Traveling to Malaysia? Find Melaka hotels

Having stayed a couple different hotels in Melaka before, I wasn't expecting much but Swiss-Garden is the best so far. Room is clean and ready by the time we arrived at 6pm. The room is comfortable large and basic amenities is readily available. Although the check in is pretty slow as most of us were paying at the counter but for a pleasant stay, it is pretty much forgiven and forgotten. Didn't had the time to check out the pool but from top view, looks like the kids will be having much fun there. There's a rooftop bar at the top floor which gives a pretty good bird eye view of the city. The location is also quite close to Jonker street which is about 15 mins walk and there's a 7-Eleven close by about 5 mins walk. The hotel is situated adjacent to a mall but dont expect much from it.. but they do have Starbucks.

This hotel is superb! Great location - close to center point (about 10 mins drive) and less traffic. Great room and ambiance with modern designs. Good food although would prefer to have wider range of selection for breakfast. As guest, you will also get a complimentary pass to the skydeck (44th floor) where you'll get the chance to view Melaka in 360'! The hotel sits above Element Mall with MBO Cinemas and others, but bear in mind that there's no much shop in the mall just yet. it shares same parking space with Double Tree & the mall hence do expect full parking at lower floors. All in all, WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK! Thanks!

Privacy The bathroom has see through mirror and yes there a blind provided for privacy but it a bit see through and the sides are not fully covered. For solo travelling is fine but I have family with children and joining later in the week for which privacy is an issue. Breakfast. Choice of fruits perhaps can increase. Plus some option for vegetarian breakfast could be provided especially on the weekend on 19 May 22 May 2016 as this is the period large numbers of Sikh Temple going visitors occupy many hotels in Melaka. The prayers are held every year on the weekend nearest to 25th May.

Pro: easy to locate, 10 min from ayer keroh toll plaza. Nice food, excellent room n ambience totally worth the money and yes, we definitely list this as our top hotel in melaka. Friendly staff always smile and helpfull. Thumbs up👍👍👍 Cons: thou its a new hotel but its already on its way to excel. Had 1 issue with the cleaning staff but the management is very quick to handle the issue and we are very pleased with their hospitality, professionalism and quick action. All the best mudzaffar hotel. We were here for our family day and everyone in the group is happy with the hotel. We will definitely recommended this to our family n friends (we already did that) 😄

What you see in the pictures shown is what you get. The room is clean, tidy, bathroom spacious with bathtub and separate shower area, like it's so spacious different people can shower and bath at the same time (only if you don't mind being seen) and there is still plenty of room. 1. Room - Our room has a balcony facing the melaka river cruise. At night, the view is just breathtaking. and it's windy. pour yourself a cup of wine and just enjoy the city night view 2. Complimentary service - we stayed in the executive floor and were entitled to complimentary English afternoon tea daily. Don't expect fancy things like macaron or madeleine, it's still complimentary item. The hotel is sincere enough to serve it on a beautiful three tier tray. We really felt surprisingly welcomed. 3. Buffet Breakfast - Yes, the breakfast hour is really crowded, you need to queue a bit to wait for table to get inside. that's because it's worth it! their breakfast is delicious, none of those weird tasting hotel food. Nasi lemak is serve with generous choice of rempah ayam goreng (local fried chicken), curry chicken and nyonya chicken. and the replenishment of food is efficient. 4. Shuttle service - The hotel provides shuttle service to Jonker Street and Dataran Pahlawan (shopping mall). This is definitely a great service as Melaka town is always jam and finding parking a hassle. Remember to pre-book your seats if you're planning to take the shuttle. Overall, it's really one of the best hotel I have stayed in. Given the high occupancy, the management and staff still kept the whole place organized, clean and tidy. Will definitely recommend this to anyone who wishes to visit Melaka!

