Moskva Federal Subject hotels & places to stay

Everything was great until I was stopped by police( ФМС) to check my doc. hotel stay address, they call it “registration” Even I was given the document that says I’m registered, It wasn’t in the the system of the ФМС. It’s important to be registered when you are traveling to Russia and hotel is responsible to provide you this! They did but it end up to be Fake! The rest was great, hotel deserves its stars! Breakfast is good, people are very friendly, they have free shuttle every hour to take you to the metro station and back to the hotel.

This hotel is a really great choice. First, it's affordable. Second, it's located in a really great spot. The Izmailovsky Market is right next to it, so you can go shopping and being all of your things back to your hotel before going somewhere else. There are also lots of other little shops and restaurants around and the metro is very close. The metro is only 5 stations from the Red Square which is super convenient. It was also very comfortable. The bed and the pillows were so comfy. However, I will say it was a bit noisy as I could hear a band playing from the street. Also, the staff was very helpful. The can speak English and are able to help you with any questions you have. I really recommend this hotel.

Firstly the location is the best of Moscow for a tourist...central and aristocrat!!At the other side this hotel has the glamour of the past 50 + years but now a renovation is a need.The more unacceptable thing is that there is not any blind curtains and specially from the eastern windows the sun is coming to the room awaking you at the sun rise...at 4.30-5.00 am as we speak about Moscow ending August...Another bad thing for this hotel is the rude security personnel that without any responding when you say hi or good morning they are behaving to the clients as suspects for spy etc...with the worst,never existing in any hotel of the world of 1 up to luxury...the security stop us to take a picture of the furniture -without any person inside...-at the lobby!!!!

We stayed at the hotel for 1 week over the New Years celebration .... As always you get for what you pay ... Excellent value for money but expect some negatives: - Consierges very rude and give miss, looks like annoyed at every question and given wrong informations all the time. - Poor Amenities - Limousines (BMW) too, too old - Restaurant only one and F/B quality is just up to standard for a 5* - Chlorine in swimming pool way too high ! Other then that, there is lovely staff around the hotel especially on front desk and at the restaurant ... The view and the location are without doubt the best in Town! (If you don't want spend top notch $ around Red Square. Would stay again because over all we liked ...

Don't expect a smile or politeness of western standards from anyone in the hotel! Excellent view from the suites. Cool with a tub in the room! Breakfast buffet is not included despite the price! But it is sent as roomservice for an acceptable price. Fresh orange juice is recommended. All channels except CNN is in russian, nice LED-flatscree s though. It promises l'occitane make up in luxury suites but they are not there. It only provides basic shampo, showergel and toothbrush. Rooms were cold in december but they have heaters. Two bottles of free water and tea is provided. I expected more of the hotel, especially a smile for €200/night but all in all I think it was a good stay.

It's my first time in this Hotel and I have to say that everything is more than OK. I was in a Junior Suit, incredibly confortable and clean. Staff is nice and very friendly. It's near to Metro Station so it's easy to get fast to the center of Moscow. All around there are green zones... It's one of the best Hotel in Moscow if you consider what You pay and what You get. PERFECT

Fantastic. The best place to start our trip. The staff members are very professionals and attentive. Very good and fluent in english. The hotel is sharing the location area with the Moscow World Center. To go to the main landmarks of the city of Moscow, there are 2 Metro stations near the hotel. The neigbourhood is safe and very quiet. Many local restaurants, markets, etc., at walking distance. We have a great service and very willing to help staff.

The rooms are tiny in this hostel, but clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very useful, it has everything you need, fridge, cooker, kettle, microwave etc. The shower was clean, good water pressure and hot all the time. We didn't use the washing machine, but I think it is very handy too. very basic, but it worth the money you pay. We stayed there summer time, can't tell if it's warm or not during cold seasons. The girl who worked there was very nice and kind. If you too fussy you might not like it as some guests are not cleaning the toilet after use and you can see splatters which I didn't like, but that was a short stay and not hostel's fault. Overall I would recommend you the place.

This particular Izmailovo hotel goes under Best Western brand and it ads quality ( I have stayed in other buildings before so can compare). Very friendly and helpful staff, buffet breakfast was just great with wide selection and options of cold and hot courses. Room price includes also access to pool and fitness in fitness center building right next to it (which was not advertised at time of booking). Room was very good quality, clean. Hotel location is very convenient for getting around, because it is right accross the street from metro station and it is 15 - 20 minutes ride to center (depending on destination). From my experience I would give more than 3* to the hotel.

