Lazio hotels & accommodations

1. Location near train station is good for trains and to get on the hop on hop off tour buses. Downside is the area is not so nice for restaurants and bars as at nighttime you don't really want to be wandering around near the train station. 2. Hotel bar Is a rooftop bar - as I didn't want to go wandering around outside the hotel in the evening this really made up f...

We were a couple that stayed here 4 nights in October. The location was perfect. All major attractions are within walking distance and only a 10 minute walk to the Termini. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. They gave great advice on restaurants and directions around the city. They lent us a phone charger since ours from the US was not compatible. The ro...

This hotel was exactly what I needed to serve as a home base for a few days of traveling in Rome. I stayed here solo and felt safe walking the short walk from Termini to this hotel (only about 3 minutes). It is a great spot to see the city from! I could get to any of the sites within 20-30 minutes. The front desk staff was welcoming and I enjoyed chatting with the staf...

Modern 4 star hotel near Termini with high standard rooms. Everything is great but the only downside is staff behavior. Receptionist crumpled a wrong printout of my request in a rude manner. Restaurant attendant looked at me from head to toe as I was wearing a t-shirt upon entering when there were others in typical tourist outfits as well. Menu wasn't given to us. Staf...

Our one night stay was extremely satisfactory. Counter staff was great and the room was really nice and comfortable. Only problem we faced was that we had to pay extra because we thought check out was till 00:00hrs which was stated in the agoda website. We specifically booked the hotel because the check out was till 00:00hrs and we had an evening flight to catch. Our ...

The hotel may not be located in the greatest part of the city but it is a very central location with the the train station to the airport across the road from the hotel. I had booked a junior suite for my stay which was satisfactory, although the floor was neither carpet nor wooden flooring but a strange black plastic material which was the softest thing I had ever wa...

My husband and I stayed 8 nights at the Rome Times Hotel. I searched endlessly online to find a hotel in our budget that was a short walk from many iconic Rome locations and museums, and had a breakfast option. The modern look and feel was also important to me. I was pleasantly surprised to find our room had a king bed and rain shower in the bathroom. I've stayed i...

Incredibly stunning hotel in a great location. This hotel is centrally located within walking distance of all sights, you can walk to the Trevi Fountain and the colosseum in less than 15 minutes. There was no need to use any public transport other than when we took the cab to the Vatican. The hotel is less than 2 years old and everything is new and fairly sparkly, it h...

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here! Location is a bit far from most of the tourist attractions but conveniently close to the subway. Lots of great places to eat around here and hotel staff were more than happy to suggest places to eat. Had the BEST gelato EVER right down the street from the hotel. Breakfast in the mornings are wonderful with lots of different selec...

This hotel was the BEST find in Rome. I stayed here with my parents for 5 nights while vacationing to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, The excellent customer service started before our arrival. I communicated with the hotel via email in advance and they were able to took all of our dinners in advance, provided the best advice about how to reach the hotel fr...

My husband and I stayed here on April 6 to 10 and on April 17 to 19. Generally, our stay was good. The hotel is conveniently located between Roma Termini and Santa Maria Maggiore. Since we took the 78 hour route of the hop on/off buses, it was very convenient for us to get around the tourist spots during the day and back to our hotel at night - Termi and Santa Maria we...

Spent three nights here over Valentine's and both agreed the hotel was located in the nicest part of Rome. All the well known places of interest were within comfortable walking distance and we had our best meals only hundreds of yards from the hotel. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful and our trip would definitely not have been as enjoyable withou...

Hotel Diana Roma Rooftop Garden is THE BEST hotel, ever. When I first arrived in Rome, this is the first hotel which I stayed in, for 4 nights. I wanted to extend my stay here, but they were fully-booked so I had to leave. The views from the rooftop garden of this hotel are simply breathtaking. And that makes up for the not-so-impressive views from some of the bedroo...