Hotel staffs are always smiling and approachable (front counter, restaurant, logistic, ballroom staff etc) & never say NO to our request. A very pleasant stay with you... I've stayed in different hotels in Melaka before and I am so glad I found this hotel. This hotel is undeniably the best in Melaka. The room was so clean, the beds very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless! The hotel's location is also very strategic that it takes a 15 mins walk to Jonker street, 5 mins walk to a lot of eateries and shopping complexes. To top it off, the price is very reasonable. It's definitely a great place to stay. I'd totally recommend this place to family and friends visiting Melaka.

We decided to go to Melaka but not sure which hotel to book. Saw this hotel at Agoda and decided to give a try. My family and I were very impressed when we entered the hotel. The hotel was new and clean. The bell boy was alert and assisted my daughter who had problem with her luggage (we entered from side door as we parked away from the main entrance). The check-in and check-out were very smooth. I had requested for connecting room during booking and was told not available. The staff was very helpful and upgraded my room for free and gave me connecting room. The corridor was fully carpeted and cosy. Rooms were spacious. The fittings were modern and luxurious. We were impressed and don’t believe that its 3 stars hotel ( especially compared to the hotel we just left. U can read my previous review). Bathroom was spacious with 2 separate basins and a bath tub. There was rain shower too. My daughters loved their rooms so much. There was a bathtub with modern blinds. Staffs- friendly and helpful. Facilities- There was children & adult pool, jacuzzi and sauna. There was a night market near the hotel that night. So many shop near by and 10 mins walk to nearest shopping centre. Breakfast was acceptable for the price we paid but can be improved. Carpark- free parking as hotel staff will issue parking coupons to hotel’s guest. Its open carpark but hotel provide umbrella if it rains. Overall , it was a pleasant experience to stay in this hotel. Will definitely book here again if we visit Melaka and recommend to others. (My daughter said she doesn’t want to share with her friends as she wants to keep it as her private gate away).

My stay at 1825 is one of the most pleasant experiences of all my travels across SEA. This place is warm and the interiors are carefully selected and aptly placed making the hallways ethnic yet minimal. The location is walking distance to Jonker street and Dutch centre. The staff are warm and hospitable and extremely friendly. I would totally recommend this place and I am definitely choosing this place every time I visit Melaka, though the reservations have to be done in advance as they fill up quite fast. P.S. They charge heritage tax on arrival which is 12RM and it is not mentioned in the booking notes. It ain't much but it always best to be prepared.

We were staying at hotel superior room. We requested king size bed and the room is quite big and ok. The fridge was spoiled but they changed a good one after I informed the staff. The cleaner came to clean our room when we were away and we left our laptop and iPad in the room. Nothing missing. :) Honest cleaners. Breakfast is not in the same building, we have to walk to the club house, walking distance about 5mins. I brought my own mini rice cooker to cook porridge for my son as he has multi food allergies. I think if you have kids, it’s best if you can drive a car. At least any emergency, you don’t need to wait and you can drive to the destination immediately, but make sure your GPS is working perfectly. If you are driving, you can purchase the ingredients or stuffs from Tesco Melaka Cheng (you can find it in google map). Tesco has almost everything, but the driving distance is about 30mins from A Famosa Resort. The first day, We managed to go to their water park, but the water condition is not very clean, sunblock lotion is needed as the sun is extremely hot, it was about 34-40 degree celsius, so we were keep looking for a shade... We went to their “Old West”, it’s a cow boy village that having some small games for you to earn points and redeem your prize, there has Red Indian fire show and some cow boy performance. We were planning to go Safari, but after checking the weather is about 40 degree celsius, we decided to cancel it, because it will be too hot for us sitting in the cage truck and visit those wild animals without fan or air con, was afraid we will get stroke as we are having a 3 years old child. We booked the garden suite for a night, and i must say honestly, i am impressed. Looks exactly as pictured and i personally did not notice a speck of dirt in the room. Well-maintained and cleaned. To be fair, the hotel is fairly new so let's hope that they can upkeep their standards of cleanliness in the years to come. The staff of the hotel were generally very friendly. The hotel had adequate facilities, like a pool and the lobby was a nice place to chill out. The reason why i rated the hotel down was that i had initially tried booking rucksack caratel via its website. Unlike the usual hotels, where there's a platform to automate the procedure, it was done through email correspondence. It is kind of a hassle but that didnt deter me from booking the hotel. I was put off by the fact that the website had promotions that were falsely advertised. When I first corresponded with Rucksack's staff, she informed me that only one of the promotion was currently available, to which i then wanted to book already. Shortly after, another staff emailed me that the first staff which had corresponded with me had misinformed me. Despite the unavailability of the promotion, i had wanted to go ahead with the booking. Before i confirmed the booking with my credit card booking, i enquired about the cancellation/refund policy twice. Both times, the staff conveniently ignored my questions, which was frustrating. Alas, i decided to avoid the hassle altogether and booked the room through Agoda. In my opinion, the hotel could have done better in terms of customer service. There is a lack of consistency and communication between their staff. The staff is not adequately trained. (The second staff mistook my booking date despite me explicitly stating in the email the dates i was keen in + conveniently ignoring my questions). It is too much of a hassle to book through their website with little to no information provided prior to booking their hotel, which i think is pretty important. I do see

