Upper Austria hotels & accommodations

We were pleasantly surprised at our good fortune to stay at your beautiful hotel and with many amenities in the middle of Halstatt, Austria. Our room was well appointed and the dining room, where we had dinner and the breakfast buffet, provided great tasting food with a awesome view of the lake.We greatly enjoyed our short stay at the Seehotel Gruner Braum.

This hotel is really nice and I would stay there again. Rooms are really big and breakfast and food is absolutely excellent. Staff is friendly and the lake and private beach of the hotel is just some 150 meters away. This is also in the heart of St. Wolfgang and you are in the middle of that lovely village. My room even had 2 balconies. TV could be a bit bigger and mor...

I’ve read so many comments about services of this hotel and mostly said service is not nice but I experience different one, I was welcomed and escort to the room by local receptionist who wear traditional Austrian dress, and she tried to speak English and the other staffs as well, personally since I traveled through Austria from Vienna to here Bad goisern and Hallstatt...

Room and ensuite were very modern even though the building itself is very old. Unfortunately due to it being such an old building there were lots of stairs to negotiate in order to get to the room which could be difficult for someone with limited mobility. We also thought it unusual not to have any tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast, which is included ...

The single room is clean & cozy on 2nd floor but no elevator. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was nice. bus stop right in front of the hotel and it takes only about 10 mins to Hallstatt. It is about 18 mins walk to the train station so need to take the bus if you avrrive with big luggage and don't want to walk with it, or the taxi costs euro 8 ...

The hotel is right next to the lake. It offers beautiful view as we also took lake view rooms. It's not directly in St.Wolfgang town but just next to it so with a car, it's not a problem at all and considered as very good location. Breakfast was very nice and we tried once chocolate dessert which was delicious. There is no elevator and stairs from the parking place are...

The reception is only open until 7pm and I arrived at 8:30pm, so I had to call the owner's handphone (number written on the entrance) to get the code to enter the hotel. The hotel has no lift. Luckily I travelled light. There is a wash-basin in my room, and a shared toilet on every floor. (I think I only saw 1 shower room in the whole building.) The hotel is a 5 to 10...

Excellent environment and host,i can say u will find almost everything inside the room,u name it,what i like the most is the roof top view where u can lie on ur comfy bed and look at the snowy alps mount. The best stay in my Austria trip. Highly recommend to those who are reading this.

It's not walking distance from main station but just take bus #45 or #46 no need to transfer, also bus stop is in front of the hotel!! Breakfast is much better than I expected. It's not only cold buffet but also hot buffet!! Most of staff was so nice except 1 who checked in me.

It's a nice accommodation. Although it's small, the owner makes you feel so welcome and special. All the staff are very nice. Breakfast is great. Love their different fruits choice and they have scramble eggs made when u order. Room is big and clean. Beds are comfy. Just feel like home out of home. The lake view is gorgeous. Location is close to bus stop, if you don't...

Great for a stopover, a more traditional hotel than the bigger chains. Breakfast was good & the rooms basic but clean. Two major selling points. One, the wonderfully welcoming dog. Aka the Black Sherriff! Two, the just as wonderfully welcoming man on reception/breakfast. You will be hard pressed to find a friendlier person in any hotel you ever visit. The embodiment of...

The gasthaus bit of the hotel was shut. I don't know if that's permanent or not, but It meant no dinner in the hotel and nowhere else in the village to eat. I lost even more weight overnight as a squadron of mosquitos were parked in the room and feasted on me until about 4.00 AM when I gave up trying to sleep and got up. Won't be going back.

really enjoyed our stay here, large comfortable rooms, only things they could improve, have someone available on reception when we arrived (we had to wait over an hour before anyone turned up) and as they are marketing to cyclists it would be good to have a washing machine and drying line available.

Host are great and very nice. Gave my kid a pack of candies when we are leaving. The room is so clean and the bed is so comfy. Very nice and quiet place to stay. Food place is walking distance. Also got a small kitchen for us to microwave food and sit down to eat. Will come again.

We had a pleasant stay on our trip in Austria and the location of the hotel is great along the Danube river. It is but a few minutes walk to the A-ROSA cruise ships which embarks opposite of the hotel. There are a few cafes and restaurants within the area.

If you want a panoramic view of the lake from your balcony, this hotel is the place to go to. The bathroom has be newly renovated. The best part of our day was enjoying the great breakfast while enjoying the lake view and cool breeze at the restaurant terrace.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We had an upper level, junior suit with windows across two walls which overlooked the river and mountains - views were stunning and made up for the lack of advertised balcony. Beds were comfortable and the room spacious. Location was very central for sights , shops and restaurants. We were able to walk everywhere and staff was helpfu...

This is probably the best accommodation you could ever find in Hallstatt. Couldn't believe the views that we got and the private garden we had, right in front of the lake. The house is huge and perfect for 5. It's great that it's not right in the centre of town where it's too noisy, but just a short walk away where it's quiet enough, and perfect if you drive.
