chelsea park is well positioned in nelson and is within walking distance of the town centre with easy access to shops and restaurants. the rooms are clean and smart and the owners are extremely helpful. i will certainly stay again when i am next in nelson

This hotel was very clean and updated. Loved the patio our room came with, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom even had a towel warmer! We loved this hotel. Check in was quick and our room was ready to go. Wish we could have stayed a few more nights on our trip. Would definitely recommend this for anyone staying in Nelson!

This was one of the best hotel we stayed in throughout our 18 days journey in New Zealand. The staff was attentive and friendly. When the receptionist was busy with another visitor, the manager/supervisor from the room came out straight away to service us. This happened twice to us. We were given a room with one queen bed and a single bed. The room was huge and clean w...

Room wasn't really clean. Glasses, plates and spare pillows and blankets needed a good clean. There were old coffee cup stains on bedside table and dining table. Carpet wasn't vacuumed when room was serviced. Wifi was limited to 500mb per day with the option to purchase more which seemed a little cheap. Definitely not the standard I've experienced at other Quest hotels...

We really liked our night here when in Nelson. One of our fave backpackers in NZ! The staff were friendly and knowledgable. The room was really nice. All the sewn/hanging bug beetle decorations are a great touch. There was even two chocolates in the shapes of bugs on the bed when we arrived! Such a lovely touch!! The wi-fi was fast and reliable. We didnt use the kitche...

Excellent, friendly, good value motel. Spacious, good self catering facilities and close to local super market. Close to main highway, good location for exploring Abble Tasman region, handy for beach at Rabbit Island, 10 minute drive into Nelson.

It was really nice to stay at Phill's place. We enjoyed the nice surroundings, walking options and the bike tour to Rabbit Island. Phill is a very nice host who makes his best to accommodate our needs. The breakfast was really good as well as the food in the testaurant The Three Rooms, located at 10 min walking in the center of Richmond. I would definitely recommend t...

We had stayed at Queenstown, Dunedin and Christchurch as we were on a drive holiday and Nelson was our next stop. The beds at all the other hotels were very uncomfortable. We had such a good night's rest at the Trailways in Nelson that instead of leaving early in the morning for Hokitika, we slept in and left a lot later as none of us really wanted to get out of bed. A...

In one word, amazing! If you are looking at this place on Agoda (and trust me, we trawled through Agoda painfully for hours) and wondering if it is a good place, just book it! You will not regret it! We travelled around the whole of the south island and no hotel come close. The rooms are luxurious and gorgeous. They are spotlessly clean and the staff are super eff...

Once again our thanks to Helen, Robin and their trusty team who make things so easy. We stay in Nelson at least once a month and can guarantee that the standard of the rooms and helpfulness of staff is always of a consistently high standard. Thanks so much for looking for and keeping safe out 11yr old son's rugby ball which we left behind. It is the things like that, t...

Was extremely impressed with the facility and its modern and ergonomic chattels. Jenny and Murray were extremely friendly and assisted in all facets of my stay. Highly recommend this property. Price was a little high but NYE certainly put all the Nelson hotel prices through the roof! It will be my accommodation of choice on my next stay! :)

Not far away from the Intercity bus station - a 5 minutes walk only. Google map does not know where. I was there on a Friday. Next to the hostel is a nightclub. So it was noisy. But with earplugs no problem. The owner was very friendly and he told me about the noise. If you use earplugs a very nice place to stay.

I was very happy with my stay at the Riverlodge Motel. Setup of the rooms made the space feel private and spacious. Location was also great - just a few blocks from the downtown area of Nelson, just a few blocks the other way towards the Queens Gardens and Center of New Zealand, and just a hop across the river to a grocery store, coffee shop, and a couple of restaurant...

We had a great stay at Cambria House. Karel was very helpful and provided advice once we had booked, as well as during our stay. The cooked breakfast was great, and we loved the luxurious room. This was definitely one of the accommodation highlights of our trip to the NZ South Island and we would love to return one day! Thank you very much Karel and David!

This hostel is filthy and overcrowded and the more bodies they can get in, the better for their profit. I was eaten alive by bedbugs that were so large, that they were all over the sheets in the morning when I got up due to me grabbing them and smashing them with my fingers. I brought a pillow down to the lady manager, and she never apologized, but kept stating that th...

We booked the cheapest room, if we have to go again i will book for a bigger room with a view of nelson, this house was build in 1876 so its really really old, but the owners maintain the design of it, old phones , a big classy bathtub , and the breakfast were awesome you've got a big kitchen with plenty stuff to cook nd eat, it was great .

