Where to stay in Okinawa Prefecture
Okinawa Prefecture hotels & accommodations

One never knows if the hotel is good for vacation in a new city. I booked this hotel based on location. Wasn’t sure about being so close to Depot Island ( crowds, noise, etc) It turned out it was the best thing we did. It was a bit far from the airport but can not beat the convenience of restaurants and shopping for daily necessities. We booked 2 rooms and the staff u...

One of the top hotels in Okinawa. I loved it very much. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast is a must try. Rooms were clean and they put a ice making machine on every floor. There is even Wifi in room. The hotel is right in the middle of Koukusai Dori, conveinent store next to the hotel, surrounded by lots of resturants and souvenior shops. However, if you plan on tak...

We stayed in 3 hotels in Okinawa and this is definitely the best! Superb view of the sunset from the comfort of our room. Excellent service by the staff and super comfortable room with hot spring tub. They even packed breakfast for us knowing that we had to check out early and would miss the breakfast buffet. The terrace serves really good pancakes! Location is conveni...

I brought my karate students and parent chaperones to Okinawa to train at the International Karate Study Centre in Yomitan and visit various sites. We decided to make our home base at the Hyatt Regency Naha, and that was our best move. The location near Kokusai dori was perfect, and we took day trips to Central and Northern Okinawa; the hotel is also not far from Shu...

This is my second visit to Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa and Resort. It is really a good hotel located in Onna where convenience to go wherever north or south of Okinawa. Room was clean. All room has ocean view. The high standard of service provided could be maintained as what I stayed last year. Other than the hotel, there were plenty choice of food. It was easy for us ...

This is a great place to stay in Okinawa. As the hotel is located in Onna, central part of Okinawa, so we explored the northern and central part of the main island. Rooms are spacious and clean. Loved the bathroom! Highly recommend the wide range of food offered in buffet breakfast. In any case, there is not much choice for brekkie outside the hotel. Enjoyed the night...

This hotel is worth every single penny that you will spend on it. I will definitely come back to Hotel Aqua Citta on my next Okinawa Naha visit. From the size of the room, the rooftop glass pool, the bar next to the pool, low rate street car parks are all around the hotel (No need to worry about the parking issue is very important in Japan.) and the location which just...

I stayed at Blossom hotel in Fukuoka in June 2017 and found their hotel is very nice. So I booked Blossom Naha for my last night stay in Okinawa as it's very closed to the shopping centre and also restaurants. Surprisingly, they have hotel parking at JPY1500 for 24hours, so I don't need to search for external parking space. And this is a new hotel, and price is reas...

If you travel to Okinawa, you must stay this hotel as the best location!! Two years old hotel in Okinawa with nice location & clean room. A separate bathroom , toilet and sink & a wooden movable door to divide bedroom are the perfect design in this hotel. Thumb Up.

A complete hotel/resort that has everything... You could do your last min shopping of all okinawa goodies, if you rent car from Orix, you could hand your key at their counter next to the hotel recep, has onsen, sauna, swimming pool. Options Breakfast at the Jap or English restaurant or lunch buffet and we prefer the lunch buffet as it has a wider spread than the breakf...

ive stayed in over 20 hotels in Japan in the past year and this is by far the best. it is located a few steps away from Kokusai Dori, the heart of Naha, yet is so peaceful and quiet at night. it’s convenient to travel to other parts of okinawa from here and i love how huge the room is- way larger than Japan’s standards. it is also really clean. with subway tiles in the...

By far, this is the best place to be in Okinawa. The hotel is new, spacious and very clean. It captures the captivating view of the emerald beach. The food is good especially the beef they use. They have lots of restaurants. Their amenities would really make you have fun with water (pools, onsen, beach, sauna, massage). The staff are all courteous and nice. Checking-...

This hotel is just located in the middle of the Okinawa. If you want to go to downtown like international street or DFS, you could take luminous bus then transfer rail or taxi. If you have 4 adults, cost of taking taxi is comparable with luminous bus. There are 8 restaurants offered in the hotel from local Okinawa food, sushi, buffet to Chinese food. Do not worry about...

