Traveling to Thailand? Find Mae Hong Son Province hotels

We booked for 8 people at the last minute doing the Mae Hong Son loop and they accommodated us quickly. They were super nice! We kind of messed up that night, getting really drunk and bringing in guests that weren't staying there until about 2 or 3 am I think. Of course we were disturbing others and it was totally our fault. It could have been a dramatic situation, but they approached us calmly. If I were in their shoes, I'm not sure I would have been the patient. Anyway, the next morning they served a great buffet and didn't give us a hard time. For the price, the rooms were really charming. And I'd happily stay there again! But I'd be more respectful next time :)

I cannot begin to stress enough how professional and attentive this hotel is, or the quality of the staff and services. I stayed with my boyfriend for 2 nights and we booked the deluxe mountain view room which was fantastic. Large, beautiful room with a nice view of the pool and mountains, plus a huge bathroom with a tub and rain shower. During the night however our air con stopped working suddenly and so we informed the staff the next day who apologized for the inconvenience and upgraded us to the villa along with refunding us the money for the first night. This was very gracious of them and I do not think we would have had the same care and professional treatment at other hotels. The money you pay here is worth every penny. The staff all speak English and treat you with the best of their abilities. The food and breakfast is great, with such a beautiful view of the gardens and mountains. I loved spending evenings at the restaurant drinking wine and enjoying their cheese platters as well. The pools were great, especially the natural stone one! The entire resort is very relaxing and beautiful, perfect for a well-needed getaway. Everything also feels very exclusive and intimate, especially since this is not a large resort with many rooms so you get to relax with a lot of peace and quiet and enjoy the facility without too many people. Overall this is probably one of the best hotel experiences I have had and I will definitely come back again! You won't regret booking a stay here!

We and our 2 young daughters (5 and 8) fell in love with Pai and its magic, and this hotel had a big part in it :) the atmosphere there, the lovely manager who speaks great english which helped us alot while she's there, advised and offered many things, always with a smile and even suggested the best way we book the family suit while we are there. Sheets were always clean and smell great, bath towels too, all was super clean and nice, it was important to us with little kids. the pool was great too and when it rained we swim and wnjoy this magical place ! highly recommend. We deffently we'll be back there.

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed ever .. its in Pai ... Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and owners , our names were mentioned on the board and we were given fantastic view rooms ... in real means the Paradise . The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!)..We had two great evenings here... The concept is awesome .. kayaking , bicycling , fantastic food . awesome breakfast , fruit eating in boat style coupons is amazing experience , Special Thanks K Pat , The staff . The second day we did see beautiful caves , hot spring , cycling , trekking which was suggested by the hotel owner herself . The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural bath in hot springs on the end was a great way to end the day . Its better than any branded 4-5 star hotel ..the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to us ... Thanks owner couple and staff

I love our room Isle of spice under romance room. It's small and cosy...english style setting. I love the entire plot of land surrounding the estate. There's lots of beautiful flowers, greenery, sheeps & horses. Surrounded by nature. You can go star-glazing at night. Do rent the bike if you need to stay in this hotel. It's just a lovely 15-20mins ride down town. Although the hotel provides free transfer from city. But due to the rainy season, sheeps are not allowed outdoor. But we managed to feed them hay from the outside of the hut. It's really lovely. Plus I need to thank Mint the only manager in the estate who personally prepares our delicious BIG breakfast in the morning. Very big spread. I'm going to miss her FAB porridge and thai-style omelette. Only thing I can complain is the toilet & shower area in the room is not as nice as the room. There's a funny smell and the decor is not very matching to the english setting in the bedroom and exterior of the cottage house. Otherwise it's perfect place to stay.

This is probably one of the best options in Mae Hong Son. Some say it is "out of town"... No, it is a 10 minute easy walk from the lake - which I consider to be the centre. The rooms are spacious and clean and very well equipped. Good illumination, lots of electrical outlets - yes, also at the bedside, good AC, refrigerator, TV... you name it. The pool however looked as if it would need a cleanup. But who goes to Mae Hong Son to lay around in a pool?!

I stayed in the Resort for 2 nights with my husband and son. The Resort has left a deep and favorable impression on my family. What touched me most was the friendliness and sincerity of the staff. I stayed at other resorts and hotels of the same kind. Despite the excellence of the facilities, I found the staff had vague arrogance and contempt to the Chinese behind the mask of politeness, which dissatisfied me considerably. On the contrary, the staff here were very helpful, hospitable, thoughtful and sincere. I was so glad to see their bright smiles and appreciated their excellent service. I felt grateful to the staff, especially the two pretty and kind girls . In addition to the staff, the Resort is really the right place for a pleasant stay. The villa is so charming and elegant, the bed is so big and comfortable, the surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful, the food is so delicious and the breakfast in particular, the transportation is so convenient, that I can’t wait to come back again. I had stayed in Thailand for 10 days, and I hold the belief that the Pai Island Resort is the best.

