South Australia hotels & places to stay

Stayed here for the first time in 10 years, normally stay at another apartment when in town, as it was Mad March we were unable to get that apartment. Frankin Apartments are bigger than most, have washing machine and dryer. the kitchen facilities are very good. good size fridge, crockery and cutlery were ample. Lounge was a bed sofa but very comfortable. cleaner were polite and helpful. we will e travelling to Adelaide within the next couple of weeks ( live in Penang) we are going to stay there again. Great place for walking to South Terrace and Wakefield St. Thanks to everyone for making our stay 100%.. Thanks to all for making our stay what it was comfortable.

The Hotel was easy to access from Adelaide Airport via the handy Airport Shuttle Bus ($10.00 AUD). I use a VISA debit card and so I had to give an additional deposit of $200.00 to secure my booking this was very promptly refunded when I checked out at the end of my visit. The buffet breakfasts were very good and I also had some lunches and dinners in the Hotel. Pleased with all my meals. It took me a little while to find the air conditioning control panel just inside the doorway of my room but once I had the air conditioning was good and easy to manage. I very much liked the view of the Adelaide Hills from my 12th floor room. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The Hotel is a short walk from many CBD attractions. I visited the South Australian Gallery and the South Australian Museum. I enjoyed accessing Rundle Mall via the Adelaide Arcade and in the Adelaide Arcade I discovered the Elysian Lifestyle Salon where I had a manicure, pedicure and some waxing done by the very helpful staff. I was in Adelaide to attend a wedding and again the Hotel was an easy walk (20 minutes) to the Church and I was able to take a taxi to the wedding reception at the Botanical Gardens Restaurant. The Ibis is a good hotel, in a great location with helpful staff - I recommend this hotel!!!

A prominent Hotel on the corner of West/South Tce overlooking Parklands in Adelaide, South Australia. The entrance is only accessible by travelling south along West Tce. It has a small but secure Car Park with direct Hotel entry. Guests are treated to a sixth floor Bar and Restaurant, (dinner service only) plus Gym, Swimming Pool and Spa all with great views. The Bar had the basics but lacked locally made boutique drinks for which the city is renound. The Restaurant offered a small selection on its menu where they more than made up the local content with some delicious meals. At ground level the Smorgasbord Breakfast is cooked alongside the servery and offers fresh and tasty selections. The dining area, although small, is a wonderful place to greet the day from and has some outside tables too. The King Spa room had limited Room Service and no discernible views but was spacious and extremely comfortable. An affordable stay with a touch of luxury.

Located in the very center of this city with quite easy access to all the shopping areas nearby, Hotel Richmond is the best choice for the travellers new to this city. The most impressive thing in my eyes is the friendly staff members working at the reception. I have to mention two guys. They offered me a lot of help even before I arrived. The facilities in the room are clean and tidy. Room service is also very efficient. I believe I will come back soon.

I have been travelling to the Mawson Lakes area for the last 10 years for work. For most of that period (once I discovered it) i have stayed at the Mawson Lakes hotel and have often recommended it to a number of colleagues. There are a variety of rooms to stay in, both within the hotel and also in apartments in the area. There is plenty of quality restaurants and value meals in and around the hotel.The hotel offers a large and value for money breakfast, and there are ample safe walking tracks around the lake to walk off all the calories. Katie has worked in reception for the majority of the time I have stayed there and always ensures I get the best rates and offers. Katie only asks that I book direct with her rather than online as Katie can offer me the best deals if I deal with her direct. I will continue to stay there when working in SA and recommend this hotel, particularly for business travelers - it is a tick in every box and reasonably priced.

My stay at BreakFree was excellent. It is convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk from Rundle Mall, less than 5 minute walk to the free shuttle bus stop and tram stop. The cab fare from Adelaide Airport to the hotel is about A$20. The location of the hotel was very peaceful and serene. The free wifi and computer connected to printers at the hotel lobby are particularly useful. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly. The room is equipped with full cooking facilities - induction stoves, microwave oven, conventional oven, refrigerator, pots, plates, cutlery, and even salt and pepper! I There is a courtyard which is quite spacious and good for enjoying sunshine/night breeze.

This is an old hotel & has a bit of a Regal feel about it. The rooms are very clean, comfortable & quiet & staff helpful & friendly. We got great value for money booking through AGODA. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to public transport or if you like walking, easy walk to beautiful parklands, Adelaide Oval, Festival Theatre, River Torrens, CBD, Adelaide Railway Station & surrounded by plenty of eating places. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others.

the owners of the motel were very helpful and provided a free laundry and spin drier - ideal when you have been travelling across australia for nearly three weeks. plenty of car parking and a nice garden in the middle which made a pleasant change. rooms were a decent size and contained all the usual amenities. the bed was very comfy. breakfast was served in the room.

Wife and I took my parents to Adelaide for a long weekend (first visit for all of us). Arrival at the hotel gave some indication of the weekend we'd be in for. A couple of blocks East of the CBD and close to North, South and East Terraces the location could not have been better. The staff were great. Rooms were clean and quiet; ditto the hotel. A great experience and with wife and we'll definitely be staying there when we return. Comfy beds, well appointed rooms and free buffet style breakfast bar too for those not wanting to make breakfast the first event out for the day. Faultless stay.

This accommodation is very close to shops, restaurants etc., however we booked thinking there would be two beds in the queen executive room as was stated on Agodas booking site but there was just a queen bed as it had been advertised wrong. We found the unit very noisey at night with street noise and then they resealed the road at night as well. We left early in the morning to catch a flight and the night staff guy was cleaning all the car windows in the car park which I thought was a nice gesture.