This is a great hotel. Certainly the best part about it is the wonderful staff. They are friendly and professional. Really, they perform their duties on a level that is on par with more expensive hotels. I really appreciated that level of service while I was there. The hotel is located in a lovely quiet area very near the train station. You can easily walk in about s...

This hotel was simply wonderful. Just returned from a surprise long weekend for my husbands birthday and the staff were simply outstanding. Helpful with any questions or niggles and went out of their way to help. The two ladies in the morning were especially outstanding. Even managed to book a last second tour of the colosseum for us when all other tours were sold ou...

best location in rome. you could find all public transportation such as train, metro, tram and bus station just few minutes away. although the room is a little bit samll, but it is usual. it is almost impossible to find a big room hotel in rome. the breakfast is really good and the room is clean with comfortatble bed. it will be more attractive and easier for customer ...

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Roma Termini which makes me really convenient. The hotel is in one building with the suites in the building next door. The suites (as in the next building) are more like renovated b&b as there are other private b&b and apartments in the same building. It could seem a bit unsafe as there aren't any hotel staff in the suite building. ...

My friend and I booked a superior cabin for three nights here to start our Italian adventure. At first we were worried about the location and getting to and from the city but it was relatively easy. There is a supermarket across the road, a tour desk inside the grounds, a ticket machine for bus/train tickets, but best of all for us, it was quiet in our part of the camp...

I have been to rome several times and each time I have been disappointed by the upscale boutique hotels I have stayed at (overpriced tiny rooms). I couldn't contain my delight when I arrived at Rome Style Hotel. When i made the booking, the hotel hadn't opened yet so I was simply expected another tiny room in a good location but new. The location is perfect, in a sm...

Pros: Excellent location right next to manzoni metro and 10 minutes walk to the colleseum, Comfy big bed with choice of pillows, Plenty of hangers and wardrobe space, Mini fridge, New bathroom with toiletries, power shower and soft big towels Breakfast was gawjus Staff couldn't do enough for you Bar was reasonably priced Cons: It was very cold for the locals so the h...

Absolutely enjoyed our 2 nights here. They provide Twinnings Tea and coffee (which many hotels in Rome don’t!). They provide a kettle too! I’m extremely thankful for that as we can sip our teas! Plus point: spacious and clean toilet! That’s really important for us. The bed isn’t one of the best, but it’s bigger than expected. Thankful for that too! The room is kin...

The hotel can't be beat for location. Staff was pleasant and the rooms were very nice. We booked the smallest room (classic) and I would absolutely recommend you book something larger. Our friends had a studio suite and it was huge. By contrast, our room was impossibly small (although attractive) and the bathroom was ridiculously small. We are not large peo...

Hotel location is only about 1 min walk to Termini station. Very good location. Morning buffet breakfast is also really good. Only setback is that it is really on the expensive and more pricey side . Some of the Staff are friendly and helpful while others have the tendency to be not so helpful. Aircon is also a problem as the thermostat control is managed by the hotel...

I booked WRH Termini thru Agoda but a mistake with Termini management team on the room reservation. They can't offer me the room and suggest a replacement at Manin Suites. While this is a mistake from their end but I must credit them for their effort to amend the mistake that they make. They send me email and reply my query on the replacement hotel quickly. My revi...

Really loved this place.. This looked like quite a new or at least fully renovated place. No lift, but that is expected with most hotels in Rome where the buildings are a tad old, and we were only on 3rd floor anyway. The hotel had a very nice interior, white modern feel, sleek but still classy. It felt very clean, the bathroom fixtures were excellent, the bed was so n...

The hotel is situated approximately 10 minutes walk to the Trevi Fountain, a stunning boutique hotel. The hotel is quite Art Deco, the staff are lovely and welcoming, right from the moment arrived to booking a taxi when leaving. Upgraded on arrival to a deluxe so the room was exceptionally spacious, clean tidy and ideal for lounging (if you get chance) after a busy day...

my husband and i returned to this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary having stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon. we were not let down. we opted for a superior room which is a great size and has beautiful antique furniture although with a lcd tv! on unpacking our cases, a bottle of chilled prosecco was delivered to our room - lovely gesture! the reception ...

