We were pleasantly surprised at our good fortune to stay at your beautiful hotel and with many amenities in the middle of Halstatt, Austria. Our room was well appointed and the dining room, where we had dinner and the breakfast buffet, provided great tasting food with a awesome view of the lake.We greatly enjoyed our short stay at the Seehotel Gruner Braum.
The Heritage Hotel are in a few separate location about 3-5 minutes walk apart. Although I had to walk uphill, the room had a high viewing point of the lake. The size of the room is small but in a prime location in Hallstatt, Austria.
The second time I have stayed here. I come for conferences in Archaeology which are held in the city centre so it is good to be able to walk from the hotel to the venues. So all I need is a room and breakfast, and for that it is fine. Very kind and friendly couple who answers to everything we asked. Some distance from Hallstatt but there are buses almost hourly and the scenery here at Gosau is breathtaking! We loved the apartment. It's so big and everything was beyond our expectation. Parking was easy.
The gasthaus bit of the hotel was shut. I don't know if that's permanent or not, but It meant no dinner in the hotel and nowhere else in the village to eat. I lost even more weight overnight as a squadron of mosquitos were parked in the room and feasted on me until about 4.00 AM when I gave up trying to sleep and got up. Won't be going back.
The only problem is that it was Easter Monday and we arrived in the morning without reception until 4pm.

Nice good hotel
It is a student dormitory, but for a few nights it was alright. Though summer days quite warm inside, because there is no AC. The location is good, close to the Danube and close to the city centre.
It is cheapest option within the vicinity. The bathrooms, toilet, and kitchen are shared. The owner is a friendly old lady who can't speak english well. The house is surrounded by farms with quite good views. There are cows and horses around. Basic room and facilities but the price is worth it!

the breakfast was just amazing!!!when we got to the breakfast table, everything was served on the table already. Instantly, the waitress came out to ask for our drinks and anything we wanted she prepared. It was the best breakfast ever!!!!

We had a pleasant stay on our trip in Austria and the location of the hotel is great along the Danube river. It is but a few minutes walk to the A-ROSA cruise ships which embarks opposite of the hotel. There are a few cafes and restaurants within the area.

OK. Parking was problematic, dense without maneaverability and exit from parking into the street too narrow. Construction going on nearby produced excessive noise and dust. Closing windows did not enable proper ventilation.
If you want a panoramic view of the lake from your balcony, this hotel is the place to go to. The bathroom has be newly renovated. The best part of our day was enjoying the great breakfast while enjoying the lake view and cool breeze at the restaurant terrace.