Though I had a heck of a time finding the place as I drove up (signs are blocked by other businesses' signs.) the hotel was great. The room was a little bigger than the average single bed I've booked and while there's no heat in the rooms, making for a slightly chilly night depending on how low it gets, its Okinawa and they do offer a heater in case you're the type to ...

Staff were very polite and nice. We checked in pretty late but they were all very happy to assist. Location wise, would only recommend for travellers with car rental (just like the rest of Okinawa hotels, really). There are restaurants just around 1km drive out and convenient store around 500m, which was quite nice. Rooms were huge and had good views (too bad it was al...

It was a great and pleasant stay! The staff of the hotel is very friendly and very attentive. The room is not big but suffice for a couple. Clean room. Great value for money. I would stay here again and again if I were to visit Okinawa. Train station and private hotel car park at doorstep makes it very convenient. 20 to 30 steps from train station or private hotel car...

It is a good hotel for spending our holidays there. This hotel provide a outdoor swimming pool mainly for children, it is large enough and beautiful. The indoor swimming pool and the onsen need to be paid. We live in the main building superior room with balcony, the bay view and swimming pool view is nice. The room size is large as compared with other hotel in Okinawa....

First of all, the location is just perfect. It's connected to Yui Monorail which runs around Naha city and also to Naha airport. If you take taxi from Naha airport, like I did, the trip will take less than 15 minutes. Moreover, the hotel is practically next to Naha bus terminal, which is very convenient for those who don't rent car. From outside, the RIHGA Royal Gran...

Loved my stay at this hotel!!! Nice, clean, comfortable, quiet, good facilities...that almost everything I need is in place and offered in a right way. I am quite a hard-to-pleased traveler when comes to hotel.Unfortunately, I have to be a frequent business traveler with a limited budget from my own little business.I guess I have no problem either to recommend to anyon...

I resided at this hotel several months ago with my wife for diving tour, and I can assure you that the stay here will be much more satisfying than you could expect (especially for who has been to Okinawa in prior). We actually stayed at the room only for like the sleep over since we spent most of the time outside, but we could simply judge that this hotel is one of th...

We stayed here on our first and final night of our trip to Okinawa, compared to other hotels we stayed during our stay this hotel is the most excellent value for money. Very clean, modern room with nice interior deign, high speed wifi in the room, well equipped bathroom, comfortable bed and staff are all very attentive and friendly. Excellent hotel location only 3 min ...

We stayed here for 6 nights & we did not regretted choosing this hotel. Very friendly staff, new facilities (onsen, washing & dryer machines, vending machines), provided free facial masks, free drinks, close proximity to car park, Family Mart & Lawson. Also only 10 min walk to International St, Ryubo Mall (5 min) & Monorail Station!! Best hotel in Okinawa!

This hotel is a very good hotel compare with value for money, it is not far from ishigaki town hall and easy to reach by bus. Further it is also provide free shuttle bus to her client travelling between airport to hotel. I also appreciate her front desk service staff friendly and polite service. Beside, it give me a very impression that is the welcome drink which serv...

It's a very nice hotel. The Room is clean, very comfortable, nice location for drivers. You can have a beautiful night view of Okinawa but a car is a must. They upgraded our room for our celebration which is very nice. We will definitely go again. Highly recommend for self-driving tours. This hotel is easily full because of tours, I booked the room two months before...

The hotel was perfect. Very close to Sunset Beach (1 minute) with nice view. Room size was also big compare to other Okinawa Hotel. A/C, hair dryer, fridge.. Everything was all in. However, the parking lot was not enough use, so we used the public. And there was a construction while we were staying. It's not noisy but trucks are moving so people with baby need to awar...

