Lop Buri hotels & places to stay

It's a nice place, home like hotel with reasonable price. Room is clean, and I like Wi-fi. Breakfast is soso. Just congee, fried vegetable and instant coffee. You can buy some food from the big C nearby. It's not easy to find the place, because the local people cannot speak English. So you have to tell them you wanna go "Big C"supermarket. (check google map,319 Moo 2, Thasala, Muang, Lop Buri 15000) Be careful, there are 2 Big C. When you get to "Big C" you can see there is a Ford center in front of its lane. The hotel is 200 meter going to the lane. In front of Big C there is red "pick-up" bus running thru all the time, which can take you to the monkey temple, only 8 baht per trip.

The Paklop Resort plainly caters mostly to Thais; Lopburi is not on one of the main tourist routes. We were a group of 12 on a tour of the less travelled sights - one Thai and 11 Westerners. The hotel rooms were spacious and clean, with firm beds that most found comfortable. The free breakfast was the usual choice of rice porridge or "American breakfast". Ordinary, but got the day started. The only disappointment was the bar - open air and right next to a main road with heavy traffic. Pollution and noise. Otherwise, a very good place to stay.

This hotel is relatively new (opened in 2015, I think). The room we had was squeaky clean. The entire property seems to be very-well taken care of. The hotel staff was both extremely friendly and helpful. The only potential fly in the ointment is that the breakfast is Thai only. No western offerings, so if you can't handle spicy-hot food, you may want to make other arrangements for breakfast. The hotel is almost exactly between two Big C stores/malls on the main street in front of the hotel, so if you're up for about a 650-meter walk in either direction, you will find lots of choices for food.

We overnighted at Wanlapa on a short weekend road trip through Lopburi and Khao Yai. The staff were incredibly helpful and beyond attentive, and the place really gives you the feel of staying with a family on a farm! There are dogs roaming the property, horses without end, children at play, and beautiful countryside to enjoy when you stay here. The location is incredibly remote, so best for travelers who want peace and quiet. Expect to be woken early by the sun and birds who are excited to greet the day! The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room was very clean. The restroom is shared, and about what you would expect on a Thai farm :) We would definitely return should we find ourselves in that neck of the woods again!

A very nice and new hotel. Breakfast was reasonable, did the job. Room was very new and very clean. Smelled very nice. Bed was very comfortable. Make sure you have your own shampoo and shower gel as the stuff they supply isn't very good. They also don't supply hand soap. The staff are polite. It's a short walk to the town from the hotel, you don't need to get a taxi. To get to the hotel from the train station, cross onto the opposite side of the train tracks before you exit the station, turn right and just follow the road to the hotel (it will be on the left side of that road). Do the reverse to get back to town. Saves a lot of walking. The hotel is out of the way enough to be away from town noise, but still a short walk. I would stay there again.

This is actually a guesthouse and a restaurant. The room we booked was too hot to stay in such a summer day so we upgraded to an air-con one plus 200 baths. The new room is nice, two big beds and kind of bigger than the old one. Toilet and bathroom are convenient - this place should be the best you can find in Lopburi. And plus point for the food in Noom's restaurant. Excellent, tasty at reasonable price. Highly recommended to try food here even if you are not staying

We were in town for a wedding and chose to stay at the Home Place. The staff was very thoughtful and helpful. The room was spacious and super clean. Our first night we were able to upgrade to a VIP suite which was super! The hotel is a little out of the way, but no problem for us since we had a private car. I don't know that it would be within walking distance of attractions. The units on the upper floors are rented by the month. Because we were booked on two nights when soccer team members were staying on the lower floors, we were moved to an upper floor where the occupants were quiet and courteous. Breakfast of soupy rice, salad, and toast was provided, but Western guests will probably want to order something different at a minimal charge. The staff at the front desk was very accommodating. We would stay here again.

It is a big hotel with many old rooms. the receptionists receive you with a kind smile, indicating the time of check out with a calculator and giving you the key so that you and your key go together and alone to the room. In the room it seemed that someone died just after opening the door and they never passed since the incident because everything was well placed, the bed well made but there was dirt on the floor for months, old and new cobwebs, mirrors that only intuit your silhouette... The bed was hard as the stones of the temple of Lop Buri. And the bathroom is the best part of the room, the toilet was yellow, deformed and lost water, the shower floor was full of fungus, with holes and insects. In conclusion: if you want to live an adventure or if you are Stephen King and need inspiration, this is your hotel.

