Where to stay in Kegalle District
Kegalle District hotels & accommodations

The staff were fantastic and quickly addressed a mix up with our rooms. The white water rafting was also terrific but not for the faint hearted. The river has proper rapids and not the slow flow found in many other places....it is a wild ride. I wouldn’t recommend the connyoning unless you want to check out the Chinese dam building site that will soon destroy the ri...

Accomodation consisting of several stand alone villas with own shower/toilet. Central outdoor restaurant with reasonable day menu, Breakfast buffet was very average, food was cold and poor choice. Be prepared for a few insects during dinner in open restaurant. But nice atmosphere and surroundings makes it rather special if you are the outdoor type. Take some mozzie sp...

We stayed at the hotel one night to see the local attraction - the bathing elephants from the orphanage. This proved to be a very good decision - to visit the orphanage you need to buy pretty expensive tickets (20 USD per person), and they ask for the tickets even if you want to go to the riverside when the elephants are going there for bathing. With the hotel you have...

If you are a family with young children, then this is the best place. Elephants bathing right on your room door step and having breakfast with the view. One of my best experience in Sri Lanka. Kids loved it. Staffs: Madhu and Santha - excellent service. Food: Pretty good too. Rooms: Very spacious and very clean. Cons: Its best to go after 4pm for Check-in or else you...

We loved our stay at Gallene Gala. We stayed in the 3 tents that are right next to an amazing waterfall!! This accomodation is not for everyone as being in the tents is very basic living. If you like your own bathroom the other rooms available have this. We loved the simply stunning setting with amazing waterfalls through the jungle to explore. The food was delicious. ...

Our first stop during our trip in Sri Lanka and what a good first impression. We were the only guests at the time we came. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and the sight are amazing, stunning location. Best part of the room is the bathroom, first time I had a shower looking at monkeys

Had a great stay at this hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful, unfortunately there was no food available when we were there but elephants walking past from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm (and at the river during that time) for free more than compensated! One of my best Sri Lankan experiences!

Pros Comfy big bed Newly refurbished room and bathroom Good air con Staff were fantastic Owner took us places in his Tuk Tuk for free. Very attentive and kind. Amazing breakfast So cheap for the quality of accomodation Cons We arrived at 3am and couldn’t find anyone to check us in for 5 minutes. At one point we ran out of water in our room.

We stayed in Miyora with our teenage kids for two nights in order to do the rafting and canyoning activities. Pooring rain but great fun. Miyora had good lunch buffet, basic but tasteful dinner menu and good breakfast. English of serving staff needs improvement. Manager went out of his way to help out with the problem of a lost wallet, thanks again! Rooms were basic ...

We initially booked this place for 2 days but we stayed extra dates also as we felt this is home away from home. This is best place to start and plan your holiday in Sri Lanka as they help you, care and advice you in all ways. We had tours and excursions with them at a reasonable price and they even provide you air port pick for 45 USD which I fond very cheap .If you co...

The hotel is well located on the river, which is the main attraction in Kitulgala. Staff were helpful in arranging what they call rock-sliding and rafting. The Rick sliding is quiet dangerous , and health and safety wasn't the best. Rafting on the other hand was great and good value. The room has three walls, with the fourth side open to the river. The river is very ...

This was a marvellous trip down memory lane! Our holiday took us back to a more spacious and leisurely age of gracious living. The bungalow is a magnificient period piece. The garden is immaculately maintained. The staff are hospitable, helpful and obliging. Overall, we had a delightful holiday in lovely stately home.

This hotel is a mess - there were no ensuite bathroom facilities and 4 rooms had to share one bathroom. There were not towels, toiletries or tea/coffee service. We had to very firmly ask for morning tea which took ages to be made before we left for our program each day. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

All was perfect, staff more than friendly ! Listen all your request and do everything they can to realize it. You will probably meet Lakmal, the man who do everything for costumers. He will show you beautiful caves, waterfalls spot for sliding, swimming, jumping. Just amazing ! Best hotel experience of my life, very beautiful gift for my gf.

We were lucky to meet the owner as he was there at the resort. But I must say there was a mistake in the booking as we had clearly booked a room with 2 king/queen size beds. I showed the owner my booking details and he should me the confirmation sent to him by Agoda with no details of the beds. My wife, twin daughters of 4 years old and myself were made to sleep on on...