This is my first experience to stay in a capsule style hotel like this, and this impressed me very much in a positive way. Although I was assigned on an upper bed. The staffs at the front desk are nice and helpful, there is a free welcome ice-stick that you can get at the counter as well as slipper etc. The room is super quiet and clean with a mini fridge and shoe shel...
Cheap places to stay in Okinawa Prefecture

Guest House Umikaji is conveniently located near the Prefecture Monorial Station, RyuBo Shopping Centre and Kokusai Street. Monorail ticket is Yen 260 from Naha Airport, only seven stations away. Suggest check-in time to bring forward to 2pm from current 3pm. Otherwise, Guests can stay/rest in the reception lounge/dining room, surf internet on the two internet termin...

It was very comfortable to access local restraints, shopping markets and local music pubs. It is at just center of Kokusai-dori, Naha the busiest street. We can enjoy Okinawa-soba, noodle, Makishi local grocery market, Yachimun street and Minyo music pub. And the room was nice and clean, it was good enough to have rest.

I stay here for 3days with my friend. cabin hibiss is wonderful place for traveler. clean facilities, short distance from international street and very very kind storekeeper. if I have a chance to visit okinawa again, I'll stay here one more time!

Private quarters were cramped for two, and there were strict quiet hours in the common area due to the walls not reaching the ceiling, so ambiance is sterile. Bathrooms are also awkwardly small, but it's Japan. But the hostel manager was friendly and accommodating, facilities were clean and there's a smoking area outside of the building.

I stay there for 3 night in the ladies dormitory. I didn't have much expectation at first. However, once I got there, I found that the dormitory are spacious. You would not feel crowded inside. Also, the dormitory is tidy and clean. Location is good. Near "Kenchomae" station and easy to walk to Kokusai Dori. Staff there are really NICE!!! On my first day in Okinawa,...

It's a good spot to get around the north of Okinawa. Near the Aquarian and Sesoko island. You can do all water sports there with white sand beach. Guest house's owner is a nice guy! Even he can't speak english, but he with his whole patient to understand you. It's a clean and quiet place if you are looking for. I'm sure you'll sleep like baby. :)

I went on a trip alone this summer and stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. The owner of the hostel was very nice and kind. The hostel was also very clean and it was located right in front of famous places in Okinawa. I really hope to go travel again. For sure, I will definately visit this hostel again!

CamCam is located at a very convenient place, near to monorail station, Lowson, Union, and many restaurants. The dormitory is comfortable, clean bed with 24 hr air condition. The living room is full with people at night, it is good to chat with another traveler and meet new friends. I'll still chose CamCam next time I travel to Okinawa~

It was the cheapest option and located right in the center of town, 5min walk to port and airport bus, loads of food options and a conbini nearby. Best option for cheap stay in Ishigaki. Bed is however shaky and facilities overall a bit worn out, but that's what I expect for this price. Staff was friendly, however English is very limited.

Staff spoke amazingly good English, and were really nice about it too. At other hostels the staff will be kind of upset if I am bad at Japanese, whether they speak English or not. They gave great advice about things to do. They helped me find an all-you-can-eat wagyu beef shabu shabu. This should have been the first place I stayed at in Okinawa. It is the perfect base...

The kind owner is better than tourist information office, gives the Best detailed advice on trips, activities, n local cheap home made delicious meals restaurant, that you must NOT miss it. Location is great, convenient. Beautiful green n sea view. Great atmosphere. It would be nice to stay in this guest house longer time. Highly recommended!

Staffs are very nice and kind, I love them. The living room is warm and Okinawa Style. It nears the Yui-Rail Station. We even cook for ourselves in the hostel with fresh ingredients brought in a cheap supermarket nearby. We walk to国际通 everyday. I will definitely go to Sora House the next time.

- good location, near the main market street - you can find every facilities at here, these are valuable to stay here. - toilet is only one room, but it's enough to use because the number of people in each floor is not much - I stay in dorm room, but very private and separate from other - the kitchen has everything you want - time of check-in is about 3 pm but you c...

