Traveling to Morocco? Find Tangier-Tetouan hotels

I think the location is just too far from the mall/train station (about 5 min (no traffic) - 10 min w/ traffic). You can get a taxi though for just 10MAD/per person. There are no restaurants nearby except the hotel's room service/buffet offer/restaurant. Despite the location we still enjoy the pool, the staff were helpful. Room service food wasn't bad :) but if you are staying for a week, not enough menu selection. If you want peace and quite, then book this one. Good for family I would say.

Checking in took a lil longer. The Staff lady was awarded as Employee of the month although at first, she was not that apprehended on me. And manger had to intervene. The room was clean but we had to call the room staff coz the window won't open up. she was trying to do it, but she gave up. My husband was abit disappointed, we called the attention of the hotel receptionist yet they said, they can't do anything about it.

The riad is located very conveniently inside the Medina, a few minutes walk away from the square. We love the clean room and helpful staff. It's a pleasure to have breakfast in the garden before walking under the fierce sun outside the riad. It's like an oasis in summer. The room is a little bit small if we have luggage, and walking with luggage uphill would have been very tiring, but we only carried backpacks which makes the stay much easier. I'd recommend this riad to my friends.

Quiet, comfortable, clean, spacious rooms. It doesn't have any 'soul', but that's to be expected. I checked in after several sleepless nights in a dirty noisy hotel in the Old City and appreciated it a lot. For 65dh extra you get a hearty breakfast. The location is near the beach, so would be ideal if that's where you are heading. Restaurants nearby are modern (i.e. no Moroccan food) - you will have to walk 20 minutes West if you're looking for Morocca. If you take a taxi from the old Medina make sure to ask the driver to use the meter - if he doesn't, take a photo of his car/number plate and inform the Ibis/police. It's a common scam for drivers to drop you near the Ibis (not outside) and then insist on more money. Sigh. Welcome to Tangier.

Chefchaouen is an incredible village and Puerta Azul was a great place to stay! The rooms were spacious- living room, mini kitchen, and fridge and also very clean. My boyfriend loved the decor and ambiance. Most importantly was the awesome staff. They made sure we knew how to get around- explaining the taxis etc...We had awesome conversations and feel like we made friends. The breakfast was also great! So much food! I’m obsessed with the pancakes. We went to Akchour which is a must do! The hotel is very convenient to everything and has a great rooftop where you can look up into the Medina. Close to everything! Id stay here again!

Staff is extremely pleasant, reliable and helpful. They've given genuine advice on touring around, food and scenic spots in Chefchaouen. Special acknowledgement goes to Said Raih, Omar and the overnight steward (a lovely guy) who made me feel welcoming at the lodge. Location is good which is close to Ras El-ma (a public carpark) and within 10-15 mins walk to Place outa el Hamman or te Spanish Mosque. I stayed on the ground floor just next to reception and pantry (i.e. the same level of the alley). The reception of wifi is relatively weak and the lighting of the room is dim. The pedestrians walked by early in the morning or late at night could be quite noisy or annoying especially if they were chatting. Apart from these nitty-gritty, Casa Sabila is a good option to stay at Chefchaouen.

The staff are friendly here, from receptionist to those serving breakfast and to those cleaning the rooms. It's a little high up so it's slightly away from the touristy area, but that means there's you also get a really nice view up in the terrace. When I say high up, it really means a climb but it's really only about 3-5 minute walk from where everything is. When I come back to Chefchaouen, I'll choose this hotel again.

It is a rite-of-passage to get lost in the medinas of Morocco while looking for your hotel upon arrival. But once I found Dar Swiar, I really appreciated the location. It is not far from the plaza and a main road (convenient for taxis). Yet, it is located in a quiet alleyway, not in the middle of the most crowded areas where the tourists are passing by all the time. Best thing about Dar Swiar is the lovingly-decorated room and wonderful facilities of a simple kitchenette. The owner is extremely friendly, and so is the neighbour (hahaa) who manned the leather store opposite. Great value-for-money. Highly-recommended.