Did 3 weeks around Thailand and read the reviews on this hotel, here are mine. Super location only less than 5 minutes from the bus stop, check in was fast, easy. Super location to get to the walking street market 1 minute away. One review I read said the breakfast was bad, wrong it was the best ever in Thailand, there are not to many chairs by the pool never had an issue always had something to lay on. The staff are so attentive, clean, clean hotel. I definitely give it a 5 star for Thailand😃

This is the best value for money in Pai for what you get. We have stayed in the other four star hotels in Pai and the Montis is far superior. All huge Executive size rooms including the lowest price ones. The service here is five star. Great amenities and shuttle service to the short distance to town centre all day long. Exceptional grounds and views alone well worth a stay here. would highly recommend. Amazing staff and service - world class. Originally booked for five days ended up staying for fifteen.

Literally the best place I ever stayed, it is so much better than it looks on the picture. This hotel has three hotsprings in their own garden, which are not on the agoda pictures so it was a very nice surprise when we arrived. We even had an outside bathtub at our own bungalow which in the evening was filled with hotspring water by the staff, so we look at the stars in our own private garden sitting in a hot bath. The staff is superfriendly, the surroundings are very peaceful and superbeautiful, elephants come to take a bath in the river at the hotel so there is always something beautiful to see. If agoda would have shown the real beauty of this place we would have booked more than two nights because we were really sad we had to leave this place. The only minor point of criticism we have is that the hotel works together with a very bad motorbike rental company, those guys tried to scam us in every possible way. So the hotel should start working together with another rental company than "happy pai" to provide guests with motobikes. But it is not the hotel's fault that those guys are so terrible, the people of the hotel are the best!

It was excellence stay with my partner, the staff is helpful and provide the FREE transportation from town to hotel and vice versa when arrival and leave from hotel. Nice hotel view that make the hotel become the significant hotspot in PAI. But there also cause abit problem to the customers who stay in here, due to the visitors will suddenly walk to the place we stay to take photo thus this will caused us feel shock suddenly hear people stand outside of the place we stay

We stayed as a family of five occupying 3 rooms for 6 nights. The hotel was newly opened (3 months before we stayed), and the quality and condition of all the installations was very good. The room design is clean and simple and should stand up well to the test of time and use. The only two small issues we had with the design is that the bedside lighting is not strong enough to read comfortably (the staff welcomed this feedback and promised to improve it) and there is little storage space in the room. The layout of the rooms is good and gives a reasonable sense of privacy to each room. The level of insulation between rooms is also good. The garden and pool are nicely laid out and well kept. The breakfasts are awesome, and other meals, if you decide to eat there (we did once) are also good. However best of all is the attitude of all the staff, who were always friendly, smiling and keen to help. I can unreservedly recommend this location.

Excellent location with a decent breakfast buffet. The beds weren't the most comfortable but after many weeks in Thailand this was normal to us. The price was excellent for size of room and breakfast option included in our booking. The location is perfect, 1/2 block from the action but still quiet. Only warning I would provide is checking in, the hotel is off one of the streets that get shut down for nightly street market making it impossible to drive to if you have a car after 5 pm. But the benefits of being so close to a super fun night market made up for the challenges of finding our way to hotel on the first night. Tip if this happens to you we ended up parking across the water and walking the walking bridge with our bags and moved the car the next morning.

This is an older hotel, but it's part of the Imperial chain of hotels so obviously of a very high standard and the best hotel in Mae Hong Son city. Weather was cool in the mornings as it was early January when we stayed, so a swim in the pool wasn't looking very tempting, but during the day or by March it surely would be. Breakfast was OK but could have been a little better with more variety. I also enjoyed a nice massage in the room. Will definitely consider staying again on my next trip to Mae Hong Son.

My name is sindy from thailand but lived in dubai for almost 10 years...... I found this hotel at Agoda website . It was very good service and the manager was very nice person and take good care of customer ...... The hotel was clean and comfort but just 1 small thing that the hotel location was out of the center but u can walk to to center 20 min in the winter time is good to walk..... Anyway during my stay over there with my best friend and my cunsin for 2 nights . I had great time over there and service was excellent ....pick up and drop off to the center and treat the customer very well ...... Thank u Khun Mae for take good care of us during my stay ...... If u want to stay quited place and nice resort this ll be good deal for u to stay over......