ISA the host is such a nice guy! He sand me days before told me the area is blackout case the typhoon land to Okinawa. But I still need to visit Okinawa so I didn’t change my mind. I a, so glad I did that! The best hostel I stay in Okinawa, I love it in personal memories. The night is blackout, actually I need to walk 30min from the aquarium, ( because I am not driving...

The guest house is a small and cosy place like home. It is close to the coast and the surroundings is very dark and quiet at night, you can hear insects' sound and see the twinkling stars. In the guest house, everything is clean and tidy. The host Manabu is very kind, he remind me that I forgot to turn off my car light, and he introduced a delicious Japanese restaurant...

The staff here is from Okinawa and are super friendly and kind. Would recommend this place solely based on them! They generously helped with directions, calling for rental cars, and many other things that was especially quite annoying. Above and beyond service. The room is tiny, but the facilities were good, and the lobby area was spacious. The location is very convenie...

One of the hotels in Okinawa which offer Japanese tatami room at a very reasonable price. Love the rooms. Super spacious and comes with balcony. Location wise it's on top of hill so it can be a little out of the place if you do not drive. Excellent service rendered by the staff here. Breakfast is really delicious too. They offer free shuttle bus pick up from the airpor...

My wife and I hosted our wedding in beautiful Okinawa. I cant be more pleased with the staff at Hotel Moon Beach, the customer experience and overall facility were just excellent!! definitely recommended to every traveller who wants a good time near the Onna area.

The room is quite big and we chose a sea view room so it was wonderful! Beds are big! We could see sunset from the hotel grounds and it felt very relaxing. The staff were super friendly (starting from the hotel pick-up from the airport), we really loved our stay here! The onsen is a little small, but they have other facilities, two pools, table tennis/pool table for u...

Glad to have chosen this hotel for my first ever trio to Okinawa. Very enjoyable, relaxing and beautiful environment outside of naha. Location is tip top right next to the American village and being somewhere in the mid point of the island, it's an ideal place to be of you plan to visit both northern and southern parts of Okinawa. I chose a room with balcony and Seav...

We got to Okinawa and checked in, and the next day typhoon hit Okinawa! Terrace was a beautiful place to stay in and relax, plus it's location made it easy to sneak out to Mcdonald's or the convenience store for necessities! The staff were amazingly helpful and willing to go out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. We would definitely go back, since the rooms a...

I just got back from my trip to Ishigaki, and wanted to take the time to write a positive review (I’m not usually one to write them). This property and staff were amazing. Our two bedroom suite was huge- so much space for my family to spread out. The suite was well appointed with toiletries, snacks and iced tea. The breakfast was terrific- so many local cuisine opti...

My general impression to hotels in Ishigaki is: they cost pretty higher than expected (say when compare to hotels in Okinawa) ART Hotel Ishigakijima is as well slightly pricely than expected. Nevertheless, it is a good hotel with good standard - hospitable and helpful staff, the hotel is clean. The pool is not a big one but the water slide is a remarkable one. it is ab...

My friend and I spent wonderful time in this hotel. It's a little far from the airport and other scenic spots, but u can take the bus at the airport that can help u to reach the hotel directly. If u want to visit the Ocean Park, u can take part in the one-day tour on the lobby, but u need book it in advance. The hotel attendants are very enthusiastic. They provided us ...

I almost don't want to tell how wonderful my experience was at Nirakanai Iriomotejima, but it would be too selfish to keep it a secret. From the minute I arrived the experience was sublime. I was greeted with refreshing jasmine tea, and seated comfortably while the hostess explained the activities and surroundings. The location is stunning. The rooms are lovely with...

It was nice spending 3 nights in Coco Garden. The location of the resort is good for you who drives in Okinawa. I do not see any public transport that can reach the resort. Staff are nice and helpful. The room is spacious and comfortable, though I think it needs some repair to the wall. Also there seem no restaurant opens at night nearby, but only a Lawson and a MacDon...

Very nice hotel in Okinawa. Rooms are large, confortable and also well-clean. All hotel personal are helpful and friendly. About 20 mins away from Naha airport. Nice indoor pool with water slide. Restaurants offers good food and price is reasonable. Highly Recommend!

