Excellent food!!!! $100 NZD in total for both Superior Queen & Budget rooms via Agoda. Thanks for the great deal. Superior Queen is modern and great for those who want modern room/shower/coffee/fridge/flat screen tv/2 single beds/private deck/parking in front of your room. The decor is in the 1980's but the food is so worth it - we had the large gourmet pizza, lamb ...

Arrived at the stated time on our reservation. Unfortunately our room was not ready.Waited in the lounge - offered a coffee & a tea but had to pay for this whilst waiting. Thought this should of been free. After an hour went to reception & our room was ready - they didn't come and inform us! Room was great with a superb view and clean. Evening dinner was in the Ruapehu...

My stay was absolutely fantastic and I was very happy with the staff but I was extremely disappointed when I was awoken after 12pm at night because the other occupants at the time decided to be extremely loud and have a party. I was rather angry when this went on for a long time and no one from management asked them to be quiet.

The best part of staying at the Adventure Lodge is enjoying the service of the helpful and dedicated staff. They change hats several times a day as they move from front desk to kitchen to transport vans. The restaurant hours are limited, so inform them of your order in advance. It's probably your best bet for breakfast, especially if you are heading out onto the tra...

My wife and I stayed at Kings for a week with our two infant children and were very pleased with the room and the service. Tracy and her staff were very friendly, and went out of their way to keep us comfortable during our stay. They even had toys available for our son to play with while we ate in the restaurant. The room was comfortable, very warm, modern shower and c...

The Powderhorn Chateau was a delightful surprise. The Hotel is in a Beautiful Setting, very close to the quaint "old" part of Ohakune by the railway and at the foot of the road to the mountain. The alpine architecture of the Hotel is superb. The room was spacious with a lovely view across to a stream and the bed extremely comfortable. There were tea and coffee maki...

We loved our stay at Quest Palmerston North. The staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival and departure. The room was well equiped (a big must when travelling with a 12 month old!), very modern and had a lovely view of The Square. We stayed while my husband did the Tour De Manawatu, perfect location for the ride! We would definitely stay there again, but for lon...

A hiccup at check in, but stay went well after. No remote for Freeview (had made it to another room??) Extra blankets, for those that don’t like having the heater on high all the time, may be an option. Room 7, rear hob seems to have just one temperature (temperature does not reduce as numbers do, made cooking rather difficult) Advertises a children’s play area (sign ...

We travelled as a family and was just passing through Palmerston North on our way to Wellington. The stay at this motel was excellent. If we come back to Palmerston North in the future, we would definitely booked with them again. Value for money, very clean unit and very hospitable hosts. You can't go wrong booking here. Ask for a unit away from the main roads for ...

We were staying with our family who were competeing in the Manawatu Age group swimming champs. They are aged 8, 10 & 12 and before a major event like this need a good nights sleep. At approx. 10.15pm I contacted reception to request that they do something about the unacceptable noise happening both out front and behind our room. Whether anything was done seemed to b...

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and tidy and there was a lot of room to relax. There were plenty of towels, the heating was more than adequate and we could not fault anything. It was so close to the shuttle to get to Tongariro, the location was perfect for us. The packed lunch was great and it was convenient. The breakfast was all you could want ...

Only reason it got 4 stars for value is, well, everything could always be a little cheaper eh. And 4 stars for facilities is because the spa pools were 35degrees which is really only a bath, perhaps some maintenance is needed - although it is really cold at the moment. Apart from that an amazing place to stay and I really couldn't recommend it high enough. Word to the ...

We're a family of 3 who decided to break our drive from Taupo to Wellington so we decided to spend the night at Wanganui. This motel is amazing. They have a spa next to your bed, wifi is pretty fast. Staff are friendly and its so easy to access / locate.

Ohakune is not the most exciting place - especially in bad weather. LKNZ Lodge is a really lovely motel and was a nixe hidyhole from the wind and rain! Our room was upstairs and was cosy and clean. We didn't use the hot tub but had we stayed longer (and had there not been a cyclone) we would certainly have hopped in! We had a nice view off the outside landing up to th...

booked with this motel and arrived 10minutes later. great friendly staff (even coming to my room to turn the heat pump on for me). took one look at the room and couldn't believe how cheap it was. massive very clean room with a comfy bed! as a business traveller i spend most weeks staying in motels and i fully believe this is one of the best motels i have so far st...

I was a solo traveler with plans for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing the next day. The reception staff was so friendly and helpful, booking my shuttle for the trip to the start of the Crossing, arranging for breakfast, and getting me oriented to the facility. My room was very clean and a great value for the money. There are great facilities for skiers, but of course I wa...

We based ourselves at Forgotten World Motel for 5 nights. We received a very friendly welcome from the staff and they were always helpful. When considering the reasonable rate we paid for the room, the motel represents good value for money. The room was comfortable, with all basic facilities supplied for a comfortable stay. We did not notice much noise from road traff...

After a long hot day driving, it was great to check-in quickly and relax in the garden area with a cool drink from the bar. The hotel has a pleasant rural outlook and our room was superb being over two floors with a very comfortable bedroom upstairs and lounge area below. A ten minute walk takes you to the town centre where there are numerous restaurants, bars and a ...

The room was clean, new and comfortable. The hotel is located in a quiet area near the center. But better than the room itself was the woman who attended us. She booked us the bus for the Tongariro crossing and came at 7am to tell us that the bus had been cancelled because of bad weather. She was so dissapointed at this that she booked us for the next day (our check ou...