The location is just perfect, near to Paveltskaya Railway station (Aeroexpress to Airport and Railway to St. Peterburg) and also in between 2 metro station (Paveletskaya and Tretyakovskaya). The hotel staff also give us good recommendation to few good restaurant in this area, which were really tasty. The hotel also have sauna and hammam bath facilities that can be used (free of charge) with appointment. It also walkable to Kremlin area (about 3 km or 20 minutes walk)

I booked the same double queen-bed room on two separate check-in dates in the same week. The room on our first check-in date was exactly the same as advertised on Agoda. I was very happy. Staff speaks good English. The hotel is literally above Mendeleevsky metro station - 3 stops to red square and Kremlin. But, when we came back from St Petersburg and re-checked in the same room I booked, the hotel put us in a different room that had one queen bed and a single bed. I phoned the reception to ask why, and the manager told me because of overbooking resulted from technical problems, they had no other rooms available. I argued and didn't buy the story because this had never occurred to me in any other hotels before. They offered another room but it had a queen size sofabed instead. I didn't want a sofabed so I chose to stay in the room provided. I couldn't bother pursuing a further resolution because I was due to leave Russia the next day. Except from this experience, I was generally happy with the services provided. Does a hotel have the right to change your room without notifying you beforehand? Has this occurred to you?

I and my mom went to Moscow for New Year Countdown. It's just a short trip 5days and 4nights. We went to Moscow with Russia's National Airline named Aeroflot. I didn't done a lots of research because we didn't have plan to go outside of Moscow. The hotel gave us a very good service. Even we booked a very cheap room that was on sale. Everyday they leave a ton of paper on the bed. Warning us the mext day temperature, thank you and they r so proud that we chose to stay with them. Everyday they leave chocolates on our big king size bed. I and my mom really LOVE the care products in the bathroom. WATERL'EAU is a brand that only provides in Starwood Hotel Collection. The scent of lotion is smell very nice. My mom said that her hair was really smooth after she used the shampoo. (Of course, it's Unlimited !!!) The security is quite good. They r not allow any outsider walked into the hotel. They can remember every customer's face in the hotel.

The hotel is great although my 4 day stay was unfortunately marred by a Yandex taxi and staff security at Soho Rooms nightclub stealing my mobile phone, expensive designer glasses and a reasonable amount of cash. On my return to the hotel, the staff called the police and they came swiftly to make a statement (I'd waited an hour outside Soho Rooms and called 3 times but no officers came... I'll let you make your own minds up as to why that didn't happen!). Later, a very honest police officer told me personally, little will be done about the offence as the Mafia who own Soho Rooms actually own the police!! My advice is, DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR SOHO ROOMS and do not show high value currency notes to ANYBODY. The taxi drivers, security staff and, dare I say, the police in that particular jurisdiction are all in cahoots with each other. No doubt The following day I had to go to the Police station to make a further statement but I needed to take my own interpreter as the police could not provide an English speaking officer to assist with my report. Maria Kushch who works on reception was incredibly helpful. She was genuinely concerned about my wellbeing and safety and went above and beyond her duty to make sure I was looked after. She arranged for a colleague to accompany me to the station as well as calling a few hours later to make sure I was safe and well and was still on time to make my return flight home. My only complaint would be that the room service menu and food is outrageously priced and should be avoided at all cost. Make sure you eat elsewhere if you get hungry. With all that said, it's a beautiful hotel and should be taken advantage of whilst it's more cost effective to stay there in these current times. I'd like to thank Maria once again for her kind assistance. A real genuine, lovely member of staff.

I have one thing to write here. I booked a Superior Double that by being superior affords you a 'city view' - view of the street outside. However the drawback with this is that the street-facing rooms look across the road to a bar with two entrance doors. The bar is open 24/7 and in order to advertise the fact to passing people play music from loudspeakers over each door all night and into the day. Sleep was impossible. I rang reception at 2am and asked when the noise would die down. There was a groan and the receptionist said she would phone the club and ask for a reduction in the noise. No noise reduction happened as I was expecting it would - hour upon hour. If this happens to you, insist immediately on a room change to the back of the hotel as I guarantee the nose will never stop. I was changed the next day a smaller room with just a velux window for natural light but what bliss. Sleep.