Room is tidy and clean. The location is good, just walk around 20mins to go every major attractions in the city. If you want me to choose the best things about this hotel, I would like to say the receptionist, Daniela is perfect. She is very kind, talkative and helpful. Especially she offered us a champagne, chocolates as well as late check out service for our honeym...
Cheap places to stay in Lazio

They were really nice at sant Lorenzo guest house . The guy on charge helped me all the time even before I arrive to Rome. He gave me all the indications to get to the hostel and he was really nice! We got sangria for free at night and breakfast :) we were listen to music and partying with other people and I got a great time . Rooms were clean and bathroom as well! Cl...

We stayed with our one year old daughter in a private double bed room (not the one shown in the picture). Small room but quite comfortable for our short stay. Within easy walking distance to Roma Termini and all other attractions in Rome. Mr Walter is a very helpful man. We would recommend this guesthouse for anyone who has a budget and looks for value of money for a s...

Finding the building was near impossible. We were unable to call the number the hotel had listed as their contact number. We kept getting "the number you have called has not responded". Luckily, we came at a time where someone was cleaning up the rooms, and they let us in. The person cleaning then escorted us a few blocks away to another "office". We then were ask...

I have been in many places, this hotel is best so far, staff and cleanliness. you really will forget some angry Italians which you met during the day and your see beautiful Itlaians (staff) when you get back to the hotel. I recommend as 5 stars hotel, I don't care about TV or somebody open the door for you and another one close it. Love and I will recomened it always. ...

I absolutely loved this place! It was a little hard locating it but I asked around and got to the place. The owner is a very nice person and he was nice enough to let me leave my stuff inside while I explored Rome during the day before taking my flight and also helped me print out some stuff I needed for my flight. Would definitely stay again if I have the chance.

Possibly the best hostel service you can find in the world. All the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, treating you like family the moment you step in. They also take the effort to remember each guest's name as well, no matter how long your stay is. The metro station is around 5 minutes away and the tram is just along the main road. If you have a travel pass,...

A ten minute walk from the Rome terminus station and the hotel is on the second floor and easy to find, although if you Google the location of the hotel it is more accurate than Agoda. The room was ok apart from the ensuite which was really a wet room and very small, however I was given the option to use another small wet room adjacent to my room which was better. Howe...

I was actually really worried about staying here as I read the reviews after I had booked. Our own stay was a really good experience. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious for a family of five and even had a small balcony. We were on the top floor (room no 38 I think? 2 double beds, 1 single bed and lots of space with a small bathroom/s...

I had a good experience at this hostel. I had a little difficulty finding the hostel at first, because you have to ring a bell in order to get up to the reception and the signage wasn't the best, although once I had found it it was easy to work the system after that. The hostel itself was a little confusing, because it seemed to be made up of two different buildings ...

I went to Rome for the first time and I booked after a thorough research I booked this hostel. Why did it require thorough research? Answer: 1) This hostel has AC which operates from 7-8pm till 8am. Is AC a big deal? Trust me Yes, you won't find AC in Rome in several places like metro, restaurants and hostels. 2) It is close to train station Termini. 3)bathrooms were ...

Underrated hotel. It can be labelled as a 2 star hotel. Considering the price that we pay this is a econmical hotel with shared toilet and decent room. Very glad that the room is made daily and the toilet is also cleaned. Good location and guesst will never get to stay hungry as there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The best point is the proximity to the main train s...

