Traveling to Laos? Find Xékong hotels

It was terrible. Especially the young 20ish girl at the front desk. she didn't staff the counter at the front desk but laid on the couch in the lobby playing with her cell phone. I had a problem with connecting to Wi-Fi so went back down and she was till laying on couch with cell phone and laughed when I told her my problem with wi-fi. the manager connected me to another network but did not seem too concerned about the poor service. I paid for 2 days but left after 1 day because it was so bad. Stay away is my recommendation.

We booked our stay in advance. When you arrive, the place seems nice, with a nice view on the river and nice garden. However, the place is completly abandoned and it only looks nice at the entry..There is nobody there and everything is locked with chains. We waited for over two hours, there was nobody around. Finally, someone came, showed us a terrible room and wanted money immediately. We tried to explain several times that we already paid, showing the booking and everything. She did not understand and kept asking for money. When we weren't willing to give this, she closed the room and left. Didn't see anybody else on the property for the entire time. There is something not right with this place, so we recommend to find another place!