It is very conventient because the hotel is just nearby the main transportation spot at Okinawa Naha city. Just 2mins to monorail station and 3 mins to bus terminal. For we travelers with a old lady and a toddler without rental car, it is very important. There is no available rooms while last year summer trip and we booked only one night for this trip because hotel ...

The hotel is perfectly situated; max 3 minute walk to either the bus terminal and ferry terminal. It is also very close to the local shopping arcade and restaurants. Hotel staff is absolutely friendly and lovely and have gone above and beyond for our stay. I had difficulties booking activities prior to our trip as most I found were mostly in Japanese and I emailed the ...

It's a great experience spending Christmas time at Renaissance Okinawa. The room is clean and spacious with excellent seaview. We are greeted by very polite staffs whereever we go and the staffs are trying their best to provide service to us and being helpful where possible. My husband and I enjoy the food at the Japanese restaurant a lot, it is a fantastic exp...

First of all, this hotel is the best for us among 3 hotels during our trip. Because the staff was really kind, this covers all pros. We were all satisfied and have good memory from here. Pros. Close to 'Pizza in the sky'(3min by walk), kind staff, cozy and clean room, good jacuzzi, vending machine instead of convenience store, nice breakfast Cons. Going deep into the...

Situated next near Kadena Base, immediately available is American Village and great food/view nearby. The Hilton hotel has main building, and DoubleTree is situated separately right next to ocean. The room, facility, and view are awesome. Best for couples and family vacation. Car parking is sufficient with around 10 covered parking slot

Outdoor swimming pool was great, which is connected to the beach. Nearby Busena tour sites (observatory & glass boat) and diving spots offer many things to do outside resort in walking distance! Although the price was quite expensive, it was an excellent experience. Hotel staff gave me a warm welcome when I arrived. There are a few good restaurants within a few minutes driving. The pool is very good. ...

Great customer service. Exceptionally clean rooms. The villa layout with your own private pool was perfect. The pool was approximately 4 x 8 meters - so a decent size. It’s a bit of a drive from the airport especially if you are planning to use a cab. The villas are out by Cape Zanpa with a couple restaurants within walking distance. Gorgeous views!! We will definitely...

We love this hotel, our room is facing the ocean and very spacious. The washroom was very big and the staff were very nice and helpful. Got valet parking and 24 hr butler service in case you need anything. The food / drink offered during breakfast, afternoon tea & cocktail were impressed. Highly recommend for couples / those love resort style hotel.

It was the best trip. In the first week of July, I spent my vacation in Okinawa, and I stayed in 3 different places. It was the best lodging. First, cleanliness that is thought to be the basis of accommodation. I think taking a rest in a very clean facility is the beginning and the end of the vacation. Secondly, employees are very kind. Every little consideration allow...

The view from the room is excellent!! Everything in the hotel is good, it is clean and the staff are super nice! However I'm not quite satisfy with the rooms arranged. We booked 1 premium ocean view room and 1 superior room for 1 night. We are family and we wish to have 2 adjacent rooms. The staff said there is no vacant adjacent rooms that suit our room type and fi...

We drive the car to this hotel, they can help us park our car n bring it to us when we go out. Also they can drive us to the dinner place n pick us up after. So we can drink allot n dun worry. We had the most fantastic time at Villa Jusandi. The accommodation was spacious and airy but also very private and the whole time that we stayed there we only came across one other guest. It is just around the corner from the beautiful Kabira Bay and perfectly positioned for exploring the island, just make sure that you hire a car. By far the best thing about the prope...

We stayed in 3 hotels in Okinawa, I would rank this the 1st if not for his lack of food choices. The room is very nice, spacious and very well equipped. Fantastic view from the living room. Service is great and staff were all very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel only has a French restaurant and the terrace below has very limited food options. There isn't a con...

Timing your visit to Okinawa can enhance your travel experience significantly. The best time to explore the island is during the spring (March to May) and fall (September to November) seasons.