The place is well organized, you can leave you luggage and locke keys are available at the reception (2euros) for the whole stay also you can acquire lockers at the same price however you have to provide you own locks.. Its an strategic location if you want to roam around rome, nearby trains and bus are available. Supermarket are juat opposite the hotel, other good ...

the room is basic but very clean and with been out all day all you need is a hot shower and a clean bed. The location is just across from the train station and the bus from the airport drop's you off right outside of the hotel door, well just across a small road. This is not the best hotel i stayed in but the staff are very helpfull. we stayed two nights would say book...

My husband and I went on our first international trip and we stayed in this hotel in Rome. We read great reviews prior to booking and we were not disappointed when we actually stayed there. The staff were amazing and very helpful. They gave great tips of places to visit which you would not get in the common tour packages and as well as the best places to eat. The loca...

The area is noisy and messy but the hostel is clean. Most main attractions and good restaurants are within walking distance. Staff is very attentive. Our room faced the main steet which was always noisy but if you can get the room on the other side, if could be a perfect budget stay for few days.

We only stayed there for one night, but I wish we could've stayed longer. Rome is such a beautiful city with ancient archtectures everywhere. The room is large, clean, the shower room is a bit small but that seems to be the case in Europe. The best thing about this hotel is that it's only 150 meters away from Lepanto subway station so it's easy to acess the city. The h...

We had a great stay at Hotel Villa Rosa in April 2016. We were greeted warmly on arrival and the staff were generally very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, even when we asked to change rooms due to traffic noise. The hotel is on a busy road so with open windows there is considerable traffic noise, but not all rooms are as bad so its worth asking to change - our s...

Lucky to have read the other reviews prior so I was able to prepare myself in looking for the hotel. Indeed there was no signage so we asked the store beside the Police station and we were lead at the 2nd floor. The communication was easy with the staff. Of all the Agoda hotels I used, they are the one who reply to my inquiries... ALL of it! They are easy to deal wi...

The sirens keep you up if you left your window open First 4 days were great but last two nights not as good. We all shared 2 bathrooms with other guests and they were clean everyday but the last group that moved in were sloppy and bathroom floor was always wet had to wear your shoes to go in. But that was not the staffs fault. They did there best. It’s just one of th...

I stayed at this hotel for 2 days and I can say it is great value for money. First of all location is excellent. It is 2-3 min walk to the metro station, bus station, train station, 10 min walk to the Colosseum and many other touristic points in the area. Secondly, the room was very big and very clean. the Bed was big with good mattress. Breakfast was good, tasty food ...

Single mum, 3 children. We got a room with 4 beds, EXTREMELY comfortable. en-suite. Our flight got in late, so we couldn't get a train till next morning therefore great location. Great price on-line. Lovely member of staff. The downside was that is was Saturday night and very noisy with other guests and we could hear the front door buzzer in our room (surely somet...

The hotel is really just 8 min walk away from St. Peter's. This allowed me to be way ahead of the crowd who wants to enter St. Peter's. Breakfast was excellent, variety of meat, bread, cereals, fruits, marmalades and some cheese. The facilities are well kept and staff friendly. We paid for a room with a balcony. We were initially given one right in front of a tree son...

With four children under 12, a central location and first class care and attention are essential. All of my family enjoyed this stay with my four year old wanting to give the Hotel a fifth star! Well kept rooms, an excellent reception and bar and the best breakfast in Rome. We were particularly grateful for the thoughtful way they dealt with our youngest child's Coelia...

This is the best hotel I have stayed during my Europe trip. I stayed here for 4 nights during christmas, i couldnt be happier with everything this hotel provided. Included in the room is huge variety of breakfast buffet, staff is very friendly and helpful. My room is clean, big and very comfortable. It also close to roma termini about 2 mins walk (major terminal where...

We had a good experience at Monti palace. The hotel was clean and in a good area with some great restaurants nearby. I will say this seems more like a 3-3.5/5 star hotel rather than 4. Staff were friendly but weren’t extremely over the top accommodating. Also oddly, we did not have a comforter on the bed until our last night. This was partially fault of our own because...

