Sahara Star is the best hotel i ever stayed in , its amazing architecture, swimming pool , different restaurants , and bst of all shopping and service its shops are ran by their owners so great deals , food is a bit expensive but quality and variety is the best i ve seen ... i liked it so much that on my days off i never left the hotel. its so close to airport that you can walk or never get really lost cos everyone knows of domestic airport even if they dont know the Sahara Star hotel. They also offer a free airport shuttle bus

The orchid is the ultimate place to stay at a budget with 5 star experience near the Domestic airport and the NESCO grounds. Travel Desk: Very functional and provides free shuttles to both international(15mins) and domestic airports(10mins). the drivers can converse in good english. They also provide cabs for daily use but it is slightly on the higher side as you can get the radio cabs at a cheaper price. Reception: This is the area where they can improve. Nothing to complain about their courteous welcoming or hospitality. But they are too slow to check you in or also finaly check out. Concierge: Very good hospitality. Provides good service. Dining They have plenty of choices for restaurants. South Indian, kebabs, north indian and also 24hr coffee shops. The in-room dining menu is also equally good. Sligtly pricier but still ok for a 5 star hotel. Swimming and Gym Small swimming pool Good for relaxation. Gym is well equipped for you to sweat it out after a tiring day of work

This hotel is by far one of the best hotels that i have stayed at in all of India.(compares with The Taj Exotica in Goa and the Jaypee Palace in Agra) there was a small issue about the name as we knew it as The Leela Kempinski and when asking for directions, the locals only knew it as The Leela, later discovering it to be the same hotel. The double headed shower was a first for me and a unique feature. A small mistake that i made when booking through Agoda was that some how my accomodation did not include breakfast. I had to pay for this separately and being a five star hotel with buffet breakfast, it proved to be very costly as i had two children(12 and 13 yrs) which did not do justice to the lovely huge range available. Other than that, this hotel will definitely remain in our memory for a long time.

Truly awesome experience with the management and staff of Fariyas Resort Lonavala. Impeccable and Awesome dining experience, wonderful rooms, great ambience, water and adventure park, bar inside the pool, all these make this Resort as one of the best places to stay. During our stay, there were festival celebrations with games, food and lots of gifts to be won. Karaoke night on one night and DJ night on the second night made our stay as one of the best. Special thanks to VP Mr Thakur, Mr Partha Ray (Rooms Manager), Mr. Anil (F&B head), Mr. Srikanta (F&B Manager), Mr Goutam and Mr Arup who took special care of us. Team Fariyas is one of the best in my opinion as they have been trained to win customers hearts. This was my second stay with them and believe me, my third stay with my complete family will be very soon during monsoon season as that’s the best time to enjoy food, weather and adventure activities. Mr Daman who heads their travel desk is one of the person I’ve ever dealt during any of stays worldwide. He brings a human touch while dealing with customers and treat them as they are his own family members. Thanks so very much team Fariyas for making our stay unforgettable and memorable.

The room was super excellent, stayed in many five stars till date, including other hayatt, by far this was the best. Staff performance was excellent. they even waive off the charges for minibar. Room was quite and luxurious. Bathroom was very big, and fast internet. hotel is located in a quite area near the airport and university of mumbai. plenty of ATMs and shops inside the complex. for those who are looking for value deals, you need to go out the hotel, just book ola cabs, and go anywhere you want.

It was my second time that i chosen the oriental residency. It is the best place to stay. All people are so kind. The receptionist Pradeep and Alam was so helpful. There was also a steward( in learning) Who helped me with finding airtal shop for simcard. And the housekeeping make Every day my room so good clean. Thanks to all of You. And the persons Who gives negative comments here about the hotel i think they are just disturbed. I visit all sort of 5 star hotels But this one is 3/4 star But is very clean and the rooms are not less like a room of a 5 Star hotel. I advice anyone to choose this hotel . Its hygienic hotel. The aircondition works soo good. The WiFi was also good, Only when You are in the toilet there is the WiFi not so good, but in whole the room is WiFi excellent.. You can 24 hours order your food, That was soo good. Best service ever. I Will come always in your hotel when i am in Mumbai. I Will miss all of You. Thanks for your warm Welcome.

