Pest hotels & accommodations

Not much information was provided at reception when I checked in despite staff appearing to be able to use good English. On the first two evenings as I went for dinner later in the evening, I was charged for meals even though I had paid for half-board. However, having sampled the half-board meal selection on the Sunday evening, in hindsight I was actually grateful of h...

I really liked this place - especially since I got it for a promotional price. It's basically an apartment, and mine was a big studio with a nice view and large balcony. You have a kitchenette with all that's needed, bathroom with shower and even a box for used clothes (nice touch :P), a quite big room with a nice bed and huge drawer, a table and chairs, a sofa, TV, in...

Four stars a joke, bar closes at 2200hrs if they bother to serve you. We told them we would be arriving late, the night porter opened the door gave us the key then walked away, pointing up the stairs . We where left to find our own room. That was approximately 0100 hrs Friday morning. We where booked for 4 nights, all paid for. We booked out Saturday. Please note if...

Hotel Visegrad is well positioned, being near the river, and within 2 minutes walking distance of a few other bars and restaurants. It has an indoor and two outside swimming pools, (one for children, and plenty of loungers. The owner (Thedore?) is easy, and interesting, to talk to, and very helpful. He recommended various ideas to spend a leisurely weekend in Visegrad...

Great location, good breakfast included in price (not a buffet breakfast, but many options a la carte). The room we stayed at was very small, but good enough for one night. Mahart cruise boats station is next to the hotel front door. Fot those travelling with kids, there is a "historical playground" a 100 meters away from the hotel - an unusual experience, opposite to ...

It is in very calm environment and is walkable to the center of town. Facility is good. Only one disappointing thing is that screen of bathroom window was so dusty. Though English capability is limited, staff is very kind with great hospitality. I recommend this hotel.

Such a cozy, comfortable place. The sweet, hard working lady who runs it it raised her family in the house for 35 years and turned it into a guesthouse. She had fresh coffee and a smile waiting for me every morning in her lovely dining room. It is about 1 km from the city center but I enjoyed walk through the adorable town. The rooms are basic, spacious and comfortable...

Very central location and across the road from the river. Building itself poorly designed with low angled ceiling n rooms towards water don't have windows taking in the fantastic view. Disappointing design. Very basic furnishings for quite high room rate. Could be much better.

Istvan runs this old family house as a well-maintained guesthouse, and is the greatest host. You feel love in every corner of the place - inside the rooms, in the wine cellar, in the garden. Rooms are very spacious, with lots of geniune antiquities - books, paintings, tableware and furniture. The bathroom is very spacious, features a real bathtub and numerous body- and...
