The hotel was clean and the Taichung city view was nice, however, when I was waiting for the breakfast buffet (stir fried vegetable and steam egg part), he chief was tasting his food while he was cooking using his own spatula, after taste the food he put it back and continue to stir the food!!! It's so gross! They shouldn't be doing that! The Lin hotel obviously copie...

La Vida Hotel was a good choice for our quick stopover in Taichung. The hotel had opened only weeks before and the facility was absolutely dazzling - the lobby artwork, the elevators, the hallway carpeting - everything tasteful, stylish, and gleaming clean. The location proved ideal. Given our 8:30pm arrival at Taichung Airport from Hong Kong, we were concerned a...

One word - PERFECTO!! Staying in this hotel nothing could ever go wrong. The hotel staff, the room, the breakfast and the location, simply wonderful. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to overnight at Taichung city. The moment you step out from the hotel entrance door, that's where you'll find FengJia Night Market. Yes, this hotel is in the centre...

It was a very enjoyable stay at the Park City Hotel Central Taichung. The Hotel rooms were clean, modern, spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The toilet was very clean but it would be better if it has a shower room instead of a bathtub. The walls were soundproof too. The Breakfast provided by the hotel were great with a good variety of food, a very awesome sta...

Without a car, it's really hard to get to this hotel. We tried calling the hotel to ask about frer shuttle timetable but we simply couldn't get through. The line was busy all day. We tried getting a taxi from Chenggong Train Station at 6pm, a couple of taxis refused to take us to the hotel. We finally got into one but the driver refused to set the meter and made us...

It was a pleasant surprise for us to check-in to Aeris International Hotel at Taichung with our 2 young kids. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from HSR Station. The hotel has a classy ambience. I arrived 3 hours earlier than the check-in time, but the Concierge was so kind to arrange check-in for us 2 hours before time. That was such a relief for us to rest briefly b...

Love the decor here and they pay attention to details eg lots of hanger, nice shower gel, torchlight, pantry with free drinks and ice cream, games, view of taichung city on 9th floor. Staffs are friendly and professional too. definitely will choose this hotel again when we visit taichung in future. kids love the shooting game in the room too.

Nice hotel and good location. Very near to the sogo departmental store. Convenient to go around. The service of the hotel was exxcellent. Staff were very helpful. They were very informative. i loved my stay there. In fact, after just a single night stay, I travelled around Taiwan and when back in Taichung, decided to stay for another 2 nights here. Breakfast has a large selection. Of course, you cannot compare the selection with international chain hotels but this is definitely not bad, considering that I was just having the traditional Taiwanese breakfast...

located in the center of taichung city (10 min by taxi from the hsr station), this hotel is top class for everything from the service to the room... for a very reasonable price. the rooms are spacious, modern and fully equipped, with english speaking entertainment channels and free internet. perfectly suitable for business trips as for sightseeing tours. the breakfast ...

Nice clean and cozy!! Feel staying at home with awesome furniture and design! Located at downtown good location with fashion design stores around and also surrounded by designed house coffee shops. You can easily walk around this cute area and find some good food or you can take a break at a nice and professional coffee shop/ dessert shop. Enjoy the time in Taichung!

I had to stay near the Sport University for a few days and the Cloud hotel was one of the cheapest in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the room, I didn't expect a room of that size in this price range. Also, everything was clean and tidy, with great air conditioning and pretty quiet nights. It's near Taichung Park, so there's a night market nearby, as well as ma...

Location is good as it is quite centralised and it is really clean. The brekfast was quite great too. I received it right the next day! The staffs' service is definitely wor...

Each stay, I’d request a different room to my favor. That is because for each floor of this boutique hotel, a well reputable interior designer was commissioned to partake on the design. Each room has it own unique design. For this stay, I arrived late and the friendly staff upgraded me into one of the room to my favor! Thrilled! (To the staff: Thanks guys!) So, I’d de...

Locates at the cente of Taichung city, it is convenient to reach major spots in Taichung city. Room is spacious and clean, and the in-room TV has a big screen! And the hotel is quite famous in town and most taxi drivers can reach the pl...

Good accomodation & location near taichung station, very courteous and friendly staffs, breakfast are delicious! We have cancelled our booking 1 day prior to our 2nd day of accomodation because my mom got sick, so Agoda charged 50 % cancellation fee, then we have decided to reinstate it again because my mom got better, and they really helped us very well. Agoda and the...

