Dee was the attendant at our time of check in. She was very competent. We were traveling with dogs for the first time. The hotel was accommodating and assigned a room that allowed us to bring them in with us. The rooms were clean and comfortable. No dog/cat or other animal smells. We had a great stay at this hotel with our 3 kids (ages 12, 9, and 6). The kids loved the waterslide and pool and hot tub. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we appreciated the sleeper sofa. Breakfast was great!
Room was clean! However, the toilet was filthy! Someone crapped and left in toilet.
We chose this location because of it's proximity to the Black Hills, Badlands and Devil's tower. It is just off a main road that is quiet and safe. The included breakfast is hot and well catered. The facilities are clean and the people we met, staff and tourists, were very friendly. Overall, I was very pleased.
Pros: hot breakfast, nice pool and hot tub, friendly staff. Con: I am not sure if they had an elevator which did not bother me and my boys, but it may be harder for elderly or some with handicaps. I actually liked the stairs. They were located in the front and opened up the front desk area. It was easy to access the front desk from anywhere.
This motel is good value for money but they do have a resort fee which is a little redundant. Its clean, comfortable and the breakfast selection is ok. The pool looked good for kids but we did not use it. The staff were fantastic and friendly though and even being stuck in a snow storm here was fine. I would stay again.
Our stay was great, this hotel was only listed at one star on another site, so I took a chance because Agoda had it for a great price. We were pleasantly surprised and glad we took the chance. Staff was nice, hotel was across the street from two restaurants, kids loved the pool.

I did not find that the staff was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived to the hotel or during our stay. The breakfast (sausage gravy and eggs) were cold. We had two bed in our room and one seemed like it was time to retire it! When you sat on it or laid down you sunk.

This hotel is well situated for visits to Badlands National Park. The breakfast had a lot of good choices. My only issue was a defective lock that locked me out of my room on a very cold afternoon and took about 1/2 an hour to get resolved.

Great hotel, was in the area visiting The Badlands, Mt Rushmore, and Custer State Park. My flight arrived early, and they were able to check me into a room before check in time. The check in was easy and the employee at the desk was a very nice lady. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was limited but good. I'd stay there again.
We had a great one night stay. It was easy to get in and out. Great pizza place across the street. Breakfast wasn't anything special, but was serviceable. The staff was awesome!! They went above and beyond expectations when they found out we needed documents faxed for our house closing.

Cheap places to stay in South Dakota
This motel is overall good. It was clean but I want to mention two things. First, it was really hard to operate the shower in my room. There was an instruction but it wouldn't work properly. Second, breakfast was not good. There were only a few things prepared, so I went to Walmart to grab my breakfast. If you don't expect too much, this place is great to stay a night....

The front desk clerk struggled with the credit card technologies. I called my CC company to confirm the problem was not my card (20 minutes on the phone). Finally got a room. When making our reservations, we selected this location with waterpark for the kids to enjoy , but when we got there we were told the waterpark was a separate cost .
The gentleman who was at the front desk on 11/8/18 was so kind. We were given a second floor room but when he saw my husband used a walker, he quickly offered a handicapped room on the first floor. Much appreciated.