This is my first stay in this newly opened hotel in Melaka. The staff were friendly and helpful and alway greeted us with sincere smiles, something rare to see in another part of peninsular Malaysia. The room was spacious, mine was a Straits Suites which overlooking Straits of Melaka, hence the name of this hotel because no matter where your room at, either at left or right aisle, still you can see the Straits Of Melaka from the large glass plate window. However, the management should consider subscribing few Vision 4 channels for room entertainment since the one and only Fox Movie Premium channel still can't suffice the craving of in-room movie entertainment especially enjoying at midnight. The plus point, especially for Singaporeans, this hotel provides all MediaCorps TV channels. The pool, though a bit chilly because it was built on the topdeck of the building,provides bird's eye view of Melaka city and its surroundings. This hotel is a stone's throws away from shopping malls and tourist attractions, a walk through shophouses lane is not that tiring, though may be sweat a bit under scorching noon sun. Ample parking is available. I will definitely return to this hotel the next time I go to Melaka few weeks to come!

- great, great location - right gobsmack in the centre of ayer keroh - surrounded by tourist attractions in ayer keroh; zoo melaka, butterfly park, crocodile park, taman malaysia, etc - surrounded by shops, markets, mamak places and facilities outside the hotel - very near to ayer keroh toll plaza - close to other commercial areas and shopping malls which have karaoke, cinema, shooting range, food stalls & restaurants, shops, funfair, clubs, etc - food and service are good - the hotel is quite cozy, clean, quaint and peaceful - close driving distance to jasin, melaka city, batu berendam airport & other places in melaka - one of the best places to stay in ayer keroh - definitely one of the best value-for-money hotels in melaka

I had a lovely one night stay in Melaka (I live in Singapore, and went over just for a weekend getaway). The room exceeded my expectation, it was large and luxury. The location of the hotel was very good as well, in the heart of Little India. I didn't try the breakfast in the hotel, which could be purchased separately, as there were sufficient food options outside the hotel and took my breakfast at Selvam just across the road. It was a 5 minutes walk to the historical area of Melaka and a 7 minute walk to Jonker Street from the hotel. Equally, it was only 7 minutes to Bukit Cina and around 10-15 minutes to the shopping malls, if you prefer that. The staff was friendly and helpful and helped me to book a taxi and check availability at the restaurant (Nancy's kitchen - Peranakan food) where I was planning to eat dinner. The only improvement that I can suggest is for the hot water at the shower / jacuzzi. I could only get lukewarm water following the instructions on the wall. When the technician came over, he had to twist and turn the knob several times and the water got a bit warmer, but still not exactly hot. For enjoyment of a jacuzzi, hot water is a must, and lukewarm just doesn't make it enjoyable. Otherwise I had a very nice stay and will definitely recommend it to friends and stay again next time I visit Melaka!