I booked my room via Agoda.com and had a non-smoking room preference. I reached with my family at 10:30 PM and room was given to me with normal formalities. But when I entered the room I found I have been given a smoking room and a door connecting another room ( this was in case some one books 2 rooms with a big family). Next morning I requested the guy at the reception that I wanted to change the room as it's not as per my requirements and the staff was polite to change our room. Overall rooms are quiet clean and well maintained. The breakfast is extremely delicious and if you are going with small children you have lot of things from donuts, breads, cereals, chocos, eggs etc. The room service is also very nice and helpful. To reach the hotel one has to pass through dirty and narrow lanes, but due to overcrowded city /metro like Mumbai's one has to accept this. The hotel is Value for Money.

I arrived at Mumbai airport on 15 May morning and was waiting for the airport pickup. 10 minutes later and still no hotel rep, thought there might have been a mixup and called Kohinoor Continental Hotel. Was attended to by Ms Suprriya who confirmed my reservation, but turned out I booked for 15-17 July instead! Looked at my voucher and realised my blunder, and told her about my error and I was already in Mumbai airport. Ms Suprriya asked me to give her 2 minutes. 2 minutes later, she called my Singapore number and said that a driver will arrive in 10-15 minutes time. Driver arrived punctually and fetched me to the hotel. Hotel is conveniently located close to the airport. Situated along main road, she blended in with the ongoing construction works nearby. Nevertheless, once inside, it's decent and presentable. Check-in counter was briefed by Ms Suprriya and was willing to honour the booking for 15-17 May, but requested that I contact Agoda about the change in dates with new voucher. Called Agoda Singapore who obliged after getting consensus from hotel rep (thanks Agoda, in particular Jason). Hotel rep said to simply forward revised voucher to reservations. Check-in was thus successful, and many thanks to Hotel Kohinoor Continental, in particular Ms Suprriya for making this pleasant. Had a Superior Room which was very clean with pleasant smell. Wooden flooring gave that "homely" feeling. I would say this is similar to most superior rooms in 3–4 star hotels across Asia, neither big nor small, but just sufficient for a business traveller who needs proper work desk, reliable wifi, comfortable and clean bed, functioning bathroom (in this case shower only). Being a breakfast person, I'd consider the buffet spread standard and reasonable, catering to western and Indian palate. You may have to be a bit patient with the wait staffs as they are courteous, but at times forgetful and slow. All in all, it's been a pleasant stay and I'll be returning on my next visit to Mumbai

Our stay was very good. We booked for 2 nights with breakfast and arrived on the first day at 9am. We asked if we could have breakfast that morning as we were checking out very early at 4am on the departure day. The booking in clerk said they will provide us with a take away breakfast when we depart. I did not want to carry a takeaway breakfast with us while checking in at the international airport so I asked if we could have breakfast on the day rather then lug the carry breakfast. The clerk needed a lot of persuasion before she agreed after asking the manager. That was a bad start to our stay. The breakfast was very good and that changed our mood. We had a very good stay at the hotel and would come back again. I think the hotel management should use their initiative when a situation like our occurs as it doesn't cost them much to provide a full breakfast rather then a packed breakfast. All we were doing was swopping the breakfast and nit asking for any extra's. That little bit of initiative would have gone a long way if they had a agreed straight away rather refusing in the first place and then I had to insist on them providing it. It made me angry as this should be part of customer service. I hope that they improve on that side and use their initiative.

The room was spacious and comfortable for my stay. The decor isn't the most exciting or the most modern, but it was ample and in fairly decent condition. I didn't really get to use much of the facilities such as the pool or wifi to comment on it. But I do have to note that their service was really exceptional. 1) They offer a grab and go service for breakfast, catering to travelers who may not necessarily have enough time to sit down and have breakfast before rushing off for their meetings or to check out the sights. Something which I'd have to say was really thoughtful. 2) On one of the nights I was at the bar and there was a group of people that were hanging out, and one of them revealed that he was enjoying the last 20mins of his birthday, much to the surprise of his friends who weren't privy to the knowledge before. Shortly after the staff came by and surprised him with a cake, which I thought was a really lovely gesture. 3) I had a late flight to catch and was planning to see the sights before leaving Mumbai after I'd checked out, I'd asked if I could have access to complimentary shower facilities. The reception put up a slight fuss about it saying it wasn't possible, even though the concierge had said it was possible the day before. At my insistence he managed to get it sorted out. I left the hotel and was expecting to have to negotiate my way into getting the shower facilities that was promised earlier when I got back from my sightseeing. To my pleasant surprise everything went without a hitch, and the spa staff were super helpful in ensuring that I had all the assistance I needed. I've heard so many stories about having to deal with hotel staff who are inconsistent in their policies and having to argue your way to get things and generally poor service even in 5 star hotels. The great service I enjoyed made the trip easy and left an impression on me. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend this to anyone else that is looking for a 5 star hot