Rooms are neat and modern with horses hanging around on the property! The resort is located a bit far on a small road, but this makes you closer to a small dam which offers a nice sunset. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at ease. The breakfast was delicious; boiled rice with loads of pork plus two toasts. There are 2 restaurants on the road near the resorts and a night market down the road. You can venture 2 more kilometers near the main intersection with lots of food over there!

The Nett is basic, but totally adequate for the money. Good size room. Bed may be hard for some tastes but I like a firm bed. Fridge and ac in room. Close to all of Lop Buri's sites, walkable to train, food, limited nightlife. Night market right outside (no noise issue though). I came to Lop Buri for monkeys, and there are MANY outside hotel, so I'm happy. Free entertainment. Luxury it's not, but what do you want?

No regrets for staying 2 nights! The room was quite big, neat, and very clean. The bathroom was also nice and clean. There were only 2 tiny problems which were the a bit of smelly bathroom (not so bad) and the AC wasn’t cool enough (just sometimes), but these were trivial. The security guard was super friendly and nice. Honestly, this place was worth the money and really recommended.

A nice hotel with a very unusual design. A design that I have never experienced before in any hotel that I have ever been in before. The staff were very pleasant and the gardens were also different. But my question would be, why would anyone want to stay in a hotel that is situated in the middle of nowhere with no bars and only one reasonable restaurant more than 55 kilometres from the nearest big town i.e. Lopburi.. William

The hotel is clean, simple and value for money. The location though is quite some distance from the city centre. It will be good if the hotel can provide links to car rental services. The staff are friendly and helpful but they speak limited English...it will be good that the hotel can provide more English information such as sunflower field trip, etc. Overall it's a great stay as the hotel is clean and nice..I would recommend a stay here if you are in Lopburi.

We stayed in Lop Buri for the monkey festival. The hotel was pretty far from that but the taxi/buses are only 8 baht to go anywhere. The room was ok but very outdated. The wifi kept going in and out. The stay came with a free breakfast but it wasn't very good. There aren't any 7-11's or stores of any kind near the hotel so we were forced to eat there and the food was pricey and not very good. There were nicer hotels nearer to the festival and stores. Overall the stay was ok but couldve been so much better elsewhere.

The hotel and rooms got a nice style even though the furniture is a bit worn. The location is great and the hotel easy to find, the fact that it's close to the big road is both a good thing and bad thing since you can hear the traffic nighttime. Overall a good stay, ok breakfast and close to the things you come to see in Lop Buri. The sunflower fields was amazingly beautiful!

The location on right on Highway 1 might be a turn-off for some as rooms can be noisy all day and night but the friendly staff and Thai-style wooden decor make us feel right at home. Rooms, though clean and comfortable, are not very large with (in the case of superior double)an awkward layout of the bathroom which, if not locked, can be entered from outside. On the positive side, WiFi works well, there is 24-hour security, and the spa is professionally run even if it is situated in a separate pavilion even closer to the busy main road. Yet the best of all is plentiful breakfast; the owners really know where to get the best local food in Lopburi. Even in Bangkok, it's difficult if not impossible to find the coconut milk-based khanom sai sai (ขนมใส่ไส้) more memorable than those served at Pak Lopburi.

Most important, this is not a hotel,it's an apartment. And it's near impossible to find as taxi and motorbike taxis cannot find it SO KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS. To find it get to Phaya Tai BTS station and when you are at road level stand by the up escalator that leads back to the station. Look behind you just a few steps away you should see a building called Phayatai Plaza. If you do not, then cross the road and start again. You will see a pair of car barriers and a small white security hut. Walk straight through where the barrier is and straight down the service road for about 100m. You come to Pattayatai Condominium reception. Go in and the owners will greet you and take you to room. The apartment has a kitchen, lounge, bedroom, en-suite and extra wet room. The furnishings are typical Thai apartment ones and are functional. there is a flat screen TV and free Wi-Fi.Being right by Phaya Tai station you can easily get the train to the airport.It's very good value, but be patient trying to locate it!