It’s just 5mins walk from Taichung train station, very convinient! Apart, buses traveling within Taichung city is accessible just downstairs, and buses traveling to other cities just 3 mins walk. The surrounding features with convinient store, food stalls, the famous dessert shop Mihayara Ice Cream (just 5-7mins walk from hotel) and etc. Hotel breakfast features good ...

this hotel is located at the cbd. has a nice short walk to taichung park. very new hotel and facilities. room is very big and have a nice size jaccuzzi all to ourselves. had a fantastic 3 night stay. about 10 mins walk to the taichung tra to travel out. its located along the the main road of shops selling suncakes. 10 to 15 mins walk to yizhong market and miyahara

My family were pleasantly surprised with the hotel I've booked. The room is a good size for 4 of us. Nice deco and staffs are very friendly & helpful. My daughter forgot her stuff toy after we checked out. We only found out the night after we left Taichung. Called up the hotel & they managed to arrange for the toy tone sent to our hotel in Taipei. This hotel is located just a mere few minutes walk from the Fengchia Nite Market. We just loved this hotel. The premise is clean, housekeeping is tip top, reliable wifi, comfortable rooms and the unique thing about this hotel is their "Living Room". Here's where you could get your coffee fix or tea, use fully equipped pantry/kitchen like facilities with sofa seating, ...

If location was your main concern, look no further. PLAZA HOTEL TAICHUNG is the place to stay at. Located next to the railway station and with easy access to public buses, you can save loads on transport. During my 3 days/2 nights @ Taichung City, I did not have to take any taxi, but relied on public transport to Yizhong shopping district & Fengjia night market. Ther...

Pros: -Room was very spacious and clean. Sofas and mattress were super comfortable. -excellent location. Lots of places to see within walking distance. Several convenience stores are nearby. Cons: -it's a weird design that the only sink is placed in the living room, not beside the toilet. So if you wish to wash your hands after doing your business you need to walk...
Cheap places to stay in Taichung City

-Located within walking distance to traditional market for food and BRT (transit) -extremely friendly and helpful staff -affordable pricing for quality -spacious room though we got a room without a bathtub, the large bed was a great trade off -breakfast buffet included This is our second time at Kiwi Chenggong branch. Definitely our go to hotel in Taichung!

we enjoyed the night at taichung box design hotel as the room was very clean and minimalist style. the design of the power points were very thoughtful as the power points were installed at convenient areas such as having 2 power points at each sides of the bed. you will not worry or fight to use the power point to charge your phones! the director was very friendly and ...

The accommodation was excellent despite its size. Toiletries was prepared and quite high standard for me. The room was alright; tidy and clean. The common area is also quite spacious for people to hang around and chit chat. Overall this listing is great and i'll definitely come back to this listing again if I visit Taichung again.

Location is good, close to the train station and not too far from Taichung city centre. The rooms were large, modern and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and we had a lovely bathtub in one of the rooms. Staff were friendly and facilities in the hotel were great! Breakfast is very simple (toast and porridge) and the breakfast area gets very busy and crowded in the mo...

The boss and front desk workers provided services in kind way. Well Introduce the facilities of hotel, provided gogoro in charge. There are just closed to the train station and so buses transportation. The huge spaced capsule that I have ever stayed. Thumb up!!

The hotel facilities were amazing. The women's dorms is a nice isolated room with 6 beds, very comfortable. The location is great, right next to the beautiful Taichung park and walking distance from really good restaurant too. Best of all is the staff, super kind and helpful in every way! Cheapest place I could find as well!

This is not the cheapest hotel and frankly, there may be better ones around. But i simply cant find any serious fault with this hotel. It is clean, reliable and in a great location, it is basically in the middle of most activity. Still need to travel by bus but there is expected in a non-metro city like Taichung.

Got bite by bed bugs...have informed to the owner and hope they have changed the bed. Room is very simple with limited socket for phone charging. Very cold at night( strong wind comes from window). My stay was winter. +cheap, worth for money -only two toilet, the water is either too hot(until it hurts me) or too cold (wait for few minutes for the hot water to come duri...

Very near from Taichung train station walking distance easy to find. Well management & clean rooms. The staff was very helpful to explain everything & allowed me to put baggage after check out. Highly recommend to all of backpackers who going to Taichung this cute hotel.

There was only 1 mixed room of about 30 beds, my neighbors were two men who snored a lot... you need to check if there is hot water before using the bathroom and if its not, you need to ask the staff (I once took bath with cold water cause it was too late to ask for hot water). The rest is fine, I like its lobby with brightness. Maybe if there is next time visiting Ta...

Hostel is easy to access from TaiChung airport, ard 30 mins bus. And also near the bus station towards centre. Staff are super nice and helpful here, it feels like a place like home more than just a place to sleep. A good place to know more people when travelling here, highly recommend.

First, there is nothing that indicates this hostel name in furface so very difficult to find. Then, when i entered this hostel that have another hotel`s name, the person over the desk said this is it, and he asked me to make a phone call to the owner that isn`t there. It was first time for me to be asked to make a phone call when checking in. I said i can because my ...

We travelled to Taichung in group of 6 adults with 1 kid. We booked 3 rooms at Alibaba and we enjoy our stay here. The host - Miss Lim is friendly and our rooms were big & clean. It's very close to Fengjia night market ... just walking distance. We will be back next time when we travel to Taichung.