I had stayed for a considerable time along with a friend of mine at the Ambassador, Mumbai. The 4 star rated property is a part of the chain of heritage hotels, managed by the Narang group. It is conveniently located within a walking distance from the surreal & beautiful 'Queen's Necklace' i.e., the Marine drive near the Churchgate junction. The hotel has a magnificent and old English type lobby with beautiful chandeliers adorning the walls. Valet parking is available. Greeted with warm smiles, the whole check-in was handled with ease by the staff. We were booked on a room on the eight floor with a partial view of the sea, on request. The room was spacious, clean with a mix of modern and old fittings. A simple English type wardrobe with a locker, lcd television with a huge list of cable channels, plug points adaptable to international needs and a spacious bathroom with a tub are standard for the room, which is a deluxe category one. Strangely the mini bar is missing as we were told that the hotel doesn't have a license to serve alchol in the room. During our stay, we were pleasantly pleased with the house keeping services provided. The staff adhered to our each and every needs with a smile. Same goes for the in-room dining. The menu is limited though, with Indian and continental cuisine on offer. There are two restaurants located on the ground floor. Flavors is the buffet serving restaurant and Society is their a la carte restaurant. Breakfast buffet spread is very good serving Indian & continental fare. The one issue I had was with the sambar gravy which was on the sweeter side, but it is subjective as some do prefer the sambar that way. All items are prepared with less oil and there are options for those who prefer fruits & cereals for breakfast. The quality of food served is excellent, especially the tandoor appetizers. I had one of the best & succulent mutton seekh kababs and tandoori prawns over here. Equally admirable are their grilled chicken served with mash

The name Niranta Airport Transit hotel - inside Intl airport suggests that it is easy to access as a transit passenger. However, Jet Airways staff in both London and Mumbai Transit told me that I would have to have a visa to access the hotel. I was unable to access the hotel because it would appear that people I spoke to did not realise that the hotel was accessible from Transit without a visa. This should be easy for you to rectify. I hope that you will consider what I have told you and for future custom address this issue. I would like to stay with you next time I transit through Mumbai but I would like by email the process and protocol for this to happen. Please ensure that my booking fee is refunded as promised by your staff supervisor who I spoke to after getting through immigration and into the transit lounge. I had to pay extra for the privilege of using an airport lounge for sleep and rest, after paying for the Niranta hotel.I would have preferred to stay with Niranta having booked it.

Sea Palace is not a 5 star hotel, but it never claimed to be, so don't expect gaming rooms and gyms etc. For a mid-range hotel it represents excellent value. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We were staying on the sea facing side, so had a lovely view as the sun rose each morning. Air-con worked fine and all basic necessities were provided. We did not have any issues with mosquitoes or any other insects. The highlight of the hotel was probably the restaurant downstairs. The food is slightly more expensive compared with eating outside, but every dish we ordered was VERY tasty and the prices are within reason. Buffet breakfast was different each day, and there was enough variety to keep my wife and I happy. They also have a rooftop bar, where we sat to watch the new years fireworks at Gateway of India. We stayed there in January 2014 and they were renovating probably half of the rooms in the whole hotel, so should be some updated rooms for anyone staying there in the near future.

Where to stay in Colaba that is clean and comfortable but not out of price range? The Gordon House is wonderful: within walking of Gateway of India and Kala Gorda area (hip part of Colaba), WiFi, beautiful western styl e breakfast buffet ( wish they had at least one Maharashtra nasta choice), great shower, candy on bed, refrig, beautiful rooms and simple lobby. Definitely will choose to come back to Gordon Hotel!

Awesome experience.. 10 on 10.. Luxurious resort, big rooms with a tasteful interior.. Great exteriors, bar, spa, gym, the cycles and cycling track was an interesting add-on.. Had the regular stuff like pool table, carrom etc. Oh also a small library.. Restaurant is good too, though food is expensive.. The bar is very good, nice ambiance, again a little costly one may say, but given the location and setting, it is not really expensive.. One negative: the resort is well off the main roads.. The drive to the resort is not easy.. The GPS based route is very problematic (especially if you have a big size car/ SUV), there is an alternate route for which boards exist but not perfectly located - best to call the resort and check the best route..

