Tibet Autonomous Region hotels & accommodations

The location is great - in between the river and snowy mountains with a large private estate decorated with pines and beautiful flowers. Service was substantially below standard though. Arrived on a rainy day and no one greeted me or offered umberra from parking lot to lobby. Had to ask staff to help carry luggage to room. Close to no table service at the Chinese res...

Morden style hotel with friendly staff. Clean, warm, quiet and offers plenty of breakfast options in both Chinese and western style. A bit far from the old town, but bus route 2 takes us to the Podala Place easily. Otherwise it's only a 10-min-taxi-ride. Jardin Secret is our base camp for visiting Tibet, letting us recover from long tiring trips! Definitely recommend!!...

We had been traveling around Tibet for 7 days before arriving at the Four Points Sheraton. We were tired of the other tibetan hotels' lack of elevators and overall poor customer service. This hotel was a wonderful way to finish our trip. We selected the Junior Suite which was FANTASTIC. The shower was great, bed was super soft (compared to hard mattresses everywhere el...

Our flight arrived early, the hotel can provide early check in. Also, they give us a lovely birthday cake to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The room is clear, large and nice view of Potala Palace. After few days stay in Tibet , this hotel is the best.

Very friendly and pleasant general manager (Jigmesh?) who spoke and understood English well and made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast was simple and tasty and included in the room rate. Internet worked well. Only downside was walking through dusty streets to get to the hotel, and also several flights of stairs up to your room depending on how high up your roo...

Yabshi Phunkhang is a charming boutique hotel with authentic Tibetan style architecture and deco. Unlike other boutique hotels in Lhasa, this one is very clean, from bed sheets to bath room. Besides its traditional exterior and interior, the hotel also equipped with modern plumbing. Staffs are very friendly. They sometimes go out of their way to accommodate our seeming...

I decided to book this hotel to relax after a tour to Everest Base Camp and back knowing that we would probably want to relax and knowing that in we would be trapped in Lhasa because of the Chinese rules and reg's. On arrival we had a problem as I booked a room with a "Landmark View". When we went into room there was a view of the garden and other rooms in the shangr...
