North Carolina hotels & accommodations

I felt the hotel was really unique and had a lot of amenities. However, I was very disappointed to find out that you can't use the pool by the spa unless you have a treatment or pay $91 / day just to use it. Treatments are extremely expensive. The rooms were old and needed updating. Don't let them put you in the main inn. The rooms are from the 1950's. Go into on...

The hotel room was great. Location allowed us to walk to show. Cons- Valet parking only @ $33, Many concert goers used same hotel and housekeeping could not keep up. Waited 1.5 hours for room, staff comped $25 in bar for food and drink which was nice but we started to worry about time. Checked in at 5:40 finally. The room was the cheapest in immediate area but made m...

I would stay there again. Beautiful hotel with a wonderful view of the mountains. Great roof top bar and complementary breakfast. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and friendly, especially Nat. By the way you can purchase tickets to the Biltmore at the their front desk. Also over night car parking was $16.

I stayed at this hotel because it was 1 of only 2 in this area of Charlotte where I needed to be. The room is well equipped for a long stay with a larger refrigerator, Iron and ironing board, safe, wifi, microwave, and coffee maker, very large and comfortable and everything worked well.

The Hilton was superb. The gym and pool are excellent, rooms are every bit as nice as any 5 star I've ever stayd at. I paid $99.00 per night and the next best hotel in the area Embassy Suites as $269.00. This hotel is the absolute best value I've ever experienced.

Bathtub in room 407 is very, hard to get into also slick and if that what3ver gets turned on it is extremely hard to get turned off. Also the black fixtures looked dirty all the time. If I return would specifically ask not to be put in that room. Otherwise facilities very nice.

Location was perfect. Clean & in nice area. Costco & IHOP w/in next door. Good breakfast. Friendly staff from housekeeping, front desk & breakfast crew. Pool wasn't open yet but that was OK, we knew that coming in. If family of 4 in 2 queens, be sure to ask for 4th set of linens. Room only had 3(?).

The room was VERY spacious and quiet. i have nothing but POSITIVE things to say about this hotel. Every employee (front desk personnel and housekeepers) with whom i came in contact was enthusiastically helpful and friendly. Two thumbs--and two big toes--up for Best Western!!!

The hotel and grounds are Clean, the staff at the front desk is friendly and the staff serving the food is friendly. great to everything location, it was easy to travel everywhere from the hotel. The view is the morning and night were beautiful.

The Quality Inn is an older hotel which is currently undergoing renovation of the rooms as of Jun 2018. Our room had already been renovated so it had a very clean and fresh appearance. Everything in the room worked, there was good shower pressure. The worst thing about the room was the A/C unit which is load and blows cold air right onto the bed since it's a big...

I was there on Xmas eve and most restaurants are closed by the time i checked in, but i still managed to find food from a nearby 7-11. The staff on duty were excellent, Todd deserves a mention. The place was not very new, but it was clean with no weird smell. Breakfast was decent and there is also a gym. Hotel is right next to the beach and offers a great view to the A...

what i will NOT recommend is the AGODA travel agent. DO YOU KNOW THAT AFTER I FINISH THE BOOKING, I WAS ASKED ON YOUR SITE BEFORE GETTING CONFIRMATION FOR EXTRA FEE TO HAVE BREAKFAST? This hotel have free breakfast anyway (I knew that for the reason that I stayed in this hotel 2 weeks before. Not Nice!

Most Asheville hotels are costlier than other locations. This hotel is a great value as it is close to downtown, antique stores, farmers' market and the Biltmore yet far enough away to be a quiet and free of road noise. Rooms have a safe, microwave, frig and bottled water. The breakfast buffet provided the standard fare of eggs, bacon, bagels and waffles plus yogurts (...

The room was dirty and had roaches. We found a toothbrush under the ac (which barely kept the room comfortable), and a plastic bag on the closet shelf, not sure what was in it, something yellow that seemed to be semi-solid. I gave it 2 stars for value because the bed was comfortable. "Free wi-fi", which we never could make it work, even after calling the help number....

This was one of the best places we have found in quite a while with plenty for everyone to do. The resort had a lot of activities to keep everyone happy and they also have a parking lot at the oceanfront which was a bonus. Between the large outdoor pool, pond and paddle boats, indoor water park, arcade and clubhouse and trails we were plenty busy even when the weather ...

When you think of Ramada you think you will just get “decent”, this place was superb for the location price and even the upscale appearance/accommodations. Full hot breakfast , beautiful lobby with a wonderful Indian restaurant and full bar. The king suite was like a one bedroom apartment minus the kitchen of course. I got two king suites for two nights for under 2...

Linda was great, she let us check in early after a long flight from LA! However we did ask for our room to be cleaned one day after we left around 1pm and came back around 11pm and they must have forgotten. No worries tho, they did the next day. Overall pretty great stay.

This Best Western was a very nice place to stay. It was clean and the staff was excellent. We only had one little problem that only happened once and that was on one morning I only had warm water for a shower. Other than that a very nice stay and very comfortable.