We absolutely loved our stay. So many animals on the grounds! Beautiful resort, so full of nature, flowers and creeks. It was so lovely. The staff was really sweet and helpful, and im pretty sure it was the owner that even gave us a ride to the bus station after we checked out! The resort is right in between the main attractions The Container and Coffee in Love. The view during breakfast, which was yummy everyday, was breathtaking. The room was really spacious and the bed and pillows were super comfy. We rented motorbikes from the hotel as well which was convenient and easy. Overall we would definitely recommend!!

Great little family hotel, the best service and nicest people, room is basic: no fridge, no cupboard and small but very beautiful and clean, great balcony and garden, restaurant and reception are on the river with breathtaking view. Great a/c which is important in Pai, and amazing location. It isn't a luxurious room but the staff treats you like royalty - they always help, smile, are ready with your key when you arrive and they even served us breakfast to our room when we woke up late. A perfect example that a place doesn't have to be five star for you to love it and have a great stay -sometimes it is a warm caring staff that makes such a difference.

This is my third visit to Pai and I booked this place for a group of 14 people from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. The rooms and the surround was great. You can tell the much attention has been put into the place. They even provide soap powder for washing for those who needs it. The staff was also keen to provide assistance. It was a great place to spend the night. For those who plan to drive or ride to this resort, you may want to consider contacting them before hand. To spare yourself the frustration and confusion i was put trough. The check in was a bit too much for me and the only part of the whole stay that put me off. I jumped off my motorcycle after parking to provide my voucher and passport it in hope of swift check in after a long curvy ride the whole day from Mae Hong Son. There I was given a form to fill which had nothing to do with check in. While trying to get that sorted I was told the motorcycle needs to be moved and parked. After that I was made to listen the staff who was keenly waiting toe execute the visitor's brief. This caused some amount of frustration and confusion.. Filling in a form about bus tickets while it was clear that i arrived in my own group of motorcycle, car and van just did not make and sense to me. In my view of it at least.

I think it`s one of the best in Pai. It`s directly on the main street and the live music and a good restaurant is near by the hotel. The staff is very friendly, but everyone in Pai is very friendly. For us, Pai was the best place in Thailand! We booked the Pai Vimaan with discount and paid just 20 euro`s a night for a realy good room, good service and a very good and big breakfast. The first night, we had some problems with the electricity in our room, and the gave us directly one of the luxery rooms for that night. And very important, the rooms are in the garden of the hotel, so you don`t hear the music in your room.

Having crashed my moped I sought out this place where I could recouperate in comfort and it was in fact a great find. The bed was very nice as was the room in general. Slight downside was the room view looked onto a building site with noise too but I guess you can't stop progress. The breakfast was buffet style which had enough of a selection to keep most guests happy. The best of all though was that the receptionist helped to dress and clean my wounds and did a great job! For that alone I give five stars

The room was lovely, the view was lovely, the gardens were lovely. The location, a 19 minute walk from town, was fine. They also run a free shuttle bus, just call them, they pick you up. The bathroom was basic, but fine. A few big problems that I hope they will iron out given time. 1. The two very young people left in charge spoke no English and didn't seem to know what they were doing. Mangement weren't there. 2. The breakfast was the worst I have ever seen, anywhere in the world. Bad and unhygenic. Warm tuna mayonnaise sandwiches, processed "spam" and a cold fried egg. My vegetarian breakfast never came, I waited 50 minutes before leaving. 3. The design is nice but ill conceived, the bathroom door flexed when pushed ( the wet wood expanded because it was wet, making it stick), the large, flimsy glass panel shattered. It could have been very dangerous for my son. Also, nice rooms in Pai are incredibly cheap and easy to find, there really is no need to book a place like this. We booked it as a "treat" and because breakfast was included. VERY disappointing. I'm a professional traveller, we stay in hotels full-time, I don't leave bad reviews lightly. I hope they can improve given this feedback.

This is the best I ever had. You pay a small amount of money and gain great experience here. I mean the service they provide is even better than those 5-star hotels. The owner of the resort is a couple. They are very friendly to pick us from the bus station and introdce the attractions and surrondings of Pai. They have a dog and a cat. Very cute animals. The whole environment is very lovely. And the room is very clean and well decorated. If I had a chance to go Pai again, I would just stay with this hotel. It is the best ever!!!
