great place. staff was extra helpful. wifi was down in the whole area. person at the reception would put hot spot for us every day from his personal mobile since international roaming was barred on our phones in kashmir.
There are very few best hotels in Srinagar, Lalit is one of them. It is a bit far from the local markets but people who wants to stay away from the busy crowd/market, this hotel is meant for you. I liked every thing about this hotel and I will always recommend this property to my near ones.
As I reached the hotel after 3 hours driving , my room was on the 5th floor and guess what as I enter the room there wasn’t any light But then my room was upgraded and I got a bigger room with a bath tub and pool view The spa is just amazing , got feet reflexology done twice and rear everything was nice apart from breakfast which they can improve upon

I got a good deal on Agoda for executive suite room. Room was very spacious and had a bath tub. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very cooperative. The hotel is just in front of Jammu Railway station. But food is very very expensive. better eat outside.

It was a fantastic experience living in the Zaindari Houseboat. Both father and son Inran were so welcoming that they dis not make you feel like a stranger. I wanted internet and Inran immediately offered his handphone to be used as a hotspot, absolutely free. Aside frm the cheap price, you will truly have a good houseboat experience and the Kashmiri hospitality.
This houseboat is perfect for budget traveler who don’t want to miss the experience to stay on a houseboat. We really enjoyed our time here and we’re thankful for everything the family did for us. We would choose this place again if we ever come back!

I was really surprised to meet such a paradise in noisy Katra. Very quite and peaceful location, fantastic mountain view from the window, nice food - fresh and tasty, spacey room, very helpful and highly professional staff, great management. Near to Yatra prachi nd bus stand, market
We were provided a different houseboat which was not the one I booked for. The name was Balmoral castle. On enquiry they said that it was their sister concern. Although the hospitality was excellent we were not provided with wifi as promised during booking which was dissapointing. Otherwise a great stay at budget prices.

We wanted something different than the houseboat experience for this trip and the lemon tree was perfect. It is a relatively new hotel as it is a heritage hotel completely remodeled.
