and very close to the main market. The local taxi stand is also within shouting distance. Though driving in McLeodganj is not recommended, ever spot is walkable/trekable.

Have been to manali many times before but must say that Urvashi"s retreat has been the best experience so far. Right from the upkeep of the place to the very courteous staff (which we used to find very difficult in manali besides staying at the best property also) ,our holiday experience was truly enhanced by their efforts. This place definitely deserves a 4+ star accreditation according to me. Mr.Giri raj, jitender and other staff members deserve a big thank you from my side.

As we were late to check-in the hotel staff called us to find out where we are to offer help. The location is away from main road with narrow driveway just nice for one car . First impression upon arriving was worrying looking at the back lane of the property but as you walk towards the lobby we were surprised by the nice set-up of the lobby. It was heart warming to see the wooden interior nicely decorated, clean and conducive environment. We were greeted by the owner Mr.Sanjay upon arrival . The rooms are well equipped , the food choices are excellent. Overall very impressive stay experience.

Located at log hut area location of property is beautiful and rooms are large specially SVR duplex. I can't explain about staff it's great hospitality from front desk to floor manager to waiters all are too good and helpful. It is best for vegetarians and lots of options available for vegetarians in BF and dinner buffet. One thing I want to notice to hotel management pls add some non veg options in BF like chicken nuggets salamis or such like things and also add boiled veggies so that non vegetarians and persons follow diet has come more options Rest I am satisfied with maintenance of rooms and specially parks and playing games and other options in the park for children's.... I am love in it Thanks

golden tulip is located river side in the heart of old manali...the hotel has very courteous staff who helped us with a smooth check inn...the rooms are nice and very spacious with beautiful views...the manali club house and the best cafes of manali r located at a walking distance...the property is old but well maintained....the breakfast spread was the only disappointment...rest everything was up to the mark...stay at this hotel for the location it offers and the friendly staff

Excellent and relaxed. The hotel is something 23 km away from the shimla bus station. If I was aware of this distance I would have not booked this hotel. You need to spend Rs 850/- to reach the hotel from the shimla station. This hotel is in Shilong Bagh one should be very very sure, especially when you are tired reach your destination and then you realise your hotel is another one and half hours to reach your this hotel.

After a nightmare journey, we arrived at 12 am. They moved us to a larger room in the morning as I had accidentally booked for 2 instead of 4. There was no fuss at all! Breakfast was good, the views tremendous! The only thing I can complain about is the bar - they had run out of pretty much everything apart from wine which was rather expensive. We didn't eat an evening meal in the restaurant as our kids are quite picky, we ordered room service each night which was delicious. Would recommend staying here rather than anywhere in Shimla; there are better views, far less rubbish and great opportunities for walkers. We will definitely be returning.

I stayed at CK for 1 night on February 15, 2104 when the entire valley was covered with the blanket of snow. The hotel approach (just just over ISBT bus stand) that was initially a matter of concern turned out to be helpful as we did not get stuck in roadblock on a heavy snowy day. Special mention to the helping staff who offered their best support in trying to find out my friends' mobile phone she had lost somewhere in the snow on the roads. Positives: 1.Rooms are quite spacious, well placed with all amenities and quite neat and clean. 2. Even the washroom area was decent. 3. Food is simply amazing specially, Punjabi style made Poha, Alu Parathas and Mutter Mushroom. Negatives: Lack of recreational activities, bar facility and exteriors to enjoy. So, family with kids or even singles (who get stuck inside the hotel on a heavy rainfall or snow day) might get bored.All in all, a great deal for 1 night stay or solo or business travellers.

Taragarh Hotel has a great reputation but for that price it was of poor quality. I had to wait for my room for 2 hours even though I arrieved 2pm. When taking lunch waiting for my room to get ready the table cloth was dirty with huge spots all over and when I asked them to change it they asked me to go and sit at another table. When I insisted on sitting at this table and getting a clean cloth they brought me another just as dirty. The club sandwich was two small sandwiches which looked nothing like a clubsandwich. The food all in all was under the standard of this type of hotel and disappointing. As my room got ready it was poorly made. The plate that the fruits were on was dirty and not washed properly and it did not get changed for all the four days that I stayed there even though I asked for it. A lot of people were in the room "cleaning" so I was very surprised that it was still so filthy each day even though I constantly reminded them to clean the bathroom ad toilet. There was no toilet brush so I could not do this myself. The internet was not working properly and when asking about it they took a very poor attitude. After the kind of nice reception the rest of my experience was a sad one. Staff was also making a lot of noice and occupying empty rooms watching TV in the middle of the night so that customers had a hard time sleeping. Instead of doing nothing - why could the staff not be put to paint and keep the Hotel in a good condition instead of it falling apart this way. It could be a fantastic place but instead it felt sad. I will never go back even though I have business in the area from time to time. I will also not recommend it to others. Plus the sad quality of the food did cost way too much. Totally overpricesed. Sorry having to write such a bad review but I tried my best to find something positiv.

It was the perfect stay we could have had the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and food was very good. I would highly recommend this to all my friends and family. If you are booking through agoda just make sure you confirm your booking with hotel as we booked in another hotel and even with confirm booking we didn't get rooms as hotel was fully booked. Eventually we were transferred to shivadaya which was excellent but wasted lot of our time waiting. Shivadaya = excellent and perfect Agoda= be careful and recheck bookings

I travelled with my wife and 4 year old in mid Sep. Off season rates through Agoda were best. As far as hotel is concerned. it has excellent location. good food, good ambience, good facilities and decent service. However the service during buffet breakfast could have been better. Overall a satisfactory experience. Will definitely keep it as an option during next Manali visit

Horrible experience. The property is total let down a mere cheap holiday home place falsely marketed as 4.5 star. The staff and entire team are just there to fleas you, the moment we checked in we were thoroughly disappointed with whole hotel in itself, the rooms were really so shabby it makes you feel you are in some cheap 2 star rated property, no proper lights, no heater, no running hot water, no toiletries, broken wash basin counter, broken bed and the list goes on in short we felt totally cheated for what we paid for, on above that all staff were so misinformed about everything say the charges, extra child bed facility and everything. Club Mahindra is selling holiday home packages and its like once you are member of a club you are just have no choice but just to accept what is given and we not being the member were even more taken for a ride. The prices of food in restaurant was so highly priced for non members and the food they serve is just horrible, it was just adding up to all our miss fortune for visiting this place. The staff at the reception are like some college kids who are indecisive on what to say or do, you speak with one person and he agrees for something but than the other one does not know about the same, in spite of several request to meet the manager in charge he never bother to meet or call during our 4 days stay, above that they have in house people who keep on calling to take there holiday home packages inspite of not doing anything about our problems. Outrageously the hotel only goal is to cheat customer of there money, during our 3 different guys from the reception said that we could have served and offer you better if you had booked directly with us, the website from were you have booked takes 20% of the booking amount paid by you. There is more to write but I guess its no point to write an essay of our experience, please be sure what you are checking in before you book this cheap 2 star property.
