We booked expecting a fun indoor water park, it didn't exist! They only had a pool. The water temperature was so cold my grandsons lips & mouth turned blue. Complained to the front desk, was told the temperature couldn't be changed. The WIFI did not work at all, no signal & poor signal was all we could get. Positives: rooms were clean. (Except for the dirty old body ...

This hotel was excellent for the money. That being said, I will state that the rooms all face the pool atrium and while we were there, there was a family reunion happening, so the pool area was very noisy and busy with splashing children. I didn't lose any sleep, but I would hesitate to enthusiastically recommend this property if you are simply a couple traveling wit...

Seemed like a newer hotel that was well appointed. The hot tub and pool were great, and I enjoyed the fitness center(very small- but had what I needed). The morning breakfasts were tasty, the rooms were comfortable, and the linens were clean/pretty good quality. I also appreciated the cookies and coffee that were available in the lobby. The only cons: 1.) While it wa...

Yes, this property could use some updates - new drapes, more outlets for electronics, etc., but overall this is a great hotel. It is very clean, the room was spacious, the bed was comfy, the staff is simply amazing, and the location is ideal. (The coffee in the lobby area is also very good for those who are coffee-lovers like myself.) This is truly a bargain and the ...

We were pleasantly surprised by this Hotel, doesn’t look much upon arrival, but once you step inside it’s fantastic Super close to the airport, less than 5 minute drive, heaps of parking Awesome pool area Large breakfast area, food was ok, struggled to get hot water and hot food, maybe just unlucky with times we went Laundry was great and easy to use the machines Best...

Travelodge Iowa City is an old hotel. When I lived in Iowa City in the 60's, 70's and early 80's it was the Howard Johnson Motor Lodge. Since then it has undergone several rounds of renovations. The current status is "comfortably worn", though the rooms have been updated. I stayed for 5 days in October, 2017. My room was very comfortable, with a flat screen HDTV, a...

A very nice new and clean hotel with spacious room and bathroom. Our kids loved it the moment we entered the lobby. Very welcoming room layout and comfortable beds. There is a coin laundry on one of the floors which was very handy. Chain restaurants are nearby.

We came with three other families, all of them staying in another hotel. We were the only ones with small kids (ages 1 and 4) so we were concerned with the depth of the pool. This was the only one not over their heads so we chose to stay here and meet up with the others for our activities. I would stay here again next time. The pool was a very good size and perfect for...

Facility was very nice, clean, and enjoyable! However, the soap provided for washing hands, bathing, and shampoo was totally unusable and ineffective! Do you understand where you are and what you have to do to substitute for it when you find out the soap will not foam?

We spent the night as our girl had an doctor appointment the next day at Iowa City, Children's Hospital. First off we booked online, which was a great rate! Motel with pool/waterpark, great for teens. Only when we got there I discovered why the rate was great, if the girls wanted to swim, I had to pay another $20! Fine I payed it. Our room was clean enough, but nothi...

Dissappointed in the breakfast, which I would characterize as continental cereals, muffins, pastries, meaning no hot egg or meat options. Closest thing to protein was yogurt. There was a toaster and hot waffle machine, but again, all carbs. Fruit helped, but went away looking for protein.

What a sad hotel. It just looks and feels run down and without any love. I know this property is about twenty years old but it had been renovated since then. But, it isn't clean. There are stains all over the stairs which is sad because they don't look anywhere near fresh. The entire place just seems bleh. The staff was amazing and nice as can be but I wouldn't s...

When we first entered our room, we were shocked at how clean the room was! I never have encountered that amount of cleanliness in a 2 -3 star motel. The bed was truly comfortable and soft. The shower was soooo relaxing, loved how it felt. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Parking lot was decent. It would be nice if they added more lightning to the rear parking lot. Other t...

We were passing through and happy to find online a great price for this clean motel, easily accessible from the highway and also not far from some restaurants, shops, coffee places, etc. Comfortable bed in a typical small, clean Motel 6 room. Decent sized bathroom.

A hidden gem! Right off I-80 and nearby to restaurants and other sights. For the money you can't beat it. No coffee in room but near lobby. Have fresh baked cookies every night so that's a nice little treat. There is a train track behind building but was no trains all night and track rails looked rusty. Very nice little place!

For the $50 it was a room to sleep. The breakfast was a joke, dirty facility, things are broken and staff seemed to be clueless. However with that said for $50 it was a nights sleep. However next time paying $5 more to get a breakfast would have been worth it.

i was really surprised that the room is very spacious. the bed i really comfortable. i attended a wedding of my friend and she stayed at marriot. to be honest the rooom in comfort inn suite is better than marriot. staff are very kind and offered me chinese menu(since i wanted to eat rice) she recommended me many restarants mainly offering rice :) lol. wifi connection i...

Love the location and the cleanliness of the hotel in general. I also loved the mirrors in the room! It was also nice to have that complimentary 24hr shuttle service since the zoo parking was full. I would definitely book another room here again!

Staff was awesome my pets got spoiled rotten too. Swimming and soaking were very peaceful. Close to lots of shopping and dining. Breakfast was more than what i expected. The guest laundry area was ready and clean and easy to catch up my laundry for pretty cheap. All in all great couple days spent here.
