We had a wonderful stay at the Green Park Resort. We were exceptionally supported by , one of the front desk staff. The facilities are stunning, especially in contrast to other places both here in Chitwan and across the country. We loved the restaurant and encourage you to try some of the Nepalese food a la carte. Our favorite dishes in Nepal came in the simple, but we...

You might have heard about hybridized travel modes like “Glamping” or “Flash Packing”, but I believe the Barahi Jungle lodge has conceptualized & mastered an entirely new breed of travel experience called ‘Glodging”. I would highly recommend Sapana Village Lodge in Chitwan! The room was very clean and spacious. The dining area was very spacious and had a very quiet environment, overseeing a small river and the forest area. In between your jungle activities, you can head back to the hotel garden or dining area to read a book, listen to some music and enjoy the peace there. The h...

I had paid in advance for a confirmed booking on 15.06.2019 . Request was also put for an early check in. When I reached the hotel, I was simply refused a room saying that all rooms are full . I had to look out for an alternate hotel nearby and fortunately got a room there . What happens to my money which I had paid in advance .

we stopped over for a night, we all thoroughly enjoyed the facilities. Staffs were great and food choices are very good. Although a little outdated, require some attention in the bathroom and in general infrastructure. However a great facility especially outstanding swimming pool (one of the best in Nepal). Strongly recommended to all ages.

We arranged a taxi pick up for our early arrival from KTM and also had early check in. Khumar, the owner, was amazing at helping us put together our tours to Chitwan and to experience the Tharu culture. His prices were better than the tours with a website that I had been looking at and the guides were very informative and personable. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here,...

Given that Sauraha is in Chitwan district and part of the hot terai belt of Nepal, I conciously booked a hotel with a swimming pool this time. Travelling with adult kids and a grand child, we really enjoyed the pool. The hotel rooms were also nice, though a bit stuffy after the monsoon I suspect. Staff were very nice and helpful. The coffeeshop attached to the hotel s...

Location of lodge is terrible. It takes about 45 minutes walk to the center of town where restaurants and national park entrance are located. The lodge has a shuttle, but they not provide rides unless you are in an activity arranged by the lodge. Taxi is not an option since they don't exist in that town. The rooms are not good either. Hotel Parkside is an awesome place to stay! The staff are experienced and friendly, the food is good, and the location is great. The hotel is really community oriented and offer great jungle tours (we saw 2 rhinos on the walking tour!). Definitely the best place to stay in sauraha.

One of the few things that really bother us in Nepal is the supply of hot shower water. And this is still the case when staying in this hotel. The solar energy heating wasn't working that well at all and it was freezing to shower with cool water at night. One of my friends who stayed in the same hotel even caught a cold because of that. But the good thing is that the b...

Considering the alternatives in the area (cheaper and dirtier, or vastly overpriced), Hotel Parkland is a good alternative. I would suggest booking with the hotel directly, as their packages that included tours and food were less expensive. The room was clean, internet okay (when the power was on and it was working), 24 hour hot water (although the pressure was a bit l...

We loved our stay at Unique Wild Resort: the garden setting was lovely and a great space for our toddler to run free in. The restaurant food, although slow (like all places in Nepal!) was delicious and the staff fantastically friendly and helpful. The resort is a little out of town in a gorgeous rural setting, and only a few minutes walk into Sauraha. While we were the...

Overall, my stay was quite good. The staff did an amazing job to help keep me busy with lots of fun activities, which I appreciated as a solo traveler. I spent 2-3 days here in the beginning of December. If you are looking at this property, you are here for Chitwan National Park. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I ended up turning up at 2am though I warned them more around midnight. They were still kindly waiting up for me and greeted me with a smile and helped me with my bags. I was most pleasantly surprised by this hotel. One should not consider the properties in Sauraha to be jungle lodges - the area is too built up for that - I call it Thamel on the edge of the jungle, complete with Bob Marley and heavy rock blaring out over the forest! This was reinforced by the presence at the Hotel of a Tata incentive group complete with DJ. We escape...