I booked a room on line... bad mistake... the room I got was a tiny room with no amenities... walk-in shower no balcony, overlooked a roof and an alley... I immediately went back to the front desk and said this is not what I thought I was getting... she said never book on line... book with the hotel direct. I said please find me a decent room with a balcony... for mor...

Took a quick weekend trip for our anniversary and didn't have terribly high expectations but were pleasantly surprised! Very friendly hotel staff and clean rooms!!! A/c worked wonderfully! Right on the beach so even if you don't have a oceanfront room you're not far at all from the ocean! We didn't use the pool so I cant comment on it but it looked lovely! Well lit par...

Reserved room was not available, however we were given dinner voucher as apology. Hotel rates a five for convenience, comfort, cleanliness, and friendliness but need to remedy reservation problem. We were told one like we reserved not ready, have dinner on them while waiting for one to be ready. Three hours later, still not available. We do not understand this prob...

The place was clean; the lobby smelled like strawberries, the elevator didn't stink and neither did the hallway. My room had a single king bed which kinda overtook the room and made it seem smaller than it actually was. The bed was a bit firm but surprisingly comfortable. There wasn't enough covering on the bed so I couldn't run the a/c all night but the room didn't ge...

This hotel's location was good. However, the facility is very old and outdated. Really in need of an upgrade. Room had multiple stink bugs jumping around during my stay. Heater didn't work properly because it was so old. Hot water wasn't regulated. Water was either cold or scalding hot. Water also started out cold for a long time while bathing and then became scalding ...

The hotel staff is great, except for one young lady she has a nasty attitude and does not know how to talk to people at all. She do not need to work at the front desk at all, also she talks about the guest not good at all. She was working the first shift, but the second and third shift was awesome!

Given the following scenario, how could one make a recommendation? Imagine all-day travelling and arriving in the late evening-in the rain-in North Carolina, in an unfamiliar city...Now, imagine the shock to find that your booking was cancelled without knowledge or notification and it was due change in ownership/management.

Everywhere smells like a disgusting public bathroom. The moment I opened the room door I was welcomed by a stale pee smell that only the most luxurious hotels can envy.... tiny baby roaches were crawling from the bed - not fxxxing kidding. No trash bins; toilet and bathtub looked like a crime scene; bedding was stained, dirty, and yellowish... I could see the dust on t...

We arrived at 10pm (the office closes at 11). No one was in the lobby when we entered. We called the front desk and we could hear the phone ringing and ringing. Finally after 10 minutes of waiting someone showed up to check us in. She was very rude about it too - like we woke her up from a nap. The room was fine for one night although the toilet paper was very low and ...

This Day Inn is a good one! We look for quiet/safe/clean/new-ish/good climate control/non-smoking. This one fit the bill perfectly, and our room was huge. I'd have to say, better than our last Hilton/Hampton/Marriot room, for less $$. Breakfast was fine - not lavish, but small hot bar, toast and cereal, and the requisite waffle iron. Recommend.

Pros- All the staff I came into contact with were super super nice! Definitely one of the best experiences I've had with hotel staff. Animal friendly Breakfast Surrounded by fast food places Decent looking pool, not huge though Room was clean Cons Seems like the area could be iffy at times- the fast food places are literally up next to the hotel so I definitely wou...

I saved $30 booking that way. Breakfast at all extended stay Americas is coffee, granola bars or packaged muffins. They only clean ur room once every 7 days. That sucks! U have to empty ur own trash and take ur used towels to front desk if u need clean ones. Most do allow dogs. Kitchens are good. No oven. The location is very good.

We were attending convention in Charlotte and wanted to save money. The accommodations were quite comfortable in the King Suite with the microwave and fridge. The hot breakfast was excellent with several choices even at the early morning start of 5:30! The drive was not bad into the city even with the road construction. The desk personnel were very friendly and hel...

Good location if construction is completed on adjacent road. Hotel was nice but make sure your room isn’t right over the roof of lower portions... it took away most of our boardwalk and river view. Tile was pretty in the bathroom but hid a lot upon closer observation in one of our two rooms. Parking was a bit of an issue (not enough for all guests) and you are charged ...

Very clean, comfortable, nice location. But... battery in thermostat dying, TV had “no signal” and my credit card they took for incidentals was charged twice even though there were no incidentals. Restaurant located in same building had great food but would not allow you to take a drink to your room , nor would they deliver one even though room service was available...

Our family stayed at this hotel for the Belk Bowl. Our room was lovely and well appointed. The front desk, valet and restaurant staff were all cheerful and efficient. We requested extra pillows and blankets which were delivered promptly, The football stadium is an easy ten minute walk from the hotel. The only suggestion I would make is to set up another bar in the lou...

Evening Shade was perfect for my husband and I. Very soothing sounds from the water as it flowed by. Harry treated us very well. We could see Chimney Rock from the yard and a beautiful waterfall also. Looking forward to coming back. Kenneth & Brenda