I booked this room for my parents and sister who were travelling to mumbai for a day. they had an early morning flight to istanbul the next day and had to be close to the airport. their first experience of the city was quite terrible as with all foreigners coming to mumbai for the first time. they were supposed to have airport transfer from the hotel but somehow they cld not see it. they were approached by/ surrounded by lots of people who 'wanted to help'. in the end, they had to pay for a huge taxi fare, etc etc.. however, when they reached the hotel (at 7am in the morn), they were given a room within one hour (even if they were very early for check-in), they were allowed to have breakfast (normally bfast is for the next morning but as they were leaving early the next morn,the hotel allowed them to have bfast the morning they came in). they absolutely loved their room for its size, comfort, etc. they even dined at the hotel and they found the food very good, the service perfect and the bill quite cheap. they say that the hotel has completely changed their earlier impression of mumbai. they cld not use the swimming pool but hope do so maybe at the next stay. they also used a hotel car for a city tour and the driver took them to a lot of interesting places. and upon check-out, they were dropped by the hotel at the airport hassle-free. i wld say thank you Vits!!!

This place is best with first class service. We visited this place during rainy season and scene you can see from hotel is beautiful nature all over. The hotel staff is so helpful and always attentive. The best part of service is they don't have NO word in the dictionary. Hotel location is so best that you can reached almost all hill points easily. They served best and tasty food. I never had the so juicy chicken kebabs in my life. Food they served is like icing on cake of your calm stay. You guys earn one satisfied customer who will only going to visit your resort in Mahabaleshwar. Keep up the good work guys and always be like this.

This was my second stay at Fariyas Hotel. There hotel has upgraded and the rooms are in very good condition. The rooms are well maintained and the bed comfortable. All the facilities exceeded my expectation. The food at the restaurant was very good and delicious. The pool and deck area is well maintained and a great place to relax. The WIFI at the hotel is very good with no problems at all. The staff are very service orientated and go out of their way to assist in all areas. They assisted with booking of taxis and gave good advise to their guests. Overall Fariyas is an excellent choice of accommodation in Colaba Mumbai and I will definitely book again at Fariyas.

This is very much a family resort. We LOVED designing our own trek to Rajmachi, because we prefer to go alone, but I'm sure others might have preferred the group activities already set. We enjoyed the horseback riding and even the dog walking was fun. We would have preferred a no children area, but that doesn't really exist. The spa was also amazing. The massages were some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend!

The Fern is one of the better hotels i stayed in during my stay in India. The staff were very friendly and helpful in dispensing advice for travellers. Rooms were modern, big, spacious and very clean. The toilet was really nice with a hot water and a strong shower head.I looked forward to breakfast every morning as the spread is varied and satisfying even for the most fussy eater. Like most reviewers have stated, although the hotel does not have a gym nor a pool, all hotel guests are able to gain access to a club called the Acres club right outside the hotel. I spend almost half a day in the club playing sports and using its amenities. Last but not least, would like to thank the reception staff including the duty manager who was very helpful when we needed to print our flight handouts and itineraries. They were patient throughout and were very willing to allow us to use their business centres at no costs! Great customer service and definitely worth the money we paid! Will definitely go back to Fern again!

We did not know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised, the check in staff was exceptionally polite and helpful and our rooms on the second floor was spacious with sound proof Windows with a remote control for the curtains and the best bathroom that I have seen on this trip. The breakfast was good, but we decided to have dinner there as they had a roof top bar chm restaurant the food sounded exciting but did not have the right taste the flaming chicken wings was the best and the best cocktail was the candy crush. The swimming pool looked nice but the water was cold. I would definitely go back again

Stayed here last weekend and got a good deal on a budget stay for 2 via Agoda. Reception and staff are courteous (especially Rojmira). The rooms were divine and I absolutely loved the bath installation and drop down blinds that separate the room from the shower. Its perfect for couples and a comfortable (luxurious) weekend stay. Room is very well equipped and service is quick. Also loved the breakfast spread the following day: international and local fare that catered to all tastes and preferences. My partner and I were down with severe viral and yet we managed to rest and rejuvenate during our stay. The staff was kind also when there was some confusion with our booking and number of guests. Special mention to Komal as well for handling it. I wanted to repeat my stay last weekend as well but accidentally booked the RO Golden Suites instead. Will return next time for a weekend again. Thanks Royal Orchid for salvaging what could've been a possibly disastrous weekend for me. :)