The stay was wonderful. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment instead of a1 bedroom apartment. The rooms were large and comfortable, the bathroom was big and clean and the living room and kitchen was big open and light filled oh and it even had a good sized balcony. The balcony was missing furniture however but I assume its on the way as they only just opened. The furniture and amenities in the room were clean, comfortable and made our stay really lovely with the room equipped with everything you need like an oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The room itself seemed to be quiet and we did not hear a peep from any of the other guests that were staying there. The staff were lovely too and were very helpful. There was a slight mistake with the account and I was overcharged but once i spoke to the staff they fixed it right away. The location was great and was in a quiet area but only a minute walk to a pleather of cafes, bars and restaurants. All the other inner city sights such as the markets and main shopping street were only a 10 minute walk away. It really was great value for money and we really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend anyone wanted a home away from home when they visit Adelaide.

We were surprised to find that we were in another section of the motel, about 350 metres down the road. They could easily have been different companies! The spa was not working in the pool area, and had not been for sometime the lady said - this was one of the main reasons that I booked the Vine Inn. The pool was quite nice, but you had to go in through the main hotel, so for us, we had a walk 350 metres up main Street, then through the motel past the sports bar to get to the access. No chance of just wearing a light cover up over your swimmers, and with no where to change, we dripped our way back to our room, not having the option of staying for a drink. The pool itself is quite nice, but with 3 related families and 12 children all having fun, we didn't stay as long as we might have otherwise on a 38.c day. It was fine, but their rooms over looked the pool, and a family reunion was underway so we left it to them. The restaurant was like a big RSL, both in decor and staff, but the food was very good, and reasonably priced. Half serves were also available. The washing machine & dryer weren't working, but there was a large, deep sink, plenty of pegs and line space. The beds were comfortable and the shower easily accessible for the disabled. Although I would have preferred to be in the main hotel, I would stay there again.

The stay was terrific, however, we booked at the restaurant (Umberto) and ordered oysters natural, thy smelled really bad and we sent it back and told the waitress that these oysters are not fresh and it is dangerous to eat. No response from the chef and were charged for them. We own a restaurant ourselves and we know what should have been done. Not even an apology. The rest of the meals were ok, pretty average but we didn't expect much of Coober Pedy restaurants... But Umberto is a lovely decorated restaurant that depicts an upmarket food and service. We were very disappointed with the indifference.

I stayed at this apartment with a girl friend for 4 nights. We wanted to be central to everything as it was our first time to Adelaide. We found it was cheaper to book with Agoda and paid $118 per night. From the airport we caught the J1 bus to Currie Street for $2.50. Then had less than a 5 minute walk to Quest. The markets were 10-15 mins walk from the apartment and it was close to Rundall Mall. The bus to Glenelg beach is also right outside Quest so this made it is to travel and sight see. The apartment itself was clean, spacious and quite quiet (I stayed in a one bedroom 808). The rooms are serviced daily and are equipped with a microwave, fridge and portable stove. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a cheap but comfortable stay.

I stayed at the motel for a week and from the moment I arrived I felt happy and pleased with my choice to stay in Port Noarlunga in this lovely , clean and well located and well organized motel. It's only a short walk down to the beautiful beach and local shops and bars. I had a fantastic time and staying at the motel made my trip perfect. The owners are so friendly and helpful and will make sure that you are well looked after and comfortable during your stay. The motel rooms are clean ,tidy and nicely decorated. I had all I needed and felt very comfortable . Altogether and to sum my trip up ...l had the perfect time at the best motel I ever stayed in in South Australia . I will be coming back and can recommend this place to anyone because it is of the highest standard and the owners can only be praised for running it so well . Thank you for my beautiful stay at the Port Noarlunga Motel !!!

the retreat is a tricky one to locate on both gps and google map. it is actually located along koch road where you will see an old red lorry at the junction. drive ~1km and you will come across the sign for jcr. once you have found it, this is one of the best location for you to escape to. beautiful gardens and lots of perosnal attention and space (they only have 7 rooms). will definitely revisit to try their long lunches.

We had a lovely time here, it's ideally based if you want to be close to the ferry terminal, it's within walking distance. We had a villa which are located to the rear of the main hotel. It was clean and functional offering self catering facilities, with a supermarket within walking distance. The only thing I would say as being from the UK, we underestimate the distances involved for visiting the attractions on the island. It's quite a trek each day to reach somewhere different. Perhaps next time I would position myself elsewhere, somewhere more central. Nether the less we had a good time and I would certainly reccomend this hotel if you want to stay in Penneshaw.

We are so blessed to live in this accomodation! The house was clean, tidy, and quiet. All things were provided, hairdryer, toiletries, milk, cereal, coffee, tea, and, even a load of Fresh Bread for Breakfast!!! Services were so good that we didn't even wanna check out this place. The owner also provide a thick booklet of nice restaurants nearby. Very considerate. We were so grateful for this house, and we pray that it could be a blessing for other travellers too! Highly recommend!

I had mistakenly booked for 1 night when i needed 2 for a work trip. Being school holidays there were no other available rooms or accommodation anywhere else in Tanunda. Later on the first day i received a call back from the Motor Lodge to say that a room had become available; needless to say i booked it immediately. They went above and beyond to find me a room and remembered the predicament i was in. Will book again!

The customer service from the receptionists were great however when I asked for a call to confirm when the apartment will be available for early check-in, my number was taken down wrong and so I didnt receive the call. I could only suggest that the receptionist look to the original booking to confirm the contact details and they would have seen the correct number to use. Outside of this, their service was fantastic. The apartment was lovely too, my only complaint is that the mattress in the master bedroom is well past its date for replacement; it is all lumpy and the springs are out of alignment, leading to a terrible night's sleep. I will definitely be recommending RnR Apartments and will look to use them again myself. Next time I'll check to see if there's a better mattress within one of the other rooms first, before deciding which room to stay in.