Our stay was wonderful. When I wrote, prior to arrival with questions, Nourrdine wrote back immediately with more information than I asked for. The staff was attentive and helpful during our stay, as well. The front rooms have a view of Chefchaouen - much better than being in the medina is to wake up to that view! However, the hotel is very close to the center, if you want to walk into town. Good wifi and a nice breakfast make this a hotel I would stay at again.

We LOVED the guesthouse. Both Mohammed and Antonio were incredibly helpful and friendly. The hostel itself is simply gorgeous and very near the center and maybe ten minutes from the hiking trails. The staff helped us arrange transport to Tangier Med and made sure we were as comfy as possible. The rooms are lovely, clean, and dozy. The downstairs bathroom's shower is the coolest thing ever, set up like a waterfall sort of. We wanted badly to stay another night but had to get back to Spain. Would absolutely and hope to stay here again.

Me and my wife visited Chefchaouen as a pit stop en route to Marrakech, and was nearly tricked by a dodgy resident trying to lead us away from the hotel. However, luckily another resident asked us where we were going and pointed us in the correct direction, and upon reaching the hotel, the staff was very friendly and made the check-in process smooth, and after sending us to our room, we could hear her scolding and the dodgy resident and we never saw him again ever since. Room's comfort level is average, with hot shower. However, what truly made it for us was the wholesome and delicious breakfast on the rooftop complete with scenic view of mountains. We really enjoyed ourselves while having breakfast and watching the sunrise. We had then checked out and asked the owner whether we could leave our luggage while we went around the city to shop and sightsee, and she not only gladly agreed, but when we returned around 5pm and tried to give her a token tip as thanks, she strongly refused until I told that I was not going to leave until she accepted! All in all we had a very pleasant experience at the hotel, and while the location and view are great points, we will never forget the warmth shown us by the owners:)

Location perfect but the hotel was not. It has a four star rating so I expected more but the room was very average and the toilet leaked leaving water all over the floor in the bathroom..the Internet didn't work at all in the room and the Tv didn't work. The hotel has a bar but only two types of beer and no wihite wine. However the biggest problem was the restaurant food. The soup was tasteless, the main average and the desert was stale and clearly had been sitting around way too long. Both G and I ended up with a bad case of Morocco Belly afterwards. The receptionist was very helpful.

Make sure you download Google maps offline before going there. It's hard to find once you get there but locals will lead you there for a tip. Our room was cute and quintessential to the location. Hard to warm up and there was no warm water so we had to skip shower (this may have been only a temporary problem) you'll have to eat elsewhere. Nice staff and excellent location, right in the blue part. Be ware of thug guys who hang out ouside the blue part. If you are driving they want money for "guarding your car" over night. I refused and almost got into a fight with one of them. The room is overall good and I would recommend it.

The Hotel is very well located, right in the Medina entrance . The staff is very friendly and helpful, in particular Omar, the reception man . The building is really very nice, like a small Riad .The price is very convenient . As a not so good aspects, the room is too cold during the night (there are any heating system in operation), and the amount of hot water available in the bath, is really too short .

The room we booked was really small, 2 little beds and no place to move around (and no attached bathroom) ... even if it was the most expensive room we paid in Morrocco (in 6 weeks). We were a bit desappointed, but we could understand... Chefchaouen is a really famous city and the hotel is well located. At night, we moved a little wood nightstand, and unfortunatly, we saw bed bugs. We went to the reception to show them. They offered us a new room (bigger, with bathroom, probably lot more expensive). They didnt ask us to pay more and we didnt see others bedbugs! So maybe it was only in the first room... There is a nice terrace up there; nice view but could be cleaner (dirty tables and chairs). Also, there is an other place to hang out downstairs, but it is also dirty, with a trash smell (the trash was full the 2 days we were there).
