Traveling to Australia? Find South Australia hotels

Booked on Agoda 7 weeks ago for a very good deal, including breakfast, we had free car park at the hotel, easy to find on south terrace, full buffet breakfast very good with a variety of hot and cold dishes, but best of all, it is only 1/2 block walk to the free tram - the first of 10 free stops, so access to all parts of the city are very quick, and free. The room was big, had a bath, comfortable bed, balcony looking over the park and the city lights. Could not fault this hotel at all, best value for money on our whole trip around SA.

The entire hotel is only 6 months old, so everything is clean and new. Rooms are spacious. Slippers are provided, though there's no toothbrush (as with every other hotel in Australia). The rooms definitely deserve a 5 star rating; minor details (such as the ikea pillows, slightly coarse towels, and slightly difficult to reach manual curtains) keep it from being a 6 star level. All in all, extremely good value if all you need is a room; lack of facilities (ie spa/gym/pool etc) keep it from being a true 5 star hotel. There's free on-street parking on the weekends (Sat arvo, and the entire Sunday) on King William st and Hindley st. While there are not many spots, it was still not too hard to get one. Otherwise, the best bet is to prebook a bay at the Wilson carpark nearby.

When we arrived, we were given keys to a little cottage- where we noted a dead fly on the kitchen counter top the floor was covered in leaf crumbs, we then just dropped off our stuff, and left- on returning we noticed on the lounge was a grape stem and a fruit sticker, and in the bedroom on the side dresser was a mystery white stained area ?? The furnishing in this room were also quite dated and were a little worst for wear. I really felt the room wasn't cleaned or even checked prior to our arrival. We went to the Manager and complained, after viewing these concerns he happily upgraded us to a larger cabin with a spa, which was clean, but we did notice that the furnishing were also showing there age and a little worst for wear there too. As for the Manager and other staff we dealt with , they were all polite and helpful. He also told us our first cabin was not up to their usual standard and was apologetic. Overall we would stay at the Hahndorf Old Mill again, because of its location. I would not rate the cabins at a 4 star rating as mentioned above, the furnishing in both cabins were a little worst for wear and really need replacing.

Stayed here for the first time in 10 years, normally stay at another apartment when in town, as it was Mad March we were unable to get that apartment. Frankin Apartments are bigger than most, have washing machine and dryer. the kitchen facilities are very good. good size fridge, crockery and cutlery were ample. Lounge was a bed sofa but very comfortable. cleaner were polite and helpful. we will e travelling to Adelaide within the next couple of weeks ( live in Penang) we are going to stay there again. Great place for walking to South Terrace and Wakefield St. Thanks to everyone for making our stay 100%.. Thanks to all for making our stay what it was comfortable.

The Hotel was easy to access from Adelaide Airport via the handy Airport Shuttle Bus ($10.00 AUD). I use a VISA debit card and so I had to give an additional deposit of $200.00 to secure my booking this was very promptly refunded when I checked out at the end of my visit. The buffet breakfasts were very good and I also had some lunches and dinners in the Hotel. Pleased with all my meals. It took me a little while to find the air conditioning control panel just inside the doorway of my room but once I had the air conditioning was good and easy to manage. I very much liked the view of the Adelaide Hills from my 12th floor room. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The Hotel is a short walk from many CBD attractions. I visited the South Australian Gallery and the South Australian Museum. I enjoyed accessing Rundle Mall via the Adelaide Arcade and in the Adelaide Arcade I discovered the Elysian Lifestyle Salon where I had a manicure, pedicure and some waxing done by the very helpful staff. I was in Adelaide to attend a wedding and again the Hotel was an easy walk (20 minutes) to the Church and I was able to take a taxi to the wedding reception at the Botanical Gardens Restaurant. The Ibis is a good hotel, in a great location with helpful staff - I recommend this hotel!!!

