Good location but near to clubs ”
Overall it’s a good stay consider for its price. Famous restaurants nearby such as Yoshizuka, ichiran, ganso mentaiju. Shopping places like canal City Hakata and Don quijote is nearby too. Access to subway nakasu-Kawabata station is just within 3mins walk. However there is a lot of pubs and clubs nearby, so it is not a good idea to walk around at night. Staff know to speak English so it’s convenient for me to ask for guidance to certain places. But the cleaner who cleaned my room mistook my towel on the first day and even in the end they could not find it to return to me.
When I opened the door with a lock, I got the impression that it's an old hotel. But it seems to be managed fairly clean. I stayed for two days, so I didn't expect cleaning room, but after I come back I found the room has cleaned well and I got a new towel and bathrobe. :-) The hotel staff was very polite and kind so I was thankful for their service.
Location is the best”
Pros - location Cons - check in time 3pm
the hotel is closed to the underground railway.
You can walk here from Hakata in about 20 minutes but if you're lazy like me take a subway to Nakasu-Kawabata and walk about 5 minutes. The hotel is located on the quiet side of the walking street so it's not very busy and is within walking distant to restaurants and convenient stores. Room is spacious enough for one, bed is comfy and came with 2 kinds of pillow (soft and stiff ones). There's a cafe on the ground floor you can get a breakfast there for an extra cost (not that expensive, around ¥500 I think). Many evening staff do not speak English very well, day staff are much better in English.
Good service and nice food”
When you arrive at Kurokawa station, you can call the hotel to pick you up from the bus station. The distance around 2 km, by car around 3 minutes only. The room is very nice, using tatami floor, very Japanese style. Because of no restaurant nearby, then you must reserve the dinner and breakfast. The meal is a japanese style, very yummy. They serve fresh horse meat, very ooishi. They have an indoor and outdoor onsen, the onsen is very nice, you can see the outdoor view from the onsen room. They drive me to the bus station the next day, very appreciate.
In the middle of hakata and tenjin. Walking distance to both areas. Kawabata shopping street is just behind the hotel. Canal city, don quijote and ichiran main shop are all very close. Will stay here again. CONS: front desk officers know limited english although very helpful... no english channel...only one waste basket in the room... early check out policy (10 am)... quite small room but i guess that's common in japan.

Good Location- near subway and shopping street”
The hotel is located near the subway which is very convenient. The room is relatively clean but the bathroom looks a bit old and water shower is a bit weak. The air conditioning is not strong enough too. Overall it is still a good stay as the staff is really nice and helpful.
Comfortable stay. Location is great!”
Location is great. 2 stations away from Hakata Station. Nakasu Kawabata Station is about 5 minutes walk and so the Canal City. There is a beautiful park in front of the hotel. Kawabata shopping arcade is 3 minutes walk. There is a ramen store near the hotel going to shopping arcade about 2 minutes walk. Taste sooo good. The best ramen I’ve ever tasted. Reasonable price!
Money for value, very good location”
This hotel is money for value with basic facilities. The only obvious downside is that the check out time is 10am and the hotel staff insisted that you have to leave the room during the cleaning hours from 10am to 3pm.
pleasant and clean”
Staff are friendly and attentive. I left my luggage, left my name and info before going out again because it is still too early to check in. When I got back they knew who I was, provided my room number, and advised that the luggages were already in my room. The room is nice and clean. The hotel is two blocks away from Nakasu Kawabata station.
Good location and helpful staff. 3 minutes' walk to subway station. Hotel indoor car park can only allow small cars (less than 1.5m tall). If your car is too tall, you need to park it at the outdoor carpark.
Great location, new hotel, bare amenities, impolite amateur staffs”
Location is great and is everything for this hotel. It's in front of Canal city. But for the price, amenities and breakfast option are scarce just basic. Other hotels have more to offer. Worse is the amateur staffs they have. The lounge will be empty at times with no staff there. During breakfast, a kitchen staff roams around and just standing. Doesn't even offer a glass of water to those who comes to the buffet to welcome you. Not attentive to customers. Next, the concierge don't have information about busses and insist I take the train. The staff even said, "I am sorry I don't use the bus". And it's unfortunate because this hotel is literally infront of Canal City Hakata Mae bus station. I also asked for a taxi and the staff said, "It will take more time if I call a taxi for you. Can you get one by yourself downstairs? It will be faster." Why can't he help me get a taxi by going down too? It's rush hour and there's construction in front so it's hard. Insensitive unhelpful staff.
Great place to stay in Fukuoka! ”
Loved my stay! One block away from Kawabatadori Shopping Arcade and from there you can easily access Canal City! The room was surprisingly big for one person. The bed was comfy, there is a bathtub, flat screen TV, mini fridge and hair dryer. The room itself has a minimalist design, very aesthetically pleasing. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would consider staying again in the future!
This hotel is actually located very near the club areas (where you can find both male and female host). Approx 1-2 street away from the bridge. You can find the GATES shopping mall nearby, and also a shopping street that has food and some traditional stores. The room is big and the bathroom is comparable bigger than a standard business hotel - however it seems a little old. Water pressure is not that strong too. The air-conditional in the room seems to be centralised, and it is really warm. What we did was to open up the window a little to have some air ventilation, as well as some cool wind for the night.
Exit 5 of Nakatsu Kawabata station is the nearest to hotel. But still smoking smell in non smoking room.
Good hotel in a great position”
Right near the shopping mall and the canal near Hakata City, this hotel is very suitable for a short stay. The room was very small but functional and the Japanese style breakfast very good.
The location is great”
All the places that travelers would like to visit such as Hakata, Tenjin, etc are located near the hotel.