Great hotel in Melaka. The lobby was excellent as well as the staff, and the rooms were also at a quality to match. The rooms were so comfortable and very spacious, and all of this came at a great price. It's close enough to the tourist areas with just a short taxi ride away. The only downside was every time I called the lobby to get a taxi, the taxi took 30 min or more to arrive, but that's hardly a reflection on the hotel so much as the taxi service in Melaka.

You just can't beat this position. It right on the canal and so easy to walk 3-5 mins to Jonker st. Hard Rock cafe is around the corner, which is fun for dinner and to watch some live music, if you've done the local food tour. This is our favourite hotel in Melaka, we will probably not choose anywhere else..go out for dinner yet make sure you have the breakfast in the hotel, its excellent.

The room was great and value for money, the service and the staff was nice, the location is awesome unless u want to go to the cuty which could be quite a diatant, parking is easy, wifi so so but acceptable, plus they have this cheao and delicious steamboat, rm50 for one group between 4-6 people which is cheap , in conclusion great hotel and i would definitely stay here if going back to melaka

SG1 may be one of the best and most affordable hotels in Melaka. We stayed for a few days and could easily have stayed longer. It’s a 10 minute walk to the centre and situated in a fairly quiet part of the town. If you are walking you need to walk past the old Hotel Equatorial and it’s a few minutes walk on the right hand side. The hotel itself is modern, incredibly clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and although we had a studio - the smaller rooms still looked a really nice size. They provide complimentary nibbles and drinks every day. Internal soundproofing is also very good and you can’t hear anything from adjoining rooms. What makes SG1 the place to return to are the staff who are kind, polite, professional and caring. They welcome you with such warmth. There are so many hotels in this city now that the choice can be astounding however SG1 is up there with the very best. Sending our love to all of the staff.

I am just back from Melaka with family, which we stay in Euro Rich Hotel Melaka. overall we would rate the hotel excellent because of the hotel room was very neat and clean. The service was also good as the counter staff was polite and friendly. The only thing to improve is the food provided in the breakfast buffet, ie; ingredients for nasi lemak like ikan bilis, eggs, ham. That would be excellent. The distance between the hotel and the tourist attraction and shopping malls is at very neared distance( about 5 to 10 mins walk) I would recommend this hotel to my friends if they are looking for a hotel to stay in melaka.

The location is superb, it is just at the end of jonker street. Free parking is provided, staffs are friendly and helpful. The bed is quite comfy, the room is clean as well. The only downside is the sound proof, I can hear VERY LOUD 'water flowing through the pipe' sound at night (around 1.30am) as the next door neighbor were having their shower and I can hear the noise of hairdryer. The noise made me and my sister wake up in the midnight and hard for me to sleep back again. I called the night shift staff regarding the issue, she just came up to my room and check, then tell me maybe the next door forgot to turn off the heater, that's all, no follow up after that. I might not coming back as the sound proof was really killing my sleeping quality. :( Otherwise this is an excellent hotel in melaka.

i have booked a deluxe room but there stated it will be either double bed or two single beds. as there is no “special request” column in agoda for this hotel, therefore upon checkin we requested for a double bed. the receptionist told us that we should’ve done the special request when we were booking through agoda and the double bed for deluxe rooms had already fulled, so he upgraded us to the suite room 👍🏻 the location here is nice, nearby to everywhere, jonker, melaka raya, dataran pahlawan and so on, all are reachable within 5 to 15 mins. however, the room is a bit dusty, the towels and bed sheets have yellow stain on it and they look old, and parking space is big but not sufficient during peak seasons especially when you come back to the hotel at night. overall are ok, i would definitely come back again 👍🏻