A brilliant place to stay. Room incredible, everything you need and more!Beautiful toiletries, great Tuatara coffee each day, laundry facilities in room, amazing shower with different options, super comfy huge bed with electric blankets and wow so warm with a really efficient heat pump, sky tv and very close to town. We honestly could not believe the value we got - tha...

size of our room was ok. the linen which was provided looks really old and worn out. was kind of uncomfortable as it it looks suspiciously unclean. slept on the pillows covered with our t-shirts instead! kitchen was great with plenty of space and utensils to accommodate a number of people at the same time. plenty of bathrooms as well. for those who are driving, please ...

This is a very nice hostel!!! The dorm rooms are spacious and clean. The building is very nice and in a beautiful style. The staff is very helpfull and friendly and the facilities are just amazing! Other then that, the location is fine, the bar downstairs is very cosy and it's not noisy at all. A really good option if you're in sunny Nelson!!!

This was one of my favourite places I’ve stayed in in New Zealand. I stayed for 3 nights in a private room. The decor is classic but clean and functional. The owners were brilliant and went out of their way to answer all of my questions and give advice on local activities and such. Well equipped kitchens, comfy bed. The owner even leant me an old bike to cycle into tow...

We loved our five day stay in Nelson at the “Joya Garden” studio which was a very cozy private and romantic set-up with a wonderful wood burning fire place – a real “jewel”. We appreciated Paulina’s hospitality, advice and healthy gourmet breakfast which included a tasty unique herb omelet accompanied by a variety of homemade breads, jams, humus, dried fruits, muesli...

I'll admit I had not read properly that this is part student accommodation and part motel but my worries about noise were unfounded. The room was quiet and warm. Excellent receptionist was very helpful. She threw in free wifi and took care of our bags after we checked out. The motel was an easy walk away from shops and cafes. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of hot wat...

All Black weekend in Nelson. Free bus back from the park went right past our door. Very handy location to the airport and golf course which we played at. Great breakfast opportunity down the road at Montieths, KFC and Maccas nearby. Staff looked after our rooms while we were away with a spruce up. Did the trick nicely. Thanks from the team.

We stayed in Nelson 2 days in February to visit Abel Tasman National Park. This lodge is located in a central position, walking distance from the city centre, supermarket, pubs and restaurants. I was perfectly happy staying at the Aloha Lodge near Nelson. The lodge is located near the airport and just a 5 minute drive from the city centre. Also, it takes only a few minutes to walk across to a lovely beach where you can walk to your heart's content. -- The staff at the Aloha Lodge are friendly, and the breakfast that is included in the room price is adequate...

7 adults plus a baby. we stayed at their holiday home. everything was provided. however, they keep running out of hot water. though the house can accupy 8 pax, it is not enough for all of us to shower at one go. everything else was perfect, nonetheless. thank you!

We booked a 3 night stay here in a 1 bedroom apartment and enjoyed our stay. Great location within easy walking distance of everything and a supermarket on your door step which is useful for a self catering style apartment. Only saw the staff at check in and check out who was very pleasant. We had a bit of rain there and the motel had umbrellas available to use whic...

We found the hotel perfectly located for the things we wanted to do while in Nelson. The environment was relaxed and the room size made for an easy chill out. The hosts are a lovely, friendly couple who obviously take great pride in their establishment. We got the impression that nothing would be too much. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Thank you

Our stay was great! My husband were on our honeymoon from the states and initially reserved a King studio however, after telling the owner Phil we were on our honeymoon he upgraded us FOR FREE to a king studio with a spa bathtub. It was very well decorated, quiet, and had all the amenities you would need to cook for extended stay. He also gave us excellent restaurant r...

We were a group of 5 senior citizens visiting Nelson. We loved our stay at Boutique Motel. It more than met our expectations. Gary and his wife provided useful advice about how we could make best use of our time in the Charming town of Nelson. The friendly welcome and the attention to details made our stay most comfortable.

Great location between airport & Nelson town. Nice & quite location. Short dive to the beach & playground. Rooms are spacious, clean & enough storage place. Kitchen facilities are adequate to cater for a family. Plenty of parking great little swimming door. Great & friendly service.

a great place to stay and still is for all points you could mention. for us this was one the best places during our trip through nz. to say it in one word excellent, as their wines from which you certainely should open a bottle! the estate is located just outside nelson between vineyards in hope. horseriding trips are organised by one of their neoghbours.

Checking in was a breeze with very friendly and helpful staff. On being shown the room we found it to be very clean and tidy and quite adequate for our overnight stay. We were informed of the facilities available to us and were overall impressed by what was on hand. I have no problem recommending Saxton Lodge as a great place to stay. More to those perhaps with a moto...

We enjoyed our stay at Sussex House. Heather, the owner, could not have been more helpful. Continental breakfast was adequate and served at a time to suit the guest. Our room and bathroom were compact but spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable.