I was very impressed with the amazing hospitality of Fabrizio (I am sorry if I got your name wrong, he is the front desk staff who checked us in on the 2nd of April), and the room quality of Gioberti Art hotel! I am really delighted by his service. I was looking forward to my return stay on 9th April but I accidentally overlooked and booked Gioberti Hotel instead. I wa...

Modern rooms, friendly staff, great location (7 mins to Roma Termini) and complimentary bottles of water! What more can you ask for in a city that requires a bit of walking around! Rooms are clean, modern fittings and good size for both room and bathroom. My wife thinks this is the best hotel we have stayed in Italy (we been to Siena, Portvenere, Florence, Positano). B...

This is a little gem of a hotel. It doesn't have a gym or a swimming pool, but the cleanliness of the hotel, the superb and friendly staff, the proximity to the airport (but without the noise), and the room price makes this hotel exceptional. The area is a bit run down, but I didn't feel unsafe walking in the area. There's an excellent small pizza restaurant nearby...
Luxury hotels in Lazio

Hotel location is only about 1 min walk to Termini station. Very good location. Morning buffet breakfast is also really good. Only setback is that it is really on the expensive and more pricey side . Some of the Staff are friendly and helpful while others have the tendency to be not so helpful. Aircon is also a problem as the thermostat control is managed by the hotel...

Just returned from our 4 night stay. It was one of the best places i have ever stayed at. Location is amazing, walking distance to all that Rome has to offer. Free parking which helped us as we had a car. Great breakfast with plenty of fresh and yummy options. The room was so big and specious, set out in traditional Italian style and super clean. But the best thing abo...

Got to Agoda through TripAdvisor. Seemed like an unusual name but was rated really well so we gave it a shot. Down a rather unlikely alley but nice front entrance. They sit you down in a small office to check in and bring you a glass of proseco. Nice. Lots of interesting and quirky art. We had a standard premium room which was nice albeit rather small. Fabulous looking...

I travel extensively & have to say I have a preference for Relais Chateau properties. This hotel is very well positioned & one of the best locations in Rome. The apartments are beautifully decorated & spacious & we stayed in the Marcus Aurelius suite. The real differences of this hotel is the staff, Christine at the front desk was incredible in how she accommodated eve...

I booked through the Agoda app and stayed in the junior suite for 3 nights in October 2018. I simply loved everything. You can tell a lot of work went into preparing this place, whether design or technology in the Rooms (the huge mirror in front of the bed is also the tv, and they have portable mobile like phones called Handy with internet and phone line access that yo...

The service was immaculate from the moment we arrived, the room was a little smaller then we had anticipated but was beautiful and had everything we needed. There are lovely touches which do make it feel 5* rather than so many other 5 star hotels which are more like 4*, including the turn down service and the incredible bar. Definitely make an effort to have a drink ...

Beautiful hotel on the street with the poshest hotels in the city. The area around the bar is stunning! Probably one of the best properties in Rome. 5 minutes walk from the Spanish steps. Large rooms with equally large washrooms. (not European standard to my relief!) Our room had a balcony as well. Reception staff is curt, concierge team is very sweet (not amazing w...

What a sensational hotel - our second time at this property and again we were not disappointed. If anything the property has improved since becoming part of the Star Hotel group. Super location / great staff / well appointed and large rooms in the middle of room. 3 minutes to the Spanish steps and in an upmarket shopping area of Rome. Thank you guys we will be back...

I had no idea what to expect with my last minute booking My arrival on the busy street was greeted by a smiling staff member. I rounded the entrance my jaw dropped. The hotel was stunning. The building was restored in the highest of perfection. I felt like I was living in a magazine story. The bathrooms were lush with lovely touches of hospitality. The bedrooms were pe...

On arriving the staff were exceptionally helpful and continued to be so for our three night stay. What was nice is they always had a nice smile. The room was as it is shown, very clean , fresh bedding daily and modern. It is on a main road but there is no traffic noise at allin the room. The breakfast is chosen from a list the night before and deliverd to your room at ...