I've stayed here several times & go back because I know exactly what to expect. The units are always well presented... clean & tidy but there is only minimalistic kitchen facilities ... a microwave, toaster & electric jug. There is no sink but the proprietors do the dishes & leave the dinner set complete each day. Bathrooms are roomy with plenty of complimentary toilet...

Disclaimer : I give Staff 5 stars because actually I didn't meet any staffs there, but the check in and check out process was smooth (they have the machine outside for checking in and out), the room was clean, and my overall experience in Safari Motel was amazing! This motel is very complete, with spacious room & bathroom, a great hot water, internet connection and t...

we passed through taihape on the way to wellington staying only one night which was a shame because the hotel was lovely. it was a spacious room with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. both were very clean. the service was great with the hotel manager organising access to our room even at 11.30pm at night and even left us milk for coffee the next morning. we will ...

We booked a private double room with ensuite bathroom. When we came into our room, there were no towels. When we asked about that at the reception, the answer was "We don't put towels in the room. Guests must ask for it.". Strange policy! The kitchen was big enough with everything you need. Unfortunatly, tea and coffee are not provided for free. Wifi is also not ...

Lovely place next to the river. Beautiful grounds with tables to sit outside to eat if we wanted to. Hammocks to lie in and enjoy the garden. Very clean kitchen. Hosts were welcoming and helpful. A fabulous restaurant right next door. I would definitely go back there.

Great hostel! Lovely stuff!! Not comparable to other hostels. You can feel that the owners have put a lot of effort into room amenities. The many wooden furniture make the hostel very homey. Great is also the spa pool - the perfect reward after the Tongariro Crossing. However, you should have a car to come to the great places like the Taranaki waterfall.

this is the closest motel to the ski fields in ohakune. good facilities including a spa pool. decent size kitchen to cater for a large number of people without feeling too crowded. within walking distance is a number of shops / bars / restaurants. would come back again.

Excellent choice to rest before and/or after the Tongariro Northern Circuit! We did our laundry for free, which was really convenient after the tramp. Really nice staff, everything's clean. You can use the kitchen and park the car in front of the hotel. The beds were so comfortable, we loved them!

My husband and I stopped over at Snowy Waters after our Waitomo Glow Worm cave and en route to Wellington. We met the in-charge Cheryl who showed us to our room. The room was clean and decent. In the evening, we had a chat with Cheryl who found out that we were a honeymooning couple. Soon after, we found a tray of sweets and biscuits complimentary to us. We were very ...

We had a very pleasant night at Clyde's. The room is good and cosy, although the bed was very soft. The shared bathroom are clean. The attached restaurant serves meals and drinks. We ordered a pizza Margherita which was quite tasteless unfortunately, but the rest of the menu looked good. The restaurant had a Karaoke night so we could hear it from the room, maybe not ...

- Andre and Songja were super nice and took very good care of us. - The room was nice and comfortable with all you needed. - Added few dollars more and you can enjoy a nice breakfast which was worth for it, I loved the eggs so much. - The environment was very beautiful and natural although the weather was not good during our stay.

The Motel was easy to find in a prominent position. The room was a good size even with the cases. The bathroom made good use of the limited space available and suited us fine. The room was well lit thanks to the window which including the entrance wall covered one wall of the room.

A pleasant relaxing stay in superb surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only improvement to suggest is that the Information booklet includes a map so that places of interest and perhaps dairies and petrol stations can be easily accessed

I have stayed many places in Wanganui for sporting events and thought I would try Burwood Manor Motel. I was impressed with the service from the young lady at Reception. She was very helpful when I had a couple of queries. The unit was clean and tidy and the beds were amazing! I will definitely be back.

I have stayed here before and I loved it the first time. I requested a bigger king size bed and within a few hours a reply was emailed and my request was granted. The room was really comfortable and just right for my husband and I. Thankyou Aztec for a great nights rest that we really needed.

We were in Wanganui for the NZ Masters Games. Ron (the owner) was amazing, nothing was a problem, very helpful and our room was immaculate not to mention the price was very reasonable for 4 star accommodation. We were in close walking distance to town and restaurants and there were three large supermarkets close by. We will definitely stay there again and would highly ...

Good quiet location, set back from the road. No room aircon but a fan was supplied. The tv was a bit small and tv reception was not as good as it should have been. The ranchslider entrance door handle was loose on arrival but my husband tightened it up as he had his toolbox in the car :)

Lovely place next to the river. Beautiful grounds with tables to sit outside to eat if we wanted to. Hammocks to lie in and enjoy the garden. Very clean kitchen. Hosts were welcoming and helpful. A fabulous restaurant right next door. I would definitely go back there.

I arrived at this Motel after a very long trip from UK. The owners went beyond expectations to ensure that I was looked after from the outset. Ownership changed while I was there and the new owners seem every bit as friendly as the outgoing ones - I wish them all the very best in their new venture(s). Would I use it again if I was back in town? Would I recommend it ...

When I made the booking I knew we would arrive late and wanted a quite place to get a good nights sleep before another long day driving. As it turned out we arrived very late (nearly midnight) as a result of a late ferry crossing. The owners were very accommodating and we were able to make arrangements to cover our late arrival. The motel was well set out, clean...

Due to our error in booking the owner was extremely helpful in sourcing other accommodation for me as she went out of her way to help. Returned 2 nights later and enjoyed my stay as unit was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. This is a very good place to stay close to town and local amnesties and rooms are very quiet due to location, would stay again and recommend ...