The hotel is Really lovely and the rooms are spacious and immaculate. Great lighting in the bathroom and spotless rooms. If it was a cheap hotel i would not question these little things. But at $390 a night the hotel is let down by poor service at the bar. Or non existent really. No table service and non attentive when you actually walk up to the bar. Clearly Inexperienced staff. No water in my room when I checked in. Not asked if I had used anything from the mini bar when I checked out. Didn’t ask how was your stay did you enjoy your stay ... ! My card was charged after I left for 3 non alcoholic drinks from the mini bar that were not even there to begin with. Check out is 11 but I had cleaners knock and just enter without approval to do so at 9.14 to do the change over. I was fresh out the shower while I was in my underwear. Not even giving me time to say no don’t enter. Just walked in. Seriously who does that and no apology. I booked one of the premium rooms and to find that no breakfast was included. I looked online at the cheaper rooms which look identical and it was included. They really need to step it up with customer service and room management and front of house. Not enough staff or experienced staff on the floor to cater for guests.

thoroughly enjoyed our stay and booked another night there. room was large with plenty of light due to two walls of floor to ceiling windows. curtains were in front of windows to block out light when needed. kitchenette fridge was inside tv cabinet which made it initially difficult to find. the fridge was a decent size for a small one. the dining room and bar/bistro had good food at an affordable price. it was nice to look out the dining area windows and see kangaroos grazing under the nearby gumtree.

We had a good time in Adelaide. Overall, the hotel is good but we did not feel that we stayed in 5 stars hotel. Pros: Inside the city, it is close to everything. The room is very clean. The staff is very friendly. We very happy about that. Cons: In this website, they said there are Valet parking and car park on - site but need to pay $38/day for valet parking. The car park on- site is the normal car park that not belong to hotel so we paid a lot for parking this time. Secondly, the hotel does not have a bell boy to carry luggage to the room for guest that I believe a 5 star hotel should have. Third, there is no basic things in hotel room such as free bottle of water, Bathrobe, Disposable Paper Slipper, tooth brush & toothpaste that should be in every hotel room. Finally, coffee taste bad for coffee lover. We do not mind to stay in this hotel for the next trip but we hope they can improve the service that qualify 5 stars hotel.

ideal for event at intercontinental hotel-short walk there and back,,,disappointed to find although booked and paid for 5 /apartment only set up for 4 /no extra bed 4 cups plates/towels etc-very annoying as hotel voucher clearly stated 5!! after having to complain---no real apology--- eventually told would be a fold out?! bed set up. it was set up while out of room--in middle of living area?! these are not cheap rooms--and an apology from management would have been nice-the poor young man on reception,although on his own, was trying to correct it.

A prominent Hotel on the corner of West/South Tce overlooking Parklands in Adelaide, South Australia. The entrance is only accessible by travelling south along West Tce. It has a small but secure Car Park with direct Hotel entry. Guests are treated to a sixth floor Bar and Restaurant, (dinner service only) plus Gym, Swimming Pool and Spa all with great views. The Bar had the basics but lacked locally made boutique drinks for which the city is renound. The Restaurant offered a small selection on its menu where they more than made up the local content with some delicious meals. At ground level the Smorgasbord Breakfast is cooked alongside the servery and offers fresh and tasty selections. The dining area, although small, is a wonderful place to greet the day from and has some outside tables too. The King Spa room had limited Room Service and no discernible views but was spacious and extremely comfortable. An affordable stay with a touch of luxury.

It is Hilton Class hotel, well appointed and good service. Hotel located in the centre of city, the best Market is just around corner, also next to 24 hours large supermaket, the free tram stop within the city just on the front door. Hence, you will not have any problem to find good dining places or tour around the city. One small disappointment is the room do not have bathtub, other than that, overall, a good 5 star hotel,

We organised a group of 11 to spend two nights and they looked after us very well. They arranged our rooms next to each other and we had all we needed in terms of tables an chairs around the pool to enjoy our evening drinks. The rooms look like they are all in the process of being upgraded, but even in their current condition, they are a nice size, clean and the bed is comfortable. And the shower was magnificent with plenty of hot water. What more can you ask for, If you are looking for 5 star, this is not necessarily for you. But it did us very well. We had dinner in the Restaurant on one night and really enjoyed the regional fresh food, They even masked the wine for us, so we could have some fun with a blind tasting. In another season where there is less of a drought, the rose garden would be very delightful to explore.

