This was one of the best hotel we stayed in throughout our 18 days journey in New Zealand. The staff was attentive and friendly. When the receptionist was busy with another visitor, the manager/supervisor from the room came out straight away to service us. This happened twice to us. We were given a room with one queen bed and a single bed. The room was huge and clean w...

Room wasn't really clean. Glasses, plates and spare pillows and blankets needed a good clean. There were old coffee cup stains on bedside table and dining table. Carpet wasn't vacuumed when room was serviced. Wifi was limited to 500mb per day with the option to purchase more which seemed a little cheap. Definitely not the standard I've experienced at other Quest hotels...

We really liked our night here when in Nelson. One of our fave backpackers in NZ! The staff were friendly and knowledgable. The room was really nice. Excellent, friendly, good value motel. Spacious, good self catering facilities and close to local super market. Close to main highway, good location for exploring Abble Tasman region, handy for beach at Rabbit Island, 10 minute drive into Nelson.

It was really nice to stay at Phill's place. We enjoyed the nice surroundings, walking options and the bike tour to Rabbit Island. Phill is a very nice host who makes his best to accommodate our needs. The breakfast was really good as well as the food in the testaurant The Three Rooms, located at 10 min walking in the center of Richmond. I would definitely recommend t...

We had stayed at Queenstown, Dunedin and Christchurch as we were on a drive holiday and Nelson was our next stop. The beds at all the other hotels were very uncomfortable. We had such a good night's rest at the Trailways in Nelson that instead of leaving early in the morning for Hokitika, we slept in and left a lot later as none of us really wanted to get out of bed. Price was a little high but NYE certainly put all the Nelson hotel prices through the roof! It will be my accommodation of choice on my next stay! :)

I was very happy with my stay at the Riverlodge Motel. Setup of the rooms made the space feel private and spacious. This was definitely one of the accommodation highlights of our trip to the NZ South Island and we would love to return one day! Thank you very much Karel and David!

This hostel is filthy and overcrowded and the more bodies they can get in, the better for their profit. I was eaten alive by bedbugs that were so large, that they were all over the sheets in the morning when I got up due to me grabbing them and smashing them with my fingers. I brought a pillow down to the lady manager, and she never apologized, but kept stating that th...
