The location is great, it makes up for the fact that the hotel needs serious updating. But for the money you can’t beat that you can walk to all places downtown. The pool area is nice, bar is decent.
Staff is friendly, especially the Indian manager. They always greet with you when seeing you at the elevators. Room is clean but the bed and comfort have strong smell of disinfectant, which means cleanliness I think... Room was very good; close to city center
It was a great room at a great price. If there are tables and chairs available in the pool area why not have them available for each of the rooms with access to the pool. We were there for nine nights and not once was a table and chairs set available for my family to enjoy the pool area. Also, what do we do with all of the large pizza boxes? There are no containers...
We always book our hotel in Birch Run and we were a little confused whether it actually was Best Western or Magnuson Hotel. I asked the lady at the front counter and she did tell us, that Magnuson was not part of Best Western. We had a great stay, everything was clean and the room was nice. If and when we go again, we will definitely book at Magnuson.

Price reflects this is a basic hotel, but fine for a one night stay. Breakfast was an environmental disaster, everything was unneccesarily plastic and disposable. It made me feel uncomfortable eating it.

Very nice hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms and premises were very clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub were sparkling clean. The location was convenient to University of Michigan North Campus, with plenty of shopping and amenities close by. Our room was completely quiet - I never heard another person. Rooms were rough. Beds left a lot to be desired. Sheets were thin and cheap anf comforter thin. Pillows were small and buckets in the hallway to catch water. Staff was nice and breakfast was typical hotel waffles cereal and yogurt. At one time it was nice but seems like current owners have cheaped out in an effort to squeeze every last penny out.

My suggestion would be to keep the pet travelers at the end of the building. This is a great hotel to stay in Allen Park Area. Though its little out of the way, but the stay is comfortable. Its a value for money !! Has a restaurant serving food. The warm breakfast (though same everyday) is good. There is a heated pool for those who will like to take a lap. The housekeeping is very good. Loved the stay here.

I have stayed here every year for the past five years. It is the least expensive, but has many of the amenities of other motels, e.g., refrigerator, microwave, tissue, flat screen TV with cable service, hair dryer, coffee maker. It is a small room and washroom. There is coffee, orange juice, and a bagle in the morning in the office.

I've used this hotel several times when I had an overnight layover. It's comfortable and convenient to the airport. It also has a sandwich shop in the gas station across the street and a Big Boy restaurant within walking distance. It's certainly not a luxury hotel, but it's perfect for a value-conscious overnight layover.

The hotel was very nice and Kris at check in was very helpful. I was disappointed that they didn’t offer a late check out considering it was marathon weekend. Most hotels offer an earlier breakfast and an hour later check out when there is a marathon being held. I called the hotel after the run and was told they wouldn’t do it. Everything went well except for the MEAN security officer going into the airport. I was told he was always like that! But makes the hotel look bad since he made me so upset and he was just RUDE.
Booked with Agoda with no breakfast and need to pay $14 for breakfast, if I book on its own websit, only $10 more for two... receptions said I cannot upgrade since I booked with Agoda. I will definitely check its own website before confirm the booking. By the way, the room rate was same and I did not save any with Agoda...
For $300 a night, and 4 star, there was no mini-bar, no bell service, no concierge, and the lifts are individual, so a really inefficient way of using them. We enjoyed our stay but the beds were too soft and pillows too high. It was right next to the marina we were using, but for what we paid, it was not worth it.
My stay at the Marv Herzog was very nice. The location was very nice - right in the heart of Frankenmuth. It was easy to walk to all the stores and sights from this hotel. Also, there was free underground parking. The hotel itself was very quaint and cozy. It was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We chose Nader’s for our four day, October color tour because of the good reports. We were not disappointed! Our unit appeared professionally constructed and decorated. The staff that we spoke with (two ladies in the office and a maintenance man working outside) were friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend Nader’s.

My best friend and I returned to Detroit for the jazz festival. The Greektown Casino Hotel is a short walk to all of the festivities. the price was excellent. It is close to the Fox Theater as well as the sports arenas. The staff there is friendly and helpful.
