Where to stay in Tak Province
Tak Province hotels & accommodations

Although there are many good quality hotels in Mae Sot, many of which are brand new, the Centara is the only international standard hotel in the whole city and probably the whole province, with the exception of the capital, Tak. This is because the hotel offers full facilities including buffet breakfast, lunch, dinner (2 restaurants), room service, a business centre, c...

Passing through Tak wasn't meant to be a highlight of our trip, it was just a place to stop to break up the trip -- people said, there's nothing to see in Tak but we loved it, thanks to Soho it was a welcomed recoup on a motorbike trip around the loop from Chiang Mai to Sukhothai and back again. The hotel is even better than it appears online in pictures, tucked away...

Baan Rabiang Mai was a splendid place to stay in Mae Sot. The rooms are gorgeous. The staff were extremely helpful. For example, we forget the hotel arranges transportation to/from the airport. The manger reminded us and then paid for the taxi. The 4 star rating is definitely deserved, and we will definitely stay there again when we return to Mae Sot.

We needed a place just off the highway near Tak, and this location was perfect. The resort is actually quite large, with multiple buildings. We booked a triple room, with three twin beds, and it was a large room with plenty of space. It was very clean, and had everything we needed for a stop-over while traveling. Travelers coming from south Thailand to north, FYI: Goog...

The hotel is lovely ad charming. You can feel it from the moment you enter the resort, from the antique Thai-style house, to the beautiful sala surrounded in the middle of the lotus pond, while located in a lush valley. We arrived at this hotel at dusk to be literally greeted at the car and checked- and settled-in with wonderful solicitous care by the fantastic hotel staff. I paid more than $18 for my Delux room but there is no shampoo, only cheap little soap, no water heater for coffee and no coffee or tea in the rooms. I have spent over five years living and working in Thailand, travelled all over the country, and RETRO in Mae Sot was one of the best experiences in terms of value for money. Simple accomodation, but very clean and friendly staff. It would be interesting to see it after few years if the owner manages to maintain the standard.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this resort. It's small and the rooms in little bungalows are absolutely spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This resort is located in a village right on the edge of the River Ping. It's a beautiful village, charming.

Our first stay after being in Myanmar for 3 weeks, we LOVED the cleanliness and value for the price. Everything in the room and bathroom was still fresh white and new! The superior room was large and had a small balcony and large fridge, nice touches. Wifi was fantastic on the 1st floor but lagged heavily on the 3rd floor. Family and staff running are very responsive and helpful though some limits to English. One of least expensive alternatives for this city. Probably has very good long term rental rates an...

It's located in a housing estate. No taxi knows this hostel. Those who booked this hostel, just turn into a small road opposite FORD MOTORS along Asia Road (main road ), a sign (not prominent) indicated the location. I originally booked for one night but ended up staying a few more. The staff were always smiling and courteous. The room was very clean, except for some spider webs in the bathroom. I had no problems finding the hotel but I think I got lucky because the sign is not so obvious and the building is down a short lane.