Not too far out of the Town, can be walked (20 mins) through the park to the Piazza. Relaxing facilities, nice pool, great Spa (foc). Clean rooms with good TV options. Easy to criticise but I would book again in a heart beat. Staff are polite and helpful. I didn't eat in the restaurant but for no reasons other than wanting to go out to eat. If you're looking for a Hot...

This beautifully renovated hotel has a quiet luxury and a lovely spa to rejuvenate you from your travels. The staff is incredible and it is a great value - 5 stars with all that involves for a much more reasonable price than the other 5-star hotels nearby.

We stayed in a prestige / deluxe room. The only negative was that there is no view from the window as it was overlooking sort of courtyard / building but for a city hotel that meant it was extremely quiet which was a definite positive. We were not far from the Trevi fountain and situated well forbid most areas which were readily accessible by taxi ! Would definite...

The hotel is beautiful, a real throwback to that Dolce Vita! If you don’t like your room you can always ask for an upgrade! They’re very accommodating.Only issue is the sketchy Wi-Fi. So if you’re there to work, you probably can’t work in your room as our Wi-Fi went in and out 100 times.

I took my elderly mother to Rome from 11th to 15 th December. We literally had a perfect stay at the Grand Hotel De La Minerve. The location of this hotel is second to none. The Pantheon is steps away and other major sites such as Trevi Fountain (although currently being renovated), Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia and the Colesseum where short strolls away. The lobby of ...

The property is being refurbed and it needs it! Bedrooms v tired. We didn’t notice and warning of the refurb works on the agoda booking site but it meant they had few rooms available. I’m sure it will be great when done. Not the most glamorous location but fairly central and good for the train to the airport.

We enjoyed our stay at Sofitel Villa Borghese, but we believe that a few improvements could be made to make it a true 5-star hotel: having extra service such as a pool and / or a fitness room will be greatly appreciated. However, great staff, nicely located, spacy room and very comfortable bed.

I traveled alone with our two young kids, and felt very welcomed, comfortable and safe at the Residenza. The service couldn’t have been friendlier and our accommodations were comfortable and clean. We booked a superior room, and it was huge by European standards! It was the size of an American style suite, with a big bathroom, and a bedroom sectioned off from a living ...

We ventured to Rome for our 20th wedding anniversary and are very pleased to have chosen this hotel. The rooms are exquisite! The hotel has managed to achieve a modern rooms with a roman flair. The reception is tastefully decorated, again you are aware you are in Rome but it is modern, fresh and fabulous. The rooms are huge by European standards, offering nespresso c...

Beautiful contemporary hotel in a ideal location. Set in a pretty cobbled street behind a main road the hotel is in a great location for exploring this beautiful city. The hotel staff are welcoming and very helpful. The roof terrace was fortunately still open at the end of October and is a beautiful area for an end of the day drink. We thoroughly enjoyed the use of t...

We were very careful about your choice of accommodation since we were in Rome for the first time with my family. We completed 4 nights of our 1-week holiday by staying at this facility. Camelia was very helpful, very meticulous, friendly person, she gave us the details of where to go, how to travel, meticulously helped us with our subsequent stay and transportation. ...

I stayed at the Lifestyle Suites in Rome with my wife and daughter in 2016. My wife and I returned in 2017 for a 2nd visit. It is a gorgeous hotel and the staff treats you so well. The breakfast was delicious and it was a very enjoyable stay. I plan to come back again in July 2018 for my 3rd visit. I highly recommend the hotel. It may be more expensive than oth...

This is more like s Airbnb, we get a apartment which is near to Colosseum. The apartment looks nice but not very clean, we can see hair and stains on the bedsheets. The cleaning fee €35 and tax € 3.5per pax per night should be mentioned on the website. It’s expensive compare to other city. The transport from the apartment to airports is less than €60 if you go by Tax...