Located in the very center of this city with quite easy access to all the shopping areas nearby, Hotel Richmond is the best choice for the travellers new to this city. The most impressive thing in my eyes is the friendly staff members working at the reception. I have to mention two guys. They offered me a lot of help even before I arrived. The facilities in the room are clean and tidy. Room service is also very efficient. I believe I will come back soon.

I have been travelling to the Mawson Lakes area for the last 10 years for work. For most of that period (once I discovered it) i have stayed at the Mawson Lakes hotel and have often recommended it to a number of colleagues. There are a variety of rooms to stay in, both within the hotel and also in apartments in the area. There is plenty of quality restaurants and value meals in and around the hotel.The hotel offers a large and value for money breakfast, and there are ample safe walking tracks around the lake to walk off all the calories. Katie has worked in reception for the majority of the time I have stayed there and always ensures I get the best rates and offers. Katie only asks that I book direct with her rather than online as Katie can offer me the best deals if I deal with her direct. I will continue to stay there when working in SA and recommend this hotel, particularly for business travelers - it is a tick in every box and reasonably priced.

Awesome aircon. Older but fantastically clean. Best coffee. Lovely helpful staff. When I booked it asked any requests which I asked great aircon. When we arrived in Adelaide the aircon was for us and believe me after getting in on a 40 degree day was the best, also was so thoughtful. Small things like this and it’s cleanliness will make me return to the Meridian. Thank you

Barossa Weintal Hotel complex is an excellent hotel. Easily found on the main road, spacious grounds, large rooms, providing good quality soaps, shampoo and bathroom towels. A good selection of tea/coffee, and fresh milk in the fridge. Continental Breakfast was included in our package and for a small upgrade a menu provided choices for a full breakfast. Having stayed overseas and interstate in many hotel/motel complexes South Australia can be proud of this hotel complex.

A basic hotel but just what we needed to spend our first 4 nights in Adelaide ever in. Myself and my two sons came over from Canberra to see the Socceroos which we thoroughly enjoyed. One bus around the corner from the hotel got us direct into the city and a very easy city to explore and get around. Great value for money and location plus! Hyde Park also offers a great array of takeaways and restaurants which are also within short walking distance of the Jasper Inn. We will stay again when we return for another holiday to Adelaide :-)

My stay at BreakFree was excellent. It is convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk from Rundle Mall, less than 5 minute walk to the free shuttle bus stop and tram stop. The cab fare from Adelaide Airport to the hotel is about A$20. The location of the hotel was very peaceful and serene. The free wifi and computer connected to printers at the hotel lobby are particularly useful. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly. The room is equipped with full cooking facilities - induction stoves, microwave oven, conventional oven, refrigerator, pots, plates, cutlery, and even salt and pepper! I There is a courtyard which is quite spacious and good for enjoying sunshine/night breeze.

Nice room, I will return This is the first time I visit Adelaide and try to find the hotel which is not too far from CBD and located in quiet area. I recommend this Oaks Horizon. You can have a quiet night while it is only 5 mins walk to Rundle mall. The room is better than I expect for what I paid for. I stayed in one bedroom apartment equipped with everything you need to make meal. My complaint would be when I check in. They could not find my booking and fortunately, there was room available that night. I asked for high floor when I booked. I was put on 5th floor face parking lot. Anyway, it is good enough for me then after 12 hour flight, I just wanted to sleep. Watch out! The sink in the toilet is too shallow. Water splashes every time. Everyone seems to have the problem with the lift. The key card to get to each floor does not work at all. I notice that it happen with the first lift. Luckily, I had the tenant who stays there help me. Overall is fine. I was happy with the room the most. Next door is South Australia/Adelaide tourist information. Check it out!