My friend and I took some time locating the hostel from the bus stop we stopped at (you can take the BRT buses practically for free for up to 10 kilometers), but the staff we called was very friendly and patient in explaining the directions. It is near a huge open-air carpark and there is a small sign near the carpark entrance that indicated the hostel name, but you mi...

1. A very clean hostel. There is women's' only wing, and guys' only wings. The kitchen is very neat and tidy. Have 24H coffees, teas, juices, bicuits. I am impressed by the toilet. The way they hang the toothpaste is so creative. But some people might not have deep sleep, as there is a night club at the 12th floor. (the hostel is located at the 10th floor) 2. Staffs ...

It was a nice experience to stay here one night. It's so clean here and in female dorm, you can have semi-private shower room, which means you do not have to share it with male. For girl, it's excellent! Also the spacious public place to watch TV, play games and read some several translation novels. You won't feel regretful to choose here for your accommodation. 💕

The price is very reasonable. The place is about 15 minutes walk to the Fengcha night market, and yet the cost is only about 1/4 of a hotel closer to the Fengcha market. If you do not mind the extra 10 minutes walk time, this place offers an excellent value.

LOCATION: In city center but not particularly close to the train station nor any of the attractions I had on my itinerary. I took an Uber/taxi to all my destinations so keep this in mind for transport. STAFF: Claire checked me in upon arrival and she is absolutely the sweetest. Wonderful attitude and provided good advice for traveling in Taichung. FACILITIES: Common ...

Excellent location. Super near the Taichung train station which was great as I travelled a bit on the train to get to small towns in the countryside. Lots of bus stops nearby which allowed me to hop onto buses that took me to all the places I needed to get to in Taichung city. The first 10km of travel on the buses are free. Just tap with your Easycard. Loads of cheap ...

Great location at Fengjia night market is just below the premises. Please bear in mind there is one floor of stairs you need to climb before reaching the lift to the room. The air conditioner is very old and we feel very hot at night. Room cleanliness is still acceptable and I guess the affordable price compensate the stay.

This hotel is newly built at the time we arrived. There is no sign so you will need to contact the host when you arrive. The room is very well designed, super clean with new and modern facilities - which is a plus compared with general standard of 3-star hotels in Taichung. The young handsome host can speak decent English, and he really was helpful. Though the hotel do...

About 5 minutes walk from Taichung City Hall. New, Clean facility. Value for Money. Hot/cold water dispenser. Small Fridge. Big surprise is room comes with washing machine cum dryer. Lots of eateries at 西屯路 (about 10 mins walk north). Less than 20 mins bus ride to 逢甲夜市 (FengJia Night Market)

Hotel rate is not cheap in this area but I must say that we had a great stay here. The hot spring was great with the scenery around. Relaxing! There was a table tennis table and a small basketball court for the boys to have some fun. We had fun at the claw machines, arcade basketball and even archery. Cheap thrills compared to the price we have to pay back home. Dinne...

It was new, nice and clean hotel in Taichung near Fengchia Night market. We had a warm welcome from staff at the hotel. We arrived around 1plus. Check in time was 3pm. A well decorated hotel in Taichung city and I had a very pleasant time staying here for 2 nights. Amenities supplied in bathroom was famous commercial product - "ginger flavoured liquid shampoo and soap". Location is also good - - - close to Zhong-xiao Road night market. I definitely would like to stay here again.

This is not the first time I am staying at this hotel and whenever, I am at Taichung, I prefer staying at 'Taichung Harbor Hotel'. I would like to share my experience wherein after checking out from the hotel, I realized that my mobile was left in the taxi. With great and timely assistance of the hotel staff, I got my mobile back in one hour, wherein they traced the t...

Location - it's located in an old area meanwhile you can see more local Taichung streets, shops and city planning but a lil distance from the main biz and new area but Uber works well. Room - good size and you can see the consideration from the room design, daily supplies. I bought the shampoo stuff from the front desk too. Staff - helpful n friendly

This is one of my favorite hotels in Taichung. The room was spacious and comfortable, although the decor was a bit old. The buffet breakfast is excellent. What I liked most was the rooftop gym, pool and spa -- a really nice place to relax and soak in city views, plus there were very few people using the place.

The location is really ideal in Taichung city, really close to a night market where you can get some of the most delicious Taichung dishes. Ask front office ;) The room was little tiny but well designed and the bed was sooo great! Simple breakfast in the morning but really good enough to start the day. A car park service is available just around the hotel.

Location is good and close to Fengjia night market and Taichung station, but same name hotel "Inhouse hotel" is very close, so it cause taxi driver's confusion. I recommend to change Chinse hotel name. Or it can keep cause big confusion. Workers are very kind and profession. They arranged taxi service from hotel to airport and it is cheap and convenient. However, hotel...

When we arrived very late around 9pm at the hotel, the hotel staff was still waiting to welcoming us. Surprisingly, they even prepared some mini toys for the children as gift. The hotel has a Balinese motif that is nicely executed if not 100% Bali. Our room had a really spacious bath, twice as large as the bedroom with two tubs, one hot and one cold.
